A good place to have a child's birthday celebration. You can rent bowling lanes and have food catered for a fee a little expensive finger food chix tenders,fries ,hotdogs,pizzas,and drinks was good has a hot serving area.

Drinks were expensive but overall had a lot of fun!

They have several highly active wasp nests in the bases of the trees lining their property and the front sidewalk. It isn’t safe to walk to, or around this location; especially if you have small children or pets with you. I guess wear long pants and bring your own wasp spray if you’re determined to bowl.

Great atmosphere, with TVs, music, mood lighting. They of fenugreek ball bowling and an arcade. The food came quickly and was good (standard nachos, chicken nuggets, fries). The only downside is the cost. It cost almost $7 to rent a pair of bowling shoes, then they charge per game rather than by the hour... And the bowling device jammed on us 3 times (lane 23). So two of us paid over $100 for only an hour there plus two appetizers!!! I won't go back because it's too expensive, despite how nice the venue is.

Good experience and very friendly staff!

The service was good, but the balls got stuck several times, and we had some issues with our drink orders. That said, it's a fairly clean bowling alley and definitely serviceable for a day of fun!

Nice spot. The people are excellent - friendly, helpful, fast. Mgr willing to grab a mop to catch a spill. The room lighting is set dark - it's a party vibe, not a sports activity vibe (even at late lunch). Dark enough to be a tripping hazard - not kidding. Recent upgrade on scoring system / display (the old was still good). Good bar, decent beers. Bar food not up to snuff. I don't arcade, so don't know.

They were confused about the party set up. Had to fiddle with the lanes often to get the pins/ player set up right.

Went for a company get together and had my card info stolen and used by an employee. Talked to the "general manager" and he's claiming there's nothing that can be done.

This place needs some improvements. The lanes are not very well built and break frequently. The first time, the ball retrieval system didn’t work on lane 8. Also, the service here was NOT good. They take forever bringing out food and drinks, and the staff lied to us TWICE and tried to gaslight us when they forgot to make one of our drinks. First they told us they never made the order, then they said we had already received it (which we obviously didn’t). They say that they’re hiring but barely staffed with two people running a whole party group and other groups as well.

The place is pretty good overall, but customer service was poor. It was hard to find anyone (the front desk was empty for a long time). Also, we were placed on the wait list when we got there.

This will be my last time ever going to anything related to Bowleros. If you want them to charge you a month later and play with your hard earned money the go there. I’ll will never ever step a foot inside for a place that would play with your money that you work hard for. I understand that if I paid for something take it now or a few days later but a month later is unacceptable!!!

Last night our group of 30 women had an incredible experience at Bowlero! Thank you, Wayne! He went above and beyond to make our bowling event unforgettable! From booking the lanes to accommodating our specific needs, Wayne ensured everything ran smoothly. The lanes were fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing, and Wayne's hospitality made us feel welcome from start to finish. Thank you, Wayne, and the Bowlero team, for an incredible experience.

Bowling was good, animations were fantastic, the guy who gave us our shoes was yapping a bit but whatever. Also they give out free water when you’re there, like by the pitcher, very nice.

the staff and the management team were great and provided excellent services. the arcade is nice and had some vintage games which brought us back in time. The center is great and love the special that Bowlero had to offer in the company. The vibe and hospitality at this center is bringing us back in the days. I would to thank Chino the manager and the management team also his staff for giving us this opportunity to have a great time with friends and families. We will definitely come back and recommend our guest also family to stop by to check it out.

I would give them 0 stars if possible. This bowling alley closed 20 minutes early because their technology “automatically“ shuts off 20 minutes early without warning before they close. I feel ripped off, I feel cheated and I feel that the management is failing its customers by lying to them about their closing time. They made us pay extra for drinks and bowling before ripping us off by ending our game well before they said they would close. I am deeply disappointed and feel disrespected by the meager compensation the managers tried to provide. I would gladly go to any other option if there was one available

It's a bowling spot with all the stuff, beer, bowling, wings, tenders, pizza, arcade. It's not super cheap, so plan to spend a few dollars and you'll have fun.

Blast their horrible taste in music every night all night interrupting my sleep. Literally no one wants to hear Crank That by Soulja Boy at 11 PM in the year of 2023 closing in on 2024. Either find better music to annoy me with or lower the freaking volume. If this is how horrible this establishment is to the neighborhood it resides in then I cannot imagine how anyone else is treated here. Hooligans. Straight hooligans. Turn that ISH off bruh

Spent a few hours here bowling with friends. Bartenders were very nice. We had a bit of trouble with our lane, but the staff was so kind and helped as much as they could. The music was a tiny bit loud for our comfort, and the menu was fairly basic, otherwise, a solid experience.

0 stars for everything you can imagine! We went there to have fun with our family and friends and we all left very disappointed. Lane 27 was completely malfunctioned. We tried to get the attention of management/staff and they were not fixing the issue. It was just not fun to play like that.( Attached pictures of how our lane was) then, I went to the men’s bathroom and it was disgusting, blood everywhere.. I don’t even want to know what happened ! The bar is extremely expensive, $16 dollars 1oz (very small) tequila shot!??? Really? Cmon people! You guys have plenty of business and obviously your establishment is very expensive. Why don’t you hire more staff? Well, I won’t be coming back for sure. Also, because I complained a few times about the malfunctioning of our lane 27 to the manager on duty, after I left, she said to my friend and that I was an as****lo. Funny she mentioned that because she was the one screaming at me…

We had a reserved two lanes for a party for a staff holiday party. The package was over $700 and included two lanes, shoes, 2 pizzas, 3 appetizer-style trays, a salad, and 3 types of fountain drinks. One of lanes kept giving us problems. Our salad came and then we waited about 45 minutes to get the rest of our food. We were never given utensils or drinks until I had to hunt someone down who said he'd bring them and then we didn't see them again for another 15 minutes. At one point I looked around for any staff to just bring us some forks and the only staff I saw was the bartender who said she didn't have forks. There was no other staff to be seen for at least 10 minutes. For over $700 and some finger foods, I would have at least hoped the customer service was great, but it was not. I got an email asking how everything was. I responded with our concerns, and I never heard back from them. Very poor customer service. I'll book elsewhere next time for a bowling party.

This place is a real disappointment, we went out to have good time, but the lane malfunctioned , the staff was slow to fix the problem. They wasted our time no apology offered, nothing. Also they have a very dark parking lot we had our car damaged by some other guest no surveillance cams !!! Don’t go there!!!

Nice good, large spacious place. Available open free parking within. Friendly staff. Bowling shoes are relatively new. Con. Food takes a little longer to come out. There are also a couple but rare glitches with the scores on their monitor, and one of our lanes shut 15 minutes ahead. Those are minor issues that could have been taken care of had we called for help. So I still give them 5 stars. Thanks

i was very disappointed with my visit there tonight. even though at the start, they told us it would be an hr wait, but they will try to get us in earlier. Nothing happened till 1.5 hr later, and i had to ask forcefully to get a bowling lane, and once we got the lane, it was not functioning properly and not counting our scores. the bar staff were nice and polite but while we were waiting we ordered drinks and cripsy claiflower which also took 45 mins to arrive. cauliflower was overly fired not flavorful. i understand they have larger parties, and they take precedence over two pepole walk ins. But i would not go back again unless it's better managed.

Extremely rude and inconsiderate people. Tried bowling with different deals different days of the week but there’s always issues and it’s always overpriced for the experience you get! Also no regard for the residential area. Blasting music until past midnight. Purposely do not answer their phone so that they avoid being asked to turn it down. Employees being loud and yelling outside after the store is already closed. Edit: Mike hung up on me when I asked them to turn down the music at 12:45 AM after an hour of trying to call them.

Horrible experience if i could give 0 stars I would. We had 20 minutes left of playtime and were told that we couldn’t play anymore because another party had arrived. No-one told us the lane was reserved before we started playing and they wouldnt let us play on any other lanes. Manager was great and was trying to find a solution but others had attitudes. I understand if they told us before hand but the fact that your still pulling us out of our lane even though we werent informed before is kind’ve ridiculous. Ive been to other Bowlero’s and they manage the lanes much better then whatever i had experienced here. Also we spent $180 on food and everything was bad except for the garlic parm fries which were decent, Would not recommend.

We had a good overall experience. The lane and scoring system all worked good. The reservation process was easy and the lane was ready right on time. All the staff we nice and we all felt the food was good quality and size. They have small gaming area for kids as well. Tons of tv as well. Only negatives were amount of wait staff you work with. Their all nice but don’t really take ownership of your group and no really knows what your ordered. It was a Saturday night during college football and they had two games over 40 screens which was a little overkill, after three requests to switch one tv I gave up. I’d go back and recommend.

This is the worst place that I ever been. I was waiting for the drink and food 45min. The restroom was dirty no soap no paper. I get my chicken burger and this is what I get.

The facility itself was clean and well-maintained. The bowling lanes were in excellent condition, and the atmosphere was lively with neon lights and upbeat music, creating the perfect ambiance for a fun night out. The lanes also had helpful bumper options for kids, making it family-friendly.

I came here for my friend's birthday party. This place is horrible. I request a 50% refund because we had a horrible experience here. We tried out best to make up for it by continuously asking the workers to fix our lane. Guess what- the problem repeated 5 times. After that, we asked to look for a new lane and they couldn't give us one. We felt really bad because we were just trying to have a good time here and not one of the workers could suggest moving lanes before we asked them. After 20 mins, they gave us a lane, but not without ruining the mood. Great job! First time here and I already dislike this place. Bad customer service. Lanes were available and they didn't give us any.

3/3 games we played didn't work properly. We switched to another lane and it still didn't work. It would reset pins after the first bowl sometimes let one person bowl 3 times. Drinks are expensive. Bad service.

We ran into some malfunctions with our lane. The issue resolved themselves but slightly changed our scores. The drinks and beer are a little expensive for what they are. The interior is very nice with nice decor and is very clean. Great and friendly staff.

Way overpriced… Went there on a Sunday night after 6 - which is when most bowling alleys would have their best deals. The “special” was the only thing offered - which ends up being $31 per person for 3 games. Basically you are paying almost 12 per game for 2 games, 5 for the third, and 2 for shoes. I understand you are in “Bethesda”, but this isn’t much of a “special” (I guess it would be 120 for a family of 4? and that is before any food or drink). Would bowling 4 games be 60 per person? seems like it…. That “special” is horrible… Just drove 10 minutes up 270 to Gaithersburg (to another Bolero-owned alley) and paid less than 5 per game (with per game pricing) for their special.

The atmosphere was great; service was beyond TERRIBLE! Our server was super unresponsive and rude. The bowling was fun but expensive, and I’d recommend eating anywhere else in Bethesda.

Came here on a Monday evening and everything went great! We got an amazing deal through groupon and ended up only paying $36 for 2 hours, with shoes included. Everything seemed clean, there was a variety of food and it was just like any other decent bowling location. It might have been different during a busy day, but we had a great time!

Aiy I would not recommend this for someone who had their own equipment, really not meant for us. Staff was nice, and bowling options around dc are unfortunately limited, so I wouldn’t avoid outright, but you’re probably gunna have a bad time if you’re just there to practice

Bowlero Bethesda has excellent service. The one thing I really like about this bowling alley are the servers they are friendly and very respectful towards their customers. I will be coming back soon

It's clean in general, and I'm impressed with how nice they keep the restrooms. I've had problems having to go back four different shoes because the laces were knotted and I couldn't open them wide enough to get them on. We've ordered pizza there three times, and every time it was very different. I guess consistency problems do suggest that they make the pizza actually at the restaurant as opposed to using mass-produced frozen, so that's nice. And the shoelace thing seems more like a bowling alley problem in general and not them-specific. In my experience the lane pin counting system doesn't work the best in the world. Every time my family has been there we've had to have it reset once or twice, sometimes more In my experience the laneside ordering system is difficult to use. I'm still giving them a pretty good score though because everything comes across as clean and reasonably well maintained. I'm immunocompromised and I still feel safe going there.

Had a great time bowling. It’s a clean venue but don’t expect too much from the the food or bar service. I tried the cauliflower bites, definitely had better. The wings made up for it.

Don't go here. Seems like everything/every lane is broken. It was expensive, took over a half hour to get drinks I ordered and was repeatedly ignored by the bar when asked about the drinks. No one wanted to be there including the employees. Worst experience I've ever had at a bowling alley.

My friend wanted to go bowling to celebrate his birthday weekend. We had pizza and cauliflower bites. Some of the bites were a little salty but most of them were tasty. The atmosphere was packed with kids birthday parties but the moved us to an area not too busy. Eventually, we couldn't avoid kids moving next to us. It would be nice to have an adult only time frame. Overall, we had a great time and the service was great!

This used to be nice place. But, service is horrible now. Last two times bad, but this time really, really bad. First, they say someone will come for food order. No one comes. Then screen for order doesn't work. After an hour we go to the bar to order. Lose 10 minutes of overpriced bowing time ($160 for one lane, two hours, two of us!?). Then, there is no food next 25 minutes. I go to the bar, say if the food does not come in 10 minutes it doesn't make sense to get it. The manager says, sure, I will cancel it right now. With an "I don't give a sh.. " smile. I lose another 10 minutes arguing. Go back to lane, somehow food comes in 2 minutes now. On check-out I overhear the manager arguing with a guy who threatens to call the police. I think - we better get out of here quickly. They took $200 from us and ruined our visit. I never, ever went out without a tip, this was first time the tip was $0. But, hey, they know that - already added 18% tip into the bill. Not optional. However, guess what is optional - ever coming there again! EDIT: Just as explained, they reacted with copy/paste, " I don't care" message. Expect to be treated like that.

This business is a scam. Held daughters birthday and was charged over a $1000 for terrible service, overly crowded, and they did not fulfill the contract terms.

It’s beautiful when you walk in, but the service was terrible. We ordered at food and drinks and everything only the drinks. We finish both of our games and the manager was very nice to care of the bill but then they said they were out of quesadillas at the last minute.

So overall it's a good place to go for something more casual, but if your looking to practice for big leagues it's a bit of a different story. My issues is that if you bowl regularly you will notice that the lanes are about 5 feet shorter(most bowlers are like this) and any oiled at all so I wouldn't recommend using a personal ball unless your prepared to cause lane issues like your ball getting stuck, breaking back panel yo the lane, and even damaging your ball. Aside from that the place is good for a family event like going to the arcade and having a low learning curve ally.

Fun afternoon. The chicken strips tasted like my mom made them. I might go back just to eat them, no bull. They were not breaded, just battered and fried. So tasty and fresh. I was shocked. Sadly for us, the local school was out and a kid was having a party. I love kids but not when getting away from mine on a date with hubby. They were rolling on the floor in our lane and all over. The man at the register was great. He helped us get checked in between the large kiddie party and kept thanking us for our patience. I really liked that you could order food and drinks from a computer at your lane. Bathroom was clean. Food came quick. The downside was the ball return didn't really put the balls back. We had to keep pushing them out if the return hole. At one point, 6 of them were sick in the lane next to us, but the staff was quick to clear them. Something seemed weird with the lane, too. No matter how many times we got the center pin with force, we never got a strike. I think it's dry or something. Overall, we had a good time.

Usually never have an issue here.. And if I do it is resolved quickly. Every bowling alley can have issues with the lanes not working correctly. Tonight however we were served skunk beer in a pitcher, twice. They were nice enough to refund us, hence the 2 stars. But then our lane stopped working and wouldn’t reset. We asked for assistance and waited 15 mins without anyone coming. Left. Ruined a friday evening out with friends and we all feel sick from the beer.

If you have access to a vehicle, Bowlero Bethesda really beats out the Crystal City counterpart. It's not nearly as busy, and we instantly were able to get a lane. As always, a night bowling out is a fun way to spend an evening.

The manager that was there Monday night( I think his tag said Jess) He did the absolute best to be every hat in there and I love seeing people in high places doing their best to help his crew get through the late night rush, because he could’ve sat in the back and watched the young crew drown. Best energy ever! It’s the perfect spot for families, date night, reunions; it’s the perfect busy-intimate setting

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Bowlero during my last visit. I took my family out for a night of bowling to give us a reprieve from a very stressful and difficult month, and we had an enjoyable night -- this was due to the service that was provided to us, the atmosphere and the accommodativeness of the staff. The attentiveness and courteousness of the staff under the leadership of Jordan Camargo (the newly promoted Assistant General Manager) is to be commended. I will be back before too long, and I urge you to go say hello to Jordan when you arrive!!

DON'T GO THERE This place has the worst service and attitude! This is my first one star review ever!! We had to change 3 lanes, we ordered food and had to wait 40 minutes for it. And on top of that the manger blamed us for her injured arm when she tried to fix the lane and not having a technician on site. When I wanted to complain she said it is a corporate.

While Bowlero was a blast last evening, it wasn't due to the customer service or facilities, per say. We had fun because we were with family and friends, but we came up against a lot of rude and lacking customer service, in addition to malfunctioning lanes. We waited 2.5 hours for a lane. That was okay, as we hadn't had a reservation and it was a Saturday. What wasn't okay was how rude the staff was, and how unhelpful they were. From the moment we walked in to put ourselves on the wait list, a young gentlemen (college age) behind the counter was very rude to us. We asked how long it may take to get off the wait list and whether he thought there was hope we would ever get a lane by end of the evening. He shared that we likely won't get off the wait list because of how many folks are booking reservations. When we said, no problem, that's fine, we'll put ourselves on the list, we continued to ask how the pricing worked. He just pointed to the sign as if he couldn't be bothered with our questions. We proceeded to have a great time with the arcade for 2 hours or so. There were a few malfunctioning machines, but one glaring malfunction with a ball glitch, was promptly taken care of by the manager. After two hours, I happen to check back on the wait list to see how things had progressed, and found that my name had been recently crossed off as if I hadn't answered a call. I was never called. The rude gentleman behind the counter told me he called me, and had been told by someone (not sure whom) that I had left the facility. I looked at my phone and had zero missed calls. Turns out, he mistakenly called the wrong number. No apology from him. From there, they placed us at Lane 1 & 2, which didn't work - for 20 minutes we were left to our own devices, and told to just switch from Lane 2, which was having issues to Lane 1. But, were not told how to actually do that with the computer system - i/e changing names from one lane to the other. Meanwhile, we had 5 children who were trying to stay patient (if that's even a possible request for 4-9 year olds). While we were waiting for help, I tried to order food off the computer screen at the lane. It wasn't working. I flagged down a waitress to help. She took our order, which we then received 1 hour later. We eventually were moved to Lane 7/8 due to the tech difficulties at 1/2, and were greeted with another ordering screen that was blacked out and not working. Also, the bowling game computer up above us was not calculating strikes/spares up on screen. It would show a 0 for a Spare, for example. Finally the food arrived, and it was without napkins and water, which we had requested with our initial order over an hour before. There were two very nice people at the facility - the manager, and Charlene (sp?) at the bar. Besides that, very rude "I can't be bothered with you" staff. I kept wondering if the "baked in service charge" was what was making them so rude. They had nothing to lose with terrible service. For the price you pay at Bolero, I would expect SO MUCH MORE. It was a bummer to experience the rude staff and the tech glitches. Thank goodness being with friends and family is fun, or else we would have demanded all our money back (which we contemplated several times during the evening). I hope Bowlero can align with their mission statement as displayed on their website. The company is very far from what they strive to achieve.

It's a lot of fun but boy is it expensive. The food is also sub par and the staff have this habit of putting you very close to a group that is already bowling even when there are a ton of open lanes that would give more privacy. Overall I'd say it's worth going to (we will be going back) but they've got some kinks to iron out.

I have just had an absolutely horrible experience here today. To be fair, it was incredibly busy and I did not have a reservation for taking my two children to bowl today. However, when I got there, the manager, Taccara (I apologize if I misspelled this), put my name on a waitlist. We were the second on the list. She told me that she would have a lane for us in about half an hour. About 45 minutes later, I checked in with her for an update. She told me five minutes. I took that to mean we’d have a lane in five minutes. She told me later that she meant she would have an update in five minutes. I came back about 30 minutes later and she told me that it would be over an hour before we had a lane. She told me that every lane was reserved until 8:00. I was upset with her because this is information she knew when we arrived and she didn’t tell me. We could have made another choice of how to spend our afternoon. She refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and then told the next people in line that they could get on a waitlist without telling them that they would wait at least an hour and still not be guaranteed. She was incredibly unprofessional and downright deceitful. I get being stressed because of it being so busy. I don’t get deliberately misleading customers. She didn’t like that I pointed it out to other customers on the waitlist that I had been on the waitlist for well over an hour already and still had at least an hour wait. She threatened to call MPD because of this. I admit I was being a bit obnoxious at that point, but she was still assuring customers that they would get to bowl when there were at least ten names on the waitlist and literally nobody on the list had been served. I was leaving at that point anyways. I went to get my kids from the arcade and departed without any issues. I’m sure the bowling experience would be fun, and I’ve learned my lesson about getting a reservation on Saturday. Still, this could have been handled better.
