Went here with a friend and had a fabulous time! They actually got us in an hour early before our reservation started, which was great!! The waitress we had was outstanding. She provided the help and assistance to know what to order to make our time even better! The drinks and food were phenomenal!! It is slightly on the more expensive side, but I find this restaurant to be worth it! Highly recommend and already want to go back!

Good meeting spot for a date Valet parking is a nice touch for tge busy area it is located Seasonal patio seating is plentiful Staff are good at what they do and friendly Food selection is adequate on the menu and entrees (pre meal appetizers) seem a bit limited Overall the presentation and taste was quite good. Not a place to go cheap and the drinks are high end with a limited 1 hour happy hour

The service was a standout aspect of the evening. The staff was professional and friendly, striking the right balance between attentive and unobtrusive. The meal started with the escargot, which was perfectly cooked and accompanied by good bread—crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, ideal for soaking up the flavorful garlic butter. Next up were the gougères, which were a true delight. These little cheese puffs were light, airy, and packed with a delightful cheesy flavor. We opted for the Duck à l'Orange and a steak for the main courses. The duck was served with a beautifully balanced sauce—not too sweet. However, the initial temperature of the magret (duck breast) was rare, almost blue. Fortunately, the staff was quick to adjust the temperature to our preference. The steak was another evening highlight, cooked to perfection, tender, and juicy. We also sampled the mussels, which were quite good. We indulged in profiteroles, an assortment of cookies, and a floating island for dessert. The profiteroles were classic and satisfying, and the cookie assortment offered a nice variety. However, the floating island was a bit too sweet for my taste, which slightly overshadowed its delicate texture. It was a pleasant dining experience. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic French dining experience, especially if you enjoy classic dishes prepared with care.

The food and service were unremarkable. The escargots seemed to lack flavor, suggesting they might not be fresh, possibly frozen. The cheese platter was satisfactory, but for the price, I expected either a larger quantity or higher quality, except for the Brie which was quite good. The setting, however, was delightful: a street musician played gentle tunes across the street, adding charm without overwhelming noise, and the patio was nicely lit, complementing the perfect weather, although there was no cover for rain or strong sun. As a side note, being French, I admit my standards might be a bit higher than average.

We were given a gift certificate to Niche and having not been, I was unsure of what type of experience it would be. My mindset was a one-and-done, just here using a gift card. The atmosphere was perfect. Our server, Tea (Tee-uh) truly made the experience ever better - she's awesome - ask for her! The food - every single bite was wonderful. Highly recommend spending an evening here and will definitely go back.

So so so good. Great place for dates, treating visiting family to something St. Louis based that’s delicious, out of the ordinary, and won’t break the bank. (All Niche’s restaurants are reliable—and have great mixology!) The food & menu can feel fancy, but the vibe & waitstaff are relaxed & make guests feel comfortable. Highly recommend the beignets—my *only* negative feedback is that they ran out of them last time we went for brunch. A True Tragedy…(& good excuse to revisit!) Update: Still awesome.

I’ve eaten here before and wasn’t disappointed until last Saturday night. We always seem to get seated in the back, even after making reservations well in advance. What I’ve never experienced before was the poor service. Our appetizers took 45 minutes to come out, so they threw more wine at us. The mains took even longer. My mussels were TINY, and it was a main course! We did not stay for dessert…

Brasserie by Niche offers a delightful brunch experience in St. Louis. Sweet tooths will rejoice over the airy beignets, perfectly complemented by the tangy housemade cheese and rich plum compote. For a savory option, the quiche is a winner. Packed with roasted chicken, mushrooms, and spinach, it boasts a perfectly flaky crust. Don't miss the veggie hash, featuring a vibrant medley of seasonal vegetables and topped with perfectly poached eggs. The frisée salad is a delightful mix of textures and flavors, with crisp greens, savory bacon, and a runny poached egg tied together with a delicious bacon vinaigrette. Save room for dessert, because the chocolate mousse is a decadent finale. Rich and smooth, it's beautifully complemented by the brown sugar cocoa nib tuile for a delightful textural contrast. Overall, Brasserie by Niche offers a delicious and satisfying brunch experience.

My wife and I have been coming here since it first opened with Gerard and Adam. What is incredible is the consistency to deliver delicious dishes, a charming and warm atmosphere, and friendly, attentive service. This gem remains untouched by the ups and downs which affect most other restaurants. It’s truly remarkable how consistent and reliable Brassiere has been over the years. My most recent visit, was unexpected as I had to drop my wife off at BJC to support a friend. While I waited, I decided to take our dog to get some water and a glass of wine, dog had the water, along with a few snacks. My wife called and I needed to make a hasty departure. The staff asked if I wanted anything to go and I said I had to rush back to the hospital. They produced a bill for a penny as a courtesy because I was rushed then topped it off with two complimentary desserts. Such a simple gesture but very meaningful. The Brassiere is an absolute must and a welcomed institutional anchor to the West End.

I would give it a 10 star if I could! Was in town for work and found this gem on accident, it wasn’t far from my hotel. Wasn’t too hungry so I just got a glass of wine and the cheese board. Everything was so delicious and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was this place was also fabulous. I went back again and this time I was hungry! I got a really cute table by the window and just loved it. I got a glass of the sparking rose since I knew I was getting the flounder for dinner, it was the special on Wednesday. But to start I got the escargot. Wow! Just wow! It is the best one I have ever had so far in my life and flavor was so good, the French bread was toasted perfectly. My entree the fish was cooked to perfection, lightly pan fried in this butter sauce, paired with broccoli. Amazing! If you’re in the area don’t even think about it! Must go!! If I am in the area again I am coming here every night lol.

Brasserie was a wonderful treat after a long weekend of work in St. Louis. The warm reception an hour before closing time and the restaurant’s ambiance were great. Susie, our waitress, was super, and the food was off the chain! Then there was the culinary excitement provided by one dessert in particular: key lime crème brûlée!!! They have a great outdoor seating area that you almost feel like you’re not in downtown St. Louis… Brasserie by Niche is a well-loved French restaurant located at 4580 Laclede Avenue in St. Louis' Central West End. A truly remarkable gem of a restaurant! We were greeted like old friends by Paris (yep, that's her name, working at a French restaurant!) and Paul, our server, was *wonderful.* He checked in on us regularly without being intrusive; we ordered the coq au vin at his recommendation and I think I'm going to be dreaming about it for years to come. Also, the golden beet dish?? Incredible. Granted, every bite of EVERYTHING was incredible. If you're a fan of cocktails, you will be floored by Robbie's creations. I swear, he's not "just" a bartender. He's a creative mixologist who knows how to create the most interesting, complex cocktails, and he's an absolute delight of a human to boot! Thank you, Brasserie, for giving this Francophile a transportive sense-memory of her time in France. The food, the ambiance, the staff - it was all impeccable and left a lasting impression on these Milwaukee tourists. (We were so enraptured by taste that it didn't occur to us to take photos until dessert!)

Went for Mother's Day Brunch. Overall the experience was good with one notable flaw. The sweet beignets were quite tasty, but they paled in comparison to the rhubarb muffin with honey butter. I've never had one before, but it was amazing. The croque madame was really good, and the fries it comes with were delicious. The atmosphere was quite cozy, and it wasn't too loud to have nice conversation at the table. The big failing was that my wife ordered the French breakfast specifically so she could have a croissant. They ran out of croissants after she ordered, but didn't let her know, they just brought out toast instead and didn't say anything. It's understandable to run out of something, it happens, but it's quite annoying that they didn't let her know, and give her the chance to request something different to replace the croissant instead of basic toast. Based on my previous experience here I would have expected a higher level of service than that.

We’ve eaten at Brasserie many times before and it’s always been good, but this time was an exception mainly due to the service. After sitting down, our waitress came by and promptly gave us bread. That was the end of the good service. She then showed up about 20 minutes later to take our order, but we still still have not ordered drinks. We ordered everything at once, because we told the waitress we were on a tight schedule. The drinks arrived and she dropped by again about 15 minutes later to ask if we wanted another glass of wine. After that, we never saw her again for the rest of the meal. Our food took forever (almost another hour), and two of us had to leave before the food arrived. The manager could not have been nicer, but her waitress still never returned the entire evening to our table. However, she walked by a couple of times and never made eye contact, even before the manager took over. Very strange. The manager was very generous in not charging us for the meal as she recognized it was a very poor experience and we didn’t even eat our meal there and had to take it with us in to-go bags since we ran out of time. As we walked out, I saw the waitress and asked why she had abandoned us. She got very defensive and said that she was busy doing wine service for another table and some other ridiculous excuse, but never apologized. Unfortunately, it only takes a waitress like this to give a good restaurant a bad reputation. even before the manager took over. We may go back, but it will be a while as our dinner was ruined by this experience.

I found Brasserie to be a stellar dining experience in the STL upscale food scene. It's an intimate dining experience that is perfect for dates or nights out with friends. The menu changes since last year are pleasant and I now feel there is a great variety of options spanning throughout traditional french cuisine and done unexpectedly well. The service was slightly slow for a party of two, but a busy Friday night rush combined with an otherwise exceptional time helps overlook the wait. There is an extensive wine and cocktails list, including an assortment of well-crafted non-alcoholic drinks. I definitely recommend checking this place out if looking for an elevated dining experience in STL.

Great Brasserie in a lovely area of St Louis. Best trout almondine I’ve had in years! Nice wine selection and homemade ice cream that was over the top with homemade caramel sauce. AND, our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and delight. Will definitely dine there again.

Amazing service. Lindsey was outstanding. Food was overall excellent some dishes better than others. The floating island is not to be missed. Amazing !! Likewise the trout and braised beef ! Cheese puffs, although executed well, would probably not order again. Look forward to going back.
