Biscuits, brioche, iced coffee... The best plant based place I've been to.

The food and customer service is off the chain. One word, delicious

The food - I assume it depend what you take : brownie is a no, too dry The cinamon roll was really good. The coffee was not an espresso shot to make a cappuccino - for me it’s also a big deal

The food was delicious. I had the Avocado toast with tofu scramble which was really good. For the most part, staff was kind and helpful. However, the girl at the counter was rude which is why I'm giving 3 stars. My mom and I visited 40 to 45 min before closing, not realizing the establishment closed at 2. We're tourist and wanted a quick bite before we started our journey. Around 2:10, someone came into the store and the girl commented they were closed. Not realizing they were closed, I apologized and told her we didn't realize it was closing time. She replied with, "You can see the hours are posted on the door and I'm putting chairs on the table, which should tell you its closing time". Completely unnecessary response. I'm not sure of what her issue was but she is definitely in the wrong industry. Her personality was awful. I complained to the manager ( I'm assuming) and she had a conversation with the employee . However you all need to get someone who likes people and their job.

100% Vegan - must try baked goods! Choc chip + walnut cookies are fantastic Some Gluten-Free options available, GF brownie was delicious! Entree - Tofu scramble on fresh baked biscuit was the group favorite Amazing staff - easily accommodated substitutions to add / subtract or on the side to order preference

Absolutely loved the coconut and chocolate cake. Everyone at my bday party was obsessed with them and they were way bigger than expected.

Very cute relaxing gluten free bakery. We ordered the peach biscuit, chocolate croissant, avocado toast, and peanut butter Blondies and everything was very good (Blondies were amazing in particular!!!). Lattes were great as well!

Can't believe that I was able to find a totally vegan restaurant in NEW ORLEANS and right around the corner from where I was staying! The breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon buns that I had were excellent. Top tier!

Didn't seem like there was enough help. Most of the bakery items were gone at 830 in the morning and there was a constant line of 5 or 6 people. What I had was good, cold brew and tea biscuit.

Very warm and great place to have breakfast/lunch everything is tasty and makes you want to try all all the menu- and prices are so reasonable. Wonderful crew !

This place is always randomly closed and their hours are so specific. I would give a higher rating but I literally have come to this location multiple times only to see it closed or hours changed. What bakery opens at 8am? That's if they even open. Summer hours are very limited, but they don't tell you, you have to show up and find out. Just go to the other location lol

Good find when visiting NOLA!! The brioche donuts are irresistible and they also have all day breakfast, sandwiches, soups, and tons of breads, all which are vegan! I tried the lemon curd brioche (8/10), the almond funfetti brioche (10/10), the cinnamon roll with nuts (5/10) , the matcha latte (7/10), and the Egg O vegan biscuit sandwich with egg and bacon (8/10). Definitely give this place a try!!

This is a must visit place on your trip to Nola. We had the quiche, tempeh sandwich and the biscuit sandwich. This quiche is the best I have ever had. The chocolate donut melted in my mouth (and that’s why no picture). They sell a variety of breads which are freshly made. Highly recommend this place

Vegan Breakfast sandwhiches 10/10!!!!!!!! Highly recommend, I went back for seconds a few hours later. Also recommend the hot drinks. I left satisfied

We were in New Orleans for almost a week and ate here every day, it was sooooooo goooooood!

So good we've gone several times on a short vacation to the area. The mushroom strip sandwich and the melt were particularly good, as were the pastries. Get a donut, you will not regret it.

Delicious vegan breakfast, even a few gluten free options. I had a tofu omelet, "cheese" grits and a latte. The coffee was tasty, and the food excellent. I'll be back.

Just wow! Long time vegan who travels the world and US trying vegan places and everything we had here was the best we’ve ever had!! Nothing compares to plant based organic, most vegan food these days is wildly unhealthy but this place was truly legit.

No complaints about the food, but anyone with allergies, BE WARY, the servers couldn’t care less and know nothing about the allergen content of our food, we were clear about a nut allergy and they told us that a certain dish did not have nuts despite an allergen sheet saying it did, and they were more interested in getting us to buy the food then being careful about it

Awesome spot for breakfast or lunch in New Orleans. The breakfast sandwiches can’t be beat and having an entirely vegan menu makes the process easy. Being a bakery, the pastries are amazing. We have been every time we have come to New Orleans since finding this spot. I highly recommend!

Being vegan at conferences can be rough, but this place saved me for a few breakfasts and lunches. Thank you!

The baguette was fantastic and I would not exaggerate if I said it was the best baguette I had in the United States. I believe their levain bread must also be very tasty and high quality. However the window pastries was not attractive at all. Everything looked dried. I really wanted to try a vegan pastry but I didn’t get anything. I also tried their matcha latte which was not tasty at all. If you know about matcha then it is not the place to get it. It tasted more milk than matcha flavor. The girl who served was extremely friendly and helpful.

This is one of the best lunch cafes I have ever been to! I am a vegetarian and sandwich options are always so limited anywhere else. So many options I had a hard time deciding. Even if you’re not vegetarian you should check this place out!!

I'm not a vegan eater, nor do I write these reviews ever, but this place is GOOD!!! The Creole Omelette toast was great and the Tea Biscuit was one of the best pieces of bread I've ever eaten.

Tasty Cafe au lait, Delicious pumpkin Cheddar biscuit with vegan cheese and Cajun sausage

We got the biscuit tower and the cheesy grits. Both were okay but nothing special. The gluten free brownie was fantastic. The woman that was behind the counter taking orders was kind of stand off-ish, almost rude. A smile and a hello goes a long way.

Lovely little spot with yummy food. Try the vegan cheezy grits (they are also gluten free)! You can request a deconstructed egg scramble, which makes it gluten friendly.

Very good place, it is not jammed like all the restaurants with good prices in NOLA. The food is all vegan, it is very delicious and healthy, the prices are very good.

Love that the entire .enu is vegan. Everything thing was good from the cheese grits to the cinnamon roll.

I loved this place! I’m vegetarian and came with three non-vegetarian friends and they also enjoyed their food! The muffalanda was super delicious, and the staff was really sweet too.

I ate here with friends every day for my week-long trip to New Orleans. My friends are vegan, so we needed a vegan-friendly option, and this place far exceeded my expectations. I'm always open to trying new food, but I really enjoyed my experience at Breads on Oak as a non-vegan. The food was great and I enjoyed trying their coffees and pastries. It was a staple during our trip, and the customer service made us feel at home.

As a vegan visiting New Orleans, I knew I would need to find a decent breakfast to start my mornings. During my weeklong visit, not only has Breads on Oak been decent, but it's been amazing! Since my first meal here, I've come here every day for breakfast. The flavors are delicious, and the service is wonderful. My friends and I tried almost the entire menu, aside from the soup and a couple of the sandwiches. Hands down, this has become our favorite spot! This is a must-try for any vegans traveling to New Orleans, and especially if you're staying in the French Quarter. My favorite part was the variety of options, as this is a fully vegan establishment. We came in the mornings, and it never got too busy, though we did stop in one afternoon and found that it was packed and busy. Our stay was from a Wednesday to a Tuesday.

WOW. Incredible food and service! They went above and beyond to make the king cake special for my husband's birthday... and it's also one of our new favorite things. SO FREAKING GOOD. Highly recommend! The muffanda and pumpkin biscuit sandwiches are also crazy delicious. I cant imagine anything from this place not being ridiculously good. We're only here for a week but will definitley come back to get more before we leave!!

I am gluten free and was afraid I was going to get bored of just the salad and fries for lunch but I had it 3 days in a row and it was amazing every time. Would love some more gf options in the future though.

The pumpkin cheddar biscuit vegan breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. This vegan eatery could have fed me every morning of my five-day visit to the area and I would have had something different and satisfying each day. If I'm ever lucky enough to be down there again, I will definitely visit again.

This is one of my favorite spots downtown. Everything was everything. I absolutely enjoyed my food, the service and the atmosphere.

Loved the muffanada, fancy farmer, and the pecan brownie! Then got back in line to take carrot cake and chocolate ganache cake with us!

The bread is terrific (even for French people), very welcoming service, and the place is very cosy inside to have breakfast.

Wish I found this place earlier! Got the avocado toast and the biscuit tower. The sausage in the biscuit tower was too “meaty” for me but still very good. The avocado toast with tofu scramble was excellent. Should probably be called a tofu scramble toast with avocado but either way tastes great. Service is super friendly, can’t wait to taste the sandwich and pastries I got to go.

Best sourdough in town. The avocado and scrambled tofu toast is a must try. So good.. I pre-ordered online and would like to bring 3kg of bread back to HK and share happiness with my family. When I went picking up my bread this Wednesday, the lady told me there wasn't enough bread for me to take away and refunded my purchase. To be honest I'm a little bit disappointed and not happy about that. Your bread is really good but what's the point of preorder online if there's insufficient stock to sell? Honestly I'm a planner and not a last-minuter, I pre-ordered online 3 days before the pick up..

Omg go here. Everything is soooo good and really nice to have some greenery to eat with all the other food around. Vegan, but you can't tell. The pumpkin cheddar biscuit was unexpectedly delicious with a little kick to it....it did stain my fingernails a little yellow for a half day though. Avocado toast also hit the mark! Come here.

I was in town for a wedding and looking for vegan options. I got the biscuit tower and a chai latte. Both were super delicious. Nice staff, relaxed atmosphere.

some of the best vegan food in nola!!

We were out having a morning stroll and came upon this place. I have a dairy allergy, so finding things to eat can be a challenge. We quickly realized this place was entirely vegan, so we bought some treats. Everything we ate was incredible, we'll definitely be going back to try some other things. It doesn't matter if you have an issue with dairy or not, if you're down on Bourbon Street, swing in and treat yourself.

Real grateful for this place. I'm trying to eat a little more frugally throughout the week, and if I forget or was otherwise unable to pack a lunch, the $7 soup & bread is just right. The staff is consistently friendly and the music is pretty good too.

By far some of the best, vegan pastries we have ever had! And we live in NYC. They were fluffy soft, and just the right amount of sweet. Even the savory dishes were awesome. The only downside is most items are on the pricey end, but it is well worth the deliciousness!

We got the blueberry scone and the shortbread cookie. The blueberry scone was quite dry and didn’t have much flavour. The shortbread cookie was really good though! While it didn’t have the crumble texture of a typical shortbread, it was still buttery and delicious. The inside of the bakery kind of smelled weird if I’m being totally honest. There is seating inside but it’s not overly welcoming so we decided to eat our treats outside at a neighbouring bench.
