Nice table by the window. We had appetizers : coconut shrimp- good. I had the clam chowder, the most watery chowder ever. Like they had made it for 50 people but a hundred showed up. Our chicken sandwich was a little rubbery, but flavorful. Veggie pizza was good with a nice crust. Service was fine.

Most horrible meal we have had all week. The rubin sandwich was dry and almost inedible, my wife fish sandwich was dry and tasteless. We will not return ever. We visited this restaurant last year and it was so so. Service (Scott) was great and drinks were also great. Poor menu choices, we are on the coast and no sea food Choices! Lots of other restaurants to choose from. Buyer be ware ! We are not difficult people but beware of tourist traps!

If you don’t want to keep asking for your drinks to be refilled, where your food is at, don’t come to this restaurant. Food was ok, main issue was the service.

This is my 3rd time coming here. The first two times was amazing. The 3rd time the menu had completely changed. I don’t feel like they should call themselves a restaurant anymore. It’s more a bar and grill place now. Sandwiches, fried food and steak. 2 years ago we had salmon with a lemon caper sauce, wild rice and a fresh veggie. That’s what I was looking forward too. Today was soggy French fries and wings. My son, who’s a chef, was looking forward to taking his girlfriend here because of his last experience. It was utter disappoint for him. Atmosphere-place was empty. I even made a reservation based on how it was last time. Not needed now.

False advertisement for happy hour!

Bad Business, states they have happy hour 4-7 beers for $3. They had none, stated that that starts on this week end at the upstairs bar. They should of never gave us the menu with the happy hours drinks. Bartender Dani apologized we weren't the only ones that were complaining

I gave Christine the waiter, a 50% tip and we took home a steak and it was bloody, The Ashworth hotel answered we just made me another plate and hung up in my face.

Scott the bartender provided excellent service. The steak tips melted in your mouth they were so tender. I could cut them with a butter knife. The fish n chips and burgers were delicious also. This was our first time there and we will definitely be back

First time I was here, great food great service, the second time, the bar is full so I siit at a table, the waitress tells me there is a 45 minute wait, but I say all I want is a drink no food but still a 45 minute wait. No way, I will spend my money elsewhere, the place isn't even half full, middle of winter, you should be thankful for business, just a drink, 45 minutes, wow, why. If you are going to run a business, run a business, otherwise close, won't be back again.

I was unexpectedly impressed by this restaurant! My immediate first thought when we entered was the room looked a bit dated. That thought was quickly replaced with exceptional food, bevies and service. First, after a long drive, the Summer Time Tini hit just right! And since we were "by the Sea" we had to get some seafood. We had wonderful bowls of clam chowder (good size pieces of clams in it) and the bacon wrapped scallops which were IN-CRED-IBLE!!! We all had entrees off the specials menu for dinner (I had another scallop dish that was out of this world!) and they all made us feel like we were in a world class, michelin star restaurant! Our server made sure our every need was met and we didn't feel rushed at all - even having a table by the window so we could watch the ocean while we ate and sipped on the last bits of summer. Bottom line, don't let the decor fool you, this place is a gem by the Sea! I'm giving Breakers at Ashworth by the Sea 5 stars, despite the atmosphere because the service and food more than compensated for the dated atmosphere. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Food was awesome! Wish we could have had one of everything! Isaac was very attentive, very funny guy! Prices here were super low compared to the rest of the spots on the boardwalk! Easy to find location too! Very good all around spot! With awesome staff

Cheryl was great waitress at the Breakers restaurant. Went there for lunch as soon as we got to the hotel. She was quaint and efficient. We got the fish tacos they were delicious and crispy. Always come here when we go to Hampton beach. Minutes away from the beach.

The only positive is the food was good. We stayed at the hotel and I called to make a reservation but they did not answer the phone so I walked downtown to the restaurant. Rita the F&B Director let me know it was first come first served. When we arrived later that evening to sit down she asked "do I have you on my list?" Confused because she told me earlier they don't do reservations. Next came Christine the server. I asked Christine if the brussel sprouts appetizer was gluten free. Her response "no they have apple cider vinegar." I let her know apple cider vinegar is gluten free. She looked confused and said "they have something." Frustrated by this point I decided against even ordering them. Pedro delivered the food, he was the best employee at this restaurant, thank you Pedro. Next Christine tells us the fireworks are cancelled due to "the birds." It's memorial day weekend and per Hampton beach Facebook page they were still on so I asked "why would they cancel due to the birds?" She responded " they are poisonous to the birds." Confused and frustrated at the whole experience we asked for the check and left. I stopped at the front desk on my way out and asked the girl if fireworks were cancelled due to the birds. She seemed confused and asked Rita, the F&B director who's server ten minutes earlier told me yes. Rita said she hadn't heard that they were cancelled. Ten minutes later the fireworks commenced. Moral of the story, this restaurant needs to train their staff in gluten free food options and ingredients, decide of they are going to do reservations or not and not tell people fireworks are cancelled because of the birds!

Attached to Ashworth by the Sea Hotel. Moderate prices. Just an okay varierty on the menu, but the food was good. Kids menu is available. Service was good.

Great place and good food! We loved our waitress Christine! Such a pleasant woman and so nice!! Love the hotel and restaurant. Will come again soon.

We’re staying at the hotel and went to Breakers for dinner to go. I had a house salad with grilled shrimp. They gave me 3 shrimp, the salad wasn’t cold or fresh. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were terrible! They didn’t even cook the mushrooms plus they were stuffed with Italian sausage in the stuffing which ruined them. My husband ordered shrimp scampi which came with 5 shrimp and he said all he could rates was the sherry in the sauce. The drinks were ok but overpriced. We spent $129 including tip on a bunch of terrible food and overpriced drinks!

Great atmosphere, drinks are off the charts with excellent food. The staff from the bartenders to the wait staff were working very hard and making a fun environment when the DJ started. Overall an excellent.

This restaurant is conveniently attached to the Ashworth by the Sea hotel. Christine was an amazing waitress - place was busy (only restaurant on the strip open) and she didn't miss a beat! Fish tacos were amazing!

We ate burgers, nacho and tenders. Tenders are good but We found Hair in nacho. And we wanted medium rare but we ate well. the waiter held the part of the glass that was in contact with my lip and renewed my drink. How can I drink from this glass? Actually I don't want to talk too much about this restaurant. Definitely a restaurant I will never come back to.

This is part of the Ashworth hotel. I honestly was not impressed. So we stayed over night and it was not a pleasant experience. So we had a great day on the beach. First we came to the bar for a few drinks. It wasn't to busy and it wasn't busy. Our bartender was named Jonny. My god was he the worst bartender I have ever had. I asked about the happy hour special, specifically the five dollar well drink. I drink jack and coke. I asked if these were part of it. He stated. Sure, I hate my job and I don't care. I didn't mine so I had a few more. The service was absent. He was more concerned with a certain couple than everyone else at the bar. Once the tab came another bartender checked us out. I said Jonny said they were five bucks. He yelled no I didn't and smiled at me. Honestly I was irritated. Do not tote you hate your job and lie. It's uncalled for. I don't typically leave bad reviews but this one takes the cake. We went back for dinner service and the food was.over the top. Absolutely delicious. There seafood is on point. It's to bad one person ruined this place for me. Definitely not coming back. Maybe you will have a better experience...

The Breakers Restaurant and Bar is located next to the lobby of the Ashworth by the Sea hotel. I dined here with my wife two times on my recent trip to Hampton Beach. We arrived at the hotel late on a Friday night and dined here because it was the only place open. The hostess initially ignored us but eventually talked to us. Even though the restaurant was open, she seemed upset with us for arriving late and tried pushing us to a “self-service” place at the bar (because she “had already cleaned the tables”). Our server Dan was good, but the hostess was extremely rude. We went back the next night because I found a $50 dinner coupon in our room. The same hostess was there, and she again seemed annoyed with us for showing up. While the place was half empty, she said it would be a 30-minute wait (and then she changed her mind and said it would be a 60-minute wait). The decision seemed to be made solely to reduce her workload. She did not seem to care about us at all. In addition, I saw her standing around doing nothing several times while I was eating. Our burgers were good, and the server was helpful. Overall, I was not happy with the experience and will never go back (unless they give me another $50 coupon.)

My friend and I ate dinner tonight at the Breakers restaurant at the Ashworth and everything was delicious! My friend is a prime rib connoisseur and so that’s what she ordered. She said it was the best prime rib she’s ever had. I heard someone at the next table rave about the clam chowder, so I ordered that along with some chicken wings. I couldn’t decide between two sauces for the wings, so Dan, our waiter, said I could get both sauces on the side so I could try them both! The soup was creamy, the clams were plentiful, and it had such a wonderful flavor. The wings were crispy and delicious. The service was top notch as well. Dan was so nice and attentive and very professional—just a wonderful young man that we were honored to meet. We may have to go to dinner here again tomorrow night so we can try something else from their fabulous menu!

What a pleasant surprise. Had dinner on Saturday night. We ate at the bar and had an amazing male bartender ( I wish we remembered his name). His suggestions were spot on. Great baked seafood and the stuffed mushrooms are amazing. Hoping to return to Hampton Beach and if we do we will be returning to the Breakers.

After a long walk from the other end of the Boulevard, we stopped in the Breakers for lunch. It was lovely sitting on the deck with the ocean view. The server was friendly , attentive and accommodating. However, the food was disappointing overall. I had a turkey sandwich which actually was quite good, seemed carved form a turkey, not sliced deli meat. However, my friend's Reuben was just ok. And the clam chowder was inedible, we had to send it back. It was warm not hot and maybe that is why the consistency was lumpy. It had a weird after taste. The server promptly said he would remove it from our bill. I would chose another place for lunch in the future.

We ordered appetizers and a bottle of wine and the food was decent. The service at the bar was mediocre but our food server Dan was excellent. He was very engaging in conversation with a great sense of humor and made our experience fun and relaxing! Anyone who was lucky enough to have Dan as their server should have a great dining experience at the Breakers

Above all else, Dan was a great server. Very attentive, polite, kind, and on top of things. The food was quite good and affordable compared to other meals nearby. Portions were large and food was fresh. There was a guitar duo playing covers who were very good and friendly. Not crowded, but not empty. No wait, and they took care of us.

Food was great and service was fast. Only reason I dod not give it 5 starts is the plate was a bit small. Only got about 6 home fries. I guess this is to be expected with inflation and soaring prices due to the current administration 😕

This trip was our third to the restaurant and every time has been amazing, the steak tips are really good, the artichoke chip dip is great, but Zak makes the experience that much better. While we were eating the couples behind us were from Canada and they were doting on Zak, that just tells you what a great asset he is to Breakers.

The food was delicious! Incredible portions. Staff was really nice and caring. Did not take long to get food after ordering (albeit it wasn't very busy when we went). Worth a meal visit!

My meal was good but my husbands meal was ok. We were told that we did not need reservations and got to the restaurant 10 minutes later to be told there was a 20 minute wait. This ended up being a 1 1/2 hour wait at the bar. Drinks were excellent tho.

It bad the clam chowder was good my wife loved the french onion soup burger was average wife said open face turkey same ok. But the Irish named drinks like the frozen leprechaun was awsome as well as the the others we had overall service good so it's worth a shot for food n drink

You can always expect a great meal. Service is great and you can't beat the location right at the beach.. Good social distancing of tables for safety... Give them a try if on the area...

Great food and staff amazing atmosphere

It's actually great my only issue is you never know when they are open. I went for lunch on Wednesday a few weeks ago and went this week on Wednesday they were closed. Over the years you never know if the coffee shop is open or closed in the winter...same with hotel...need consistency!

This place has great seafood and the best drinks.

I go here almost every day of the week, it's kept clean, the food is great, and most of all the people are always happy, I feel so welcomed there.

e day with dinner at breakers. very great food and nice staff. i’m not giving it four stars since people who came in after us got their food before us. now let’s get onto the food. for an appetizer, i got a house salad which was good but they could’ve added more olives and tomatoes. for a meal i got calamari with onion rings. breakers has the freshest onion rings i’ve ever seen and they were great! even with covid-19, they were dining in the restaurant but not a lot of people were inside so it was ok and the tables were socially distanced.
