Best food around, healthy, generous portions and friendly people. I love the salmon burger, teriyaki chicken and fish tacos are also delicious. Don't miss the red skinned mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and banana pudding. Use these guys for catering too, there are some menu options that are not in store that are so good. New building gives them the 5th star for atmosphere.

They're teriyaki chicken is delicious. If you want decently healthy food, Brown Bag is a good option.

Chicken sandwich was dry. The teriyaki chicken flavor tasted more citrus than ginger. Asparagus was great!

Used their catering for an office function, and everything was perfect! Client enjoyed the food, all items were correct and delicious, and they didn't forget utensils, plates, etc. Thanks for making my meeting go smoothly! Ordering was very simple online, something that makes my job easy.

There's a reason this place is so popular. Only available a few hours on the weekdays. Hands down the best coleslaw. Good sandwiches. My wife wants to go every day for lunch.

One of the best places to eat in the hardin valley area. I had a steak sandwich which was perfectly made. Staff is friendly restaurants clean. There open very short hours for lunch only. Going back to tomorrow. Will be my go to place awesome fresh food at a amazing price. Not looking to rob you like most of the chain eataries....

I used to love this place but after waiting 40 minutes for food and watching all the TO GO orders being prioritized I asked for a refund and left. I was told twice it would be 5 minutes and waited and waited watching other people come in order pay and leave with their TO GO orders won't be back.

Brown Bag is delicious and a fun atmosphere! They are a wonderful business and offer fantastic catering options as well.

Fitting name for School Cafeteria style food. Bland and sloppy trays of food servings , with not much spice , presentation or excitement. We receive two orders of undercooked chicken (salmonela alert) , tacos underwhelming as expected with cold tortillas and no spice kick. I can’t blame staff; it looks like high schoolers running this place (kudos to them) lacking much of basic quality control. Ambient crowded and hard to hear with radio music. Prices unreasonably as they provide super cheep sides of potatoes and lettuce, while main dish lacks any impact on the eye and stomach. Eat like a grown adult , not like a kid.

I hadn't been to Brown bag in about a year so I was excited to go again. I ordered the tacos with salad and chips for takeout. The tacos were sitting in a clear container on top of my chips and salad which transferred the fish juices onto my other food. That ruined my salad. Then the chips that they dumped in under the tacos and next to salad were stale. What a disappointment and waste of my money.

The food was really but the cleanliness was not, we had to ask for someone to come and clean our table so we could sit and eat, everyone who came in to eat after me sat at a dirty table, the whole time we sat and ate nobody came out to clean tables and there were 3 employees standing around just talking.

Been here 3 times now, fish tacos are my new favorite

Not enough good things to say about Brown Bag! Honestly I can't understand some of the non-5 star reviews that say the food is just "ok." Brown Bag's food is excellent tasting and pretty healthy. I've also had the catering several times and it's great too. They're also a cool company to support. They give away free meals to families who need them through Brown Bag Blessing, and they have a really generous military discount in restaurant. Great place!

Great FRESH food, good prices, & menu - not a long menu but healthy choices avail. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is how long it takes to get your order at this self-service place. Ordered 2 sandwiches at 1130am & got them 25 minutes later. Having said that, it's worth the wait because it's so delicious.

Ordered takeout online. Had to wait over half hour once I got to restaurant, because they were so busy. Noticed several others waiting as well. I'd say it was so busy because the food is good quality and it's relatively new. Just need to work on service.

Hardin Valley is popular they need more tables/seats.

Wish they had better vegetarian options, especially given the market they are targeting. I don’t always want mushy sides for lunch, and offering something like a grilled portobello sandwich isn’t complicated.

First time checking out this place. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, red mashed potatoes and jalapeno corn casserole. The chicken was tender and smothered in the teriyaki sauce for a pleasant experience. The mashed potatoes were satisfactory and the corn casserole was okay with good flavor and a bit of heat on the back end. Overall a good job and I would return to try more.

I wish your to-go boxes were made of paper or foil instead. The plastic ones make the hot food taste like plastic.

Great place! Aways good. It is normally busy because it is so good but the service is fast and friendly!

Outstanding value and quality. Had the steak sandwich and after one bite, I knew that I probably wouldn't eat a steak sandwich from any where else.

Food is always great, challenge is they get slammed at lunch and it takes longer than estimated to get pick-up orders. Parking is tight too.

The guys were super friendly, and the food was on point. The steak sandwich was amazing. A real piece of steak sliced on a delicious roll with horseradish. Thinking about that sandwich now makes up my mind for lunch today! A steak sandwich from Brown Bag.

Kind of expensive for what it is but the food is good

We had a catered lunch for 15, very easy to order, had a few issues online and someone promptly got back with me to help, and the delivery boy could not have been nicer. In addition to the holiday meal for 15, we ordered a pan of jalapeno corn casserole and a pan of mac n cheese ..the rolls were not good and cold, there was not enough meat for 15 people, the mashed potatoes were the best part and that was not enough for 15 people either..the meal for 15 is suitable for a group of 10. So glad I ordered 2 extra pans of sides or we wouldn't have had enough for everyone. Salad was good! Very disappointed in the amount of mashed potatoes, roast chicken, and ham. Definitely was not enough for a group of 15

Amazing food! While there isn’t tons of options, there isn’t a dish I haven’t loved. Fairly priced, healthy, and there’s tons of natural lighting. Only downside is the hours are meh, but regardless I highly recommend for anyone looking to find a healthy well priced lunch

Great food for a relatively quick and healthier option for lunch and dinner. We visited for lunch and this was out second visit. Small group of 5. Wait wasn't too long and they have outdoor seating. Will return.

My family has catered Brown Bag for years, but I feel the new location is lacking convenience for this/large pick-up orders in general. I recently had a $300 catered order but when I arrived to pick it up, there was no parking. I had to park on the road, as many others had, and instead of bringing the catered orders out to you now, you have to go in and pick it up. This was new, compared to the previous location. I asked about someone helping me carry it out, but I guess that's no longer a thing here. Needless to say, it took me four trips of carrying the order by myself and with no parking - it was a hike every time. I don't mind at all carrying food to my car, but when there is no parking and it's that large of an order, it just wasn't convenient. The food was great and all of my experiences prior have been good, but we'll likely look for other catering options moving forward as this overall was not convenient and lost some "service" stars for my family.

For almost $12 not worth it!! Got the chicken teriyaki with chips supposed to get a brownie nope!! And took forever!!! People that came after me got their food before me!!! And not that busy! They did come back and made this right for me!! Thank you Brown Bag!

Love this place! My only complaint is that there isn't further explanation of what the open hours are from 2-5. I walked in at 2:30 for lunch yesterday thinking they were open until 5 to find out it was only for bulk orders. This could be more clearly explained.

The food was delicious. The menu is somewhat limited and like most places, expensive. The service was great. Very friendly and helpful. I have allergies and they knew exactly what each dish contained so I could make an informed choice.

I called in my order to pick up at 5.. when I called it in I said I didn't want to to be sitting there waiting and drying out. They said don't worry it won't be... I got there early 430 figured I would wait for it... they pulled it out of a warmer I'm guessing because it was already done.. 65.00 of overcooked steak.. dry and tough.. really disappointing when I ordered it before and picked it up before 12 it was perfect....

The very best Buffalo Chicken Tacos on the planet. Pairs very well with their jalapeno corn cassarole and caesar salad. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.

We ordered salads for a lunch at our school. Everything was fresh and ready on time. They even helped to get them to my car. Love knowing my large order will be ready on time and always fresh tasting.

Imagine you’re driving down the road, you want lunch. You see a place called brown bag, you decide to eat lunch at this place that literally and specifically caters to people who want to eat lunch, you walk in, you say “hello I’d like to order lunch” the cashier then tells you that since it’s after 2pm you cannot order lunch, instead you must order 25 lunches. they have no lunches for sale. Unless you buy 25 lunches. Make sense? They will sell you lunch, unless it’s past an arbitrary time in which you cannot buy lunch, you must buy 25 lunches at the place that literally and specifically caters to people eating lunch.. Brilliant marketing strategy.

Finally healthy food for a change! A great alternative to general fast food that makes you feel sick after eating it. Nice people as well. You can sit outside and they have nice sun shades.

Kale Caesar salad had no kale.. It did however have brown, wilted romaine though.

We have a running joke in our office that this is “crack chicken” because we are all so addicted to the chicken from here. We’ve ordered everything from catering to the dining in and just. My go to is the grilled chicken with their spinach salad. Nothing beats dipping the chicken in their delicious poppyseed dressing. It’s also always so fresh and consistent. I know a brown bag lunch day is going to be a good day. Can’t find enough good things about this place!!

Prices have inflated and you get less food. I used to like it here, but I might as well go to Double Dogs next door and pay the same price.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have not been in a few years and was hoping it was still as good as I remembered. I was not disappointed. Salmon burger, spinach salad and jalapeño corn casserole were stupendous. Casual lunch spot. Eat inside or outside. I will be thinking about how good it was all the way back to Cincinnati.
