Good food, good beer, laid back atmosphere. The Triple the Ripple is fantastic...if they’re not out of it!

I’d been in a few times and their food is average. Their french fries are good, but everything else is kind of just sloppily made. It’s almost as if they just assembled store bought stuff onto a plate for you, but that’s not the main reason I’m writing this review. I know small businesses have been struggling due to the stay at home orders, but that’s still no reason to up-charge customers without notice. We decided to order out last week and and our total ended up being charged almost $10 more than we were expecting. The woman told my husband that their prices had changed. If that were the case, the menu posted outside their door should‘be also be updated to reflect the price difference.

Love Brugge!! Had a charcuterie board to start that was perfect! Then tried the Provençal mussels. They came out hot and very flavorful, we ate them all! The frites were delicious- we picked the garlic aioli and sweet chili sauce to go with. Perfect dinner date.

So today was me and my husbands first time there ! The waiter was very nice . We ordered the chicken and waffles and got some fries. After the food cake out it looked great so we tried it and the chicken tasted horrible almost like it was rotten and wasn’t seasoned at all the waffles were pretty crunchy and not pleasant either. I tried to taste it again to try and like it but it was honestly so nasty that I me or my husband couldn’t eat it. I had to tell the waiter that we would like to try something else. As soon as I said that her face changed not in a caring way but almost as if It was my fault that it wasn’t good. I was a little thrown off because I wasn’t rude at all when I said that and so the waiter says okay let me go ahead and talk to the kitchen. So she comes back out after that and tells me that “I can’t just give you something “ ... I’m really not sure what that meant... how can you not just give me something if the food tastes terrible and I’m willing to try something else despite how nasty the dish I had was to begin with. I kept all of the comments in to myself and let her finish talking so she then says I can’t give you something if there was nothing wrong with the food to begin with and she’s saying this with an attitude. So I flat out told her “honestly the chicken tasted spoiled” ( and I could have went on but I did not ).. so I said that we would look at the menu to see if we wanted something else ... anyways to sum it up we bought something just to buy it but the experience with her attitude was very unpleasant I will never go back. I shouldn’t have to be forced to eat something that tastes like DEATH nor should the waiter get an attitude with the customer when we were nothing but polite.

Brugge Brasserie...I had high hopes based on the reviews. Having not tried the place, I picked this for a lunch while family was in town. It was a nice day, one that wasn't too hot or humid...so we sat outside. Off to a good start. My mother and I ordered some drinks...the Bon Bon cider for her and a flight for me (guest tap, sour, and raspberry cider). All lacked flavor to me, they tasted like they were watered down. That was surprising considering they were served warm and flat (assume a cellar/cask type). My mom's glass had lipstick and mine had a floater...we pointed this out to the waitress who took care of the issue, but it really makes you question the cleanliness of the place. My "spidey sense" was tingling the rest of the meal. My mother and I split the red curry mussels and Vietnamese lemongrass steak crepe. The mussels...they lacked flavor...not a whole lot of curry to them. They also had a weird taste to them...that previously frozen or refrigerated taste...we got thru quarter of the pot and decided to stop (save the calories for something else). The frites that came with the mussels were fantastic! Crisp, not too greasy, and we'll seasoned. We had the hot curry and garlic aoili to go with them. The hot curry was a bit of a letdown...not a whole lot of flavor. But the garlic aoili was great! A roasted garlic flavor that was nice and creamy. I tried my dad's homemade ketchup and sweet chili...ketchup was a bit sweet and the sweet chili was too thin. The crepe was also subpar. There was spinach in the crepe...cooked spinach...that did not have the liquid removed. It made the whole crepe rather wet/moist. The steak was in large chunks...needs to be cut in thin strips for ease of eating. The same could be said for the peanuts on top...chop them, don't serve them while. The flavors were a disappointment but at least they were there...overall it was too sweet and at time you got big doses of fish sauce or vinegar. Service was rather slow...but it was polite. For what we paid...about $30 per person...that was an incredibly expensive lunch. Based on what I just wrote, I would have expected much more for $30 a person. I won't go back on my accord, but if I do, I'll stick to the frites and frites alone.

Oh my gosh, first of all our waiter Joe (sorry if spelling is off) was PHENOMENAL and you are so lucky if he waits on you, he was so well informed and friendly and fast and just all around the best. The food though, this was my first time having muscles and I cannot believe I haven't had them before. This is the only place I want to go back to for them. Joe made my boyfriend's birthday perfect and we thank him and the kitchen staff and the cidery above so much for giving us a truly amazing night.

We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately given a table. Our frites came out quickly and they were amazing. Probably one of the best in town. But the sauces were disappointing. The hot curry and the pesto were very diluted in flavor. The vegetarian crepe was delicious. The portion size is more than enough. Would definitely come here again for the frites and the crepes, but would choose different sauces.

I love this restaurant and have been coming here for years, so it truly pains me to say that my most recent experience here was awful. My husband and I called ahead for dinner last weekend for my birthday. When we arrived, the host said they didn't have our names in their book. I mentioned that a woman answered the phone and hoped that they would at least try to find a solution for us, but they did nothing and told us to wait 20 minutes. After nearly 40 minutes and painfully watching other call ahead customers get seated, we got a table. While my food was excellent, my husband's steak was inedibly raw, and so was his waffle. He had to send back his steak. Our server was very attentive and friendly, so we have no complaints about the table service, but we were so disappointed in everything else we are not sure if we will come back.

Oh my Lanta, I absolutely love this place!! Their house patte platter was to die for, served topped with a fig jam and a variety of fruit, bread, and brined items. The red curry mussels were the entree, my first experience with this particular style. Delicious. Sauce wasn't overbearing with spice just wonderful flavor. The entire bucket gone in a flash. The frittes were crispy and hot, their house made sauces always a treat. I would recommend the sorgum/dijon and roasted garlic aioli, but I havent tried one that I didn't enjoy. Last but not least, the Nutella crepe. Absolutely stunning, melt in the your mouth, perfectly cooked crepe. They presented this masterpiece garnished with a berry coulis and creme frisch that made a snowman, made my heart smile. 100% would recommend!!!!

I liked this place a lot. There are places to sit downstairs and upstairs. There is some outside seating as well. The food reminded me a lot of the food I’ve had in Belgium. I went with the steak frites and the steak was pretty tasty. It was nothing fancy but went well with the frites. They have a ton of different sauces. I went with the curry. The beer selection is all Belgian inspired. You can’t go wrong with any of them. If you aren’t a Belgian beer fan, try the Pooka as it is more of a saison. Great place.

What a lovely place to sit and enjoy a delicious meal with your best friends. If you don't have friends the employees that work here are really nice and you can pretend they are your friends. I suggest ordering the steak frites (frites are just fancy French fries), perhaps the endive salad, and of course you must order a Nutella crepe. In addition, the pooka beer, a sour boysenberry, is a good accompaniment to your meal. Enjoy your life here in broad ripple.

I've heard so much about this place that my expectations were super high. Unfortunately, they did not live up to my likely unrealistic expectations. The fries had good flavor thanks to the garlic cheese sprinkled on them and some very creative dipping sauces, but the texture of the underlying fries was tough, almost rubbery, and overcooked. The sandwiches were decent, but not phenomenal. I may go back again, just because I didn't get a chance to try their signature mussels. Maybe they will be the wow I was looking for.

I really enjoy the offerings here. Good charcuterie choices. Lots of great mussels options. And they have been doing sour beers since before it was popular. Pooka is my favorite. I also like the duck confit sandwich. They give you a big portion of fries with the sandwich. My only negative is the tiny cups of sauce with the fries. The sandwich already has a lot of bread, and the whole plate needs some moisture. All the sauces are made in house, which I appreciate. But for as many fries as you get, you need something more to dip them in. They also make lots of different savory crepes, which I haven't tried yet. My experience with the service has been good, although I usually sit at the bar. One of my top choices when I'm visiting broad ripple.

When we arrived, we we're told it would be quite a while for a Table. It was roughly 815p on a Sunday. The host seemed bothered that we were even there attempting to eat dinner. So we sat there for about 25 minutes, waiting patiently. Then a waitress came over to us, and said "Do you guys want to look at some menus? The kitchen closes in 15 minutes." This was extremely rude and insulting, like we were bothering them, and didn't want to waste their time. I believe this took a lot of gall to ask even request such a thing from a customer. I rarely post bad reviews as it takes a lot for a place to upset us. This topped the cake, I was blown away. I almost suspect from the get go that the host told us an exorbanant wait time to deter us even from waiting for a table in the first place. Just terrible.

The beef stew and mussles were both delicious. Beers were very tasty. Definitely a nice chill place for a relaxing dinner.

Had a good time here. Went during a down time so it was quiet and I enjoyed conversation with friends. First off, many of the beers were great. I got a flight, of course, to try a bunch. Definitely seems like a nice and friendly play to hang out. The only thing I removed a star for (would only remove half a star if I could) is that I got really excited to see they had a shuffleboard table! Right as we started playing, we noticed an issue with the table where discs were just sliding off to one side or another. We started to get the hang of it, but it wasn't as enjoyable and we noticed the table was very poorly repaired from a crack right down the center, so the surface was no longer flat. Not a huge deal, but if you're going to offer it as entertainment, get it working as it should.

Given all of the great reviews and comments, I really expected to like Brugge much more than I did. We only saw the street level dining room, but there is an upstairs area. They both a bar area and a family dining area, both have very limited seating. It felt very "pub-ish" with dark wood walls and an open ceiling. The tables were interesting. Brass wrapped table tops with several large holes intentionally placed in the tables. If you don't why the holes are there, I won't spoil it for you. As for the food, neither of us are into mussels - the featured menu item - so we passed on those. I should have gone with the Steak and Frites, but chose the "Red Dragon" instead. I believe they called this a "cromelette" - a crepe/omelette combination that looked more like a "eggrito" (an egg wrap around ingredients like a burrito). I didn't care for the egg/crepe wrap that much, and about halfway through just started pulling out the guts. The steak inside was very fatty/tough and the whole thing had just two flavors - bland and Sriracha, depending on what ended up on my fork. We ordered the large frites so that we could try more of the sauces. They were good, but as someone else said, didn't seem to be that special. My real complaint with them wasn't the taste, but the average length of a "frite". We ordered the large, but at least 50% of the cone was filled with "frites-pieces" less than 1" long. That was disappointing. For dessert we had a crepe with fresh strawberries and lemon curd, and that was very good. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Service was petty good when first arrived and the place was almost empty (just after they opened). By the time we left they were packed and we had trouble getting our server to bring the check. So, as we left we decided that it wouldn't be on our short list of places to re-visit, but we wouldn't refuse to meet a friend there or try it again in a few months.
