I’ve always loved this restaurant, since I was little

I didn’t know this restaurant was under new ownership. It used to be my favorite under the previous owners. I was there Friday evening and had a calamari appetizer, which was the worst I have ever had. I hope their Mexican food is prepared better than their calamari. I will not be back to find out.

Been going here for years getting the same items. Now I have to argue with a waitress who screws up my order twice. Expanding your menue doesn't mean better. Gonna find somewhere else to get food now

Previously Burrito King. I enjoyed the previous pay and eat style before. Like every other Taco king location.

Great food made fast, atmosphere was neutral, service sucked.. waiter hardly paid us any attention was more into chillen at the bar with people who were there drinking. Overall though it was great and I'd try it again.

I stopped by for just chips and salsa appetizers. Chips were stale and tough, Salsas both hot and mild Hot was great what I would expect, I tried it 5 times and added pepper and salt. Mild salsa was delicious nice texture a few vegetables were "treating" the salsa. The Coca-Cola was crisp and cooled with excellent an ice to soda pop ratio.

It’s now called Cinco de Mayo Bar and Grill… first time today and I had the red posole. Pretty spicey!

Food was good and atmosphere was nice for dine in with family

So far, I have only used the drive thru and haven't been disappointed yet.

I ordered a Bean Burrito w/onions. ALL I could taste or see was beans and a little cheese. If there was meat in there you could not taste. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AND IT WILL BE MY ONLY TO EAT THERE!!!

Even though I like So-Cal I'm not really a authentic Mexican food lover. I like Burrito King because are more American/Mex and they have very good spiced ground beef as well as tasty other options. They did a major update to their dining are, it's definitely a great improvement, looks nice and the food it still great!

Great little spot for food and horchata that's good for the soul.

Although you don't usually go to a taco place for chicken soup, try it! It's amazing! The chili Verde is also good, just wish the serving was a bit bigger. Love their nachos, too!

I went here for an early dinner with my family. Food was hot and fresh brought to our table. Taste lacked flavor but overall was enjoyable. I did appreciate the salsa bar where you could select you own sauces to add to your meal. Soda bar was lacking choices and variety. Overall 4 out of 5. I did appreciate all the indoor seating for dining.

Awesome little Mexican spot. The birria tacos were delicious. Also, they have a self-serve salsa bar that is so fresh and adds to the experience.

It's was bad..like 3rd world ...ground up moose or something..terrible cold ..I would have never gone but friends went there..

They were terrible..like ground horse or mule..I couldn't eat it ..how much spi8to cover the taste..and smells bad

Best Mexican food ever. Pizzolli soup is soooooo good. Burritos and the like are exquisite.

Had tacos with beans n rice. There was actually a full shell of meat. So dang good. Ate it all.

Went during a dead time, so it was just me and a buddy. The atmosphere was calm, and felt peaceful. The people here are very nice, and grateful! I got the Birria Combo and I can confidently say that this is one of the better Mexican Taco spots in the city! The taste was there and that is hard to find in Anchorage.

Great restaurant for late night Mexican food on the way home. Nice salsa bar inside to get all the sauce you want and convenient drive thru. Also one of the larger vestibules of any establishment in Anchorage, which for some weird reason I appreciate.

I’m from Texas, my parents from Monterrey, I have been all over Mexico and I can tell you one things this is a great Mexican place 🙂

Expensive and plates get smaller and smaller

The delivery driver rudely cut us off on the way there...THEN does a U-turn and gives us a nasty look as he went inside. Second, the drive-thru attendant kept rushing us over the com. Repeatedly. Third. They forgot my husband's peach nectar. Third, the first bite I took of my chicken burrito, had a 1" piece of bone in it, plus a 1/8" chunk. Fourth, tried my husband's burrito....the first bite on the opposite side that he took first of...my luck...a glob of fat. Side notes, the salsa was tasteless and the rice had more flavor than the salsa....if THAT makes ANY sense. NEVER AGAIN! AND THIS was our first experience here!

Well this business has gotten my last order today. I understand your busy but we are only 3 blocks down the st and it took 75 min to recieve lunch then you forget the side of avacado I paid extra for! After calling and you telling me you will send the driver back with the avacado... it's been another hour! Never again! I'm sorry I also added a tip for a total of $45

The food continues to be GREAT! Although I did notice that they've changed their dining area and no longer have the bright and festive colors and designs that they've always had. They swapped them out for a gray with a few colors motif, I will certainly miss the old look of their restaurant. Makes me kinda sad.

This is your standard fare americanized Mexican food but I honestly think it's pretty good. Generally pretty fast too.

Greasy Burrito. The cash discount is misleading as posted prices are cash and then a MAJOR surcharge to use credit. Without stating any price difference when charging card more. Illegal???? If you want good food goto Xalos. Bigger portions. Better flavor and less $$$ than you get at Burrito king, (more like Burrito joker.....)

Pretty darn good for drive through Mexican. I prefer the authentic Mexican cooking and food for the soul.

This place used to be great. I just went through the drive through and SHOULD HAVE CHECKED MY ORDER! If this is a king burrito it’s tiny- had a hair sticking out the top too

Solid tacos at a great price (for Anchorage). As good as any Mexican you'd get in town at a far better price, as long as you're not looking for restaurant trappings. Occasionally a bit dry, but most of the time it's perfect. Tacos are hearty and often two is enough for a solid meal.

Horrible. Missing a meal and a big salsa. Everything is sloppy. Random meat chunks in rice and beans (ground beef and some sort of shredded meat.) Cheese enchiladas were gross. Spicy salsa is weirdly sour/sweet and gross. I don’t take pleasure in leaving a bad review. Hard earned money exchanged for poor quality and missing quantity. Super lame and disappointing.

I like the ' Al Pastor tacos' special. The way the meat is marinade tastes good 😋🤤 . I also like 'Chile Verde' with flour tortillas yummy 🥰

Actually very decent Mexican food in Alaska! I was surprised. The people running this restaurant are SUPER nice and helpful. There's a lot of options on the menu. It's slightly pricey for the quality, but still a good low-key option. They also have a salsa bar 👌🏻

Stopped by as it was recommended that they occasionally offer alpastor. It was pretty darn good. Not the best but this IS Alaska! Would of preferred less burnt pieces as I would say mine was 90% burnt (black) but still tasty

I have been going there for at least 20 years this place has gone downhill very bad I will never be back I will be back..

was looking forward to eating my food. But unfortunately they have containers that don't really hold in the food when taking the food out of the bag and having all the food on the floor. Recommend dinning in because once you pull the food out of the bag it will fall out.

During covid I like meeting here for lunch because there is ample room between tables and most people are doing takeout so it's never very busy.

Kinda hit an miss. First time we went the presentation was excellent but the flavor just wasn't there. Went again recently and it was fire. That hot sauce is on point always.

The food is always good and hot. Make sure you double check what you get because sometimes they move too fast. Probably wont have salsa verde at night.

We absolutely love this little fast food restaurant! I grew up in Imperial Beach, Ca., right next to the border crossing into Tijuana, Baja, Mexico. Needless to say, I am picky about "real" Mexican food. Burrito King is great! Their carne asada combo is stellar! I was thrilled to see they make "sopas" too. This was our lunch meals all through elementary school! I highly recommend all their menu items, whether you drive through, eat in or have it delivered. Well worth trying!

I Love the authentic made to order food! Im pretty sure their small flour tortillas are made fresh. The food always comes out hot and the tables and booths are always clean. The customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend this place especially if you are on your lunch break!

I recommend the Carne Asada Gorditas. The price is just right and 1 already fills me up. It is time for a nap :)... You can get free sauces too and they also have a drive thru for the ones that don't want to get inside. Great authentic Mexican food.
