In a word… Amazing!!! From view..to food and exceptional service This is a top tier dining experience 🔥🔥🔥

We stopped here after a SeaWind aviation tour/recommendation and glad we came. Not too busy for a 2pm and quickly seated and received drinks. Food was pricier but this is Alaska so take that into consideration. Super cute atmosphere and would be a perfect date night location. Owner came over and introduced self and seems like this place will be a success. We had 3 kids with us and not much of a menu for them but we made it work.

Excellent service and atmosphere. Just not impressed with the food either time I have been there, especially considering how pricey it is.

I've had a couple of meals here and neither was worth the price. Service is solid, and it almost makes up for the food. Today I had a crab roll and it was basically a plate of fries with a couple of tablespoons of crab salad in a toasted hot dog bun. Which would have been okay if it cost 12 dollars, but this cost 35.

Beautiful views and the food was delicious!!! A short walk from downtown/cruise terminal! Our bartender Jess, was so kind and helpful. Many gluten free options because they use corn flour for almost everything, the only thing that could make it better would be for them to make all fried food gf so that it would be a dedicated frier.

Phenomenal view and outstanding food! We had the pecan crusted halibut, and the meatloaf, and both were fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.

Elk was a bit under done, but everything else was perfect! This is a must-do if you're here for a day-trip.

Hands down the best ribeye I have had in years, despite eating steak on the regular. Our server Sam was friendly, understanding and eager to make our night great. Recommend this place to anyone visiting Ketchikan or otherwise.

Located right on the water so great views and you get entertained by watching the float planes take off and land! The chowder is fantastic.

Local restaurant with amazing service, unique cuisine, definitely not regular "bar food" upscale good eats. I had a quesadilla with chicken, an appetizer on the menu but too large for my appetite. I could have easily shared. My MIL got clam chowder and her eyes glowed at the first bite. I was grateful our YellowCab driver, Tad, brought us here. A very good choice.

Awesome food with great atmosphere. Watch the float planes take off and land from their dock next door! The menu is smaller but the food is fantastic. Good variety of beer with local options. This is a smaller place away from the cruise ship area, so a good option to get away from the crowds.

Everything was exceptional. The experience was completely worth it. My steak was incredible, the chili was hearty, greens were fresh. The chocolate cake was soooo good, the frosting was perfect. I can't rave enough. Thanks!

This restaurant is right on the water with an absolutely beautiful view. The ambiance is wonderful and the food is excellent. The menu and the restaurant are small but the feeling you get and the tastes are huge. They have a great selection of wines and beers. It is pricey but well worth it. It is recommended to make a reservation. The serve a variety of different steaks, fish, salads and they have wonderful desserts.

Driving through? Vacationing? Quick stop off your ship? BPL is a must stop. Local beer selection is great and food is top notch. The Halibut Ceviche and Dungeness Crab Roll are the best you'll come across. Popping in for a quick drink? The views certainly compliment the experience - seaplanes, local fishing boats, yachts, and ships... Birds, eagles, and even a few surprises in the water!

Very small menu. Wish we'd looked it up ahead of time. We were the 1st ones there so we were seated right away and service was good. My son's loved the local root beer. Quesadillas were pretty good. I don't remember what the complimentary appetizer was, some kind of rice ball, but it was just okay. The view was awesome. Pretty overpriced.

Pretentious mediocrity Trying to deliver high quality without following the basic steps for high quality. Having fancy displays doesn't make your food any less mediocre Service is great, place is beautiful. It's the food that needs work

Entire restaurant faces the bay. Wonderful ambience. The smoked clam chowder is amazing! A bit pricey, but well worth it.

I can't speak for the food as I only stopped for a lovely beer and great veiw. Though the menu looked nice. The second visit, i came between lunch and supper, so bar menu. Chicken wings and chili. Very nice. Not as spicy as I like my chicken wings but good. I would have rather had a bun with the chili than the oyster crackers, but nice chili.

If you find yourself in Ketchikan, highly recommend you stop in the Bush Pilots' Lounge for a drink and a bite to eat. A local eatery with a great atmosphere, where you can rest your tired feet after exploring the town on your cruise stop, watch the sea planes come and go while enjoining a pint of the local craft beer. The staff is excellent and the food was delicious. The Dungeness Crab roll was superb and the fries were perfectly seasoned, crisp and hot. A big shout out to Trystyn for taking my frantic phone call and finding my jacket and sunglasses and Jess the FoH manager for shipping them back to my home when I realized that I had left them behind in the booth as our ship was pulling out of the dock. Next time I am in Ketchikan, I will definitely be coming here again.

Can’t beat the view and the atmosphere. Service also tops. Halibut ceviche was amazing! I could have eaten 3 servings myself! So good! The crab roll was very tiny for the price - be aware.

The service is top notch!! So is the food. Had a Christmas party and Birthday here. It was great. I highly recommend!

oh momma this was the tastiest i've had in like at least a week (i've been eatin a lot of good places lately) and wowee it was tasty tasty our server was really really cute and had the nicest mustache on the island (not much competition here but still) i got steak (i've eaten enough gd fish here, fight me) and boy howdy WOW it hit hard idek what else to say lmao it's tasty and if you're visiting you've probably got too much money in your pockets anyway so what is there to lose (and even if not, my steak was under $50) go eat there it's good

Atmosphere and service excellent. Music a bit loud for my taste, but conversation was still possible, and music helped drown out the conversations of others nearby, as this is a busy place. Attention to detail amazing- in restaurant design, decor, custom plates made with a Ketchikan imprint in the bottom... They were a down a server the night we came, and still the service was top-notch. Highly recommend. We needed a restaurant like this in Ketchikan. Stands well above the rest. Brie-eautiful (appetizer) Be sure to eat the fruit and cheese together. It pairs perfectly when eaten together. Perfect soft, warm, crunchy, salty, cool, sweet combination when eaten together. Outstanding. Recommend. Steak Frites served with a braised chard and sauce of your choice that is meant to be eaten WITH (in the same bite as) the sliced steak meat. Eaten together, it is excellent. As separate parts, the parts aren't amazing; but eaten together, the parts complement each other well to make a stand-out dish. Different textures and complimenting unique flavors... very yummy. I recommend the Alaskan chimichurri (tastes of Alaska for sure with spruce tips as the main ingredient) over the whisky-peppercorn sauce (a bit too beef boullion tasting for my liking). Delicious meal. Recommend. Huntsman Meatloaf. Hearty. You can tell the meat used is good quality. The meatloaf is not greasy. Soft inside, delicious grilled exterior. Sauce served on it. Perfectly cooked skinny greenbeans and delicious mashed potatoes. Yummy, perhaps a bit less moist of a meatloaf than what you might be used to, though excellent in its own right. Flavorful. Recommend.

Best restaurant in Ketchikan by a healthy margin. The umami coffee-rubbed elk was spectacular and perfectly cooked. Get it rare. No liquors, but a wide selection of wine and beer, and the bartop is a beauty. Great atmosphere, too. You can see, hear, and taste the thought that goes into everything this place does. A can’t-miss.

After eating at nearly all restaurants in “Ketch”, BPL turned out to be my favorite so far. Amazing atmosphere, food, view, staff. It’s truly a winner in all categories.

Drink & food selection was impressive for the location & would be even in a larger city with an easier ability to source product. Atmosphere was unique & professional. The service was fantastic & attentive. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Ketchikan & are looking for a great dinner.

Fantastic cauliflower drummies, smoked black cod chowder, and Brie-eautiful(Brie with blueberry preserves in puff pastry). We ate off the lounge night menu and it was affordable too! Outstanding food and live music❤️

Our favorite spot, hands down. The vibes in this place are perfect. A newer establishment, it seems this gem is not quite on the radar yet: AKA you get awesome service and atmosphere mostly to yourself! Our service was incredibly friendly and fast. Try the homemade potato chips! Awesome water views and a huge local menu, I highly recommend a stop here.

My mom, boyfriend, and I had a superb experience here. It is expensive by ketchikan standards but the magnificent views made it worth it. This is our third time coming back and we will continue to do so. Recommend coming at sunset for optimal lighting and sunset viewing. Xoxox Eileen

Awesome find with food and service on par with the best in any big city - even on a Monday night. Enjoyed the pork belly bites and chowder very much, and the Huntsman’s Chili was the best chili we’ve ever had. And we’re from Texas! It had bison, elk, wagyu, and reindeer sausage. Perfectly seasoned. Still thinking about it! Cute decor with cool floatplanes docked just outside.

The staff at BPL were terrific! I had the steak frite and I think it's the best steak of any sort I've had in several years. Nice selection of beers .

I had meatloaf. It was delicious. My group was amazed at the food. We all tried the duck and short ribs as well. ALL OUTSTANDING. Jeremy the owner as well as the chef, came and talked to us. Very happy with our dinner here.

Came here with a group of 24 travel hungry adult males and they knocked it out of the park. The food was so good that by the end of the meal, most were literally saying "Please, no more food." The ribs and halibut quesadillas were the big hit among the apps. The steaks were out of this world for the mains. Deserts were quite literally a triple dead heat. Views were phenomenal, staff kept the food coming and the wine flowing. You never had to ask for anything, it just appeared of disappeared depending. Quite literally one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had with a large group.

Outstanding restaurant and the best of surprises… very warm and welcoming. The team here was awesome. We were greeted by the owner upon entry. Incredible vibe, killer menu. Carly was a really great server, total pro. This is the spot, when they get the liquor license it’s going to be over the top. Get here soon, I bet this place gets real popular at some point in the not too distant future…

My ribs were awesome. Didn't care for the Southern sides. Not good sides for Ketchikan. My husband's salmon was mushy not flaky and he didn't care for the same sides. Great service and atmosphere. We'll try it again but maybe ask for different sides.

Amazing place with an amazing setting! A very nice place to enjoy a glass of wine or some great food. We went right around 3:30 and sat at the bar with a glass of wine and a beautiful view. I cannot wait to go back!

Wow - so delicious! We were a big group visiting from Indiana and wanted to experience a nice meal here in Ketchikan. We did not go wrong with Bush Pilots Lounge! We were all blown away and everything was beyond delicious - please go here if you have a chance, you won’t regret it!!

Excellent food and great atmosphere

Such a wonderful new place for Ketchikan. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the fine details the owners put into their restaurant from the leather menus to the plates! Can we talk about the meatloaf....OMG! it's my favorite. I crave it all the time. I am not one at all for leftovers...but this dish goes home with me and is a delicious breakfast the next day and just as amazing! Kuddos Chef on this meatloaf masterpiece! The staff is amazing and friendly, very attentive to all guests and ensure tables are taken care of. It is such a great new addition to Ketchikan and one of our favorite date night dinners!!!
