The staff are friendly,greet you at the door the food wea amazing

From the wait staff, table bussers, the owners, service and food, Cafe 339 made being "hungry" this morning, a really, really good, tasty and flavorful experience to have. This was my 1st time there and I felt like I was a local and long time customer.i will be back! And with friends! Thanks Cafe 339!

I went here as a kid, when it was Abbotts restaurant. Much more chic now, but they preserved the original 'silver wall' behind the counter. Btw--food was delicious and the staff was superb.

This is our favorite breakfast place in the region. You feel like family. The food is always excellent, portions are plentiful, coffee is excellent. Dimitri is a fantastic owner.

Always have good food & great service

1st time her with my granddaughter. The eggs were hot, and the potatoes were delicious, especially the gravy.. The chocolate chip pancakes were soft and fluffy.. Thank you for breakfast...

I use to go to Cafe 339 on a regular basis but the last 3 times I went everything was terrible. Today I paid $12 for 2 eggs, a piece of hand the size of my 11yr olds palm, no potatoes or anything else with it.. eggs were so slimy I couldn’t eat them, the ham looked like I got the trimmers & was hard, toast was good at least (as I roll my eyes) I got my order to go so I can go watch a baseball game & received no napkins or plastic utensils, Guess it didn’t matter since it went to waste! No next time for me, I’ll cook at home. Wish I could share a picture of my order!

I come here to eat almost everyday. Food is good, place is nice, and everyone is super friendly. If you’re passing through in the morning, definitely stop at Cafe 339 in Hobart.

Everything Good, especially food

I love Cafe 339, if you like biscuits and gravy you need to go here. They make the gravy fresh daily from a family recipe and the biscuits are good by themselves but even better with gravy! Truth be told all of their food is excellent be it breakfast or lunch, if you leave there still hungry it's your fault.

Delicious! Eggs Benedict done just right. Perfect bacon and links, fluffy scrambled eggs, big fruit plate nice and fresh. Very good hot chocolate with whipped cream, we didn't try the coffee. Staff and owner were very friendly, efficient, and competent. Thank you Cafe 339!

Cafe 339 never disappoints. The food is good, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

We ended up here by recommendation, and so glad we went. A slight change of pace from your basic breakfast you get everywhere else, and everything was so good. Service was fairly quick given how busy it was, and friendly so also a change of pace!

We came from out of town, our friends in the area recommended breakfast here. The service was excellent. The Bloody Mary’s were delicious. The food was dynamite, and came out so fast! Fluffiest omelets, cakey pancakes. We can’t say enough about your establishment! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are rolling through Hobart for breakfast or lunch!

The food was excellent. My daughter ate every bite! I would have but I was too full. When the meal came, the plates looked as advertised . I can’t say enough how much my daughter enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be back!

I've been a couple times now. First time I went everything was amazing. When we went yesterday service, and coffee was amazing, but food was not tasty or fresh. I was very surprised, I will go back but will not order the patty melt or chicken salad on croissant. I don't recommend, unless it was just a fluke that our meal was not good.

Great restaurant in downtown Hobart. I had the breakfast croissant, huge sandwich was very good. My wife loved her bagel sandwich also. The coffee was very good, but the mimosa's stold the show. I had the mango and she had the pomegranate, both were worth the trip alone, highly recommend. The coffee was also very good. Possibly the best part about this restaurant was the staff, all were very attentive and friendly. They also serve lunch, but I haven't tried them yet. Although this was our first time coming to this place, they made us feel like regulars. Best breakfast restaurant around, highly recommend. Very good x-mas lunch. After repeat visits, still best breakfast around. The kona coffee is very good, with free re-fills.

Took my mom this time. Breakfast was immaculate! Pancakes were fluffy and my mom loved her Countryside Benedict. Waitress let mom make a substitution.

My go to when i want a semi-quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff and owners. food is always made super fresh and to order and taste amazing. New breakfast and lunch specials everyday. Also have different soups everyday. Great place to grab a bite to eat alone with friends or with the family. I always order the 2 egg whites, hash browns, country ham, with very fresh tomatoes. Highly recommend the try if you haven't been here yet.

Drove over 2 hours to join others for a Birthday celebration and was not disappointed. All food was served hot and taste was spot on. Service was above and beyond. Highly recommend. Picture is bananas added to my pecan Belgian waffle.

We had the stuffed pepper and mashed potatoes with garlic toast,and lemon rice soup special, EXCELLENT. REAL MASHED POTATOES, not instant. A lunch like mom would make. I can't wait to go back.

My family has been coming here for years now. It's a great place. The owner, Dimitri is excellent at hosting. This place is a LOT like the mom and pop restaurants you see in Chicago, the kind my mom and dad would take me to. To that end, for me at least...it's a little slice of youth and home. If you're looking to try out Cafe 339, ignore the low star reviews; because in a world of corporate franchise dining littered with TGI Fridays, or IHOP...if you can't handle the ins and outs of a privately owned cafe, and love to complain about the smallest of things and minutiae then this place is not for you. As to the experience: The food is great. You might get something off, but the staff and owner are good at handing problems. The owner walks the dining floor all the time, and is quite attentive. The coffee here is amazing. I literally come for the coffee, and the food is almost an afterthought sometimes. Dimitri used to be a coffee salesman, and it shows. He does not skimp on the coffee. The waitstaff is pretty sociable for the most part. Sometimes you get a non attentive waitress. Guess what, they have lives too. Everyone has an off day, and going full Karen on service staff is never cool. Mid mornings here they can get slammed, so keep that in mind. They get slammed, because they're in demand. If you do have an issue, remember that kindness costs nothing, and being polite is also free. Talk *to* them, not *at* them. You'll find you get farther. Cafe 339. It's a great place to get breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Never been there for lunch, so I cannot comment on that. But I do love sitting there, drinking coffee and having breakfast while watching downtown Hobart.

Homie little restaurant with good food and excellent friendly staff

No Vegan Options (not sure why this site & yelp say that) We talked with all servers on staff, they were super friendly except ours, seemed new and out of her element. Never asked how our meal was. Took over 15min to refill my coffee. A different server was asking if I wanted honey & cinnamon, talking to us, making us feel welcome. Menu needs updated pricing, when brought to attention at check out nothing was changed, was just given a speech on the rising cost of eggs. We didn’t even order eggs. Felt like the owner/manager was just gaslighting me asking if there is a problem, but doing nothing about it. I would have never ordered $9 porridge, it was so bland, and no recognizable oats. Tasted as if there was chopped walnuts in the pecans. Just an old school diner, no frills. Not sure why all these rave reviews, maybe when you order a boozy drink the food gets better.

Food was great as always however service was terrible . I am a server myself and would never treat my tables as my boyfriend and I were treated the other day . Our server carol was rude and non attentive but was all happy and cheery to her other tables. Will make sure she never serves us again

First time eating here. Waitress lost ticket, kitchen didn't cook food for an hour. Owner made good, did not charge for half of breakfast. That was a good thing because the order of crepes was absolutely terrible. Tasted like nasty old doe, was not cooked, was just nasty. I had an omelet, it was very good. The place seemed poorly managed, waitress was not very good, cook staff sure can't cook crepes.

I love coming here for breakfast. It can get busy at times and the staff can get a little busy but it's worth the wait every time. Delicious food!

The following review is based primarily upon customer service. First things first, I called to place a takeout order. The phone was ringing for quite some time before it was answered. When I got on the phone, the person placed me on a long hold and I was able to hear everything going on in the restaurant during that time. Finally when the hold was over, the person taking my order was splitting their attention between me and other people and thus was barely able to keep up with what I asked for. When I placed my order, I was told it would be 20 minutes until it was ready. 20 minutes later, exactly, I arrived. When I walked in, I was not greeted. Multiple staff people walked around doing a number of things bedsides greeting me. After standing there for 5 minutes, totally ignored, I flagged down a staff person and asked them to send a host/hostess to check on me. They asked what I needed, I said I had to pick up a to go order, and they walked away, came back and said my order was being wrapped up “right now”. I said okay and he walked away. The same employee, likely noticing I was visibly perturbed, came back and asked for the name on my order and I provided it. Now, considering he hadn’t previously asked my name I must wonder how he reported that my order was being wrapped up “right now” minutes before. I continued to wait for a while but ultimately I left without my order and was made late to an appointment because of the ordeal. As I was leaving, I heard a staff member joking about my departure, saying that he tends to have that affect on women. The flippant disregard for the loss of business does not make their case any better. I won’t be making any further attempts to patronize this business in the future.

Since finding out about this place a few years ago they have always delivered great breakfast. I'm very picky about my pancakes and have tried 8-9 restaurants in the region and this place has some of the best. It is my wife and I'm favorite place to go.

Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere, decent coffee and food was good. Only 2 things I didn't care for: sausage links instead of patty on a breakfast sandwich (not a big deal but I would have changed my order had I known ahead of time) 2nd thing sliced potatoes not diced for the house potatoes (again just my personal preference). Food was seasoned properly and cooked well otherwise

Came in early to be seated , only 2 of us . And we saw at least 3 families be seated. This place isn't friendly to l customers. The host pick and chooses who he wants to seat first no matter if your name has been taken down before others.

Such a great atmosphere! Small cafe, so you might have to wait a bit. Staff are all happy even though it was insanely busy. Food was good, had eggs Benedict and chocolate cake. Prices are great. Owner would make Gordon Ramsey proud!
