Great experience Amazing European Cuisine service is Great

One of the best restaurants in Houston ! Cafe Adel has one of the best European dishes we have tried so far ! The place is Super clean , nice atmosphere, great service and great prices ! Definitely will be back !

Absolutely lovely! I visited Bosnia this year and was so excited to find this place. The server was very nice, nice bright atmosphere, and the foos delicious. I really liked the kajmak.

A serbian friend invited us to this restaurant since this is the only restaurant in town that has his food the closest home. Everything was really tasty. Service was really good. It will not disappoint.

I have never had a Gulas this quality in my life. Gosh.. People need to come here and try their Gulas, also the Pizzas and any food here taste so fresh!!

I have dined here multiple times, and look forward to visiting Cafe Adel any chance I get. It is hands down the best Bosnian food one can get in a restaurant in the States (and I’ve eaten at many!). Exception of course is my mother’s own kitchen, alas she doesn’t serve the public. I am working through the menu but let me tell you, so far everything I have had has been mouthwatering. Fresh, homemade, prepared with love and pride. It is a treat every time. The owner takes pride in his place, is approachable and will take the menu accessible to any. Don’t feel intimidated coming in. It is such a nice and welcoming place. Proud to see this place thrive!

Amazing food and service! Definitely authentic and delicious options with excellent wine selections. You don’t want to miss this gem while in Houston.

Food: I've had better Mediterranean food, might either need a new chef or improved recipes. Service: The whole hour I was there, I was only asked if I needed anything once, and it was by the manager, not the lady who was behind the bar where I was sitting. Atmosphere: This place is cramped. The only thing I liked about it was the window to view the chef baking orders in a brick oven.

Ordered kajmak with fried bread (ustipci), cevape, and burek. Definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

The place is quaint and clean. The staff is rushed and focused more on the quantity of service rather than quality. The food was mediocre imo. It's very pricey for what it is. It seems they've been trained to push alcohol sales. There is no complaint there, except for the high pricing.

I ordered a half cevapcici sandwich and I feel violated. It was basically a few cold beef sausages on a dry bread with way too many chopped onions. It honestly feels like I belong in prison while eating that, it was a punishment I did not deserve.

If you are not familiar with cevapi (cevapcici) then you absolutely must try it here. It's delicious. Even the small details count here. Cafe Adel toasts their bread. It's fantastic. Owners are very nice people. Beautiful pictures of Mostar (where they're from) in the restaurant. I love this place.

We ate outside. Beautiful weather. Very nice servrr and good food presentation. Not able to judge authenticity of cuisine as first time for this type. Meatballs reminded me of my grandmother's. That was a pleasant surprise.

On February 29th we checked out Cafe Adel in North Houston Area. My boyfriend and I eat Bosnian food often in Wisconsin, as he is originally from Bosnia. Cafe Adel uses a wood fire oven to cook mostly everything. You almost want to order the whole menu. We had the Cevappi and shared the Spinach Burek. Dessert was the Nutella Palacinke. Overall, would highly recommend!

Food was good and different! Atmosphere was fun with a singer singing songs native to the Mediterranean, which in turn had all the regulars singing along!

We had lunch today at Cafe Adel. The restaurant is simply decorated and very clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We have been to Bosnia and we’re very happy to find a local place that has great cevapi.

Friendly attentive staff, delicious food, and incredible atmosphere. We ordered the Sarma which was hearty and delicious beef and rice cooked in a delicate tomato sauce. Don’t leave without ordering the beef, cheese, or spinach Burek. We will definitely be returning soon!

This is my first time trying Bosnian food and it was delicious! I got the cevapcici sandwich and the sausage was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Bread was fresh and soft. My husband got the stuffed pljeskavica and he liked it too. Everything seemed fresh and I felt like I was transported to Europe. I hope they maintain their quality and authenticity because that is what makes me love the Houston food scene! I will definitely be back to get the cevapcici again and to try other Bosnian dishes on their menu!

We enjoyed the service and the food very much. Everything was excellent, including a gentleman playing guitar. It was a Sunday Brunch; we ordered Meza as an appetizer, Lamb Shank, Gulas (beef stew), Sakavci (Bosnian meatball) and a lunch special (beef stuffed in bell peppers) for a family of four. Highly recommend to those who have not tried Bosnian food.

Best cevapi I ever had! Turkish coffee was also on point, served just the way it is supposed to be served. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is great, I will for sure come again. True 5 stars.

This beautiful little cafe is a Houston must see! The food is delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere quaint and relaxing. I highly recommend the establishment! I got the shopska salad with salmon and it is some of the best prepared salmon I’ve had in quite some time and the salad ingredients are fresh and rich.

While passing through the area, my husband and I were looking for something off-the-beaten path and not your typical fare. We were so happy to stumble upon Cafe Adel. The service was the best I've had in a long time. The staff was highly attentive to all patrons. What we ordered was very good, but felt tailored to the American pallette. We did not order the prosciutto appetizer but after seeing another table get it, I wish we had. We did not save room for dessert, but the tufahije was definitely the item we wanted to get.

I asked them that I don’t want the bread with chicken sandwich, They didn’t do it. Terrible service!

The best Bosnaisn restaurant ever!! Firstly, the service was spectacular and everyone was super friendly and really took care of your needs. Secondly, that was the best Bosnian food I've ever had. I left feeling full, yet satisfied and not gross. You can tell they put a lot of effort and heart into what they make and everything was definitely top noch! On top of that, the entire place was super clean and smelled fresh, as well as very friendly and inviting and I felt like family! Would recommend! :)

Starting with the three stars, the food was very fresh, very tasty and as fast as fresh food can be expected, no complaints there. The two stars they didn’t get, what is with the tiny iced tea @ $3? I find that ridiculous. I waited for my to-go and after getting my receipt, it struck me that the receipt was taller than my cup of iced tea. No, not acceptable. Service was good.

This place has THE BEST cabbage rolls. The staff is ALWAYS friendly.

We came to Adel Cafe with our friends and absolutely loved the whole experience. The staff is super friendly and the food is authentic Bosnian food. The owner is very kind and friendly too and works hard along with his staff. It does look like they might use more help on the floor but the staff they had made up for it, not to mention the delicious food that was worth the wait. If you are a foodie and like to mix it up a bit, we highly recommend you give this place a try! We wanted to order goulash but they ran out (highly recommend) so we ordered: -a lamb shank (falling right off of the bone!!), -sarma (cabbage rolls but bear in mind, authentic Bosnian rolls are made with pickled cabbage which gives it that extra kick), -Stuffed pljeskavica (which is sort of like a burger stuffed with mushrooms and cheese- yum!), and -Shopska Salata (I haven't had one in years and this one was everything I hoped for, and more). We also recommend you try chevapi!!!!! A must try for sure!!! Give it a try, you won't regret it!! As everything is made fresh, it's homemade and a real comfort food. I should add they have an in house pizza oven so pizza is also another favorite.

Not just the best Bosnian food I've had, but also the best restaurant food I've had in a while. Not too oily, or salty, or sweet. I had one of the sandwiches and one of the desserts, and both were prepared to perfection.

It was the finest meal I've enjoyed in quite a while. If you're interested in savoring high-quality and unique cuisine, you should definitely pay a visit.

We have eaten here several times during the last few months and every time was a real treat. The restaurant is bit hard to find but with GPS no problem. Owners and servers are attentive and very friendly. Restaurant is spotless and always bright and comfortable. Food is very, very good and prices are very acceptable. There are various offers to suit all tastes and an extensive drinks list. Should not be missed and we will dine there again soon.

Easily 5 stars !! Both food and service exceeded expectations!!! Delicious in all aspects!! The stuffed collard greens (japrak) were perfectly seasoned! The lamb shank was cooked to perfection, so tender and juicy ! The meza platter was a perfect taste of many things ! Highly recommend! It’s in a quieter area which is nice

First time the cevape was pretty Good second time it was not that good. I love Bosnian food but this place is overpriced and the quality just wasn’t there. If you want to experience good cevape state side go to Chicago or even Dallas for a more authentic experience.

Good spot with ample parking, good food and excellent service. The pizza was really good and the fried cheese was amazing. The drinks are pricey as an average-ish wine was $13/glass and a can of coke $3/ea.

We had dinner and the experience was wonderful. Staff is friendly and Giovanni our waiter solved all our questions, since this was our first time we had Bosnian food. Food was tasty and beatifully plated. We tried the Sarma and the Gulas. Both of them came with silky mashed potatoes, and beef was tender and full of flavor. Definitely come back and try different dishes and desserts.

You have to try the salmon, it was cooked perfectly. I was waited on by Maria, she was very pleasant and helpful with the menu. Will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.

Some of the best food I've had all month! We haven't had Bosnian food before but it's close to our own Bulgarian food, and we really enjoyed everything. Definitely don't hesitate to stop by. Owner was super friendly too. Highly recommend the burek and cevapcici

Amazing experience, the food was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. The meat was soft and cooked right, the flavors were perfect, and it was filling. The custom service was even better, we called beforehand to make sure the meat was halal and the person on the phone was happy to answer. When we got to the cafe the owner welcomed us with a smile and remained patient with us while we were ordering. Definitely coming back!

Great Bosnian food. The cevapcici was excellent loaded with meat. Atmosphere was nice staff was attentive. Only disappointment was I asked for extra sauce which ended up being an extra $2.5 which they could've told when ordering.

While Houston has a plethora of Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants, and an increasing richness in various Asian ethnic eateries, Central European cuisines are minimally represented, if at all. Cafe Adel is run by a Bosnian native and offers a cross section of popular Bosnian dishes, many of which are variations of similar dishes that form part of Hungarian, Croatian, Romanian, Serbian and Greek cuisines. The Cafe is located in a mixed utility building and offers free onsite parking. The decor is basic but there is plenty of natural light. What the ambience lacks, the service more than supplements. The owner himself, and all his staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. There are a number of shareable appetizers. Some of them are similar to the Greek/Turkish mezze; others are shared with Central European traditions. The hummus is excellent, as is the Bosnian equivalent of Pita bread. There are a number of salads, all of them fresh and tasty. The Gulas is a solid beef stew, a simpler variation on the Hungarian Gulash. The lamb shank is excellent, soft, tender and juicy. The stuffed cabbage is a dish shared with much of Central Europe, and is well prepared. There is a separate kids' menu, with pizza and smaller dishes. A pleasant addition is a selection of wines from Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. All three countries produce respectable, sometimes exquisite wines at a more modest price than the better known Italian, Austrian and Hungarian wines. The Slovenian Malvazijas (the counterpart of the Italian Malvasia) are light, pleasant, well-balanced whites, with plenty of fruit and acidity. The Croatian Babic, a red blend, is very enjoyable. All the wines are well-priced and most can be ordered by the glass.

Food was delicious amazing staff very attentive and professional, will continue coming.

The lamb chop and rice are the food equivalent of your most loving grandma's hug. If you didn't have parents or grand parents who hugged you, go eat the lamb chop. It paired really well one of reds from Montenegro. The tiramisu and Turkish coffee were solid as well.
