The food was served quickly, hot and just as ordered. Portions were generous and everything was delicious. The warm towels for clean up was a nice touch. We will definitely be visiting here again soon.

Delicious. I had the pho soup and it was incredible! I had an awesome appetizer sushi roll that was very tasty as well that I’d love to get again! It was shaped like hearts . Dessert of the sweet mango with rice finished it off nicely. I only took one picture unfortunately but this was awesome! Our Server was very sweet too. Thank you !

This place wasn’t very good… the food too is grizzly, and the rudeness is extreme. They shouldn’t be business.

Low quality Asian fare at near fine dining prices. We were hoping to get sushi but most of their sushi was priced about 30% higher than it should be so we settled for a rice and a noodle dish. Both were swimming in a soy based sauce and had a paltry serving of vegetables. The server did the bare minimum. We've been burned twice now by this place and now it is permanently off the list. Don't pay these prices for subpar food people.

Sushi choices and tastes are minimal. I have eaten here 3 times over the past 4 months and each time I wish I would have gone to another Asian restaurant.

Family of vegetarians here: avocado sushi was fresh, as was the cucumber sushi, and the edamame. Not the MOST veggie friendly menu I've had at an Asian/sushi restaurant but not terrible either. Food was tasty, staff was clearly young/new but nice enough. Decent beer prices, too.

I ordered a couple orders of sushi, the volcano roll, California roll, and Philly roll. The volcano roll was different than it’s usually made, however it was absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the teriyaki chicken and fried rice. It was really good as well. The staff treated us very well and they were very friendly.

So many yummy sushi choices and great drinks! Floors are slippery so do take care pulling out your chair because it may move on you before you sit down lol. My sushi was delicious and would like to try something different next time! I got the salmon roll and the volcano roll.

While the food is decent here, my family and I will not be returning. The customer service is hands down terrible. We spent $90+ earlier this week on 2 entrees and 2 sushi rolls. We had a problem with our order, so I called the next day. The woman I spoke with said she would put a credit down for me just to save my order info and come in whenever. We decided to dine in for dinner 3 days later to use the credit. I spoke with the owner/manager before we even got our drinks and explained the situation. She got very defensive and said she could not find a credit but could see my order in their computer under my phone number. I explained the issues we had to her, she went back and forth to the computer 4 times. She was so loud when trying to talk to us that they whole restaurant could hear the issues we were having. She said there was nothing she could do that “we must have called the wrong place.” She was unwilling to apply a credit of any kind to our bill for any issues. We stayed and ordered (our mistake). When we got our bill at the end we were grossly overcharged for things and told there was nothing they could do. She refused to fix anything on the bill. We were charged $2 for a side of sauce, charged $5 for a can of soda, and charged for an extra plate to share a dish. After this experience, I read through some of the other reviews and it seems the issue is the same in most of them. The owner/management at this establishment. I would not recommend, nor will we be returning.

Used to be great but prices have increased and quality has decreased. Ordered 2 of the drunken noodles and 2 sushi rolls and it was $61. Portions were small for the price and the noodles were overcooked so they had the consistency of mashed potatoes almost. Sushi wasn’t anything special. You’ll get more for your money elsewhere. Beef was tender though and the flavor of the drunken noodles was good.

I have been ordering from this establishment for over two years. I just ordered from them within the last month in a half. I tried to call today to place my order and the guy proceeded to tell me after he reread me my phone number back, that unfortunately he can’t serve me or take my order. Of course this was shocking to me because the way he said it was so unprofessional. I proceeded to ask for what reason and what is the problem. He starts mixing his words up like he couldn’t get it out and then says “well I can’t say let me get my manager”. Of course I agreed because like I stated before me and my family always order from this place and just recently ordered with no issue. So he says to his manager “can I place this order” she says yes and so he gets back on the phone and says well never mind I can take your order. I instantly said “ NO put your manager on the phone because this is crazy and how you handling this is so unprofessional and then for you to continue keep talking and not tell me why you said you couldn’t take my order from the beginning is beyond crazy”. He gets the manager on the line and I proceeded to ask her “Ma’am may I ask what is the problem here, me and my family always order from here with no problem, we just ordered from here a month ago with no problem. Now you telling me where I can’t spend my money and not tell me why”. She begins to say when people place orders here, the waitress have to document under each number that places a take out order. Well it’s showing an order that I ordered in 2023 that I never came to pick up my order. So since that happened they can’t serve me going forward ”. I said well for one I’ve never placed an order with them and never not picked it up and then I just ordered with you all a month ago with no problem and not once did this come up or happen. She proceeds to apologize and stated it must was a mistake and that she can now take my order. I told her “yes please clear whatever that is in your system but no need to take my order because I don’t even feel comfortable with giving you all my money anymore. This was not only embarrassing but unprofessional especially towards a loyal customer”. This place does not have to worry about me or my family eating with them anymore!!

The chicken fried rice was fabulous. The customer service was friendly and my order was ready within 15 minutes of me ordering. I’ll definitely be back!

Café Asia 2 is definitely the best in Roanoke. The food is fresh. The vegetables are cooked perfectly. The flavors are delicious.

Had a really lovely date here. Kind of pricey, but the portions are very big and the food was excellent.

The staff at Cafe Asia 2 is professional and our orders are consistently fulfilled correctly and deliciously. I have Celiac Disease and require allergy protocols to eliminate exposure to gluten. The staff is always careful and attentive. On a side note I recently forgot my purse at the restaurant and the staff promptly kept it safe. When I returned to retrieve my purse the next day, all contents were there. Their sense of integrity is to be commended. I whole heartedly recommend Cafe Asia 2!

Each time I come here I am more disappointed. I was greeted by the manager saying, we are not really open yet.... Then why is the door unlocked? Not a very appropriate greeting for a customer... I paid $15 before tax for a meal that wouldn't have filled my 3 year old. The broccoli was so hard I couldn't cut it. The portions of their 'lunch special' are tiny! Server never checked on me after he dropped the food off. The manager asked if my empty water glass needed to be filled.. after my plate was empty. I said no, I'm ready to go. The service was poor, food wasn't good, and the portions were tiny. Take your business elsewhere!! What a waste.

Went early on New Years Eve as a birthday gift for a relative. Being gluten intolerant I love how many menu options I have. The food is delicious, the servings way generous and their staff friendly and well trained.

My boyfriend and I placed a to-go order with curbside option, but no one came out while we parked our car in the curbside designated parking spot right front of the restaurant. My boyfriend had to go in and still had to wait to be greeted. They weren’t busy anything so we got a little confused. No apologies from the host or the person who handed out our order. The food was average except the sushi was filled with too much sauce. We couldn’t really taste the actual sushi. Too bad.

Food is always amazing. Bald headed waiter needs to be fired!!! He kept touching my kids face and I told him to stop. His breathe stank and he talks way too loud and can’t get a word in. My dad asked for a fork and he took my wife’s. We said um we need that and he said okay. He will scare everybody away.

Paid $48 for a single meal, menu was priced incorrectly, no refills, server does not check on tables, tip is included at 30%. Do not recommend.

I come to Cafe Asia 2 On a fine Monday with my girls. Thy might say that it’s a simple place to eat food. But tis I was wronged. This is a place to experience, a place to dream, a place to feel apart of and safe. The workers make you feel as if you’re a family. That warm feeling on a Christmas night. With not too many Asian restaurants around Roanoke, this place will satisfy a hankering for many dishes. I got the Drunken Noodle while my husband got the Orange Chicken with a Blue Hawaii. We also ordered the Lamb Yaki as an app and it was aromatic and flavorful. The Blue Hawaii drink was made perfectly as well. As proof to how popular this restaurant is, while we dined I saw at least 20 different take out orders go out. I've ordered Pad Thai from this place as takeout and definitely would again. The sushi felt a bit overpriced, but once we tasted a roll you can tell the quality of the ingredients and it is definitely top of my list to come back for sushi.

I had the orange chicken dish, and it was awful! Chicken was not fully cooked and the entire dish tasted bad. Service is the worst I've ever seen - we were served one-at-a-time (party of 6) with about 5 minutes between each person being served. My food was cold before everyone at our table was served. The server did not return until he delivered the check. I only ate a few bites of my meal, and the woman who cleared the table as we were leaving did not ask if everything was ok or if there was a problem with the food. She simply took the plate away without saying anything. Check was well over $100. This place is excessively expensive for the quality of food and lack of service. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Unfortunately we had reserved a table to celebrate two birthdays this evening. Not the best night there for sure. Our waiter definitely was probably newer and he tried but he was extremely slow. I personally ordered the bento box because spicy scallop sushi is one we have gotten many times on a lunch combo and we love it and this time it was on the bento box. When it came it was nothing like the spicy scallop that they serve. It was more like a spicy crab meat mixture. The bento box was not very hot and the crab wontons were ice cold. The manager did go back and get me three new wontons. Everybody's food came in a different time and one of the birthday girls her food was the very last to arrive and I had to go ask about it. Definitely not on their game tonight which was disappointing as we spent the amount of money that we did celebrating. Hopefully things get back on track.

Amazing Asian food. Sushi, Thai, and so much more. The best in Roanoke, hands down.

Update 10/4/23 for dine in 5 stars: We enjoyed what we ordered very much. Everything was hot and fresh. You do get a smaller portion for lunch than dinner, but for the price that is to be expected. The service was good. Update 11/4/22 for dine in 4 stars: The appetizers were fantastic! My entre and rice were not hot, but it tasted good. I also really like the portion size for the price. My dinner companion was distracted by the gnats that kept flying around his plate, though. Any place can have an off night. So, hopefully, this is an anomaly. Online Order and Pick up 4/2022 5 stars: The food is hot and exceptional. I have never ordered anything that I didn't like. I have been ordering online and then picking it up, and it's always ready on time. It's why I keep coming back for their customer service, great quality ingredien, s and delicious food.

Food was disappointing, service was great. We had dim sum- not the worst, but not very good. The red dragon roll was okay, but not very fresh tasting or spicy. The general tsos was wayyy too sweet, not spicy at all, and overly thickened. Great place to go if you want very Americanized Asian food. Not good if you actually like Asian food.

My wife and I have been ordering here for years. In the early years we never received a mediocre or bad meal. This is the third bad meal here in recent years. The chicken was dry and rice cold as though it had been microwaved. We are very saddened by this because it was one of the areas better restaurants, and we will no longer be the faithful customers we have been!

Worth the high prices, every bite was great. Our server Samantha was on top of everything, never needed anything that she had already gotten or asked if we needed. It was our very 1st time and it's a great place.

I absolutely loved this place. The sushi is the best, so fresh and delicious. The dishes are authentic thai,Chinese, and Japanese. It's definitely something you may want to experience.

Amazing Food. Lovely atmosphere. Would suggest Singapore Rice Noodles, Plum Wine and mango sticky rice pudding, Mochis and Red Bean Ice cream. Flour is little slippery on shoes. Watch out.

Waiter seemed afraid to ask questions if he didn't understand. It was a little odd. Asked for modifications due to food restrictions; would not oblige. Did find something to eat, which was very good. But later I reacted to it. I do not know why, as I reviewed the menu carefully. Had they allowed what I requested, I would not have reacted. Anyway, probably will not return.

Stop coming here. It’s insane how expensive it is for a Roanoke restaurant. The food is honestly mid and you can get comparible food for way cheaper. Except the sushi, the sushi here is the best in town. stars only for the sushi and service

Everything was delicious! Service was on point! My only complaint was that I would have loved to have some soft oriental music playing in the background. Their choice was 70s-90s rock and roll. Kind of took away from the experience. This place is fine dining, not just casual..

This is a higher end Asian restaurant. There are Chinese and Japanese dishes including fresh sushi. We got fried won tons and pot stickers for appetizers and both were really good. We got shrimp lo mein, Generals chicken and sushi. All were exceptional. Service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. Quiet and clean inside. I fully recommend this restaurant.

DEVASTATINGLY BAD EXPERIENCE We've been customers of Cafe Asia 2 for years. Although the food tends to be bland/Americanized, the miso soup and green tea are good on a chilly day. Yesterday we went for a late lunch of lamb yaki, sashimi/sushi deluxe, and shrimp fried rice. When our food arrived, my husband bit into a shrimp from the shrimp fried rice and immediately spit it out. "That doesn't taste right." I tried a different shrimp, and concurred. The shrimp was spoiled. We contacted a manager, who spoke with the kitchen, and they confirmed the shrimp was rotten. She then asked if we would like them to make another shrimp fried rice. "Of course not!" "Would you like something else?" "No, thank you. We have an appointment, and frankly, have lost our appetite." Another manager came out to speak to us. He began by saying he "believed us." He then said he was sorry. He told us he would take the fried rice off the bill. I said, "Of course! In was inedible, so of course, you cannot charge us for that." I then asked how he would make things right. Again, he said he'd take the shrimp fried rice off the bill (he did not seem to understand that that was a given). I asked for the rest of the meal to be complimentary. He refused. I asked for a reduction of the bill, to make up for the unpleasant experience. He refused. Not only did Cafe Asia 2 serve us dangerously spoiled shellfish, two managers gravely mishandled the situation. No class whatsoever. In contrast, six months ago, a filet at Frankie Rowlands (Salem) was overcooked. We told the waitress, received another, perfectly-cooked steak, a SINCERE apology from the manager, and a $50 gift card. We will never return to Cafe Asia 2. I'd advise others not to either, both for their health, and on principle, for how they serve their guests.

Always friendly service and great food. There is nothing on the menu I have ordered that isn’t great, and this is the best sushi you will find in the area.

Always a great experience! Coworker and myself went for lunch on a Wednesday. Had the choice of bar seating or a table. Service was excellent and quick. Was able to get in and out in less than 40 mins!

I’d rather eat sushi from a gas station. Seriously if you want sushi DO NOT GO THERE, it is absolute TRASH. I’ve tried multiple times like maybe it was just bad that day, but every time I’m reminded why I hate it. I’ve also seen them treat their servers like…not good while I was eating it was super cringe. Would never go there again.

When the waiter came over, they brought warm towels to the table. Was highly recommended the elevated general tso’s chicken. It did not disappoint. This is the peak American-Chinese dining experience, I highly recommend it. And so grateful for such awesome service by Evan.

Pleasant atmosphere. Clean. Seated within minutes. Confused servers. Food mediocre at best. Potstickers were like something out of a frozen box from supermarket. Dipping sauce had no flavor, like watered down soy sauce. Not the usual . Main course again like a frozen Chinese dinner in a box. Very oily noodles, more like spaghetti. Minimal vegetables, small frozen shrimp in the dish was still cool. Sauce unremarkable. Not worth the price. I was dissatisfied. I don’t understand why people flock there , it was bustling on a Friday night. Not real Asian food. Very Americanized and low quality. The best thing was the warm washcloth before and after dinner.

We're new to the area so we wanted to try out different Asian restaurants. This one has a great variety of food that is very tasty and well presented. Our server Ethan (I believe that was his name) was very attentive and gave us information on the level of food spiciness. Our 6 year old wanted to try eating with chopsticks and he provided him with kids learning set. Also, my son ate almost all of his Lo Mein which is amazing for someone so picky 🤣 Our Drunken noodles were delicious. We'll definitely try out different dishes next time.

Prices are a bit steep, but it's worth it for the quality of food you get, if you like sushi theirs is top notch. Much prefer this location.

The food was cold an I ordered shrimp an didnt get it when I called the store to tell em the so call manger was laughing in my face then she was rude and hung up in my face , wouldn’t recommend NOBODY to eat from here -0000000/10 an the food was nasty 🤢

The place has deteriorated quite a bit. Must have newer nanagement and cooks. Prices have increased quite a bit and service has deteriorated. I gace decuded I will not patronize it again .

Went for my birthday with a few friends of mine. First issue we came across was the prices. The portion sizes compared to the prices were crazy to all of us. Secondly, and the main reason I am writing this review is due to the manager lady being blatantly disrespectful to me. I have celebrated my birthday at this establishment for the past 3 years. I have always brought my own cake when doing so. I have never had an issue with this. I even called the first time I did so. Something changed in someone's mind today however. The lady walked over to my table when I have a cake with candles on it. And right before we were about to sing, she told me that I either need to put the cake away or leave. I was shocked by this because it caught the attention of everyone in the room we were seated in. It was not only embarrassing to myself and my group but just straight up rude. And yes, I get it; their restaurant, their rules. All for that but that doesn't mean I can't write a review expressing the morality of a manager. I can understand a bottled drink or something but I was trying to have a good time with my friends and celebrate the occasion. Will definitely not be returning. I still am asking myself what she wanted to come from this interaction? Did she expect us to buy their overpriced dessert? Because that certainly wasn't going to happen. Thankfully, the wonderful ice-cream shop across the street, Katies; allowed us to finish our celebration. The rest of the night was fun and full of laughter. I really hate that this woman went out of her way to attempt to ruin our evening. I have one thing to say to the owners; please do better with the next group.

I had wanted to try their food for awhile, but the prices scared me. I have to say that it is worth a splurge every now and then! The food was incredible, the service was amazing, it was a dining experience, not just going out to eat. Dino was the best server I've ever had! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Pricey for what you get. The food is mediocre at best. The place looks new and nicely decorated, but they are obviously struggling to provide an upscale dinning experience. I did not try their sushi menu, only ordered Thai, Pho, and Chinese dishes, none meets my expectation at their price point.
