Such a cute cafe… amazing relaxing ambience.

My Favorite Restaurant. Period. The owner is very kind and can always be seen working at the restaurant. The decor and theming is better than any other restaurant of which I have seen. The well-furnished appearance of the restaurant, both in outdoor and indoor eating areas, is of an almost magical quality. It feels less like a restaurant, and more like someone's house, which in this case, is a good attribute. Good music is always played. Service is slow, but that is only because of the sheer amount of patrons at any given time, so I find it excusable.

Way over priced for mid quality food and service. If you like greasy food and rude waiters this is the place for you. And keep an eye on your bank statement for multiple charges

I really liked the coffee, and the atmosphere was nice. I wasn't crazy about the food I got, but I can be a little picky, so I don't fault the restaurant for that (for example, my wife loved the desserts, I wasn't a fan). The main negative was it ended up being a bit on the pricy side, probably closer to $40-50 a person if you count drinks and dessert. Tap water was not available, only bottled.

This was a really charming place with delicious, original food that you just don't find everywhere else. The service was very nice, and the whole experience was memorable.

I recently visited Cafe Bubamara, and I just have to mention how incredible their lemonade is! It was so refreshing and had the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. The staff was super professional and attentive, making the whole experience really pleasant. A special shoutout to the hostess—she was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is incredibly beautiful. It's my first time coming here but it surely won't be my last. There are so many options of food to choose from, and the portions were large. The decor is so cozy and makes you feel like you're in a blissful dream.

After visiting this place I feel that I don’t want to go out to eat anymore. Food was absolutely tasteless and dry and the service not what I expected. How can you sell a homemade lemonade tasting like powdered sugar lemonade for $9 dollars, I was very excited to come to this place and after food have my espresso and dessert but… after my meal I decided just to ask for the bill and leave.

-5/5 This place is super weird and super overpriced. Doesn’t look anything like the pictures. I ordered one latte and a slice of cake. The cake was very old and dry. Caramel latte didn’t taste like a latte. It has hell lot of syrup and didn’t even blend in well with drink. It’s the worst. Definitely regret coming here.

Stopped in Cafe Bubamara on a Saturday for a late lunch. Such a brightly colored, whimsical place with friendly, attentive staff. Was great catching up with friends, but doing so in such an aesthetically appealing place, made it all the more enjoyable!

This place has a very nice atmosphere, it is the first thing that is obvious from the minute one walks in… unfortunately my first experience hasn’t been very satisfying, the food and the service are lacking in many ways… the breakfast food we had was quite disappointing, overpriced portions, eggs that were overcooked and stale, then chewy and bitter mini pancakes with fruit that was partially moldy and certainly not the freshest… the coffee/latte was a skinny tall cup that was halfway fluid and halfway foam… the food doesn’t represent the pricing and the service quality doesn’t represent the suggested percentages for tips shown in the receipt 🧾 anything similar to interest rates on credit cards… a tip is to be earned and is not to be imposed or even suggested! Hopefully in a future opportunity I’ll have the chance to experience this place differently, and be happy to edit my review/rating about it… for now this is what Cafe Bubamara has provided us with!

Been to this place a lot of times and just got to leave a review :) The food is absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the menu has pictures. The place has its own unique and cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent—the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure we have everything we need. I highly recommend Bubamara! 🐞

The the food is delicious. The waiters Bernardo and Pane are very kind and helpfull, as well as the hostess Natasha. She welcomed us with an incredible smile and was very pleasant. All recommendations for this department, if you are from the Balkans, this place is an unmissable destination.

I love the atmosphere and food here but we didn’t like lemonade and want to change it. Staff tried to convince us lemonade is good and didn’t want to change the lemonade! It should be very easy and understandable in US if you don’t like sth, you could change it. We were very stressed there because of their behaviors. I hope you will be better next time.

Went to Bubamara today and i was highly disappointed, I come here all the time and today after ordering 6 bureks and 6 yogurts the yogurt drinks were spoiled & were molded.

Good place for breakfast and Brunch.

Everything you see in everyone's photos is accurate... The place is well appointed, the service was excellent, and the food was dead on. We primarily went for breakfast and the food that each of us had was excellent. In addition, while I would have loved to have Turkish coffee I opted for cappuccino and ordered two of them as they were delicious. Definitely a gem in the middle of Clifton, we'll be back for sure.

This place is so cute. Instagram friendly because of the decorations. I ordered the meat burek and it was fantastic! Ask to be seated outside in the garden area so you get the whole restaurant esperience.

I ordered online, when I got home and opened my order, it was completely wrong. We ordered Cheese Burek and got beef. We been going there for years and we never ordered with beef, this place been getting worse and worse as time goes on. And on the menu online there was a photo of one item and a name of another so when I ordered it by name I got a completely different thing. Very unsatisfied.

We were around the area with hubby after a doctors appointment (fasting) and thanks google for the cafe suggestion. Was oir first time there and the experience was above and beyond. Turkish coffee like I never had tried before. We ordered traditional breakfast and a traditional entries with feta cheese and honey. It was love at the first bite the mix of everything the sour salty and the honey with the little like a fried fluffy tortilla OMG I can't dmfind the words to describe it. The Turkish coffee another 10/10 and my husband's omelet just on point. Definitely a place to comeback with the kiddos and papas. Thanks THE SERVICE ALSO WAS AMAZING

Went for father's day. Outdoor eating, patio had a nice design made the experience that much better. Although, it took a while to get our food (fathers day) it was worth the wait. It was hard to pick a meal due to having so many delicious options. Service was great. Recomend this place and I will certainly be coming back.

The place is a so beautiful for a summer dinner and the food is incredible. The best part however was the service, Bernard took remarkable care of us. He was very kind and attentive and very knowledgeable. Some of the best service I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend

Terrible service! Waiters are just waiting for you to finish your last sip of your drink and they are coming immediately to bring you the check even though you didn’t ask for it! Skip this place, thank me later!

Only restaurant I have ever been to in the U.S. that has refused to serve tap water. Unacceptable. They also charge junk credit card fees.

Everything perfect except the service

We went to this restaurant for Sunday brunch with our friends and our dog. The main reason we picked this spot was the patio/outdoor dining area, so we could stay there with our pup. There was some confusion about where to seat us; one of the tables was booked by the owner or something, so we just waited, and nobody came to confirm what was going on for at least 10 minutes. Then another waiter came outside and told us to take that table. By the way, the owner didn’t smile at any customers at all; he even looked a bit angry. Once we were finally seated, the service was quite good and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers to share, including borek/burak, one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant. It was good but a bit dry for my taste, mostly dough with cheese. For the main course, I ordered something that looked a lot like a calzone but was a different shape. I was full and didn’t even finish it. A huge advantage is that the menu has pictures of all the dishes, so you can have an idea of what to order and how it will look. Overall, I would recommend this place for brunch. We are happy they were dog-friendly, despite some bumps at the beginning.

First off the place is BEAUTIFUL. I am living in Toronto and I came to visit, and my friend took me here.. the food is amazinnnnnnnngggg.. Balkan style food - 10/10. The service as well deserves a special shout out. I am very very impressed.

Lovely place as always! Been here a few times before and this time, came with my whole crew of friends who fit in the family category better. We had such a blast eating fluffy, pillowy bread that reminded me of Laura Ingalls Wilder's House on the Prairie and the vanity cakes the mother made. They hit so well paired with simple cheese and honey- divine, I say! The staff are lovely and joined in on our jokes here and there. Turkish coffee? An absolute must-have for all coffee lovers. I would come here again and again if they keep this up!

Food was great, cappuccino and tea were excellent. The food portion was a decent size. Ordered two full size items to share and it was just enough for two and some to take home. I would definitely be returning in the future.

LOVE coming here! I'm from the Balkan myself so always love being able to eat our food and listen to our music in a cute setting like this. Make sure to try the traditional food like burek and cevapi, you won't be disappointed.

I've been here 2 times this past week once on Wednesday evening with 1 best friend and 2nd time on Friday evening with 2 best friends and I have to say it is stunning, such an awesome place love the decor. The whole aesthetic is beyond words. I love the old school European feel, the images on the walls, the music and most of all the food, desserts and drinks are 10 stars 🌟🤩 all the way!!! This place far surpasses any other place I've been to this year. Cafe Bubamara does get packed to the hilt, so if you have time make sure to go early. They don't take reservations but it is soooooo worth the wait. They have an outside part in the front part of the establishment and also a wonderful garden area in the back. 👍 The staff is amazing, so on point and know their food. The desserts are out of this world tasty. They even have a strudel that's made to order. My friend had the cherry one yesterday and it was so flaky and delicious. The cherry filling packed with cherries was tart and sweet the perfect combination of both flavors. Like a burst of flavor in your mouth with a light dusting of sugar on top it was just so right.. Just like grandma used to make... now there is a place we can all come to, to experience old world culture and food ❤ ambiance and friends. This whole heartedly is one gem of a place in the middle of Botany village in Clifton NJ. This is a place where memories are made and will make as the years progress. There hours are very good 👍 the bathrooms clean. Important to me... Super friendly and happy staff 👍 Owner also very nice and cordial. I only wish great success to them. I know they'll make it. This is a place that'll stay because of what it brings to the community. A warm and inviting place for the masses of people who love to dine out. There is nothing better than going to a place that you love to go to because of the way they make you feel. ❤ and because you love the food. I absolutely 💯 recommend this diamond in the rough Cafe/Restaurant. Also a great place for a date or to meet your friends/family and enjoy your night. What's another great thing is you don't feel rushed to get out like most places. As long as you are eating and drinking, all is good. But they do tell you (All is so good here! Because it is). Very dirty place! I went a few times and the baskets in which they put the food are extremely filthy! The food is good but you would have to overlook how dirty their stuff are. I took a pic and added it to the photos section that shows how bad it is. I wish that they would improve in this area. Also, the owner sits with his friends and they talk so loudly without caring about how people feel or the noisy environment he is creating in his place. The music is so loud most of the time which adds to the negatives of this place. Not a calm place to enjoy eating with someone nor is it clean!

Great Serbian/Balkan restaurant (not sure why it's listed as Turkish). I absolutely love the burek, pančerote, đevrek, prženice, and španski vjetar cake! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, though. It's all very fresh and tasty, so give this place a shot if you want a delicious meal!

Most recent experience not so positive. This establishment is not big enough, especially where you are seating breakfast customers for 50+ people in a 200 sq foot room (if not smaller). We were directly seated next to people with no spacing between our tables, when food was brought over the space was so tight that the waiters/waitress would have to hold the food on top of other customers in order to get to our table. Super uncomfortable experience.

The food & the Turkish coffee were great but the latte was bland. The service was ok.

The atmosphere was not bad, but the staff were so rude. My gf and I drank 2 smoothies and then we wanted to sit for a while. However, the staff persistently came and asked if we wanted anything else. In just 5 minutes, they brought us a bill without our request and asked us to leave. It was a total disappointment

We ordered 2 smoothies for 2 people. At the 20th minute of our arrival at the cafe, they brought us the bill even though we did not want it, and they said that we are busy on a weekend evening and if you are not going to order anything else, you can pay the bill. We got engaged this morning, it was a wonderful ending to the day (!)

I love the art and culture of this place. It’s absolutely amazing. The Turkish coffee was a treat as was the dish it was served on. Beautiful. The vanilla yogurt and whipped egg whites dessert was heavenly! It’s a must try.

Great food and service, however, did not appreciate to order a fresh squeeze orange juice that ended up being artificial orange juice even though I asked twice if it was really natural. They charged us $18 for a couple of artificial orange juice full of ice. If you need a fresh squeezed orange juice go to Noches de Colombia restaurant in Clifton and you will have the real deal for $6

My friend and I came here for the first time today for brunch. The food was amazing and savory. I ordered the Bubamara omelette and my friend ordered the breakfast wrap. Both were so delicious and tasted really fresh. We also ordered the spinach and cheese burek which was my favorite of all the food I had. It was fresh, flaky, and just perfect . We also had a cappuccino and the Turkish coffee which I highly recommend. The staff are also really nice and attentive. We are def coming back soon!

Great Balkan Mediterranean food

Cafe Bubamara was eclectic, charming, delicious and heart-warming. I had a crepe filled with chicken and cheese, fabulous. My friend had French toast which was delicious and so pretty (check out pix) We also shared a mini Burek filled with cheese and spinach - heaven! First time having Turkish coffee, and it's a must have. Service, food, atmosphere, decor... 10 out of 10. Please don't miss this gem. Oh and this is a must for date day/night!!!
