Holy cow! Perfect, cute, little beach town Cafe

This place saved my life. Wi-fi went out where I was staying and I came here to do some work while on vacation. Food was delicious, coffee was sumptuous, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. This is the perfect, cozy neighborhood café to get your day going (or save you from an emergency deadline).

Christian did amazing keeping me food safe. Art in the kitchen is also a star and multi tasker Emily (hostess / waitress / bus disher / batista) wow busy lady killing it! 10 starts would be more appropriate!! Wish they were in "our area".

Very cute hidden crepe place. I had the bay crepe and it was delicious!! The inside seating is very charming with lots of knick knacks everywhere you look, and there are some beautiful paintings of Oregon for sale!

It would be hard to find by accident, since there are no signs, but once you know about this little gem, it is worth routing the GPS to this place. Very friendly service, quaint atmosphere, and delicious dishes. Menu items have whimsical tongues-in-cheek France names.

Hole in the wall coffee and breakfast place. Best coffee we have had our whole trip to the coast, and the best breakfast. My husband and I got a couple of sweet crepes and split the quiche of the day(chefs kiss to the flakey crust). My daughter got the parfait. Everything was absolutely delicious and made to perfection. Would eat here often if I lived in the area.

Absolutely Delicious and friendly staff. If you're staying nearby, I recommend the savory crepes and coffee. YUM!

The food at this place was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. The young man who took our order was very efficient and got our food to us in no time. In all my travels, this has been the best crepe experience I've ever had, and I've been to a lot of places. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience!

There was a long wait for food (they stopped taking food orders at one point to catch up), but the wait was well worth it!

We stopped for lunch and had delicious savoury crepes (one smoked salmon, the other their homemade fennel sausage). Beautiful food. Highly recommend.

Quality all around! I had a delicious sandwich "The Oink" with a lite garden salad and yummie house dressing. Topping it off I got two fruit tarts one I ate on the spot and one to go for tomorrow's breakfast. I want to keep the nice C'est la Vie vibe going!

On our visits to Lincoln City we try and stop at Cafe C'est La Vie sometimes just for Coffee and Pastry, sometimes for Crepes. After our experience today we won't return. The girl at the counter was snippy and condescending. She asked us to have a seat and she would bring menus and take our order. (actually as I was trying to give our order at the counter she said "are you talking to me?) Really that is how you treat a customer? We found a seat and she came and took our order and a couple people in our group were trying to figure our what to order which clearly irritated her. In the end we just ordered a Chai, Coffee and pastry. These were good. As we got up to leave she called out "are you going to settle your bill?" I said of course I am right here and again she did the whole eye roll thing/smirk. Very rude.

We try and stop here every time we visit Lincoln City. Cute, little place with good coffee, crepes and pastries. Today we encountered such a rude, condescending attitude from the girl at the counter we will never go back. In the past we have given our order at the counter then taken a seat. Today as I was giving my order she said "are you talking to me?" with a smirk. Ok... so we took a table and she brought our menus, a couple of the people we were with had a hard time deciding what they wanted clearly irritating her. In the end we just ordered Coffee, Chai, Latte and 1 pastry. These were good as always. As we got up to leave she called out "are you going to settle your bill?: I said of course I am right here and again I got the smirk as tho we were wasting her valuable time. If I could give -5 for customer service I would.

Waited 30 minutes for a crepe, it was thoroughly burned and crispy. Also never got the latte.

Oh my goodness! What a terrific little neighborhood place tucked in right off the highway. It is cozy, small. Pleasant staff. The food was WONDERFUL! We had the country breakfast. So good! As we sat there, a steady stream flowed in and out for their baked goods. Our ciabatta with the breakfast was so good, we decided on a treat on our way out. An almond croissant as good as any we have had in Paris! What a great place this is. We will be back!!

Food is absolutely amazing and an incredibly extensive menu. They are able to make gluten free crepes too The service is very good, they are incredibly nice. Not a lot of places to park or sit and eat, so probably works well for to go food. I cannot wait to come back.

The food was amazingly wonderful!! The staff were fabulous!! So glad we went and will definitely return if in the area again! This brunch was a highlight in our trip, we enjoyed the staff, the ambiance and the generous portions of delicious food!

Wonderful experience! Celebrated our 48th anniversary with mimosas and a beautiful blueberry lemon crepe. Also love the baked eggs, a favorite of ours. Always enjoy it!

Love the handmade butter croissants and crepes! Best espresso in Lincoln City. They get busy so go early if you want pastries.

Great coffee and food in a charming building. Service is very friendly but erratic, and the wait was quite long before w got our food.

Relaxed local crepe and coffee shop with very pleasant atmosphere, Limited space, unhurried service, low pressure environment. Fresh ingredients. Reminiscent of old style coffee houses. Very enjoyable! It has become a favorite morning break for a friend and me, who visit regularly for the Strawberry and Cream Crepes, with a Latte.

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of this special little French cafe.

We always stop here when coming thru town. Food is good! I don't love the crepe batter as it isn't very light or fluffy but the fillings are yummy!

This place was highly recommended for its cappuccinos. Those were good. But the service is something they need to work on. Crabby lady to take your order. Kind of dampened the mood.

Cute little coffee shop with tasty food. Just off 101 in a little development. Quaint little shop with seating for around a dozen or so. Fairly diverse menu of Crepes. Pastries and other assorted dishes not to mention good coffee. It really is worth a stop.

Tasty pastry (cranberry scone) and a nice savory crepe. Lovely cappuccino. The young lady working the front was delightful and seemed to enjoy working at her aunt’s restaurant. We had a nice time. Get there early for selection of the pastries.

So good! Loved this little cafe in the neighborhood. Lattes and mimosas before crepes and sandwiches. I recommend The Farm, it was delicious.

I received a chai latte twice now & it was just steamed foamy milk. Usually they are very good. You know the old saying “ Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on me” I will not be back

We stumbled on this place maybe a decade ago when walking around the area from Gleneden. Great crepes, great coffee ( we love their mocha), pkeasant service. Been coming here ever since and still love it - one of our go-tos.

Eggetarian Food Review: Latte was ok. The juice alas is not fresh squeezed. The croissant was not good. Pretty dense and chewy. However the savory vegetarian crepe was good. I asked for onions to be added and that definitely made a difference. The service will need more work though. Hopefully it will be a better experience next time. Quaint place.

Great place with some of the best brunch type food I have tasted in the area. Great coffee and would be a lovely place for mimosas or a noon time wine.

I ordered the salmon crepe, and my wife got a sweet crepe. Both tasted very good, but weren't really what we were expecting. These crepes lean more toward crispy omelette rather than delicate pancake consistency. I think they're more egg heavy than usual. My wife has a slight egg allergy, and has never had an issue eating crepes, pancakes, or waffles before, but she ended up having a very bad reaction to these crepes that lasted a couple of hours. The staff was busy and we had to go to the register to get our bill. If you can find a place to park, expect a modest wait if there are other people ahead of you. This isn't a place to visit if you don't have extra time to spare, but if you do, it's honestly not a bad stop.

You must try the forest crepes! Great seasoning and ingredients. The cappuccino was great quality, also. We will definitely return so we can try all the other menu items.

This is a quaint little cafe with a few seats to dine in. We absolutely loved the food - everything from the quality, taste and presentation. We both left feeling like we could have had two of what we ordered, so I’d suggest trying somewhere else if you have a big appetite, or ordering a couple of their items because they are delicious!

This place is amazing! Great sweet and savory options, and cozy sophisticated atmosphere. We had two sweet crepes and the quiche and shared all. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Are you really not open on a Monday and Tuesday in the summer? So disappointing. Looks great and chose to stay right near there but didn't see the hours until too late. It looks like a cute place. Consider being open during summer months for tourists.

Update summer 2023: This little gem needs some order and management. 3-4 people working and everyone is doing their own thing and not working together. Nobody is taking charge, it’s complete chaos. Tables sitting empty with many patrons standing waiting for a table while the entire outside patio sat un bused. I was served a broken water cup and thankfully didn’t get cut. I was also served my food of a piping hot plate. Think lava hot 🥵 and I burnt my hand moving it. Would have been nice to be told not to touch the plate. And last but not least the portions are tiny for the price. Bottom line, this place is cute and has potential in the correct hands. Great service. Prices seemed reasonable. Very hopping place. The Fresh made pastries we’re OK at best. Would have been better if they were not overcooked. Just go to Depot bakery. I was Very disappointed in how both the baristas were dressed with their barely there attire. It made me very uncomfortable and I am sure it would make any respectful man even more uncomfortable as this is a family place. Sure I’ll go back my kids like the ice cream that would be about it.

We have been here before, love the atmosphere but this time the service was very very slow, they were not that busy and it took about a half hour to clear an empty table so we could be seated. Once our order was taken it took close to an hour to get our order. Then another half hour to get our bill. I would say don't go here unless you have a half a day to waste on your vacation. The food is good but not worth the wait.

Crepes were so good! The workers were so sweet, but it took a long time to get our food. I will say, we were a party of 8, and I'm wondering if they just held our food until it was all ready... Overall though, great experience!

The food was good. Props to the kitchen. The other staff were not kind nor welcoming. They were very busy with a large crowd of kiddos wanting ice cream after they had closed. We noticed this so I went inside to pay so they didn't have to take time away to come outside to give us the check and then wait for US to pay. However, the waitress seemed annoyed when I asked for two hot chocolates for the road (our kiddos were being good so we treated them). I asked for the drinks and she said "you know I'm closed"- we hadn't closed out our check and were trying to be curtious to them by going inside to order. Again WTH. When she turned around to talk to the barista, she said "I can't wait to go on vacation" wth! After we got up to leave , I asked our two boys to use the restroom b4 we left and the waitress quite literally shut the door on us so we couldn't go in for them to use the bathroom. UGH..

We come to Depoe Bay every year, and it’s a must that we come to C’est La Vie at least once per trip. The crepes are delicious. I also love the quiche of the day. I haven’t had one that I haven’t liked. The hostess was very helpful in explaining a few menu items and getting us an inside table.

Walked from the campground around the corner from the cafe and ordered an Italian soda, Turkey sandwich and salad.. so delicious!

Wonderful place with fantastic food and coffees. I ordered the salmon melt with an egg on top. My wife got the la forest crepe with scrambled eggs on the side. To finish off we shared the le citron crepe with was lemon curd and blueberry.

A cute cafe with delicious crepes, we tried several and they were all fabulous. Highly recommend eating here. There seemed to be minimal parking, and small seating, but well worth the trip.

Flabbergasted. My husband and I have been traveling the West Coast. We were so excited to come check this place out! Upon entering, the manager was very rude. Looking at and responding to us sarcastically about finding a place to sit. After bringing menus, my husband enquired about the soup, quiche, and salad of the day. She responded back rather quickly and I too wondered if she could say it again. She became offended and walked away when we enquired. We are from the south and this is the third person we have come in contact with in Depot Bay that was rude, short, and unkind in response. Certainly not the southern hospitality we are use to!

This is by far the best Café I have ever eaten. Every meal was not only pleasing to the eyes but also OMG delicious. Not one complaint. The kids enjoyed lounging on the couch and had their own area to be kids. Definitely recommend eating here or at least getting coffee and pastries.

This is a lovely place for a relaxing meal. The menu is great and the kitchen accommodates for dairy and gluten free meals.

The service is really bad. They open at 8.30, we have our order at 8.36am. I asked my order togo since I dont have time to eat there. They told us our order should be ready in 20 mins. We waited until 9.30am and they kept saying your order is on the way, sorry we’re busy. But when I came, only a few people ordered, I came before they even getting busy, only 6 mins after they opened and they still couldn’t make my order. It took them more than an hour just to get 2 sandwiches. I came to asked them, they said you only order 15 mins ago. I showed them my charged at 8.36 they said I didn’t want to argue with you. Poor customer and not enough staff. Only 1 staff in the kitchen for breakfast meals, 1 staff for coffee and 1 staff for taking order.

I was very disappointed with our breakfast experience at this cafe. I’m not sure what the problem was but we waited 30 minutes for our coffees and 90 minutes for 3 crepes, an egg sandwich, and essentially, shrimp in cream sauce on toast. The staff’s explanation for the delay was that “it’s Saturday”. The shrimp dish was supposed to be on brioche but was actually on what appeared to be baguette. We saw other frustrated customers go so far as to cancel their orders and request a refund and leave. We chose to stay and didn’t kick up a fuss but it felt weird to be there in some ways. The place serves quality coffee for sure. The staff was polite and they were nice, but I came away from this place with this peculiar sense that I had almost burdened them with my business, which was strange and unpleasant. Perhaps it would have been better had we stayed away for everyone and I don’t think I’ll go back to this establishment.

My favorite is the chai latte and baked eggs. But the crepes are all very good

Literally just off the main highway (101), hidden in a nice little neighborhood, this cute little place is awesome! Everything we ordered was delicious. The crepes were a nice break from the usual seafood / burger / pizza places that are everywhere. Friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, and good food...we'll be back!

Love the atmosphere for a charming quiet change and get away for a chai and crepe. Waitress is wonderful attentive and friendly. The make GF crepes for gluten sensitive people like me. They do sell out so get there early.

Lovely place with phenomenal food and selection.

Excellent food and drinks, but very limited seating indoors. The staff are all nice and attentive, but due to the fresh made meals the wait is longer than most people expect and there is limited space to wait. Also, parking is just as limited....room for approximately 4 cars. If the weather permits, there is more outdoor seating.

Enjoyed the turkey sandwich one day and the ham the next. Both excellent. Great service and prices.

No seating for 5, we had 50 minute wait time after walkup order was placed, and had to get order to go because of no seating for five. Insufficient parking. To leave you are only allowed to make a southbound right turn and drive about 1/2 mile to turn around northbound back to Salishan area. Rude service at the counter, we were ignored. Customers sitting at small tables became frustrated and approached service counter for ordering. Clearly customers being ignored by lack of multitasking capabilities.

This small cafe is off the beaten track. A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch. Coffee was OUTSTANDING. My husband and I both had savory crepes, which were served with fresh fruit. Very filling and delicious. I would loved to have tried the sweet crepes. Service was friendly and the decor of this cafe is charming.
