Coffee and food 10-10 The waiting time is FATAL. They said that orders took 20 to 25 minutes and it took more than 1 hour for the order to come out.

I want to express my feelings today, August 23, 3024. On this page it indicates that they open at 7:00 AM and today from 6:45 there were countless people waiting for them to open at 7:00 AM and the staff who was there today AM, did not have the courtesy to serve us or at least let us know that they would open later. 7:15AM arrived and we started to leave because they couldn't even make eye contact with us. I am a loyal customer, I had guests and I felt ashamed of the way they ignored us. What happened today my people is unacceptable. This is not done. The client pays the salaries of all Café Cuatro Dombra workers. Totally disappointed!

Of the few restaurants that open at 7am for breakfast, there were more than 20 people waiting outside after a 5k for them to open and we all left after the waitresses were ignoring us and playing very loud music to ignore us. We waited 15 minutes longer and God knows how much more of the future clients... what a shame, they lost many clients. It would have been nice to say, "Sorry, we're a little late, but we'll get back to you soon!" but nothing... you made signs to them and knocked on the door and they didn't even look at you

Yall they were right. I’m eating the ham croissant with guava butter and I’m speechless.

I bought coffee to go .. coffee is good but i was surprised with the mandatory tip of 29% upon paying..no options was given

Cozy, and delicious place! ***It is not table service*** you order at the register, and when it is ready they call you by name and you bring it to the table yourself.

The espresso in the latte was very bitter. I ordered a double shot, but it was too strong. I added 3 sugars (I don't even eat sugar) but it did not help. I threw it away. Also they do not take cash.

I visited this establishment twice during a recent vacation to Puerto Rico. Our first stop was with a group on a food tour. We were able to sample a delicious ham and melted cheese sandwich on croissant as well as espresso. It was so delicious, we went back the following morning to get coffee for the entire group. It is a popular place, but they produce the beverages relatively quickly. It’s also a great part of town for walking, sitting, and people watching. Leslie, I am a huge coffee snob, and this place delivers. Very nice espresso.

I had a yummy iced latte and my crew had cappuccino they loved it. We also tried their Brandy cake, guava coconut pastry and brownie all really good!

I had breakfast and coffee here each morning I was in San Juan. The coffee is very good as is the prepared food and baked goods. Go for the guava butter and coconut cookies (heavenly), you will not regret it.

First brunch in Old San Juan. Ordered a turkey sandwich and a mocha coffee. The sandwich was good. Bread was nicely toasted and had nice texture. Mocha coffee was tasty as well. Nice clean vibes and workers were friendly.

I only tried the cold brew and it was really well made. It had really great vibes and was decorated cute. The staff was friendly and I would definitely come back and try it again. It’s a convenient location and they have bathrooms available so a nice place to take a break from walking around San Juan.

They never answer their phones!!! And this is for the past 5 years!!! What tupe of business is this???

Great coffee, good food. However, I was expecting a bit more based on some recommendations, but in my opinion a bit above an average coffee place (3.5 out of 5). The Salmon Avocado toast was probably the best out of what we ordered. The Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich was just too plain. Fresh Orange juice was good. Coffee was well prepared. Good place for a quick bite with decent prices I might say.

Can’t wait for their crop to return to levels where they can sell their whole beans again. Until then, I love to stop in for a tomato jam and boursin toast. My daughter loves their salmon sandwiches. The interior courtyard is a quiet reprieve from the busy neighborhood. Friendly staff. I think this is a stop for some of the private tours as I often see groups going to the back to see how they sort and roast their beans. This place actually has peaberry quality if that matters to you.

The most delicious sandwiches I have ever had. We literally drove an hour back to San Juan just to have them one last time. Worth every penny.

Nice coffee bar roasting, making and sell native coffee from Yauco. Also prepared foods and pastries. Close to the hotels and at the edge of Viejo San Juan. Appears to be women owned and run too. Lovely place.

Food was horrible. Service was even worse. What surprises me more is their consistency, as I am yet to have a good experience with this place. It costs $0 to not be an absolute moron.

Beautiful coffee shop with a courtyard. Down to the coffee: one of the most complete coffees I have ever tasted. The attendant didn’t seem to be too friendly. I just asked him a simple question about their blend and didn’t seem too interested or proud of their product. I didn’t buy any for that reason.

The food is amazing. We went twice on one day and even came back on our way to the airport. Definitely get the lemonade. I found the service to be a bit stiff.

Food was delicious but the wait took ages! And we were there early on Saturday morning.

Don’t like to leave bad reviews but unfortunately this has happened twice now. Really long wait times for a cup of coffee (30 minutes or more). This most recent time I waited 40 minutes and when I said I’d waited for 40; minutes the barista got angry. Hopefully the owner can see this review and do something to address the wait time issue. This place could be a 5 star cafe, but with long wait times and a crabby barista, not possible.

Best coffee I had in San Juan, easily! We had Vanilla Lattes and Iced Coffee every morning for almost a week. Chocolate chip cookies and the beef pastellitos were great snacks. We also had the Cuatro Sombras Sandwich and Yauco Sandwich a few times, which I highly recommend. The cafe has a very cute, warm interior with seating inside and outside. They have AC and bathrooms as well. There was always a line when I visited but moved pretty fast. It’s hard to find a seat since it’s so busy but not impossible. The staff is super friendly and nice, the vibe is absolutely great in there! Must visit!

Gets busy in the mornings, but we were still able to find a seat inside. They also have an enclosed outdoor space in the back. The iced caramel latte was so delicious, I came back for another on my way out of OSJ the next day. I tried the quesito both plain and with guava, not the best I’ve had but not terrible. I also got the campesino which was really tasty and filling.

A stylish and comfortable cafe where you can feel the warmth of wood. The price is reasonable at $3 for a 6oz (170cc) cappuccino. The atmosphere was comfortable for even one person to enter.

Food and coffee was good- but the barista didn’t hear one drink order correctly. When we kindly asked for them to fix their mistake- they offered to simply poor the hot latte over ice to remedy the situation. I had to argue with the staff to get them to correct their mistake- which they suggested charging us more for bc they didn’t have the right size cup. Thankfully they finally folded and made us a new drink.

Came with the family around 4pm. The atmosphere was so relaxed. We had time to catch up and just enjoy the coffee. So good guys. Highly recommend.

I am a coffee snob, and this place has the best cold brew I have ever had in my life. Sooo smooth! They have a full time person that babysitts and constantly watch over the entire roasting process. Amazing atmosphere and great chill music.

Good coffee bad service. Got a small Americano To Go and had to wait 25 mins for my coffee. There were 3 people behind the counter and 2 customers who came after me got their coffee before I did. Maybe because I didn’t tip for the 2.60 $ drink🤷🏻‍♂️

I absolutely love the Danish with guava butter it’s my go to when it’s too hot to eat and stay on my diet :) my husband loves the coffee, I don’t do caffeine but if I did I would indulge myself with some ❤️🇵🇷

We had breakfast there this morning and it was just okay. They gave me the wrong coffee order. My avocado toast was bland. My husband liked their banana bread and it was cute inside.

If you come, hands down get the croissant sandwich with the guava jam. I was in shock how good it was oh my god! Coffee was good and atmosphere was nice.

If food is bad and place is busy, I understand and would never leave a bad review, but it’s people who usually make or break the reputation plus this place has combination of bad food and customer service. Leaving this review for the attitude of the cashier who made us feel as we committed a crime visiting. Even if place is busy, you could answer things with a good attitude. Not to mention watching live cross contamination with same pan continuously being used to cook in b/w different customers. Waffles were the frozen ones from Costco and runny eggs were cold. My one bad review won’t make any difference as this place has the advantage of a good location and tourists. Through out our long stay to San Juan and almost visiting 20+ restaurants, I been impressed how nice people are, except at this place.

Get ready to eat and drink from paper plates and cups for the price of a sit in restaurant. Probably better suited for to go! Sitting is whatever you find, with the crowds on top of you so it is hard to enjoy your breakfast. Portion size and proportion not comparable with the price. Refused to serve coffee how it's meant to be served - in an actual CUP! The place has huge potential - train the barista to get the right milk, switch to sit in with actual plates and cups. Re design the portion size and proportions And have the line for togo orders only.

Super cute cafe along a main street in Old San Juan. Came here due the positive reviews and it did not disappoint!! Their coffee is strong and while we took the coffee to go, the interior is incredibly cute and they have a nice outdoor area. Seating is limited.

Great coffee and sandwiches but on the pricier side

We came here as we were walking through Old San Juan and location was very convenient. We chose this shop as someone in our group was excited that they offered French Press, but unfortunately even though it was on the menu and we saw one in the shop, they told us they weren’t able to make one. They offered a Chemex pour over which they said they could only make for two people for $12. It’s unfortunate that it’s on the menu but wasn’t accommodated, even though there were no lines and the shop was pretty empty. Others in the group got a variety of latte based drinks and they were good!

Very much enjoyed the coffee and sandwiches. Fresh and quick service. We peticularily enjoyed sitting in the little garden back outside. Recommend.

They had a brutal disorder. I bought the coffee to go, and it was horrible, I had to throw it away. Anyway, I wasted my money. I don't recommend it at all.

Hidden gem in OSJ! A1 Service, A1 Coffee Spent an hour of my Saturday afternoon here working remote. The moment I walked in I got a nice welcoming vibe from the staff, ordered a croissant, hibiscus tea, oatmeal, and my normal double espresso. These guys brought me everything a platter in 4 mins. Oatmeal was warm, espresso coffee was excellent, hibiscus tea was excellent, and the croissant was served fresh. Highly recommend

There were several people waiting for their orders when i walked in. Stood to order 3 feet from barista for 5 minutes then was informed I was in the wrong place to order. I turned around to see 6 people walk in. I noped out of there. There are plenty of other places to get coffee in old san juan that don't ignore you.

Highly recommend this place. Drinks were perfect, my wife said it was the best Chai she ever had. The sandwich we got was insanely fresh and delicious. We wish we lived down the street so we could come daily!!

Came to this cute little cafe on a rainy morning while staying at a hotel nearby. Service was prompt and pleasant. They even put an extra cup on my hot coffee to keep my hand from getting too hot. We enjoyed our drip coffee and iced cold brew.

Found this local coffee shop in the heart of old San Juan streets. I would highly recommend this place. You can purchase their coffee beans and flavored teas. They offer expressos, mochas, hot chocolate, cafe meals & pastries.
