The Cafe de Olla is different every time I have ordered. Very inconsistent quality. The staff (and owner) is very aloof and unfriendly to customers that are not "regulars". The baked goods are awful and poorly presented. They are not fresh baked daily and severed cold.

Cute little spot we had the iced cafe de olla 8/10 and my wife had the Myan coffee 10/10.

Every time I'm in the area I like to come in & support this local woman owned coffee shop. Today made me seriously reconsider any future visits. The latino tall skinny guy with glasses is incredibly hostile & condescending. I immediately wanted to cancel my order & run out the door. The environment is not friendly, warm or inviting when he's running the show. Do better.

Cute excellent coffee shop in Hinsdale. It’s in the alleyway but when I think of a morning panini or coffee i think La Fortuna rather than Starbucks. Definitely try this place out. Workers are friendly and you won’t regret spending your money here!

Good coffee, but service is so bizarrely unfriendly. It’s like they don’t want you there, despite them being nearly empty most of the time. I’ve visited 4-5 times, and experience is the same every time. The Starbucks around the corner, despite being the big company owned operation, has such a better personal, friendly touch. Exact opposite of what you’d expect. Management / employee culture issue.

The kindest coffee shop owners in the best community! You have to try the Mayan coffee, I’ve been getting it since 2014 and it never disappoints.

The best Americano I’ve had in a LONG time!! Truly tasty with so many flavors coming through, no acidity and was served VERY hot just the way I like it.

An oasis in the heart of Hinsdale offering a true community experience with coffee, conversation, and delicious pastries! You have to try their lemon bars and their Mexican Hot Chocolate; they are divine and the pastries taste freshly baked. We got married last month in town and wanted my favorite coffee shop to cater the coffee for the post-ceremony reception. Cafe La Fortuna provided delicious coffee that all the wedding guests loved! Thank you so much for being a part of our special day.

Decided to make the drive here because of the 4.7 star rating. First time here and left very dissapointed. Initially was going to get 2 coffees and 2 breads, but the guy at the cash register was cutting me off when ordering and was arrogant which made me reconsider spending my money here and instead, only bought 1 coffee. Para el señor cajero de esta mañana, si no disfrutas tu trabajo, busca otro. Tu actitud arrogante no es placentera. To the guy at the cash register, if you do not enjoy your job, please get a different job. Your arrogant attitude is not pleasant

Got a latte from there this past Sunday before they closed at noon. That's a little too early to close. The latte was fine. Haven't tried the food. The service was not that great. I guess they are too used to dealing with the wealthy Hinsdalians and their spoiled children. Fake and bitter, just like bad coffee. There is no seating except outside in the sun with no shade whatsoever. Maybe just go for the coffee and a sunburn, and pretend that you're a robot as you leave, because the place is not as conducive to community as it could be.

I needed to kill some time in downtown and I had never been in the area before. It so cute in the area, and it really seemed like I could walk around the block and find a coffee shop, or I would just loop back to the starbucks on the corner, but i wanted to find something local! The first few cafes really were more of a sit down diner type situation, so I saw the word Cafe on a sign up the hill and was absolutely DELIGHTED at what I found inside. Unfortunately the staff seemed annoyed with me for coming in. I felt like I interrupted something important and almost walked out because of how surprised they seemed to see me walk up. She didn't greet me, didn't ask what I wanted, just stared at me until I said 'I need a minute to look around because it's my first time in here'. I was impressed about the roaster machine in the corner, the amazing glass cold brew set ups in the back, and since I used to work at a small local roaster in Montana, I wanted to know more! I asked what the roast was for my Americano, and again, the response was super rude and condescending. I've spent the last 20 years working in retail food environments, and I felt almost too upset to even stay any longer. Honestly, the coffee didn't taste very good either now that I've tasted it. Even though I hate starbucks and hate supporting the company, at least the coffee tastes great. I'm super disappointed!

Great employees, great food, great everything. Their outside seating is gorgeous throughout the summer time. LOVE their iced and hot mayan coffee! Highly recommend. They go above and beyond for their customers, always! They have a variety of great options for everyone. This cafe is highly popular and busy, patience is key! :)

I’ve been coming here for a while and the coffee is terrific, however every time i come in the cashier is aggressive and unfriendly. I wish there was better service, so I could continue to come here, however this is something i cannot get past. If I am giving you my money everyday I expect at least friendly service. I understand everyone has bad days, but everyday?

The owner and her staff need to be trained on how to provide better customer service. We were greeted by the young lady working there, but she could have been friendlier. The batista barely said a word. It was my first time and it would have been nice to have someone explain all the unique products they serve.

Ok coffee. Coffee was not fresh. They warmed it up using steam from espresso. The chai from concentrate.

I love this place so much. It’s my favorite spot whenever we’re visiting my boyfriends family in hinnsdale. Their coffee is incredible and the breakfast sandwiches are homemade and so delicious. The women who work behind the counter are so great too, I love walking in, always a good vibe

At first, I thought, hard to find, it must mean a great place... The coffee IS fresh, and the service is good, but not posting that there is NOT seating inside is deceiving. Possibly, this is a temporary situation, but if not, you will not build a big base.

The coffee is amazing. When I am there the cashiers are either the nicest people or extremely condescending. It’s one extreme or the other. The cashier the morning of 10/28 is typically very condescending and aggressive.

One of the all time great coffee shops. The cold brew and Mayan coffee are particularly amazing, but the drip coffee and cafe de olla are great as well. Charming outdoor seating area.

I got two iced lattes. They were decent for a quick grab, but it wouldn’t be my go to coffee shop. Customer service was not good. The lady who took my order was very short and not friendly. An older lady who rung me up was very kind! Very cute shop with outdoor seating.

Anytime I’m in the area I always stop here to get an iced Mayan with almond milk. I stopped by here today before work to get my drink. I love the iced Mayan because it taste like chocolate but coffee. Today when I went, it wasn’t the normal girl who works there, which is fine the woman was super nice, but I hen I got to my car and took a sip of my drink it did not taste the same. IT WAS HORRIBLE and tasted watered down. And just plain coffee. Not how it normally tastes. I was crunched on time otherwise I would have gone back in and had her remake it for me. So I’m super upset about my experience today. Basically just wasted money to not even drink my coffee, and now I have to go else where for coffee during my shift at work.

Grabbed some coffee on the way to work and I wish I could say it was a good experience. My Vanilla Latte was okay, not great. My wife's hazelnut latte tasted awful. I would have gone back in to fix it if I hadn't been in a hurry. I'm not exactly sure what happened during my visit.

The hazelnut latte was disgusting. This was one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had. I took 2 sips and had to throw it out. Terrible experience.

Besides having great coffee, I love how sweet the baristas are! I always look forward to getting my morning coffee from here.

Great local coffee shop, much better quality than Starbucks around the corner. However, there is no indoor seating, which makes it hard for me to want to come back. Since I WFH, I like to go to coffee shops to do work on my laptop. I hope one day they expand or move to a larger Hinsdale location to be able to offer indoor seating

I love this little hole in the wall, or more accurately this coffee shop that is hidden away from the main street. If you’re just dropping by, there’s free 15 minute parking in front of it, or if you’re wandering around Hinsdale downtown it’s the tiniest detour. Coffee selection is excellent, I had a Mayan hot chocolate espresso that was to die for, also a grilled cheese because it was a comfort food day. It’s been around for 10 years, it’s locally owned it’s women owned what’s not to love?

Hard to find but we’ll worth it once you do. Super cute. Super friendly. Yummy pastries from two local bakeries.

This is a real coffee shop which imports and roasts their own beans in-house. It's not the generic, corporate-owned soulless experience that you can get anywhere.

We just stopped in while running errands in Hinsdale. I had the iced Mayan coffee and my fiancé had the cafe con leche with the biscotti. We loved both of the drinks and will definitely return to try the breakfast panini! The service was great and we got our coffees quickly.

An excellent cafe that stands out by roasting its own beans in shop. A perfect place to stop by if your waiting to catch your train.

You won’t regret going here, very clean and amazing staff at this location. The employees are so kind and drinks are always so delicious. I love their americano. It doesn't have that burnt coffee bean taste. And my americano was made in under a minute. Their bakery goods were nice, too. An Institution for coffee lovers and enthusiasts. They are masters at their craft with the most professional customer service. This particular location is warm and welcoming. Tables and chairs are comfortable and easily arranged. Music is soft and relaxing. Mostly because their staff is awesome! I would give this more stars if I could. I will be back soon.

I've been buying La Foruna's coffee beans that have been freshly roasted (they claim they roast small batches daily). Occasionally I will buy beans from other companies, but this little shop is my favorite! I've only had fresh coffee to drink at the cafe, so can't comment on the other menu items. I scratch my head wondering why people go around the corner to the Starbucks, when they could support a wonderful small business that freshly roasts their beans. Beware to people who see the Google map and see the Willowbrook location which has closed. This cafe is in downtown Hinsdale near the station.

Little coffee shop that's kindve hidden in the alleyway. Staff is courteous in my order. Pricing is great ($5 altogether) and tasted great. The old fashioned donut was my favorite. The espresso had a nice kick to it. Inside their is not a lot of room but outdoor seating is available.

A cozy downtown coffee shop with delicious drink and some food options. When I went, there was no indoor seating available, but it does look like they have space for some. I was able to enjoy my coffee just outside under a tent during the rain

I can’t drink plain Americano at all before, because most americanos are so bitter for me. but Cafe La Fortuna’s black and Americanos I can drink! Their coffee is so good and smooth and not bitter! I bought some coffee for my family ☺️

Their espresso blend is over roasted. I know they use good quality beans, but they could do better during the roasting process.

Would have rated it a 5 since they have a lot of allergy free options but they do not ask customers to wear masks. Not going back.

Great with children and food allergies ( so many milks to choose from). The Mexican hot chocolate is great and they carry gluten free and dairy free treats.

every cup of coffee here is made skillfully with love. mayan (hot) & chocolate croissants are a favorite. Staff is friendly & full of personality. Many loyal regulars come in and out and feels like a community. I'm in my 20s and this soon became my favorite spot in Hinsdale out of college!

wasn’t originally going to go here, but saw the reviews and figured, “hmm must be pretty good”. so i walked in and was immediately greeted with a very nice barista. we expressed it was our first time and we was willing to help us decide. i ordered a cold brew and a latte, both of which were of high quality. that, on top of the service makes me certain i’ll be back again.

Cafe La Fortuna is a small, out of the way coffee shop serving coffee and hot chocolate with a Mexican flavor added. It is delicious. I've been there 4 times over past several Autumn months to make sure this is one of my goto coffee shops while biking around the Chicagoland. Somewhere I read a headline calling La Fortuna a 'petite' coffee shop—it is and more—a selection of pastry and a breakfast and lunch menu. I've not tried the menu items as I found the coffee and hot chocolate to sufficient while bicycling South DuPage County,

This place is great convenient and cozy I highly recommend stopping by !
