The hangover cure was just what we needed before hitting the 4K footer. I appreciate a good fried egg in my sandwiches and the hash brown was a bonus. Coffee selection was good and there is plenty of seating indoors and out.

Adorable coffeeshop with a great selection of drinks and great baristas. There is seating available in the shop; it is inside of a small general grocery store with tons of other things you may need (drinks, snacks, wine, sweet treats).

Great coffee shop atmosphere! The service was fast and attentive. Lots of couches and tables to sit at. The coffee and espresso is amazing! I got a double shot cortado with skim milk. They have lattes, regular coffee, etc. They also carry a wide variety of beers and are almost like a corner store. Great walkable community and close to Plymouth! Also has outlets and wifi for working remote and plays a lot of indie/folk music. Good hangout spot. Great prices

Used to come here every day for coffee and a breakfast sandwich before my classes! It’s a great place to sit and have a conversation. I do kind of miss the smaller coffee station and that type of atmosphere but I totally understand why they changed it! It’s a great place for grabbing something on the go and there breakfast sandwiches are killer! The lattes are perfect and they have a variety of teas.

Great little convenience store and deli. It’s a perfect spot to grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee or get a sandwich for lunch. There is plenty of seating if you don’t want to take your food to go and they also have basic grocery supplies including beer and wine. This is a regular stop when visiting the area.

Very friendly place. Scott Peterson was incredibly helpful. He has this genuine, down-to-earth quality. Connected me to Firestone Walker 2015 Stickee Monkee which wasn't even on display on the shelf and I had been looking for years. I can't wait to drink it! Thanks.

The new floor layout was not conducive to the amount of customers and this was before the students returned to Plymouth. It really wasn't as busy as it will be and it was unclear where to stand to wait for food or for drinks. It is possible there were fewer employees due to the winter break and this made service slower and thus more people waiting...

We went to Cafe Monte Alto to buy coffee grounds. The manager was super passionate about the product and walked us through the different taste profiles of their specialty blends and brewed us a cuppa so that we could taste the coffee before we brought it. The staff were very friendly and we had a great time there. The cafe has a very cozy vibe. I’ll definitely be supporting this local store in the future also.

This is a wonderful little coffee shop that also has a convenience store aspect to it. It is great for picking up some quick snacks, getting a breakfast sandwich or lunch too. It is very quaint and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy at times with PSU students coming through to hang out, however, that's what you get with a college town. The mornings are best for quiet work time and the afternoons are more busy. Great little spot and I would highly recommend it.

The atmosphere was great, however a bit too crowded for me, although I could choose another time to go, aside from that, it's a must visit if you are new to the area.

The feel is a little different now under the new ownership. Food and drinks are still fantastic, but it's less cozy and very much louder inside. Harder to work or hear the person you are talking to.

Best breakfast sandwiches and coffee in the state.

I love this place for meeting friends or stopping for a latte to go. The lattes are drinkable right away, no need to wait for the espresso to cool. The counter help are friendly.

This was the 2nd stop on our Northeast Coast coffee tour. It was suggested by Kevin, the owner of Federal Inn. It did not disappoint! Me: “How many shots come in the large latte?” CMA: “However many you want…” Deal! 😂🙌🏻

The owner of the cafe is rude, and he gets in the staff's personal business. In addition, he left his staff, and customers in hot weather without an air-conditioner for weeks when the weather was hot and humid.

I needed both a breakfast and a lunch to go for my wife and me and they got all of them made up for quickly. It was person serving me that suggested to put the dressing for the sandwich on the side. That helped the sandwiches from getting soggy.

We love to go here regularly and get the coffee, tea and cocoa. The staff are really awesome and we love to sit in the windows on the fluffy leather couch and watch the people pass by. There's a warm, clean, cozy atmosphere and it's attached to a deli that has awesome sandwiches. There's a clean bathroom and gentle music. The walls feature local art for sale. If you're in the area, absolutely stop by and get a drink. They have mugs available for guests that sit and sip or paper cups and lids of you're heading out.

Walking in, we knew we hit the jackpot with the smell of delicious coffee wafting through the air. Super friendly staff at the counter, and the perfect Americano. A great stop, we’ll return again!

Wi-Fi doesn't work. Neither my phone or laptop could connect. Signal strength is full. Wall outlets are so worn plugs immediately fall out. Not a good place to get work done. ☹️

This is a very popular shop with everything from coffee to wine, sandwiches, snacks, you name it. They’ve got some outside seating, making it a great place to people-watch. Our first time here….enjoyed it.

Whenever I'm visiting the White Mountains region, I have to swing by Plymouth where I spent two fun but angst-filled years as a college student many moons ago. Cafe Monte Alto is a favorite stop. They have really good coffee. The few standout restaurants they had in Plymouth in my heyday were the diner (still there) and Anthony's Pizza (long gone).

As most people have already said. Super nice place. Really kind workers, always there to get your order correct. The place feels very cozy as well with it's decorations and rustic sort of feel in a way.

Great place, coffee is good but if you don't like it sweet tell them light of you get a flavor. It's a college town so I think they cater to the sweet coffee crowd. Otherwise definitely worth a stop for a coffee.

For the area you can't get better. The Chai was overly sweet and the capp was bitter. Micro foam was good but spooned on. I'd stick to drip coffee and you won't be disappointed.

Half of the wedding guests from the wedding I was in the day before showed up. I could tell they were surprised, but they reacted like pros and everything was great! All the food and drinks came quickly and were accurate.

First time I’ve been here, just was making a stop off the highway and this coffee slaps. Definitely a five star coffee! I got an iced double latte and it is the best coffee I’ve had in such a long time. Shop is cool and the atmosphere is nice. Would definitely go again! Also my ice cubes are frozen coffee, huge plus!

This gem was such a fabulous find! The coffee is rich and flavorful. They offer alternative milks and a variety of sizes. I hesitate to recommend the cold brew because it’s so GOOD and I don’t want them to run out! ❤️ seriously you’d be hard-pressed to find better coffee in North America. A must-visit every time we are in the area!

Relative to fancy coffees (which are usually expensive), the prices here are actually not bad. I got a dirty hot chocolate and it was wonderful, and my sister really enjoyed a chai latte. The place was a bit dirty, though. Empty tables were full of crumbs and trash, and two employees seemed to just stare at it (late night studying?). My cup also had spilled drink all around the sides of it.

This is by far the best place to go good cup of coffee or tea in the area The staff is friendly the prices are reasonable and their drinks are exquisite now mind you it's not over the top it's not flashing in any way Yes there are plenty of coffee shops elsewhere in bigger cities that could be considered much better but when you consider a location and convenience and everything else it really does make it an excellent place to relax to have a great drink and maybe meet a friend or two overall I would highly recommend going here if you're in the area

I don't know who is responsible for the cookies you sell, but kudos. I bought a peanut butter cookie on 6/16/2020 that was delicious. I've eaten a disgraceful amount of cookies in my life, and this one was the best I've ever eaten.

Top notch espresso cafe that can highly customize orders. The chai is awesome, plus you can make it dirty, which is a shot of espresso. They also have sugar free vanilla syrup for those who need to mask the coffee flavor.

Great cafe' stop on a long trip home. Funky with a wide array of high quality goodies and eats to go. Their Almond Milk lattes and hot cocoa are awesome. The service was above and beyond. With a lot of allergies, they were accomodating to look at the ingredients list to ensure they were safe treats. We'll definitely pop back in on our next trip up north.

Nice quaint little place in the middle of downtown Plymouth, the shop up on main Street sells wines,sandwiches,coffee, candies and small gifts, that sort of thing. Downstairs is sub and sandwich shop that sells all kinds of subs and some hot food nice local place to stop. Very popular with the local, definitely good place to stop and not too expensive

Nasty coffee taste like greasy dish water tasting coffee even with 3 spoons of sugar just not something I would let enter my stomach on any given day I make much freshly made coffee at home stay clear of this want to be nasty coffee house fake face front store.

Phenomenal; great drinks, helpful and friendly staff. Recently they helped sponsor a charity event and brought loads of free coffee for everyone in attendance. If you have tastebuds, you should go to Monte Alto.

Highly recommend getting a egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with Asiago bread. Hits differently.

The only place you should go to get coffee. It’s delicious, affordable and fast. There’s a thousand different things they can make you but the standard hot black coffee is where they shine. It’s strong, flavorful and they serve in mugs if you’re sticking around.

Cafe Monte Alto is a great place for wonderful hot and cold beverages, with added homemade muffins and slices of, for example, banana bread or zucchini bread. Whenever I get to the car, my husky makes sure she gets a goodie!

Ice cubes made of coffee, friendly and pleasant staff (even during a heat wave) and baked goods on deck. Nuff said. This place rocks. The coffee is delicious and there's all sorts of treats in the cafe to chose from.
