We love Cafe Old Vienna! The food is wonderful and the staff are very friendly! Every time we visit Myrtle Beach, we go to Cafe Old Vienna. It never ever disappoints.

Awesome. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area. We have been wanting to eat here since we moved to the area and we were not disappointed. The beer flight was great, veal schnitzel was great highly recommend

Was so hungry, googled some restaurants in the aria, found this German one.. ordered a veal schnitzel .. I ate the thing as I was so hungry, but the food was absolutely tasteless .. breaded schnitzel supposed to be tender and juicy inside and crispy outside.. mine was so plain, no crisp, no seasoning, breading soggy and sloffing off .. I guess you have to go to Germany to try a real german food .. but they fed me somehow and I am grateful for that

My favorite place to eat in Myrtle Beach! Authentic German/Austrian restaurant with quality food and beverages. You also receive the most bang for your buck compared to other overpriced restaurants in MB. Started off with a beer flight with all German & Austrian beers. Paulaner Hefeweizen earning my favorite pick in the flight. Tried my hardest not to fill up on the complimentary bread and butter. Ordered the "German Feast Single" for $24. Includes a starter Iceberg Salad w/ tomato, cucumber, bacon, sunflower seeds, and in-house dressing. After the salad you get a whopping plate stacked with spaetzle, a pork tenderloin schnitzel, knackwurst & bratwurst, home-made fries, and a healthy portion of red cabbage. Everything was on point! With all the food & beer, they basically had to roll me out. Amazing place to bring the family. Other notable observations: I believe they have live music some nights, a patio for outdoor seating, and a full liquor bar with cocktails and domestic bottled beer if you don't feel like exploring the European brews. Certainly give this place a try if you're hungry for late lunch or dinner in Myrtle Beach.

Excellent restaurant. If you like Germany cuisine I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Our waiter was also excellent. He explained how the meals prepared and gave suggestions. The atmosphere was very nice and clean.

This was our first time to Myrtle Beach and Cafe Old Vienna…Omg where do we begin..what a warm welcome; then our server Jeff arrived at our table with the knowledge of German food we had only hoped for! We both had served in the military at several German bases and what that delicious taste we remembered. We weren’t disappointed and in fact several dishes exceeded our expectations. Jeff made suggestions along the way to complement our meal…Spatan beer started my spouse off which was very close to German style, that was so good why not try a paddle sampler. Escargot had a delicious cheese and garlic sauce..fabulous, next cabbage rolls and pork yagerschnitzel to die first . Jeff dropped of a taster of their red cabbage and sour kraut…again best we’ve had. Of course you must have the strudel (we shared one) and took one home for later. My husband insisted on two pretzels for tomorrow….left the cafe stuffed. All reasonably priced at lunch menu prices. Decor is like any cafe in Germany. Lastly, we had a Service dog with us and no problems. If you love German food come here….it’s the best!

Great little hole in the wall off the main strip. Food and service were fantastic. Very nice German beer selection with the optional 34 ounce mug. The sausages, schnitzel, and pretzels are a must.

A gem of Mrytle Beach hidden in plain sight. It's so easy to be tricked into dining at sub-par restaurants in this town, so I'm glad my friends and I stumbled across this place while down here celebrating my birthday. The food and beer are both great, as is the service. The owner is Austrian and greeted me at the door. The decor is authentic, and the place feels like they care about the culture and history surrounding the food and drinks they are serving. My server was Serbian and brought a round of free shots of Serbian brandy to my table for my birthday. If you are in Myrtle and tired of terrible food, eat here. You won't be disappointed!

I would definitely recommend coming here for a lovely dinner. The food was pretty good with just one tiny suggestion…. My Jägerschnitzel had maybe one mushroom on it. The best thing about a Hunter’s schnitzel is that it’s smothered in mushrooms and dark gravy. The wait staff were all very friendly and prompt but a bit unsure about how to pronounce the Austrian dishes. The selection of food was pretty amazing and the desserts were top notch. Prices were pretty high but I understand this is a specialty restaurant. One staff member kept clearing our table as we were eating and asked if we wanted boxes in the middle of our meal so I felt we were getting pushed along a little too fast. Which is definitely not very Austrian or German. Long story short, it’s a great themed restaurant and worth a try.

Great food, especially the schnitzel

This hidden gem was recommended to us by a local while we were visiting from out of town. Service was excellent. Noah was our waiter and he was amazing - kind, attentive, gave great recommendations, and made the best margarita. The beer paddle was a really fun way to sample different options. The food was fantastic from appetizer through dinner and onto dessert! We cannot recommend enough for a unique dining experience while in Myrtle!!!

This is the second time I'm going to share with my family, in this wonderful restaurant where the quality-price ratio is spectacular. Excellent food, our server Keyla was very attentive, kind, she made us feel very satisfied to have found this place where the service, the music and the attire give the plus.

Great place. We are from Eastern Europe so having authentic schnitzel was a blast for us. Both pork and chicken ones tasted like home. We wish the sides were more German but we still enjoyed them. We tried the beer samples: great presentation and taste of authentic German beer. I really appreciate the staff dressing in traditional German clothing.

We (59 yr old couple) visited this restaurant on a Friday night around 630pm. Place is block away from MB (sky wheel area). It is not big but does offer inside and outside dining for approx. 100. The bar is very small with 7 seats and couple of HDTV’s. We have never eaten at German restaurant so weren’t sure if we were going to like it. So we decided to just go with an appetizer just in case it was not to our liking. We sat at bar as is our preference. Noah served us and did a great job. Full bar including 6 German/Austrian beers on tap. He was very informative at to what each beer they had on tap most compared to of some of the more popular beers. They also offer a sampler paddle (6oz each. $14) of all 6 which is what i opted for. Was good choice as 2 i would not drink a full beer, 2 were just ok and could drink, and 2 i liked. After his description my wife went for the King Ludgwig (think light lager). She liked it. We ordered the Sausage Sampler ($16) which was huge and filling. It was good. At that point just reading the meal descriptions and seeing the plates go past us out of the kitchen we knew there was no way we could eat a meal on top of what we already ate so opted not to eat dinner and decided we would come back for a meal in near future. Vibes is festive as a lot of family dining. An accordion player was on sited and got everybody doing sing alongs to popular accordion type songs. Place was 70% full the whole time we were there. Will definitely be back.

This was literally a case of “Honey, stop the car, it’s a German Restaurant”. We went with no reservations on a Friday at about 5pm and got in. The service was phenomenal, very attentive staff. The food was delicious, my husband has the pork shank, and I had the Jaeger Schnitzel. The house salad was superb, a basket of fresh baked bread and plenty of butter came too. Get the fresh made pretzel and beer cheese it was so good. We each had leftovers to take home. The live accordion music was a nice touch. I highly recommend.

Very authentic, staff very welcoming, some food probably not for everyone but the server answered all our questions with insightful replies, almost as if he knew we would want.

The coolest little spot and you better bring your appetite because they serving healthy portions of delicious food! We will be back!

This is one of best German style restaurants I've been to. The food is consistently great, and the service is ok too. I always love the goulash, the house salad dressing is to die for, and the desserts are amazing. You can aways count on a great selection of German beers as well.

The restaurant decor is a little dated. Food portions were large. Accordion player was nice. I’m not sure how authentic the food is. I know the owners are from the German region. My mom and Oma meals were a little different but overall we enjoyed the meals. Oh. I really enjoyed the beer sampler.

I treated my family to a dinner here. My wife and I visited this place a few years ago, and I loved it. I am a big fan of German food, and this place did not disappoint. I have to comment on the service first. I originally made a reservation (which is highly recommended) for 5:30, but because of traffic issues, we were going to be late. I called beforehand and tried to push back our original reservation, but nothing was available. I informed them we would be late. They called at 5:45 to make sure we were still coming, and we were able to keep our table. I know that is very long-winded, but I just wanted to say how accommodating they were with me and my party. Everyone loved their food. We each got a different type of schnitzel (I got the almond chicken). My chicken was cooked perfectly. I have had authentic German schnitzel in Germany, and it is nearly identical. The same can be said about the spatzel. The chicken tasted good, but i did not taste the amlond. I think I would have preferred the regular breading. The same can be said about the spatzel. We did order the potato cakes for the table. They were the only thing that were a little disappointing. They did not seem to be cooked fully. They were stull good, but they could have been a little crisper. The atmosphere is completely immersive. The paintings and decorations around the restaurant make you feel like you are in a southern Bavarian village. They also had a live accordion player playing traditional German songs.

We love German food. This place did not disappoint! There was a kids menu which may put a damper on the authenticness but it's awesome when you don't want to enjoy your dinner and not deal with your picky eaters nonsense. BUT, my kids actually loved the knackwurst so that was a nice win. Jeff was our server and he was so attentive and made great recommendations. The entire menu was reasonably priced and portions were plentiful. Our favorite German restaurant is Zum Stammich in Queens NY, but this was a very closer runner up MUCH closer to home!

Amazing place. My wife and I have eaten at the German restaurant in Epcot, and this one blows that one away. I had Jager Braten with spatzel and brown gravy. It was my favorite thing in Myrtle beach. My wife, who doesn't like German food, had the Parmesan Chicken Schnitzel and it was the only meal that she ate all of. Highly recommended.

We've been 4-5 times in 9 years. Went last night and it is still fantastic! Good German beer, excellent service, outstanding food. The portions were so large we both brought home leftovers for lunch today. They also were able to accommodate my wife's dairy allergy. Make a reservation!

We discovered this restaurant a few yrs ago and make sure to visit every time we’re here on vacation. Jeff was our server this time and he was very friendly, efficient and on top of drink refills. Made suggestions like the new Pretzel and Beer Cheese, which was excellent. We always have a filling, amazing meal here. Reservations strongly recommended! Lively atmosphere Salads, soups, entrees etc all come out well timed.

Love the German and European restaurants. To find one in MB was awesome. Their food is soooo good. Chef knows his stuff. No complaints at all.

I had my first German meal here and enjoyed it very much.

We have been coming here for 4 years now. The food is the closest I have ever had to an authentic German meal. It is very good. What really bothered me with our meal tonight was I asked for extra gravy with my Sauerbraten dish and it was a small separate little cup, (maybe 2 tablespoons worth) which they charged me $1.75 for!! I’m sorry, that is totally outrageous!! I have asked for extra gravy in the past and was never charged for it! Not what you do to keep your locals coming back 🤨

The accordion guy was not there was very disappointed. They did not list that on their site he is only there mon, weds, friday the waitress said. Boooooo

Spaetzle was the size of elbow macaroni which was something I'm not used to, but everything else with the exception of the knackwurst was near authentic and tasted good. Knockwurst was different from how I'm used to having it prepared. Had the red cabbage and sauerkraut which were okay. Portion sizes are huge. Had to take half home for lunch tomorrow. Atmosphere did not bring back any memories. Seating is tight but they offer both inside and outdoor seating. Not very crowded so the hostage caught me off guard when she asked if we had a reservation. No we didn't. So she says let me see if I can find you a table. A little funny as when we walked through the dinning room half the tables were empty and remained that way when we left. The outside area was about 90% vacant. Not sure I'd returned since I more partially to the other MB German restaurant. But hopefully you'll enjoy as it wasn't a bad meal. Just looking for something more authentic.

Cafe Old Vienna is such a delightful restaurant with amazing service. They serve up authentic German cuisine! I have loved every dish I have gotten there but I will say the grilled pork belly is a must try! You won't leave hungry or disappointed. 5 stars!

This place was amazing! I have a gluten/wheat allergy and they provided me with a separate menu entirely. The food was so good and the atmosphere was calm and homey. The server even provided us with free shots to celebrate our graduation. Would definitely recommend.

Very enjoyable visit. We went for Happy Hour and were not disapointed. Shared some sausage bites and the schnitzel bites. They each come with a yummy soft pretzel stick and dipping sauce. Added some german potato salad, goulash soup and spaetzle to make a great meal for two. Add in some great German beer and it makes for a great night.

Cafe Old Vienna is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere this side of Germany. The authentic dishes are delicious, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is fun. We always enjoy the music. COV is a great place for family and friends, and is always on our list when we’re in town.

Another year, another must-visit to this excellent German restaurant. Once again we enjoyed the joyful accordian player accompanying the meal. The music adds a happy beer hall feeling, to this chalet-style wood-centric facility. Our server was friendly and attentive. As we've done before; we shared the bountiful and tasty German Feast for Two: wiener schnitzels, bratwurst, knackwurst, spatzle, red cabbage, fried potatoes, sauerkraut and salads (with plenty leftover for satisfying later meal/snacking). We ended the feast with sharing some delightful apple strudel. To augment our leftovers, slices of the wonderfully indulgent Vienna chocolate cake and Sachertorte also accompanied us back to the resort. Our only regret, this year, was that we failed to make a second visit here, before leaving the area (so many great restaurants, so little time). Already looking forward to next year's return.
