Cafe Pasqual’s in Santa Fe, New Mexico was AMAZING! So many shops, galleries and dispensaries nearby. This place was super popular but very small. Staff was friendly and food was so flavorful! Wait was about 30 mins, we went to the art galleries to kill the time. Watch parking, we got a $45 ticket for parking in front of the restaurant. Watch parking zones for sure! Super cute area great food! #santafe #cafepasquals @#breakfast #NewMexico #travel #food #foodietiktok #goodie

Overall I was disappointed in my visit. The atmosphere is bustling but since it's such a small space, it was overwhelming and hard to hear. The food unfortunately came out fairly cold, the chile relleno wasn't crispy, and the rest of the food wasn't what I thought it would be based on reviews. Maybe it was just bad timing! I just don't think that it was worth the nearly $200 ticket for two. I would recommend getting some baked goods from the front desk though!

We came for dinner. It’s pricey for what it is but that’s expected in this area. Nice restaurant and we had a solid, friendly server. I don’t mean to be harsh, but the food is just fine. It’s like suburban “Latin inspired cuisine” with mid portions rather than anything truly great. My wife got a dish with rice and it wasn’t fully cooked, hard/dry, which was pretty disappointing. Get the impression it’s probably solid for breakfast.

Has always been our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Don’t know what happened! Food took FOREVER to get. Had to send 2 entrees back because they were not hot. 2 entrees were wrong. Mole sauce was excessive. Quesadilla was tasteless. Chile Rellanos were oily. Squash blossom appetizer was nothing but a glob of cheese fried. Used to be beautiful presentation and delicious. Not tonight. Could not get drinks, Drink orders were not correct. Had to pull teeth to get ice. Service was awful and we had 2 wait persons, a trainee and trainer. What happened???

I know good food. I lived in Europe for 13 years and in too many Michelin starred restaurants to count , and I am a cordon bleu trained amateur cook. I have been to this very popular restaurant many times through the years, as we usually stay at the St. Francis. I have really tried to like it. I find it consistently overpriced, and the food is consistently… Weird. Plus, three of our four entrées were served Luke warm. And $19 for a glass of white wine? That is just plain price gouging. And it’s horribly loud.

Pasquale has been a 30 year favorite, no longer. My dinner companion and I shared the house special stuffed squash blossoms. Too much cheese stuffing rapidly cooled or never heated was bland goo. Next shared were tamales steamed in banana leaves. Stuffing was a bean beef mixture so dry it could have been a jerky. My mission fig salad was beautifully plated but failed the menu hype Will not be returning.

Honestly - didn't get to eat here. We attempted to, not knowing that you should have reservations on a Sunday evening. Turns out, you do. The hostess was nice enough but we were slighted by another customer who came in behind us and told us that she "had reservations " and acted appalled that we wanted to speak to the hostess before her (even though we were next?). Seemed quite snobby and if that's the vibe and clientele, then no thanks.

I’d heard the word, Pasqual is a special place. On Wednesday morning last week I found out for myself that it is indeed superior to all of the Santa Fe restaurants I’d visited (4 during my 3 night stay). Service was inquisitive and well versed in the story, the menu, they shared interest in our experiences in the neighborhood. The coffee was on point, served early and maintained hot & full. The corn pancakes served with mole, syrup and arbol chili puree were ethereal. All of our dishes well prepared and distinctive, each ingredient specific, colorful, delicious. We visited the Pasqual gallery above the cafe after our meal and found that experience interesting and authentic as well.

Probably the most over-rated place I’ve been to. I went for breakfast. I had been wanting to go for a few years!! There was a 45 min wait on a weekday morning. I ordered the machaca seca. I received what is to this day the smallest portion of food I’ve ever paid $25 for. There was maybe one egg mixed with the beef seca. Some black beans and 3 corn tortillas. The food was extremely bland. Even the salsa had zero heat. I left hungry and completely unsatisfied, and $25 poorer. No need to ever return.

This was probably one of our favorite places that we got to eat in Santa Fe. The food and overall experience was really good. I can see why it’s so highly rated on most sites. Food wise we both got the Crisped Breakfast Burrito ($21) and an order of the Sourdough Toast ($5). I did chorizo in mine and I’m not sure if that was what made it spicey or the sauce but it was good. If you’re not good with spice might stay away with chorizo. My wife got bacon in hers. Personally I liked the chorizo better. The Sourdough Toast was a great way to finish it off with something a little sweet. We got really fortunate table wise. We got a booth all to ourselves. You have to get here early. It seems like it’s constantly packed. I will say this, it’s definitely worth the wait. Service was pretty good. It was busy so gotta give them a little pass. She was super nice. Parking lot wise, use the public lot that’s called Santa Fe I believe. It’s uncovered and the address is 100 E. Water St. That’s how you’ll know you have the right one. It’s literally right across the street so super convenient if you can park here. We actually parked here that day and walked around to a lot of things. It was only $12 for the entire day vs the street parking you’re limited to 2hrs. Make sure you visit this place. You’ll be glad you did.

If you want a true Santa Fe experience Cafe Pasqual's is a must. The restaurant is small and intimate, busy, and colorful. The aesthetic of the place is idyllic. I went for my 40th birthday. The servers are very friendly and professional. We made reservations and were seated promptly. We started off with the grilled corn which was delicious and the stuffed squash blossom with ricotta and chorizo, which was also delicious. My husband got the lamb chops which were really small and not filling. If it was that small the sides should have bulked it up more. I got the chile relleno which was excellent and always my go to order for most restaurants I eat at. I don't drink alcohol but I was happy to see there were mocktails! I got a mocktail for $6, and my husband got a margarita for $19. This place is for special occasions and quite expensive, but I understand since the real estate, and operation requires a lot. Dessert we got toffee chocolate cake, peach cake. Big dessert portions.

This is a great place to go when a group can't decide on what kind of cuisine to get, as they have a fairly international menu in addition to the New Mexican staples. So one person can get the New Mexican mixed plate, as my husband did, and another can get the Thai style fish at the same time, as I did. The restaurant is on the tiny side, so you really need reservations, and the tables are fairly tight. If you are driving here, there is a public parking lot across the street.

We had dined at Café Pasqual's about 10 years ago on our first trip to Santa Fe. It was the best meal of our trip back then, so we were beyond excited to eat here again, and celebrating a birthday no less. From the very first interaction, our server was unfriendly and cold. It was kind of shocking as we hadn't even spoken to anyone yet and the server acted like he was not happy with having us as customers. He did not greet us or make us feel welcome at all. When he took our drink orders and walked away, my husband looked at me with a puzzled look on his face wondering what we might have done to receive such a cold reception. Not too long after that, another staff person asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and when we said yes, a birthday, he sprinkled our table with birthday glitter. Our server never made any mention of it, despite our table being obviously covered in glitter. We had finished our cocktails and starter and our server asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We asked to see the wine list again to select a bottle. We did so in a timely manner, relayed our selection, and then we didn't see him again for another 30 minutes. I am not exaggerating. Well, wait a minute, we did "see" him serving literally every other table around us that had come in after us, some of whom were already getting their entrees while we sat there with empty glasses and dirty plates in front of us. He kept avoiding eye contact with us and my husband literally had to flag him down to check on the bottle of wine. He became very obviously annoyed and stated brusquely that he couldn't find the bottle of wine we had ordered and that is why he had been gone for so long. At the same time this conversation was happening, our entrees were delivered to the table and he asked if we'd like to see the wine list again to select something else. This would have been useful about 20 minutes prior but no, now that our entrees are sitting in front of us, no we don't want to order a bottle of wine that probably wouldn't even come until after we were done with our entrees. Mind you, there were no apologies for the delay, in fact he acted quite put out like our wine selection had inconvenienced him. We started noticing that the tables that had been seated after us were settling up and leaving and we had barely just gotten our entrees (and no wine to enjoy them with). Then our server just disappeared altogether, never to be seen again. At this point, we were so upset and felt so absolutely UNWELCOME at Café Pasqual's that we hurried and ate most of our meal and asked for the check (had to flag down yet another server since ours had gone MIA). Didn't even bother with dessert on a birthday, although there was no offer of it anyway..... We couldn't get out of there fast enough. I don't even really remember the food, but I do remember having to fork over $150 for such a lousy experience. As went to leave, I mentioned to the person at the host stand by the front door that we had absolutely terrible service that evening and they said that they were sorry to hear that. And that was that. I don't typically leave one-star reviews but this experience was so bad. Over two weeks later, I'm still upset about it. We dine out frequently and have traveled all over the world and this was probably one of the worst servers we've ever had, especially at this price point.

We waited to get in and experience this restaurant, however I was completely underwhelmed with the meal. I had a pork dish that came served in a banana leaf. The presentation was nice, but the quality and taste was nowhere close to the representation on the menu. My Cochinita was dry and difficult to eat. It had no citrus flavor that was advertised in the menu. My corn tortillas were dried and hard. Pathetic considering the entree had a $43 price tag. The place is cozy, huge demand so you will have to wait around 45-1 hr to get in. Heard lots of great things. Service was great. Huge menu. We ordered several items, a ceasar salad, with a in house sauce. Heavy on the anchovies flavor. Has a purée of avocado which does nothing for the taste.. it was not good. Ordered carne asado tacos. NO SEASONING at all. No salt no pepper no nothing. It was a wonderful cut of meat and cooked to perfection, had no flavor. I imagine the clientele keeps them from being bold. But for $90 I would have gone somewhere else. I don’t care about the decor if the food isn’t great. I hear the breakfast is one of the best. But none of us ordered that. We came here yesterday for the first time. Super busy, staff was very friendly, but its very crowded for seating since it’s a small room. We sat at the community table with other diners. Awesome menu, mock tails, especially the cucumber chiller, were incredible. Shrimp cocktail was divine. I had the asada stacked enchiladas smothered in tomatillo salsa. Great flavor, but there was very little steak and the salsa packed a very big heat punch. It was a sustained level of fire in my mouth, almost too much for me, personally. I couldn’t really enjoy the food because of it. Im not typically sensitive, if you are, get it on the side. Tortillas were pretty soggy. My husband loved the chicken mole enchiladas. I don’t think it fully lived up to a $105 bill, but maybe our menu selections were off.

It's not easy to say that you've possibly eaten the best Mexican food ever when you've lived in Texas and Arizona for over 20 years, but.......this restaurant is amazing! It is an absolute must if you ever visit Santa Fe. If the line out the door in 30° weather doesn't tell you everything, the food, drinks, and service will do the rest.

We got in because of a last minute cancellation. And we were rewarded with a fabulous dinner. The savory seedy crackers at the table when we sat down set the tone of deliciousnesses as they were supposed to. The mock ‘mule’ cocktail, martini, and local brew moved us along to entrees of plato supremo, arctic char, and tofu Thai noodle bowl. All pronounced excellent. In the plato supremo the mole enchilada starred followed closely by the carne asada and the chili relleno. Desserts excellent too as we sampled pie and poached pear desserts.

Best meal we had in Santa Fe. It was expensive, but delicious. Great food, great drinks, great service. Worth it. Lots of vegetarian choices. It's a zoo: you definitely need a reservation. Dinner opened at 5:30 and it was a huge line of people, all with reservations, waiting to get in, Next time we come, we might plan to arrive a little late since it seemed pretty silly to wait in line just cause everyone was hyped. But the meal was great. Fresh organic produce cooked perfectly. Great sauces. All good. We'll be back!

I just visited Santa Fe for the first time to attend work conference. I was thrilled to grab a seat at Cafe Pasqual's one afternoon for a late lunch and it did not disappoint. The stacked enchiladas (Christmas, of course, IYKYK) were amazing and the served me the most delicious black beans I have ever eaten in my life. It may be tough to get in as it is a small restaurant, but I would go back every single day. What a delightful eatery!

Mystery solved- why this restaurant has such high rating?? Because it’s just simply good! Warm and friendly service with the best Christmas burrito I’ve ever had. Authentic and delicious! The interiors are beautiful and very New Mexico style. Would come back again for their breakfast!

Amazing food. We tried few dishes and liked them all. Plantain chips with a spread. Pear salad is well balanced. We shared the sampler plate for the main to try more dishes. It's spicy but really great. The meat was nice and tender. Mole souce was well balanced. Pine nuts ice cream for desert was unusual and interesting. Definitely great place for somebody looking for a creative food.

Tight quarters and had to wait long for a table. Make dinner reservations or you'll be out of luck.

Very cool eatery. Creatively decorated and vibrant atmosphere. Food was excellent and unlike anything we have come across so far. More expensive than our usual choices but well worth it for a treat

Small restaurant with southwestern cooking. Lots of flavor in their food. I had the Blue Lady Enchilada with both red and green chilies. We also had the half sandwich, soup, and salad.

While walking near the plaza, we spotted Pasqual's. We didn't have a reservation (you should make one) but they were able to accommodate us in a communal table with a few other people, which we were totally open to and it was a pleasant experience. We ordered the Catalana, and let me tell you, it was outstanding! We also ordered the cochinita, which was a bit overcooked, not as tender yet good. The ambiance is definitely worth the experience with lots of color and southwest folklore!

Visited Pasqual’s from out of town twice during our stay - once for lunch & once for dinner. For lunch, I ordered the Chochinita Pibil Tacos. They were 10/10. Juicy & flavorful. We also had amazing service. The evening experience was not as welcoming. My partner ordered a wine (because he’s on strict dietary restrictions for medical reasons) while I ordered a chicken & veggies plate. The staff were not happy to learn he only ordered a drink & made it clear that in the future, he can only come if he also orders food. It set a negative, uppity tone. Also the chicken meal was extremely basic. I think I was given 4 small green beans & overall the dish lacked flavor. AND it was almost double the price of lunch. We’ll be back - but only for breakfast / lunch

Wow!! Talk about great food and atmosphere. I would recommend the Durango Omelette, it was amazing. My wife had the Huevos Barbacoa (I snuck a couple of bites of it) and it was delicious as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

The food was off the roof pricey, which is fine to pay if it’s worth it. Sadly paid hefty on an appetizer and with bland hashbrowns and small portions. The experience set a very underwhelming tone after the food arrived. The menu is crafted with no consistent theme but flavors all around which was confusing. I hope they cater to regular consumers than the pretentious. Great people work here.
