My Favorite Neighborhood Italian Restaurant I've become a regular here due to the quality food, affordable prices and very friendly service. Real pizza slices with real cheese. The penne with vodka is good if you're in the mood forsomethingo fancier. The chicken cheesesteak with grilled onions, peppers and sauce has become my regular order. The bar area is small, but usually active.

I grew up in this restaurant, watched it change owners and names! My mom worked there , I have as well!! And I have not found an Italian restaurant that can beat them.. moved to slower lower and the Italian food not the same.. this is THE BEST FAMILY ITALIAN RESTAURANT U CAN FIND!! Very bad experience! We waited a long time for food. They forgot to make my wife's food and to top it off, the food was terrible. Additionally, the prices did not match the menu.

Interior needs a good cleaning. The shelf the cold/old pizza sits on 🤢. Door needs a little paint & windows need a wiping. The lighting, maybe for ambiance are low, it actually amplifies the cleanliness opportunities. Alright? Enough beating these folks up. They have REAL MOZZARELLA STICKS!!! If you are following me you know how I feel about this… If you are an Italian or Pizza place you need to have these, if not it’s sacrilege. The sticks themselves were not great, if you were to put a gun to my head I would say the oil needs to be changed. With that said the Marinara was excellent!!! I would bathe in it, js. The cheeseburger sub came with fries a plus but due to take out packaging they were gross. Another take away for restaurant owners, fried foods should never be sealed up. Put them in an open bag & make them last. Finally, we are at the end of probably my most colorful review (I’m in a mood), the sub itself was ehhhh. Take note!!! Season the meat before cooking (salt & pepper), then season the sub after built (oregano, salt & pepper), this will make you the best pizza shop in the block!!!

So so food. I've had better. I've had worse. It was a large portion. Light on the sauce and not heated thru. Probably shouldn't have chanced eating it but I didn't get sick. Fee associated with credit card which is only posted when you pick up. I don't like using cash at restaurants. Too easy to not report

Not enough help. Ordered a pizza it was burnt waitress didn't do anything for us. Normally it's very good but I guess a bad night for everyone.

It was fine…nothing really special. Our server was very nice. Veal was good but sauce was kind of watery. Odd atmosphere is the best way to describe it. Fair prices and great garlic rolls (looks like the garlic rolls are everyone’s favorite). Salad had shredded romaine which was kind of weird/hard to eat. Soup was decent. Nothing really setting them apart from any other little Italian restaurant. Probably won’t go back but only because I’d rather try some other places. Best word to describe the experience would be “meh…”

We were visiting from out of town, my three boys with my husband and I. I can’t tell you how much we loved the garlic rolls, calamari and pizza! 🍕 This will be a place we road-trip to!

place needs updating- changed menu, not sure when. asked for extra garlic on food…didn’t even get any garlic. fries still kinda raw, hamburger on pizza is cut up meatball’s 🤮. white pizza is awful. no ricotta, no tomatoes, no garlic, minimal cheese. need to clarify each order when taken. s/w guy who seemed like he had no clue what was going on around him. not sure what is going on, but this place is done. i won’t be back. things are too expensive these days to get bad food and be ok with it

We walked in at 1:00pm and the owner was already drunk. Ordered two greasy slices of pepperoni. I thought I paid for them both but he mistakenly only charged me for one slice so I had to pay again for the second slice. The pizza came out and all the napkins in the world couldn’t soak up this grease. He asked me how my pizza was and my response was “not very good”. Instead of seeing what he could do to help, he turned his back with a smirk like he already had my money so I was SOL. Won’t be back.

Great food, great service, just great. The Food was amazing, I got the Capellini Carbonara. My friends got the Antipasto Salad, and Chicken and Penne in Alla Vodka Sauce. The portions size also allowed us to take some home. Which was also great.

Love this place. Love the sausage pizza, the California Wrap (again and again), and the crabcakes are perfect.

Gave a huge oily loaf of bread with the to go order which was delicious. Authentic italian cuisine (trust me, I would know), chicken cacciatore was good, chicken rose was tasty as well. calamari was solid, came with a house made marinara which was great.

The food was fabulous!! The fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti & meatballs & the Stromboli were all worth coming back for! Loved the garlic knots too!! The service was excellent!!

We have been going here a long time, within the past year every time we go we wonder why. Quality has gone down significantly. Our regular items we would get aren't as good and prices have gone up with portions going down with over all quality.

Absolutely awful. The sauce was watery and bland. The garlic knots were cold and hard as cement. Way too over-priced as well, spend your money elsewhere.

We ordered garlic knots. I have ordered these in the past from this restaurant. What we got was puffy dinner rolls with alot of garlic. while they were ok for what they were, they were NOT garlic knots. really disappointed.

There may be a very good Italian restaurant hidden inside this pizzeria. I got the special cheesesteak, peppers, onions & mushrooms. I liked the flavor of the meat in my cheesesteak, the slice of sausage pizza I ate while waiting for my cheesesteak and the bar with a sign that read ‘$3 Yuengling drafts.’ I’m sorry I got peppers on my cheesesteak. Even at $13.90 the cheesesteak was a touch small. The roll was a mess. The cheesesteak was a miss but I think there may be a very good Italian restaurant hidden inside Cafe Valentina. The Owner’s appear to be real Italian’s, my cheesesteak meat had great flavor, great sausage on my slice, prices are good, a steady flow of regulars getting ‘to go’ orders and they have a bar.

Our favorite spot to get takeout (or eat in). My kids love it. Family owned and they’re always wonderful when we go in. We love it!

We've been to Cafe Vanentina 3 times now. Twice for pizza and tonight for dinner. Good pie. Good menu. Lots to choose from. I went tonight specifically for some of my favorite Italian go-to foods. Cafe Valentina did not disappoint. Wedding soup to start. Definitely homemade and rustic with a flavorful parmesan broth. Next was a Caesar salad. Good, but should have been tossed in the dressing, not just ladled on it. Then the Italian antipasto and a glass of Montepulciano. This is what I came for! Fresh mozzarella, sharp provolone, prosciutto, roasted red peppers, bruschetta. With their towering garlic bread. Feeling pretty good right now. Then my entree, veal saltimbocca with spaghetti in buttery Marsala sauce. Two big pieces of thin and tender veal with prosciutto and sage and cheese. And another glass of the Montepulciano. Yeah, I'm doing alright. Didn't eat all the pasta because, well, dessert. A cannoli and a nice pour of DiSaronna amaretto finished a quite satisfying meal on a random Wednesday evening. And, of course, our service was great. Our son's friend's mom, Missy, had a handle on this small dining room like the seasoned pro that she is. I don't know why we haven't been here more. I will update this review because this is definitely a place that has preserved its ranking through the years! I absolutely hate that the rolls were drenched in oil on the outside, and super dry and borderline stale on the inside. Honestly feel bad leaving such a bad review for a local small business. We did not try the pizza, just entrees, and 40$ later we wound up so upset with our meals that we just threw them away. Traveling from out of state to find a great pizza shop, I came across Cafe Valentina off a suggestion from family in the area. I loved it!
