Fantastic authentic Italian cuisine, well worth the price. Eating my pasta, then my tiramisu with a shot of espresso, I was temporarily back in Italy. As a bonus, in the background, I loved hearing the pizza guys making the dough and slapping it as they spun it and shaped it.

At the front it says “fine Italian dining”… Not sure by what standard that statement is based off of, but in my opinion it was anything but that. Food was subpar and the service was somehow even worse. Definitely not somewhere I’d try twice.

The ABSOLUTE best Italian restaurant in the Central Florida area as far as I am concerned. I started going to the original location in Ocoee back in 1993. I moved away from FL and when I came back in 2015, I was so excited to find that Pasquale had opened his location in Apopka. His cousin owned the original one. My fiancé is a chef and Italian. This is the only place we will go for pizza and pasta. Pasquale and Antonio are the best. The staff is so caring and the bartenders ROCK!!!!! Best Espresso Martini in town. Love love love Positanos!!!!!

Restaurant states Fine Italian dinning, unfortunately my grandmother would be embarrassed if she ever ate at a place like this claiming to be fine Italian dinning. Ordered penne a la vodka with grilled chicken , dish was bland, no flavor and sauce was watery, worst part chicken was FAKE! I had to remove all the fake chicken from the dish. Nothing fresh or fine dinning about this dish! Chicken was chewy and you can tell it was frozen chicken from a bag not fresh made grilled chicken. If I wanted fast food I would not have gone to a place like this that claims to be fine dinning. Pizza crust was nice and thin sauce was ok, cheese a little off my youngest that loves pizza only ate the crust and refused to eat the pizza so that says a lot. People were nice that’s why giving 2⭐️ unfortunately food was not anything amazing to return or refer anyone. Overpriced for a lunch special dish that was 🥴 with fake chicken and a pie. Would not recommend or return.

I went to the one located near altamonte fl, I got the angel hair pasta with chicken and shrimp and let me say that it was just so disgusting. I also got the pizza and it was just awful. It was a complete waste of $50

First time to Positano, had great experience. Had Veal gorgonzola with veggies and mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh with ample portions. Will be visiting again.

Born and raised in NY this is the absolute best Italian food in central Florida. If anyone tells you this is not NY quality - they are lying. Everything I’ve had off the menu I have enjoyed. My personal favorite is just a large plain hot pie. I had a small event here (35 people) and it was perfect! The food, the people working the event and the price were unbeatable. Cannot say better things about this place. I live 30 min away and I happily make the drive for this food!! 10/10

Good evening. I just left from here with a group of people. We went as a late father's day celebration and let me say that the customer service was absolutely awful. Our group waited for more than 20 minutes because Chad the waiter was busy having personal time and conversation with another table. My nephew never got his to go box. One of us had to ask for the check because of all the waiting and no attention that our party of 5 never received. We were just waiting and waiting and had none of us not said anything who knows we might still be there waiting for the check. This review is strictly about the service we received from Chad.

Took way too long and the food was not good. Totally regret trying this place. I hate paying for sub par food, this was that experience.

I had forgotten to take the picture of the main entree however, both of us ate everything on the plate. Atmosphere was great. Service was outstanding. Ambiance was also really good. It's a great deal for the lunch late lunch crowd as this will be my go-to place for that. Highly recommend I will be back. Update: 06/11/24 - first the service food and atmosphere remain the same as we go to this location at least twice a month for the past several months. Still receives five stars in every category. On this trip we did thank the owner for the generous offer for a free drink but refuse due to ethics standards for myself.

Stopped by this family-owned Italian restaurant for lunch. Nice wine selection, service and delicious scratch-made food. Will return. Well worth the drive up from Orlando.

I've been coming here for about 25 years now. Some are the same friendly faces with the original owners. I love bringing my friends and family for their birthdays or just because. I always get this off the menu pizzetta bruschetta while dining or just a quick pick up surprise for the fam. Mine, my parents and my BFF favorite pizza ever! Everything is always fresh and delicious. Buen provecho!

OMG! the service we got from Brandy and Antonio was spectacular! We used gift cards but tipped them very well in cash ( I hope) bec they deserved it. Food was awesome and we were 4 people who got 4 diff things AND apps AND desserts!

We were spending the weekend in the area and randomly chose Caffe Positano for dinner. Not sure what to expect at 7:30 on a Friday night. What a pleasant experience. It was quite busy, but we were seated within 3 minutes. Lee Ann's service was spot on. The eggplant parmesan was delicious. Tha sauce had just a hint of sweetness and no acid taste. The manicotti with alfredo sauce was excellent. My wife said that it was the best alfredo she's ever had. It was smooth not grainy like most others. The highlight of the evening was watching the entire staff work together to make everyone feel special. From host to wait staff to kitchen to servers to bus staff to management to was like watching a choreographed ballet. It was a great experience. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

A wonderful locally owned restaurant with beautiful original art throughout that I was told was painted by the owner. The food was so good I forgot to get pictures! The dinner rolls were obviously from scratch, and delicious. Great wine menu, and the espresso martini was one of the best that I have had. Dog friendly, and a great patio area as well!

Spaghetti and sausage was about the worst I've ever had. A frozen meal from the supermarket would have been better.

Amazing food and service. Came in for two lobster rolls which were AMAZING. They gave us a sample of lobster bisque soup and we poured it over our roll. SO GOOD! Everyone was friendly checked on us while we were eating. Can’t wait to come back!

We visited for lunch on a Saturday to use up a gift card we had. We ordered pepperoni pizza and a Greek salad to share between the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children). The pizza was great, and our kids devoured it! The salad was good and tasted vey fresh but not like any Greek salad I've ever had. It had carrots and cucumbers and no meat, so I thought it was very different from my expectations. The complimentary bread they bring to the table is so good and we always eat 2 pieces each...it's hard to stop ourselves! We had great service, and our visit was as good as it always is!

My sister and I ate lunch at Cafe Positano on the recommendation of a friend. The food was excellent and our server (Maddie) was awesome. I had an American stromboli and my sister had penne vodka. Best we've had... and don't get me started on the NY cheesecake- to die for! We will definitely be back soon!

Everything was outstanding, as always. First, how quickly they made room for us on a very busy holiday was quite impressive. Second, the cocktails were tasty. I loved the twists on Mimosas; mine was raspberry flavored. Yum! Third, the food is cooked exquisitely. All the dishes had a wonderful flavor, and my chicken practically melted in my mouth it was so tender. Last, but far from least, Christopher, our server, was friendly, attentive, and paid attention to detail. He also has a great smile and was super sweet. We have a great dining experience...if I could give 10 stars, I would!!! Thank you!!!

The pizza was cold, with no sauce or flavor to it. They also ordered garlic knots, and they had no garlic flavor and were tough to eat.

Food was good after I ran out to grocery store to buy basil missing from box they gave me to finish assembling the Roberto pizza myself. What kind of pizza place hands you a box of toppings and expects you to finish assembling a $25 pizza at home? We also ordered another pizza that was barely cooked. That one had to be baked another 5-10 minutes because the dough and pepperoni were raw. When I called to complain about the missing basil the employee was extremely unhelpful just offering a “sorry we’ll make it right next time”. There won’t be a next time. I spent $94 for three salads and two pizzas I had to cook myself. Not my idea of takeout.

Amazing food and great restaurant. They have such a diverse menu and can even make any modifications without blinking an eye. We had amazing appetizers, pasta dishes and the most fabulous desserts!!! Without a doubt, our favorite Italian restaurant!!!!

For the Entrees I had the Veal Bolivia My cousin had the Chicken Francese. My daughter had a small Pizza. The food was great. Really enjoyed ourselves. Look forward to returning.

I've been eating at Positano for over 20 years now. It is always great pizza and food. But today i called up and ordered The Roberto pizza without the onions and no mushrooms. So a traditional Margherita. Two words BEST EVER!!! My roommate is a toughie to make happy. Her exact word was MAGNIFICENT!! ELI i can not give you enough PRAISE for your work.

We went with our close friends, Ken and Viv. Viv had been going to this restaurant for decades, so we had special treatment. I had mussels in red sauce, delightful. Tomato, no cheese, focaccia, which melted in my mouth. Finished with a light arugula salad. Absolutely incredible. When we go back to Florida, will definitely go back to this charming place!

Planed a large life event celebration and had what I thought was iron clad plans. Made three calls and had a text thread exchange confirming the plan. Got to the in restaurant event and it was a pure scramble under way. Manger/owner pulled it together and our guest never knew the difference. But I knew the entire time of the event that all the energy, planning and trust I had put into our special day was under respected by the Cafe Positanos leadership staff. Owner never apologized but did offer many excuses why they were not ready for our event. Considering never returning and never encouraging anyone to plan events there. They have proven over 7 years that they can do dinner well but now I know big events are not their forte.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and romantic. Greeted by the hostess we were sat pretty quickly. Then presented warm homemade fresh bread rolls were so delicious. Greeted by which I believe to be the manager, and I chose the Roma Tuscany passion I believe it was red and ot was so smooth and delightful. We ordered the Tuscany pizza, x large, it was so different and decadent. The sauce was just right not too bitter and the veggies cooked to perfection. Simply a must try if you are around the area.

Went for dinner with a client. Casual suburban Italian spot. LOUD atmosphere. Festive but not entirely conducive to business. Wide ranging menu of Italian favorites...pasta, fish, chicken, etc. Easy to find something to like. The actual food was okay...not bad, not special. Reasonable for the price. A+ on service. Waiter was really excellent.

It was ok. My husband and I went before we went to an event at the amway and we let the waitress know as we were a little short on time, told her we didn’t have to rush but wanted to order right away. Food came out fast and was ok not great for the prices. My husband had chicken Parm and the chicken was full of fat we tried to tell the waitress but she didn’t care. Portions were fairly small and it was over $50 for 2 sodas chicken Parm and fettuccini Alfredo. My FA was ok some flavor but just noodles and sauce no cheese or anything. Was disappointing for the price and was never checked on and then rushed out like we were not good enough.

5 star Enough food for 2 dinners

Used to be very good and dependable. Must be under new management or ownership as food was awful as in tasteless and bland like out of a can sauce, etc.. All 4 of us thought so and they are now off our go to dependable list.

We went with friends and enjoyed the company and our meal. The. Service was a little slow but the noise level left a lot to be desired.

They have the best (can't remember the name), but it is similar to the pizza bruschetta. It's considered a cold appetizer.

If you would like a nice meal, this is the place to go. The portions are awesome, for the price service was excellent. The waitress Genesis was awesome. She explained every dish we asked about. She was right there when we needed something she is the best server i've had in a long time. Way to go, Genesis, thank you!! I will definitely be back🙂

Staff was unfriendly, but food was wonderful.

My last 3 times at Caffe Positano have been nothing short of excellent. I ordered to-go, from the bar, each time. Bar tender each time was terrific; they also had Whistle Pig, which i don't see too often. They have daily specials, but regular menu is great. Terrific Italian dinners, and my last pizza was great too. With so much pizza/Italian competition in the area, Caffe Positano is definitely on my short list of must-visits.

We have been coming here for years and love this place, however, this afternoon my husband brought home 2 large pizzas for dinner. The bottom of the crusts were so burned, we couldn't eat them and ended up throwing them away. Approx. $40 wasted and had to spend more to get dinner. Not happy customers today.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Apopka. Their pizza, penne a la vodka, manicotti, fettuccine Alfredo, and house salad are all really good. The only items I have tried that I am not crazy about are the Greek salad and the pasta e fagioli. They have refrigerated meals and desserts I would love to try. The staff are also very nice.

Food is amazing. Your staff is great. But for what reason did you charge me 15 extra dollars for 1 sliced chicken breast to be added with my past meal which was 15$ in itself

We came here this past Friday for lunch after my grandmother's burial... We came with no reservation and it was about 40 of us!!! They DID an AMAZING job to accommodate us and serve us delicious food!!! All done in a timely manner. This is more than just a positive review ... this is a thank you!

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I just had one of my worst customer service experience. Make sure that you check the price online and compare to the one in store because they are totally different and misleading. I was going to order online several times but for some reasons it won't allow my order to go through. So I decided to do a phone order. First, kids' meals have free drink included online. Via phone, it is $3 charge. I ordered 2 so that's additional $6. The Tiramisu is $55 cents more in store. When I went to the store to pick up, I respectully asked why my receipt total is different from the one I got online. The guy in front, I forgot to catch his name, who was making pizza, was so rude and minimized my concern and said, "so you are complaining just for $55 cents?" And did not even make an eye contact. That is not the point. The point is, when you purchase a product, you have to honor the price or explain to me in a respectful manner why it is different. I asked to speak woth the supervisor, and they did not send one. I stead that disrespectful pizza guy stepped in. I was just hoping that they are considerate and respectful with their customers. I hope no one will ever experience what I had experienced today.

Great service and food... Genesis is the BEST server and she makes amazing pizzas too when she's not on the floor serving
