I loved everything about this - so much that I’ve told at least 20 people they need to go to Capitol Snow🤙 I opted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the bottom, and my partner went with marshmallow fluff on top 😊

Best shaved ice in this area. Always have good flavors. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely try this place if you like shaved ice. And try it with sweet condensed milk. It gives the shaved ice a rich, creamy texture.

I stumbled across this place at The Wharf, and omg!!! The best texture of ice with the most slapping favor!! I can go on, and on about the flavor I mean my lord! I automatically wanted 5 more after. Will be back, run there don’t walk!

We are *obsessed* with this snow cone stand, and have been loyal customers for 2 years! The ice is ground to be truly soft and fluffy like snow- not chunky at all. The flavors are absolutely dynamite- and made fresh. They put the perfect ratio of syrup to snow. This has become our annual summer spot for cooling off and enjoying some great memories and mind-blowingly delicious snow cones. 10/10!!

I hired Capitol Snow for a private event. They are extremely reasonably priced considering what they offer, provide exceptional customer service, and they arrived on time to the venue. I was so happy to have them and guests at the event also loved them. The shaved ice is light and fluffy with delicious, fresh, and creative flavors. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

Best snow cones in the DMV area! I love that they use fresh fruit to make their syrups. The worst part about it is that they’re so popular there is always a wait, but it’s totally worth it!

Edited: I was able to speak to the manager/owner of this business. I really appreciated being heard due to the bad experience I had. Mark was really apologetic and ensured me that this isn't the norm. He took the time to make it right and his treatment of customers goes above and beyond. Planning on bringing the whole family here and giving their products a try finally. Unfortunately can't comment on the product because I never got the opportunity to try it. After the interaction I had with one of the guys setting up I just chose to leave. Their Instagram says they're open from 3-8 on weekdays. Showed up 8/8 at 3 and wasn't open until 40 minutes later. Which fine, willing to wait. However, young man was rude in ushering us out from area in front of the cart. We weren't planning on staying there or blocking or putting up any fight, just waiting for the business to open in order to make a purchase. It could've been handled differently or said in a different way without the attitude from him. I work in customer service myself and can tell the difference, it's a shame.

Quick and easy and sooo good! The syrups are homemade and I have yet to have one that wasn’t fantastic!

I loved the ice creams, they have a lot of variety, and made from real fruit. They also have condensed milk! Which reminded me of my Colombian raspados 🇨🇴💕. I went to the one at the wharf, and although I don't know English. The people were kind and helped me choose, very patient even though we don't know the same language, but with little Spanish they defended themselves. Super recommended for hot afternoons!

Capitol Snow always delivers the BEST flavor of shaved ice! Constantly adding new flavors and new ways to make it enjoyable. Customer service is top notch and every one that works there is very friendly! Always love grabbing a shaved ice here during the spring, thru summer, and in to fall! I recommend them to anyone and everyone I can!

My family and I go to have a delicious shaved ice at the Capitol Snow Shaved Ice truck almost 3 times per week. They are my daughters favorite when the weather gets warmer. The owners are super nice and friendly. I highly recommend them, they are the best!!!

Best shaved ice in the area! Many gourmet flavors to choose from. They also sell premium vanilla ice cream to put at the bottom of the cup. They offer multiple toppings too. You have to try it! Yum

My family loves dinosaur juice, pina colada, and cherry/lemon/blue raspberry. Don't forget to ask for marshmallow fluff or condensed milk!

The only thing I miss from southern Virginia is all the Snowball spots; so, can you imagine my delight when one popped up within walking distance of my boyfriend’s house? The place has a plethora of flavors, free toppings, the option to add ice cream, and Chik-fil-A grade service from staff members. They even have cornhole and a couple of seats nearby while you enjoy your treats. What more could you possibly want?! And don’t get me started on that cutie-pie owner. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he’s also really friendly, super kind, and very charismatic. You’ll want to spend your money just because of him! His product is great, but HE is phenomenal. He deserves more recognition than he is receiving. I see that his business is getting more successful by the year and he deserves it; that is a superb guy! I’ll have to add pictures of my order next time I go, but I always forget to take a picture before I eat it. :( Last thing I want to recognize: the owner always remembers my order: cotton candy with ice cream! Try your snowballs with ice cream when you visit!

This isn’t like most snowcones! The ice is soft and creamy, the grape flavor I got is super delicious! I couldn’t finish it all so I put it in the freezer for another time, and when I pulled it out it was still creamy and not super icey. The texture is the best part!

Best snow ❄️ cones I've had, ever.

This place is the shaved ice stand of my childhood dreams. The flavors are incredible, many of them are made from real fruit, not just flavored syrups. They also are never skimpy with their pours, I never feel like my ice is never “dry” it’s always got tons of syrup. To top it all off, the customer service is always top notch. Please do yourself the flavor and drop by! ***I was told by one of the employees that the red raspberry flavor was under appreciated, and she’s totally right. It’s delicious!

Capitol Snow has some of the best shave ice I've ever had! So light and fluffy and yummy! My daughter begs to go every day even when it's freezing outside and they're closed for the season. I do wish they had a better location with more parking and an area that was a little farther from very busy Franconia Rd but maybe with more customers they'll be able to upgrade one day. My current favorite flavor is cherry lemonade with Strawtermelon a close second.

We had Capital Snow at our staff appreciation event today and they were fantastic! The ice was refreshing and the staff were so kind and helpful to my group. I would definitely book them again in the future.

I feel I am a snowcone expert,I've had years of experience!!!! Lol.....Truely the best snowcones to this day!Ice is perfect and syrup is in every bite,down to the bottom!!!! Don't forget the marshmallow topping!!!!

Friendly service and yummy fresh shaved ice.

My first experience was when I received a free sample during a hot day during the gas shortage. The mango tasted so good. I introduced my family to this ice cart. Soooo good. The ice is very finely shaved. Snow is the perfect word. All of the workers are very kind and nice. I love supporting a local company with great product.

Instant hit with the kids on a 🔥 day. A great selection of flavors and combos, and you can pick toppings (of course the kids all got marshmallow!). Super friendly and there's a few chairs to sit in while you munch on your ice. $4 for a small, $5 for a large.

This place is a gem - totally worth stopping by and grabbing if you are in the area. Ridiculously good flavors and service is great - they let me customize my toppings (who knew toppings go on shave ice?). I highly recommend!

The kids and I have been talking about stopping here for a quick refresher. We’ve had shave ice in Hawaii (from Matsumoto’s and other places) so the bar was set really high. Truth told, this was the softest and most consistent shave ice we have ever had. 6 stars if I could. We will definitely be back!!

One thing I truly hate about shaved ice is that it has too much syrup on top and not enough on the bottom, but for the first time ever, I had AWESOME shaved ice! Also, fantastic customer service would definitely try again!
