My family and I have been eating at Capogna's for over 40 years - their Dugout Special is the BOMB and their wings are amazing, too! We love supporting small family owned businesses!

Wings are very good ! Pizza and salads are delicious. Waitress was not the worst, not the best , but was friendly. The place smells like pinesol really needs Ana makeover maybe get rid of carpet.

Love their lunch specials! Great prices too.

I've been coming here since they opened early '70s and it has not changed or disappointed... My favorite pizza!

Best spaghetti marinara around!!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Love the laid back chill atmosphere. They could possibly have one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Everything I've ordered there has been great. We have business meetings there and even enjoy free Wi-Fi!

I wish they would get food runners because it's hard to get a hot pizza sometimes. The last three times we've been there it was warm instead of piping hot. We also wondered if they changed the cheese as it was clumpy the last time we had it.

We have gone here for over 25 years!!!! We drive all the way over from Hillsborough County for the real taste of Italian Pizza! The real McCoy!!!!! Their spaghetti is fantastic!!!!!! Great sauce! Large portions! Service is always great! As good as I remembered when I lived up north!

The atmosphere is so welcoming with great music, well air conditioned , relaxed I got the eggplant parm with a side of spaghetti and a salad for $10 for lunch . . The eggplant parmesean was outstanding!! The salad cold and crispy. This place also supports the local athletic teams. Cain my server was attentive and professional . For good specials, price and big portions this is a great place

Love their menu. Haven't ordered anything I didn't like. Always cooked perfectly. Wings are definitely my favorite in the area. Pasta dishes are so amazing. We have ordered takeout at least every other week if not every week in the last few months. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Four generations of my wife's family have been going there for decades. Thank you Campogna's Dugout.

Pizza was tasteless. Very disappointed. Tuna salad my husband said it was ok, pretty good.

This place has been a part of my family since I was a kid, it’s the place that always brings us all together. Since I was just a baby my family has always had our get together dinners at capognas. Anytime family is in town, there’s a graduation, or any celebration we always get the whole gang together here. We love the pizza, and we love the family atmosphere. When you sit down here and look around you, it’s always large parties, families with everyone from the newborn to grandma all laughing and having a good time. What could possibly be a better environment? At our most recent visit we noticed that the cheese was not staying on the pizza, it was never this way in the past, but it won’t prevent my review from reaching 5 stars. I’m hoping this was just a one time thing, capognas stays our whole family’s favorite pizza place!

What you would expect from a sports bar. The Great thing was,, It's NOT a dance hall! They did NOT play music while the games were on, like those wanna be sports places... Plane and simple, you could watch several events, and talk with your friends... Ya know, like a real sports bar/food place is supposed to be. Thank you...

1/13/23 - Have tried several pasta dishes and Friday Ruben. Excellent lunch value. 11/29/21 - This place has a decent lunch menu and specials with most items less than $10. Nothing was extraordinary but a solid lunch location for Italian bar food. This time, I had the calzone and naked wings. The calzone was good. The wings were all drumettes (not sure why there were not flappers) and I ordered the sauce on the side. They were slightly dry but crispy for the nice crunch. The hot sauce, which I was told was made inhouse, was vinegar based and not very hot or complex in flavor. Again, nothing extraordinary but gets the job done. I'll be back to try some of their other offerings. Definitely worth a try.

The service was impeccable the atmosphere was extremely enticing both as I had fondly remembered, but the food was not what I remembered. It's been several years since I've been at the Dugout in Clearwater Florida but I had to wait in line at the DMV which is like right next door to the the restaurant and we decided to go in there and get something for lunch the pizza was very disappointing I thought it was because we just ordered a slice and I thought well maybe it's a different pizza by the slice because it tasted like a frozen pizza with extra cheese. One of us got a chicken parm sandwich. Which was majorly overcooked. Some evening will try it again for dinner but it'll be a while before we go back for lunch

Ordered Steak hogie... was tasteless... the "steak" on this hogie tasted weird then, I noticed the cat laying outside was suddenly missing... coincidence? I will not be ordering it again... 🤮 I do recommend their pizza... best Philly cheesesteak= Pizza mania in Tampa, best New York style pizza= Astra Pizza in St. Pete

Service was incredible, our waiter was attentive and made sure to check in on us. We ordered pasta and pizza and were not disappointed. The fettuccine Alfredo and Thin Crust Pizza are the two dishes are something we highly recommend! The interior is a Sports memorabilia meets family dining room feel.

13.00 dollars for fake Boneless wings !!!! Are you serious ??? If I wanted fake chicken nuggets I would have went to McDonalds. Not cool to cut corners to your customers to save a few bucks!!! FAKE CHICKEN is GROSS !!!! Is is really too much to ask for real chicken???

We have been going here for many years & is still family owned. This place does so much in giving back to the community. Food is reasonably priced & very good. I would highly recommend it. Wings, pizza, lasagna, steak & cheese. I have had them all & you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Average Italian restaurant. Service was slow due to a lack of help. Huge portions and reasonable prices.

Once we were seated, it took 20 min for our server to come to our table. Mind you, it wasn't very busy at all. Then she was very rude when taking our order. Like we were an inconvenience, When our food finally came to our table 2 of the 3 orders were cold to the touch like they were sitting for a bit. So when asked if they could please be reheated, she gave us a dirty look. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but the whole dining experience there was unpleasant & left a bad taste in our mouths. Don't think we'll be going there again

Delicious food, truly homemade sauces. You can taste the difference. Such a great place! Classic Clearwater spot to catch a great meal, enjoy the games and have great service. Places like these are a rare find! Tommy is the man!

We love coming to this place. Because it reminds us of old fashioned diner/ bar. We had noticed that there was always return customers. The bar tender was a excellent person. He always made sure that we always had our needs and if we have any questions. He was quick to answer.

I've been eating here since i was like 5 years old. So for over 20 years now. Theu have never disappointed. If they mess up, they fix it. If you're not happy, they will bend over backward to accommodate you. The only thing i wish they would do is bring back the arcade games!

I have to say my husband and I were totally disappointed with the service as well as the food. We waited almost an hour for our entrees and they were blah. I hate to say it but we will not be returning. We boxed our meals and will be took them home. Not sure we can them doctor them up either.

Ok,we had read about this place and decided to try it. We were searching for a good burger and some homemade meatballs. In fairness,we stopped on a Friday evening, the place was packed, wait staff was hustling in an attempt to keep up. Our burger was fine but our young waiter forgot the requested grilled onions, the fries weren't quite cooked, and he didn't know whether the meatballs were house made or not, they were fine. We will give this eatery another try, perhaps during a weekday lunch. Also,we saw many pizzas being delivered to the tables and the pies looked scrumptious!

The server was friendly and attentive, and the pizza was one of the best I've had in Florida.

The service was incredible and the cozy booths were nice but the food left something to be desired. The garlic toast was basically slices of mushy white bread. Nothing “toast” like about it. Pizza was pretty basic. Nothing to make it stand out as amazing. Cute place, just dated.

im 40 and we've been coming here since i was in 8th grade. im convinced their wings (w/medium sauce) have crack in them- we used to skip class senior year and go get capogna's wings lol.

Recently my wife and I stopped by a Saturday afternoon, we haven't been here for years. We sat at the bar, the tender was nice and no complaints. The appetizers fried mushrooms and jalapeños poppers were disgusting, obviously not made from scratch and the oil likely hasn't been changed in a while. Yeah, we should have ordered a pizza. If you go, don't order fried anything. Ex-pro-chef

Fish sandwich was great. I love coffee and , unfortunately, the coffee machine wasn't working. Water was fine.

Don't listen to winegirl52, obviously she likes frozen pizza from Publix. I have been going to Capgnas for over 3 years and all of their good is good. Including the pizza. I mean sure, obviously tastes will differ but for anyone to say their pizza is terrible, well they either have brain damage or an axe to grind with the establishment.

Every time I'm in Pinellas County, I make sure one of my dinner stops is the Dugout. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The servers are very attentive, always making sure my drink is full.

Awesome Italian food. Clean and great service. The Ale House Pasta and Shrimp was incredibly delicious. The pasta was perfectly ali dente and the Shrimps were cooked to perfection and they were exceptionally big. A big plus with the mushrooms onions and beer sauce. The right amount of garlic..so tasty. The salad the dinner comes with is huge and colorful with the perfect amounts of lettuce, cucumber, radish, and carrots. Ordered the Greek dressing, which automatical comes served on the side. The amount of dressing was spot on for dressing the salad. And the extra garlic bread was delicious 4 big slices. I cannot comment on their delicious sounding desserts as we had no more room, and we took home half of our meal and salad. The portions are more than enough, especially for the price. We will definitely be returning, to try their pizza it looked so good.

Had the frankie special pizza crispy and it exceeded my expectations!! Yummy.

Cross was our guy and him and the meal made this experience 5 stars. The cheese on the pizza was possibly the best, and Cross met every need we had. 3 adults and 2 kids ate for 70 bucks with l Enough leftovers for lunch. Excellent stop

Food and service was outstanding.

Nothing special about the pizza the cheese was definitely low grade . Rubbery texture and didn’t melt well into the pizza. I spit out the first bite of my chicken sandwich because the chicken breast wasn’t trimmed at all. The fries were soggy too. The whole layout of the restaurant was wrong. Just walking through the door there was a large party of twenty or more seated right at the front door . This place needs a complete overhaul Food and Atmosphere. Service and staff were friendly and happy to be there.

Really good food and service. If you like sports bars, this place is for you (many TVs). Pasta portion was enormous and pizza was excellent. Server, Rachel, was outstanding.

The atmosphere is great as always however over time the food has gotten to be somewhat mediocre.

The service was so slow. Water had to have been tap water, tasted like the ocean. The restaurant was wide open with employees standing around and food still took forever. Waited for our check for a long time too. Food was ok, won't be back. Also tv views are obstructed when sitting in the restaurant.

I consider myself a calzone aficionado, and i've never had one as good as this. If you like Italian food, this is definitely the place to go.

Got pepperoni pizza .suggest ed Ed by office manager . Totally great on way home stopped at corner store. Had the employees try it .they loved it .then across street to circle k. Girl always there .ask you want some .she said that's the best pepperoni slice ever .you now have 3 new customers besides me . Best food in town

Fettuccini is yummy 😋. I didn't like the pizza. It is thick and gummy. If you're looking for a crispy thin pizza, this is not the best place

Sports fans will love the atmosphere of this restaurant. This place has been in Clearwater so long its practically an institution. Delicious home made Pata dishes & great portion size for the money. One of the Best Mom & Pop restaurants in Pinellas County.

They have a nice place. I got shrimp fettuccine. It tasted delicious! It had a generous amount of big shrimps. Thanks to Emily. She was such an amazing attendant! Definitely we'll go back.

I was told by a friend to go there for the lasagna. Won't go again. I found the sauce to be too sweet. I had a problem when I went home & 2 hours later the lasagna had purged my system. 15 years ago I used to go there regularly but only for pizza. My server was a very nice young lady. But that was the highlight of the meal. PS. I'm Italian and know of what I speak.

Delicious Italian comfort food that beats all competition around!

First time there. I went to get some good food and watch a football game. The booths and tables are situated parallel to the TV screens making it very awkward and uncomfortable to see the TV. I also had to look past a light fixture to see the screen. (photo attached). I ordered a Coke with lime that took ten minutes to arrive—it was wrong. I received a Diet Coke with no lime. I ate an entire order of jalapeno poppers before my replacement drink arrived. My very average, overpriced, small Italian hoagie took forever. To top off my trip, I ordered a piece of cheesecake and out of curiosity, I set the timer on my watch. The slice of cake took 14 minutes to get to me. I won't be back. I had high hopes looking to replace Russo's which closed last year. I'll have to keep looking.

Been going here forever.. A Clearwater classic! I hadn't been in a few years but the food was still great and the family has kept the business strong and vibrant.

Food was great. Service was great. Management needs some attention. They don’t post hours so when I called I got mailbox full message rather than something telling hours, location, etc. I looked at Yelp and assumed what was there was right. We arrived 2 minutes before noon and the door was locked so we waited. About 5 minutes later we heard a faint click - fortunately we weren’t talking or wouldn’t have heard it. No one opened the door and welcomed us. These may be trivial things but that’s the point - it’s not much harder to leave a good impression on customers.

While Capogna's is usually a pretty good stop, the Capogna Special this visit was poor. Must have been new or Sunday staff as not many items on pizza and the pizza was cut like a 2nd grader did the cutting.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Over ten years coming here and never a bad meal or a negative experience.
