I went in to get some dinner for myself. This young lady she helped me out for it being my first time there I’ll for sure be going over there again. Plus there was a rush I’m glad there are wonderful employees that help the customers.

I went in today and these two young men (Mack and Anthony) help my family in the drive thru. We loved how kind they were to us and generous by helping us with the menu. I know it was probably a little frustrating be we got through it😅. They both got our drinks out and the food was all freshly made. Didn’t took long either.

I ordered $37.18 in food 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals. I ordered Gr. Tilapia meal and had COLD BROCCOLI. My sit on the counter and no number was called out but everyone else number was, I'm a senior citizen and the kid running the register would not give me my discount , the whole staff was rude and very disrespectful. The girl that refunded my money had a very bad attitude. I'm very disappointed with this restaurant, and I drove across town to eat here. NOT AGAIN

I'm originally from Michigan, and what a great find this place has been! Great people, fast service and the food is soooo good! Every time it's been delicious.

Got the $6 1 piece fish with 2 pieces of chicken. Chicken looked like nuggets. They forgot tarter sauce,no silverware or napkins. I got green beans which were good but not a full scoop. Gave me bunches of ketchup. Not sure why. When I called and complained lady was very rude. Not going back. Wish we had a long john silvers. Food is much better.

Couldn't hear the drive thru kid he kept talking so low I couldn't even understand him till I got to the window.And he was slow as molasses

Food was hot which is what I prefer

My family and I went here for dinner today and whoever made our plates we're very stingy with the food we had maybe 10 french fries and we also asked for cracklins and barely got any they put barely any macaroni and cheese on our plates barely any green beans we called and spoke with a lady who I guess is the manager and she wanted to argue about it and say you only get one scoop we didn't even get a full scoop and we were trying to explain this to this lady but she wasn't listening so we paid good money for food that we didn't even get a full portion of and I thought customers are always supposed to be right well in this case she thinks she's right because she did not remake our food and we hung up on her because she wanted to argue about it and we don't have time for that we just wanted what we paid for and for our food to be made correctly with a full portion of food.

I think it speaks for itself when you order a meal and it doesn’t come with a drink especially for the price of the meals. This place is ridiculous. P.S save the copy and pasted response that is always replied to these reviews to yourself.

Great food. Everything was fresh

This place has went downhill tremendously. The shrimp tasted like cookie dough and so greasy it literally made me nauseated to my stomach. I was getting lemonade to drink and it tasted like it was made with one small lemon to 2 gallons of water and no sugar. The coleslaw was ruined and shouldn't have been served to anyone, should been thrown away, once bringing it to an employees attention, all she said was SORRY and had an attitude about it. Never asked if they could give us some more or something else to replace it!!!! The restaurant floors needed to be swept in the dining room. I won't ever come back to this restaurant!!!!! Save your money and go somewhere else.

Fish was undercooked looking at it didn’t eat it though because there was hairs all in my food shrimp was also mushy

Food was effin’ delicious. Whoever cooked my fish deserves a raise. Hard to get decent fish from a fast food restaurant but this place has never disappointed. I also love how they add some crispy batter bits to the box. I just wish the steamed broccoli had some seasoning! I won’t take a star off from that though, since everything else was stellar. good vibes all around.

Very disappointed and I wont be going back if this is the new standard. I normally come here as a treat because it's so far away from where I live and it's been a few months since I've been so I decided to go today. The fish and chicken sizes are smaller than what they used to be. It looks like the quality of the meat has also gone down, it was so bad I didnt even bother eating any of the second pieces after tasting the first but the prices are of course still the same, definitely higher than what's its worth. Both sides were awful, the green beans too salty and also over peppered and the cole slaw barely edible. The sweet tea was meh enough to wash away the sour taste from the coleslaw but not good enough to ever order again.

My daughter-in-law and son ate there yesterday they ate the same thing except my daughter-in-law had tartar sauce. By the time she got back to my house she was having to stop more than once to throw up and then she threw up all night. Do not eat at this place, I’m going to report them to the health department!!

The food was very fresh, the staff was very nice and accommodating. By far the best Captain D’s I’ve had!

We went to night and it wasn't good the fish was very small pieces for two plants was and two was 30 something dollars

It wasn't as clean as it usually is and the service wasn't great either. I paid $17.40 for a $5.99 fish, shrimp, & fries, 1 medium drink, 1 small drink, & 1 Mac & cheese. Why are the drinks $3+????

Stopped at my aunt's request. The fish was mushy and tasteless. It wasn't clear we would be charged extra for okra and baked potato sides and when we asked the lady was rude. No need to try it again.

I visit this establishment at least 4 outta 5 days a week. The food is always served Hot and fresh. And the employees are very nice. They know my order every time I come in. I highly recommend having the grilled white fish or the catfish sandwich, which are some of out favorites

If they were any slower, time would stand still! Took 10 minutes to place the order in drive thru,then another 15 to pay for it only to get the wrong order. Then she's going to say, I will ring you up and make that for you! Who had time to wait on their not so fast food?

country music playing, remodeled bathrooms, overall clean establishment, food came fast even though lunch rush, great sweet tea with lemons, full jars of condiments, all white staff was friendly, and food was reasonably priced.

If you order the oakra if you want it done you have to keep on them

It was terrible we use to love it years back maybe 2 years ago. We just got 2 county fried fish dinners and had to throw them out it tasted horrible. The fish is different and it tastes like the batter is all cornmeal. It use to be really great but not now. This was our last try and FINAL. It seems they have went completely CORPORATE 😫😱🤯

The absolute best Captain Ds by far. We stopped in for lunch passing through Rome. The fish was hot and fresh. The service was fast and friendly

I absolutely love this place. It's my favorite place to eat. But twice here lately I have had ordered fried okra and the okra not be done and I choke on a crab claw and didn't even order crab smh.

First time at this particular location, The staff are really young but very efficient and detail oriented. The food was really well prepared, I haven't been to a Captain D's in years and was really impressed.

Looks like CD's has been renovated. It looks really nice! Counter server was really nice as well! Came to our table to remove our tray and plates when we finished. I also noticed we were served on real I think, thick "melamine" plates, love it! Cleaning was also being done in other areas. A great experience!👏👏

The food was excellent, the portions, the temperature, the value. The dining room extremely clean, and the condiment area, and drink fountain were clean and well stocked. Angela and Savannah couldn't have been more welcoming, and pleasant, the yound lady in the dining room area was great too

This Captain D's in Rome food taste like all the others. Greasy fried goodness. So why the 5 stars you ask? Well ley me tell you... it is the employees. They are so sweet. I have not been met by one bad attitude. They are helpful, accommodating, and kind. They make me feel like they have been waiting all day to see me just to make sure I sit relax and not have to cook after a long day. And true or not Im glad they make me feel that way. Keep up the great work.

Catfish dinner was on point and cooked just right! Sweet tea was some of the best that I've had in Rome, in quite some time. I must admit, I've never had a bad experience with Captain D's. I would recommend it to everyone

The Shrimp Skewers dinner with (6) grilled shrimp on two (2) skewers for total of 12 shrimp, plus 2 sides (baked potato and salad OR fried okra/corn on cob) is my favorite dinner, but the "feast" style dinner with 2-4 fried shrimp, stuffed crab, fried fish is also EXCELLENT.

I got the fish and chicken, my wife got the catfish feast. My fish was very good and so was hers. Hush puppies we're good. The okra was kind of soggy and the chicken was not very good. The staff was friendly and the price was fair.

My husband and I were blown away by the quality of our dinners we just received. Our order was fast, hot, crispy, plentiful, and delicious. I'd honestly given up on getting good quality deliveries from Rome restaurants and tonight, you surprised me, Captain D's. We will definitely be ordering again. We got the Catfish Feast and Deluxe Seafood Platter and it was honestly more food than we could eat in a whole day, much less a single meal. There was *far* more than enough sauce-age included like tartar, cocktail, malt vin, etc. The okra could've been crispier, but the important bits... the fish... were perfectly crisp and not soggy at all. We really enjoyed every element. Well done, Captain!

This is a great place to eat. I haven't been to this Captain D's in 14 since I moved away. Decided to visit and eat yesterday and was very impressed. The establishment was very neat and clean. Employees are nice and attentive. They were cheerful which is always a great thing to see. Food was fresh and hot. Condiments counter was clean. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Will be back next time I'm in town. Great job guys! Thanks for the excellent service and cleanliness of your establishment!
