The food was awful service sucked and atmoshere was horrible the lady that was at window was very rude when i went im to get sauces our food was burned we leterally ate our potato and corn

Wife and I ordered a 2 pc fish and shrimp meal and the fisherman platter. Order came quickly and we found 1 fresh pc of fish a one old overcooked pc of fish and old overcooked shrimp. We were unable to chew it. This has happened now for 3 times and told the counter people about it. We ended up throwing away about 1/2 of the food because it was unfit to eat. We will not be back since then we have found 3 other fish places that serve Fresh fish. It is a shame they do not seem to care about the business and customers. A hint is do not buy anything from about 1pm to 4 or 5 pm because that is when they must stick the already cooked fish in a warmer and reheat it for unsuspecting customers. As far as the other items like the popcorn shrimp and clams we’re good and made fresh.

Food is typical of any captain D's, not super clean , everything was sort of greasy and building needs repairs but the employees were very nice.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at this location. Wwe waited for 33 minutes before one of the workers asked us if we had gotten our food. I said no then another lady came out and said I need to see my receipt because they didn't have my order. We received our order after an additional ten minutes. The food was terrible. We ate a small portion and threw the rest away. Terrible experience

Service very slow. Waited 20 minutes for our order. Restaurant not well kept up. No ice in the drink machines.

This place is very understaffed or very Inexperienced in management. Over 20 minutes I waited in line at the drive-through and there was only two cars. I don’t know how long the people in front of me had been waiting. The food was pretty good after I finally Got it. But they are in dire need of someone to run this place efficiently.

After getting into Paducah late tonight, I'd been jonesing for some Captain D's, after passing one on the way to Key Largo a few years back. The wife and I had the seafood sampler. The fish was amazing!!! Not greasy or too salty like Long John Silver's food. The staff was pleasant and very helpful and gave ample substitutes "on the house" due to a few items being sold out. People don't understand that sometimes the jobs these workers have are thankless. The wife and I appreciated the smiles and good food. Thanks guys!!! We need a Captain D's in Wyoming too.

Everytime I visit here Jonathan makes me feel right at home and always honors my special requests..you all have a good manager on your team..thank you..and may God continue to bless your business as your workers are a blessing to us..

This was my grandparents favorite place

First time I'd been here in several years. The food was awful. The cole slaw tasted almost rancid. The fish was passable, but not good. The other stuff got tossed in the trash. 14 dollars worth of trash. I went through the drive thru and the line was moving fairly well and the woman at the window was friendly. That's the only positive though. Big disappointment for what was intended to be a rare treat for myself

My order wasn't correct but they went above and beyond what they had to do to make it right.

Hobby closes early and hard to get them to take your orders in lobby to busy with drive thru

If I could I would give 0 stars. Eveytime we come here it's trash food and trash service. They have workers in there tonight and we were told they are not taking orders? It's 7 pm. I won't even waste my time here ever again. Hire new ppl plz!

Captain D's let me down in the past, but today was a great time. The service was great and the food was delicious.

Was at drive thru and the lady kept putting us on hold. Customers come first not before anything else. Get employees that do not have attitudes. Worst experience I've ever had there. Not even worth the 1 star review.

I am pissed. Paid 12.00 for this little piece of fish. Don’t order catfish from here. You don’t get what you paid for.

We just went to get takeout. The fish was burnt the fries was cold. The employees was very unprofessional. We eat there quite a bit, but want be back that’s for sure. Across from Paducah mall. They gets a F from us. 32.00 worth of food in the garage

Ate here on 12 30 23 at4:00 pm After 25 min.i asked about my order. It was delivered on a nasty filthy tray with dried food on it. The plate had coleslaw around the edge, i didnt order coleslaw. There were no tarter sause out, the tables were not wiped down. I love this place, please don't ruin it for me.

Reasonable prices for the good food

Food was good. Not great, but good. Server did her job well. I went on Senior Special day on Sunday, so the price was nice. The one thing that I really disliked was the music they played on their speaker system. Terrible. Awful. And with commercials! It ruins the experience.

Food was hot and tasty,service was good also.

The lady that took our order has to get someone over to help her. We ordered water and she charged us for 2 large drinks. My husband had to go back and ask for the cups. He went to get ice and the machine were out. No folks. They said they wouldn't have any folks till tomorrow. Tables were not stocked with paper towels and the tables not clean.

Is there an inspection that checks their service?

I Love their Fish but the Service stinks ! Took me 20 times of going to dinner there and the dining room being closed and no one answering at the drive thru before I wrote this review. Google Maps says they close at 9pm , I’ve been there over 20 times anywhere from 6:30pm to 8pm and Dining room was closed and no one answered at the drive thru. I’m tired of making the trip and they not be open. This all started during Covid of not enough employees and dining rooms being shut down , but Covid is way over and employees are running the store and shutting the doors when they want to while who even knows where Management is ? I’ve seen this going on with a lot of Restaurants and it has put most of them out of business and closed the doors. I hate to see it happen because I Love there Fish. They either need to change their closing time on Google maps or close when they say there are closing.

Unbelievable!!! 2 cars ahead on me, took more than a half hour to get the thru the drive thru. No apology nothing and the line of cars behind me wrapped around the building to the street. Good luck to them. Fries were cold and no tartar or cocktail sauce in the bag . I had to ask for my soft drink. I ordered a diet coke and it tasted like Dr Pepper. I could see my order sitting on the counter while the drive thru attendant took food to the seat customers. Manager on duty should be discharged. The herb shrimp was under cooked, cold and doughy. Worst lunch ever. Never coming back. I can not understand how a business like this can stay in business???

The staff was very unhelpful when asked the cheapest way to get extra fish. They went as far as to telle their was no way to get any extra fish. Not even purchasing them. The general manager was very rude to my wife for being in bathroom under 5 minutes. We were timing this by the way for a customer service inspection we were paid for. This is what i got for 18 dollars

Restaurant dining room was dirty, old condiment dispensers were filthy, soft drink machine leaking water across the floor.

Always good food, this time service sucked. Asked for lemon, was told they would bring it, ate the whole meal and no lemon.

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Went through the drive thru and was told to park and they would bring my food right out. 15 minutes later I go inside to check on my food. There was a line at the register and no cashier in site. After 5 minutes someone finally came up to the register. I informed her I had waited a long time and would just like a refund. The girl told me my food was right there so I just had to take my food and that she wouldn't give me a refund. I end up leaving with the food because I didn't want to argue only to get half way home and realize I was given the wrong food all together.

The manager forgot to hand us back our card and we didn't realize until we were an hour and a half away. When we called to ask she said we dined and dashed. She won't give us our card without paying for the food, but we can't even make it there before closing time at this point. We eventually pay for our food and get our card and were assured the charges on our card didn't go through. The charges went through. So, she accused us of theft, then double charged us.

I was kinda disappointed in the food yesterday, didn't seem near as good as it has been in the past. Batter dipped fish was just so-so, fries not crisp (kinda tough, actually), hush puppies were smaller and also kinda tough. Slaw was ok, and the sweet tea seemed to be the same as always.

The big fish sandwich is great and so are the lobster rolls. My only complaint is the tea is inconsistent and usually not sweet enough.

Bad service called over 30 time won’t answer I had to go up there wasted gas for them to tell me that they can’t replace it and won’t refund my money so that theft

Food is always good. They have trouble keeping help, like everyone else, so they are closing at 8:30 until further notice.

The food order is incorrect takes a very bland most of all it tasted the same like it all use the same oil my brother had chicken I have fish and shrimp not worth it at all I was shorted, a fish and a couple shrimp. I do not recommend this place.

Food was horrible the last two times I have went

This used to be one of my favorite places, it's definitely went down hill. Took way too long to get our food, food was over cooked, taste of food wasn't there. We used to get a grilled chicken dinner, with grilled vegetables. Now, no longer have that, and what we got just isn't good to me. Employees were nice, just didn't care for the food or time to get it.

A horrible meal. Using old greese. Fish all dark. No condiments. Sent back but came back worse. Small drink 3.09 and tea was like water. Unacceptable

I went through the drive-thru, was not even acknowledged for almost 20 minutes. I could see customers in the dining room placing orders and receiving their food after my order had been placed. The employee refused to give her name and refused to explain the complaint process. I live 5 minutes away, and the food was cold by the time I got home. One star is too generous for the customer service and food at this establishment

We went today 1/7/2023. It was TERRIBLE. I ordered 2 pieces of fish and 2 chicken strips with a drink and jalapeño cheddar bites. The cheddar bites were good but nothing else was. It was awful if I could get away without leaving any stars I would. Will not be going back.

Right off the back the floor was slick, like it had been mopped with oily mop water. Took 10-15min to get our food even though the restaurant was dead. All the food was cold save for the hushpuppies. The pieces of fish and chicken were tiny. No ice in the drink machines, water dispenser was also broken. No condiment pumps, only packages.

Took over 25 minutes in the drive thru, and there were only 3 cars including me. Our meals were cold when we finally got them. Probably my last time at Captain D's.

I have eaten here several times, but today it was terrible. First the lady over charged us, the dinning area wasn't clean and water was all over the floor in front of the drink machines. One of the drink machines was out of order and the other one was running out of most drinks. Service was very slow. Hopefully it was just a bad day. I will give it one more try to see if it improves.

This place used to be the benchmark for customer service. Now the place is dirty, orders aren't properly fulfilled and drink machines are on the fritz. Also 3.09 for a small beverage that you have to serve yourself is ridiculous. I worked at captain d's in college and none of this would have been allowed. Sad.

Worst fish sandwich ever. I ordered a cornmeal battered giant fish sandwich. The fish was dark and had an old taste. Both pieces of fish were only the size of my two fingers . I/4 of the bun had fish. They had no Cole slaw. The worker said it had come in expired . Regular tea price is over $3.00 . Friend wanted a fish sandwich with two sides. Sales person said he couldn't get that he had to buy a fish strip meal. On the menu with a fish sandwich, you can get two sides. It was a horrible experience.

I had a two piece, fries and hushpuppy meal. The fish was dark brown under the breading. Couldn't eat it. No Pumps of ketchup and tarter sauce. Packages only.No more onions and pickles. What's going on?

Place seemed to not flow very smoothly, multiple guest came back up to the counter to get items not giving with there orders while I was placing my order. Wait time was long, I order to go they gave it to on a tray for dine in. Maybe it was new people. Food was good though.

They were slammed and didn't have enough help. Food was good,but had to wait for awhile. When it came up,it was packaged for a to go order.

This used to be my favorite fish restaurant. No more. Tonight was my first trip here in a month, and boy, how things have changed! PRO is the food quality remains high. CONS The price of my 4 piece fish dinner has gone up $2.00. The size of the portions is cut in half. My 2 tarter sauce cups were only ⅓ full. They no longer offer a senior discount and no napkins in my to go bag. It will be awhile before I return.

Tried Captain D's for first time today...Ordered the fish & chicken, coleslaw and okra. Fresh, hot and tasty

Closed at 6pm on a Saturday evening??? Guess we'll take our business elsewhere. Six other customers went with us.

We always enjoyed eating at this Captain D, however the last two times our food was not the same and poorly prepared. The fish tonight was not done. This is our last time to go!

I eat there every once in a while. They didn't have part of the food I ordered but they substituted something else in its place.

That food was soooo good and hot and fresh. Hush puppies was delicious. I wish we live there I would go there everyday.

Water from the tap. No cars in line but a wait and the oil seemed as if it needed changed. Fried food is good tasting but oil quality is key.

Everyone was extremely extremely nice, and the restaurant is very clean.

I went here last week got the fish and shrimp. The fish well.... it changed over the yrs. So tomorrow I will see about the chicken and shrimp for myself and also see if they have hush puppies for the cat.

Cashier was friendly and greeted us upon entry. Food was good and hot! They even came by our table to see if we needed anything. Also, thanked us for our business as we left. Very nice experience.
