We’ve been coming to Carmelo’s for years! The food is delicious, you won’t be disappointed! My go to is the carne guisada.

The food is excellent, in large portions, and at an affordable price. Service is friendly and very fast; even when it is fully packed, you can expect to get your food in under 15 minutes. The atmosphere is pleasant as well, the music is not overbearing like every other restaurant out there, and you can actually hear yourself think as well as the conversation at your table without anyone yelling. The owners love their community as well, they have photos all over the walls from their varying support throughout the area. Of the 16 years I have been coming here, I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience. Best restaurant in the region!

This place is great. The food is really good but considering I've had slightly better food I couldn't quite give them 5 stars. It's really good though. The price is amazing though. Considering the cost it's exceptional. It also feels like it might be owned and operated by a family. They are really friendly and really take care of you.

My most favorite local restaurant to support. For at least 6 years this has been our go to for breakfast. Customer service unmatched and food is always delicious.

Sought out a new breakfast joint and happily, Carmelo's is a winner. You sit yourself where you like, and the server approaches almost as you do. Good service is a good start. . I ordered chilaquiles (the kind with meat this time) and a taco. I also ordered chips and salsa, which is $1.99 at breakfast time. I regret that, because while they were very good (I like deeply fried chips), my food came out so fast that I left a lot of chips uneaten so it was a bad value. Next time I'll not get the chips. . The main dishes were very tasty. I like that they seasoned the food well, which is sadly distinctive in this era of salt avoidance. . To close the meal, the server took my card rather than paying at the register as sometimes is required. This was a great experience and I'll be back.

Been coming almost weekly to “Melo’s,” as my kids call it, for over 12 years and cannot recommend this restaurant enough. You know a place is great when the same staff have joyfully and efficiently served you for over a decade. The food is delicious, authentic, and great prices!! Did I mention we are a family of 8? 😅 and we have always felt welcomed and patiently served even on our rough days. Carmelos is part of our family, and I can’t recommend this neighborhood hidden gem enough!

Truly a hidden gem!! We were looking for a good burger place in Katy and this spot kept coming up, I'm so glad we tried it. So good that I had to go live to show my peeps the spot. Have been coming here for about 2-3 years now, and I have got to say I have never once been disappointed in coming here. The servers are always super awesome, and the food has always tasted amazing. Even when the place is packed, the food comes out quick and has never disappointed. This is definitely one of our favorite go to places and visit often!

Carmelo's never disappoints. The food is always tasty and fresh. Service is quick and prompt and give great suggestions on what to eat. We have been coming here for years. The only meals that are not excellent so far has been queso which is plain and chicken fajitas that not as flavorful as the beef.

This is my first time here, I wanted some chilaquiles and found this place on Google maps. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a very welcoming smile from the staff, the waitstaff is amazing here! Food is wonderful! I had the Chilaquiles with green sauce and they were delicious! I asked if I could substitute the chicken or beef with Carne Guisada… right away I was told “sure thing!”, no hesitation, no charge.. very accommodating!! Homemade flour tortillas, too!

This is one of the BEST Mexican food restaurants hands down!!! The food is amazing from the chips and salsa, the meals, and the drinks. The atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff is amazing and friendly. They always make sure you are happy with your meal and service. We normally sit in and eat, but we have also done take out and have never had issues. Their pricing is very reasonable for the large amount of food you get. If you are looking for a family oriented/ family owned Mexican restaurant I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!!
