Good food to enjoy with the family

This is the WORST place to eat, I went by the amount of reviews and stars but I was really disappointed. The food is tasteless and serving method is messy.

Family atmosphere, good for sharing a good exquisite lunch

Tasty Caribbean (Spanish food) bipolar owner. She's cranky and will gaslight the customer who isn't of Spanish descent.

Food was good got the baked chicken with yautia.

It's an amazing place. The portion is very fulfilling. It reminds me of home. I will definitely recommend it for affordable price and great food.

Amazing little place right in Providence

This is my go to spot whenever I'm in the mood for some good Spanish food. This spot can get a bit crowed at times, but the staff are always nice and helpful. BTW parking is tight and hard to find depending on the hour.

They been there for over 20 yrs they the sweetest family own restaurant best fish, Spanish food , you missing out if not tried yet.look at my chicharones don't hate go try.

The food here is good. The service is very slow, even when there aren't many customers there.

Język francuski i angielski w nazwie lokalu sugerował Kanadę dokładnie quebec, niestety klimat lokalu zmylił w wystarczającym dużym stopniu żeby moja osoba została oszukana, ponieważ powyższy lokal znajduje się w Ameryce USA. Pisze tą opinie ponieważ ja zaznaczyłem quebec w geogueserze. Pozdrawiam

La comida aquí es deliciosa y a buen precio

I'm half Irish half Puerto Rican. This place makes me feel 100% BORICUA! Mofongo, alcupurias and everything was BOMB! MUY BUENO!

Very friendly staff always willing to help and accommodate you even if they have to make something fresh regardless of if it’s close to closing time or not if they have it, you got it these people maintain a neat and tidy workplace.

Some of the meat looked dry, like it’d been sitting there all day. I went with the bistec encebollado (beef with onions) which didn’t look as dry with tostones. It was great.

Food is so good. I had chicken and rice with beans and plantains. Seating inside, although it's a tight fit but will do. Friendly staff.

Im dominican and it’s so annoying to walk into this spot expecting to feel like home and there’s nothing but attitude, i always speak English and catch them talking Badly about me and they shut up real quick when i start speaking in Spanish. They’re cheap with the food and change prices on the spot, told me 24 then told me it was 26 because of potato salad that they offered to put on. Overall EL EDEN on academy is way better than this spot and they give you a lot of food and their passion fruit juice taste wayyyy better and they give you a bigger cup. 10/10 recommend everyone go to EL EDEN and not this place.

As aDomican person born and raised on the island. Food is frankly mediocre. Assuming you even get food. Rolling eyes the moment you walk in...like typical Dominican behavior. Standing there for several minutes, with no one customers in the restaurant just a lot of awkward eye contact while he/she continue to "bochinchar" to whomever is hiding in the backroom. Then roll eyes again the moment i make eye contact, they must of assumed im just black now spanish but the workers le gustan hablar mierda. Si ya estan cansado, y no quieren seguir trabajando. Cieren las malditas puerta temprano, porque cual es el punto? And imma say this to every doninucan restaurant, yall need more vegetarian options outside of rice beans and some mediocre salad. Yall need better plant based protein. Por eso están con su diabetes, provlema de presión y una maldita gordura que ni ustedes mismo se aguantan.

Sloppy service with my food. They nice but food was not all that good. This is my favorite place but the last few times not bueno!.

I honestly think the owner needs to check up on these ladies they are very lazy lately the food is good when she’s around the owner but when the owner‘s not around I don’t know you seem kind of lazy I ordered one time steak on the skillet and they told me that they don’t do that that they were going to give me steak like in juice stop onion juice I don’t want that I want to going to Scilly grilled so he told me no they don’t do that so when I asked someone else another day they told me yes I was so confused so I kind of just stopped going there

I heard some amazing things about the Mofongo and that MF delivered!! It was like I took a dive into a passionate bliss with rich flavors and boldness to my tongue. I wanted to take 5mins with each bite and take in the full experience. I felt like I was on tropic vacation. Que viva la Isla!! Phenomenal! Think I found my future wife here lol .. hopefully there's room in the family (wink). They portion size is large and prices are more than fair ..kinda feel like they should be more but clearly ownership knows what they are doing. I'm looking forward another trip there. Btw the Jamaican patties are LITTY!!! Flakey crust and spicy meat. It's great supporting small businesses but it's great when are truly AMAZING too.

The food is good but I dont like their patelitos and the 5 dollar plates dont come with biste (beef) or shivo (goat meat) but other than that they are good.

the best beef patties i’ve ever had

THIS is the place to go if you want to eat Dominican food. I've gone here since I was a little kid and I still love the food. The prices are pretty good and the portions are huge. They give you a mountain of rice and even separate bowls/plates for any side you decide to get. I don't eat sancocho from anyone but my mother, but their sacocho is just as good as my mothers is.

Great people, great place. This restaurant gave a food donation to my daughter for her school fundraiser without hesitation. It is nice to know there are still GREAT people in this world we live in. Go get dinner there you will Not be disappointed

My spot good prices and food always hits the spot.

Usually they serve bigger portions of food. Today they gave me a $6 plate that was more like a $5 plate. Still really delicious just wish I had more food on my plate.

Should keep up with replenishing the food better. Most times I go they are out of the important stuff people want. Decent prices tho

Mainly went for spicy beef meat pie and fried pork but the lady was saying something I couldn't understand.. something like.."it's not fresh or its been sitting there too long" so we ended up getting the yellow rice with the red sauce and mac salad. Food was good but they should at least have 1 person who speaks English because we would have ordered more if there was better communication. Price was reasonable. Parking is a hit or miss off the side walk.. they dont have their own parking for the restaurant and it's a busy street.

This place was busy and friendly. Went for lunch with my son one afternoon. The food was wonderful and so were the people. The owner let me taste a few dishes that I wasn’t familiar with, and everything was just amazing!

Best place to get rice and bean sauce!

Really amazing food and huge portions for super low prices! The five dollar plate of rice and chicken fed me lunch and dinner. They also have a large selection of drinks and will open them for you even if you’re taking an order to go! Fast and quality service I defiantly recommend this place
