Small little pizzeria. Which is great, reminded me of back home. NYC pizza in small town Alabama. It's almost a 2 hour drive, but I will do it more than I probably should ...lol

Pretty good but very overpriced... BEFORE they charge extra for using a card. I wasn't told about the upcharge...shouldn't have to pay extra because this business wants to not claim cash

I recently returned to Alabama Adventure amusement park for the first time in nearly 20 years (it was still Visionland back then). When I realized my hotel was a mere 5 minutes away from Carpenetti's, I knew I had to also revisit them while in the area, as well. Was it just as good as I remembered from all those years ago? Why yes it was...perhaps even better! Still great quality food at a fair price with a staff that takes the time to get the customer's order right the first time. Try finding that kind of service and quality at one of the big chain pizzerias. Spoiler: You won't. Glad that Carpenetti's has been successful in their market and I hope I get the chance to visit again one day.

Great staff and great pizza. This is the only pizza we eat in the Moody area. The family is super friendly. Great local family business

True authentic flavor. Some of the best tasting pizza crust I've had in while and you can taste how it's quality cheese and toppings that they use.

I have no idea how the food is. I drove to this place on a Saturday for dinner and saw the sign on the door " Closed... we are catering an event." 5 other carloads of people pulled in and left. At least post it on your Facebook page, people really don't appreciate driving to your place and finding out you are closed on a Saturday evening. It turned out ok, I went to Charlie's BBQ in Odenville and they were open with good food. If you decide to go to carpenetti's pizza in moody, make sure you call first. Especially if it's 20 miles one way...

No frozen stuff here, everything is made fresh and oh so good! Be sure to finish it off with a cannoli.

My husband and I were driving through Alabama wanting Italian for a late lunch. We found this lil gem off I-20. We both ordered the eggplant. It was very fresh, hot and delicious. The service was very quick and attentive. The house Italian dressing was very good. We recommend the restaurant.

Pizza is a little on the floppy side. My kids loved the fried pepperoni chips. Next time, I will try the scillian pizza. Good people, good food.

The food was horrible. I imagine because they've never had better. They didn't tell me the sausage was super spicy hot. No garlic bread or bread at all.

This place is phenomenal!! If you're not dining in and you're calling for a pickup, do make sure you order at least 35-45mins before you want it bc everything is made to order, and they're usually pretty busy so it's not quick..... but it's def worth the wait! Service and food is 5/5 stars every time I go

only good thing ab this place is the food. the waitresses are incredibly rude all the time. your best bet is to order to go. last night my boyfriend and i were waiting over an hour for one large pizza and other people who were sat for 10-15 mins got theirs first. always had bad experiences with the service, only went back for the food. but i won’t be back.

3rd time eating here as I write this review and it’s quickly growing on me. I drive the 20 minute or so from Birmingham for this place. My wife wants to make this place a regular outing and that just further reinforces my opinion that the food is great.

Great place in Moody to italian food. We walked in, and a lady at the counter saw us looking, and she said yall dinning in or take out. We said in, and she said just sit anyplace you like. So the customer service was great. She came over and got our orders, and I asked for recommendations and she gave.me some options with the pizza. That is like their go-to when you want a pizza. I ordered the white pizza, which was good. Everybody was nice and the food was good.

Please keep your phones available for customer calls. I understand today was the parade but online says open. People should at least be able to go ahead and order pizza to be picked up after it’s over. Also it’s good customer experience when you are available to answer calls and explain the situation. On a good note the food is always fresh and good and we always have a good experience. Thx

This restaurant is better suited for servicing people in person or take-out. Recently, I purchased several slices of pizza from their food truck and they literally served the pizza on a paper plate. When I asked about a to-go container so that I could purchase for later, I was told they did not have any (even though I could see a tall stack of to-go containers behind them). Maybe they were saving the containers for better customers, or maybe they did not want to waste money. I don't really understand the logic. Meanwhile, I carried around my pizza on a paper plate, praying that the flies would not take over the pepperoni before I got home from the event. If you are in business to serve foot traffic customers, please be prepared to offer the basics. Even a customer in a small town like Moody deserves to have their food covered if that is their desire.

This was our first experience at Carpenetti’s Pizzeria and it was very enjoyable. We had the Garlic (bread) Knots for a shared appetizer. Sitting in a pool of butter with cheese and garlic crumbs, they were sinfully delicious. My wife had a personal size pizza with their regular sauce, pepperoni, onions, and green olives. (She loves green olives on her pizzas but can’t find them at most pizza joints.). I was afraid that a personal size pizza wouldn’t be enough for my hearty appetite so ordered a medium size pizza with their white sauce, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. Both were very very good with an excellent crusts. A word of warning, however. The medium size pizza was huge. I ate only 3 of the 8 slices and I was stuffed. In retrospect a personal size pizza which measures 10 inches across would’ve been plenty enough for me. My wife didn’t finish her pizza either, so we brought a lot of pizza home. The service was very good and the waitress was very friendly. By the way, don’t be put off by my 3 star rating for atmosphere. It wasn’t fancy, but it was more than nice enough for a pizza place.

Really authentic place! Expect a wait at busy times. Got the spaghetti with meatballs, was great, just what I was craving! Ceasar salad was amazing!

Best driver I’ve ever met and delivering pizza

Family owned and many work there. Somewhat short hours because they also care about their staff having a life.

It's one of the best pizzas I've tried! Crust is the first thing that stands out. Crispy edges with a dark undercarriage. It's very floppy towards the middle but not soggy. Garlic knots are fantastic! Laid back atmosphere. Clean inside and out with super courteous employees. Currently my top Pizza Restaurant in Alabama.

Classic pizza with great service and taste. Stop buying Dominos and Papa John’s, and start supporting your local restaurants. This is a great place to start. (be advised, get here early on friday or be prepared to meet a booked out restaurant).

Love love love there pepperoni and mushroom pizza. We get a large and it is way more than enough to feed three adults.

1 star until I get to try it. Went there at 6:30 and they were closed, no signage posted or anything. Will be more then happy to update this review after I get to try them and they update their hours of operation.

Hands down the best pizza and calzones anywhere around here. Always worth the wait. Everything is delicious. The cheesesteaks are good, too! Good group of staff. Family-owned business who deserves your attention. Special notes to Frankie and April who are stellar, sweet people. April has always taken good care of me anytime I have come in.

The best pizza around the south for certain. We come 40 miles just to pick up their pizza!! When your from NY you want good pizza here u go!!! They need to open multiple locations and just clean up. Alabama in general is in need of good pizza pie everywhere!!!

Little pricey. Food was wonderful but they forgot my salad. Other than that it would have been a 5 star.

Everything we had was excellent! Garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, side salad, pizza. We will definitely return. A lengthy check out was the only negative….everyone goes to one register….takeouts, inside diners, etc.

Food is good but the service is very lacking. If you dine in make sure you have plenty to drink when they bring you the food because you won't see the waitress again. I've done dine in twice and never got a refill and never got the check. I had to go to the counter and ask for the check so I could pay and leave. Staff is not friendly at all.

Best pizza that I have had in a long time! The authentic atmosphere is only bested by the friendly staff. I cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Best food in Moody and possibly anywhere else!

Ordered the philly cheese steak. And it had no cheese and barely any meat. Was just a whole lot of bread pretty much and was also missing the onions and had a couple peppers. Was very disappointed also the pickle fries were soggy and the rach was placed in the food boxes so we got hot ranch. I won't be back.

Update: 1/28/23...this evening my wife and returned to Carpenetti's. This time she had pepperoni pizza and I had the spaghetti and meatballs plus sausage. Spaghetti was cooked very well and meatballs were delicious. Sausage had a great flavor, with a slight bit of heat. My wife loves their pizza and enjoyed hers tonight also.

Best Philly cheese steak I've ever eaten!

We had a good experience at Carpenetti’s. I had the Alfredo and my husband had a calzone. The food was good and our server was attentive. We saw lots of people getting pizzas that looked very delicious. We ordered salads that were just okay (needed more toppings). No lemons for the tea and no Caesar dressings. Overall, we had a good experience. We will definitely go back again.

Wanna be Italian place. Thought it would be good. Very busy and had to wait for a table. Best thing I got was my Sprite. Salad, if you call it that, had 2 thin slices of tomato on day old lettuce. When the hell did people stop putting cheese, onions and good stuff on salads? Manicotti was par but nothing to write home about and way too much sauce. Not in high favor of a return visit. Hope they're pizza is better. Probably should have got that, It kinda looked edible.

My wife and I stoped at Carpenetti’s after seeing the rating on trip advisor, Wow it was a very, very good pizza. Service was friendly and fast. These guys are so much better than any chain pizza shop.

This is a local gem you don’t need to bypass. We used to live in Leeds and now drive 30 minutes just to come here for pizza. It is the best we’ve ever had honestly. Very home like feel to the restaurant. I came here throughout my entire pregnancy and would deal with the heartburn that came later because it was that good.

I'm originally from the Philly area and have been in Alabama since 1992. This is the closest to Philly style pizza I've had in bama by far, hats off to you guys. It was fantastic. I will be back. Bill.

We drove from Hoover on Saturday July 9. It was closed. There was no sign saying it was closed. All the signs said open at 4 on Saturday. It was 4:45. Tried to call to see if takeout was open and got a busy signal. Two other customers also showed up and left.

The large pizza is huge! Red sauce is really good and I will come back again to try more on the menu.
