Came across this place on Instagram about 3-4 years ago now. The service is always great and the food is amazing, highly recommend the onion soup! For lunch or dinner it's a good choice whether you want something light or decadent. They have something for everyone.

This had to be one of my best experiences. the service was wonderful. Very attentive, super nice. The food was absolutely amazing! From the bread, the appetizers and the entrees. I mean I could rave about this place all day! Definitely will be back and I highly recommend you going to check it out! The beef rigatoni! Chefs kiss. The lobster, 10/10!

Food and service were excellent!

This place is good, food is amazing. Service is good also. Place is small but very cozy in a beautiful Boca plaza. I went to have all you can eat mussels and I loved it.

The food was delicious served hot and quickly. The service was none pleasant and extremely rushed dinner for two 169.00 before gratuity and felt like we had to eat and run .

I recently had the pleasure of having dinner from Casimir and it was delicious. From the salad to the Coq au vin, green beans and potatoes ~ YUM! If you are looking for authentic & delicious French food, I’d highly recommend!!

Armand! The perfect server! The food is delicious however Armand is the perfect server! He is extremely attentive and quick to respond to all our needs. I’ve done a few reviews at other restaurants however the service was exceptional! We will be back for fine dining and excellent service.

The escargot and baguette were tasty, as were the beef bourguignon and the duck. Outdoor seating is pleasant and service was prompt.

First time dining at this gem. Food was delicious, service was excellent and the manager Michelle was very friendly and attentive! Will dine again and highly recommend!

By accident I walked into the kitchen, thought it was the bathroom. I’ve never seen anything so dirty and disgusting in my life. I would never eat there. I didn’t eat my food and I walked out never in my life have ever seen such disgusting kitchen. He was blowing his nose on top of the food, the guy behind the oven don’t eat here. Disgusting.

From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are home. Shatira, the wife of the Chef and hostess is so welcoming. Luigi, the Chef is passionate about his cooking. Such a lovely addition to Sarasota. The food is delicious. What a wonderful evening we have had dining here!

American pop (sometimes screaming) music at a French dinner on Valentine's Day - really? It sounded like what a fast-food restaurant would play. Outside, some hideous beat-up orange plastic chairs are mixed in with the nicer rattan bistro chairs. Indoors, the decor is yellowed and somehow unclean looking, and too many tables are sloppily squished together along the wall. The short rib boeuf bourgignon was not tender, and the Caesar salad dressing was not authentic (unusually creamy and bland). The onion soup and duck were good but not exceptional. The service was good, except for a bus girl's slamming down dishes with a frown as she set the table next to us. I so wanted to like this restaurant, but we won't be back. No French panache here.

A so so place with so so food with so so atmosphere but the service was even worst. It took forever to get a refill on iced tea and I had to get up to ask for the bill. I would have been better off at the Bagle place in walking distance from BRIGHTLINE.

This is a vrry popular place but the three of us do not know why. The iced tea was weak as water. It took 38 minutes for a refill. We hoped it would be better....it wasnt. Omellettes so so. Just a ho hum place in BOCA.

The only thing about this restaurant that my sister and I truly liked was the atmosphere. We were a party of 6 ladies who came to this restaurant for our friend's 80th birthday. She chose the restaurant. None of us said anything to her about our disappointment. The first thing we noticed on this very sparse menu was the outrageously high prices. Five of us ordered muscles that tasted okay; JUST OKAY! The portion was generous but 50% of the muscles were closed for all of us (not safe to open muscles). I told the waiter that the 5 of us who had muscles had half of them closed. He nodded his head and didn't say or do anything to accommodate that. Because it was a special party none of us complained, but we won't be going back! The escargot didn't taste fresh. The desserts were awful. They say it's a French restaurant but it's no more French than I am and I'm not! The waiter was arrogant and flippant (too bad I forgot his name). In my opinion, this lovely little restaurant is doing it all wrong and if they don't succeed it's for reasons stated above (1) pricey (2) food does not match the price (3) waiter is not customer service friendly. Experience it and see for yourself.

Excellent quaint bistro style French restaurant in the heart of old Boca. We found this place entirely by searching for French Onion soup in the area. We walked in around 2pm on a Weds and were promptly greeted and sat at a nice table inside. The interior is very clean and has old world French Bistro feel. The menu is relatively small and to the point which I personally prefer. We ordered French Onion Soup, Provence sandwich, Short Rib Rigatoni, and a Creme Brule. The French Onion soup was undoubtedly the best I've ever had. Prepared perfectly with an amazingly flavorful broth without being too salty. The huge helping of cheese was a mix of Swiss and Gruyere and absolutely perfect. Even the crouton in the soup was perfect. Amazing soup 10/10. The bread basket was delicious. Very simple and tasty. The Provence sandwich was crispy, saucy, flavorful, and amazing. The French fries that accompanied it were super crispy and delicious. The Short Rib Rigatoni is a LOT of different flavors going on at once. A perfect portion of short rib and Rigatoni with peas, tomatoes, and a deeply flavorful sauce. This bold dish combines a lot of various herbs together and makes quite a statement. Very highly recommend if you like traditional French flavored cuisine. Finally, the Creme Brule was served perfectly. They flambaed the sugar on top to order, leaving a hot sugar crust the way it was intended to be. Absolutely incredible. Best Creme Brule I've ever had. Overall, this place came in at about $100 for 2 people. Expensive-ish, but worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give it a try if you're in the area and want good French food!

This is a great little French Bistro! We had the foie gras, French onion soup, crispy duck and red snapper (one of the specials). Everything was delicious and fresh! There is also a nice wine selection. The service was great and parking was easy to find since we were part of the early dinner crowd. There is valet parking if you prefer. I highly recommend this place and will definitely dine there again.

The restaurant was very nice and calm. Felt like I was in France, the waiter was very welcoming and well presented also knowledgeable about the menu even drinks. Every meal tasted amazing and it got better after each new meal I got. Plus the drink menu was very good as well. Well worth it.

We were lucky to get the last table available inside on a hot summer night and enjoyed delicious salad and swas and onion soup and escargot and wine and her lovely evening from beginning to end. I have nothing to complain about.

We had Moules Mariniere (excellent) and Cajun Chicken (very good). Proper vinaigrette dressing on the salad. We spent a lot of time in France and were not disappointed by the food here. Good service, fair price. Like lots of restaurants here, Casimir is in a sort of small mall/retail park so the ambience is not super romantic as you look out onto a car park. We had a very late lunch (3pm) so we were almost the only customers.

Lovely spot for lunch. Pricey but reasonable for the area. Great salmon, spinach, quiche and creme brulee. When you need a bit of indulgence, and some light jazz at lunch, some cool your heels here inside on a hot summer day.

The best Duck I ever had in my life. They should add to the Chardonnay menu. Otherwise, all good!

Had a tasty lunch of their house sandwich and the mushroom soup of the day. My lunch mate had the French onion soup and it looked great. Our server was very attentive.

We stopped in with some folks for dinner while in Boca this week. We all went with the Duck, which is the specialty of the restaurant. Exquisite service and outdoor seating on a wonderful, cool night. I really wanted te amazing sounding desserts, but keeping to my new plan stayed away.

First time tonight eating at this wonderful restaurant. Best french onion soup I’ve had in years, terrific perfectly cooked steak with an amazing Roquefort cheese steak sauce and fries with ketchup, followed by an enormous insanely flavorful peach ice cream dessert. Really good service. And i was able to take as long as i wanted from soup to entree to desert. Five stars to this truly wonderful restaurant

Update: Wine was for cooking. (Balkanik tactics and sub-par courses make for a mediocre experience: we noticed the hostess walk out to the nearby grocery store and bring back a few Carlo Rossi red wine jugs (unmistakable shape and I could see the label thru the gray doubled plastic bags) - so if your Prisoner wine glass tastes different, you know why!) Lol

Went with another couple. Everyone was fine.

First time here and I have no idea why I haven’t come before. We absolutely loved this place, Julie was an amazing server, and Pierre came by and asked us how we were doing. We felt welcomed immediately and the food was extraordinarily delicious. Beautiful setting, authentic French food, I loved it. Recommend to anyone wanting a great experience. CRISPY Duck l’orange and escargot 🐌 for me, Hubby had French onion soup and Beef Ribs.

Waited one hour and 20 mins and never got our food. It wasn't even crowded. Manager claimed they lost the ticket even though we reminded the waitress several times..its not that hard to make eggs Benedict and caesar salad. Will never go back.

This is handsdown the best French restaurant I've been to In South Florida. It's the beef borgunion for me. Service is amazing. Food is incredible. I have nothing negative to say about this place at all.

I was pleased with my first visit to Casimir French Bistro. I was singing today for FAU commencement and only had a little time to have a nice dinner before heading back for the nighttime graduation. The Italian place next door was closed for dinner, so I chose this place. I was happy with the selection, the atmosphere, and the service at the restaurant. I could not have asked for a more attentive waiter. The escargot was flavorful. The bread was definitely needed! Forget the butter if you get this appetizer. For my meal, I had the Short Rib Rigatoni. While the presentation was lovely, it leaned toward comfort food. The meat was cooked extremely well, but it was not light. I didn’t have any wine with this meal, but I would get a nice red to pair with the rigatoni. The outdoor seating was relaxing and enjoyable. Choose the outdoor option only if there is a breeze.

Wonderful experience! We just returned from a trip to France, and this little gem had authentic charm. Food was delicious. Generous portions. Staff were very attentive. We will definitely be going back.

Stopped in for lunch. Never been before. Everything was great and service was excellent. It is very laid back, if the food takes time sit back have a glass of wine and relax. Food was worth the wait imho.

Amazing food, service and place!

Disappointed for first time. Osso buco sauce was overpowering. Veal was way to salty. None checked back to apologize. Unlikely to return.

Some changes in menu didn't turn out well. We'll give then another chance but not for a while.

Casimir was our favorite local restaurant for several years and we invited many our friends to come here. We were proud that they all loved food there. But we came today for a dinner and we’re so surprised to see how a quality of food went down. Everything what we ordered (what we used to order for years) was not good. What happened? New chef? New manager? New owner? There is no sense now to go to this restaurant again. I just would like to warn others customers about such negative changes which happened in this place.

A small intimate dining experience they now have summer specials on Thursday lobster was 1.5 lb live lobsters two sides fries spinach for a steal. We arrived for a 5:30 appointment restaurant was empty when we left about one and half hour later there were about one other couple sitting outside. They put up plastic enclosure to keep out the rain To be honest they had predicted a summer squall which is why we made an 5:30 appointment. The wine list is fantastic and the service was special. If I had known that the wine was heavily discounted I would have tried a vintage one. But my $6 (with the early bird price was as smooth a Merlot as I had ever had The french onion soup smothered with smooth bubbly cheese Was my first course which ironically I could not get in a two star Michelin Paris restaurant ( the chef came out and said if i wanted onion soup I should go to les halls my quest started with escargot with plenty of garlic sauce. For my main course). I had the l i duck with brown potatoes and mushroom I as good as I ever had. If we return to the Casimir bistro we return on Tuesday when crispy duck is 👌$10 discount

We had dinner today at Cassimir. We have had good experience, but today it was the exception. My friend’s wife ordered the special “ Coq au Vine” and it had no taste, and the consistency of the meat was hard. I ordered the Vitelo Milanesa and the oil used to fry it was burned, it had a bad after taste. The other two ordered the moules and it was ok. You guys have to put more attention to quality. This is the last time we have dinner or recommend your restaurant.

I went here for lunch with my daughter.. I’ve been here before with no issues and had a lovely time. This time was different. We sat inside. There was a table of 12 plus a few other tables were filled and a few people seated outside. We ordered right away. 2 French Onion soups, a quiche and the smoked ham and cheese on a baguette. Our soups took over 30 minutes to get to our table. The server eventually came over to us and asked if we got our soups…,,, I sad ,”No. And it’s been over 30 minutes.” Finally it came. The server never bothered to check on us, ask if we wanted more water, nor did she bring any bread to the table. While we were waiting, I noticed that the floor was getting flooded with rain water coming in from the outside.. We moved our seats to the other side of the restaurant where it was dry. The food took forever and a day . It was very good, but the service could have been MUCH better. No one apologized for the food being extremely late, and nobody apologized for the inconvenience of the flooding.

The food was pretty good and the waitress was sweet. We ate outside and there really wasn’t any other tables yet the server came flying out with 2 soups and 2 plates splashing the soups all over. There was no need to be rushing like that. The food was served to random people like it was our responsibility to put them in the proper place. When serving a $45 dish you don’t reach over a table and hand it to the customer. You coordinate with the waitress to know who’s dish is who’s and then serve from that persons side of the table. I don’t understand how the basics aren’t taught in a semi high end restaurant.

I have eaten at Casimir several times and have always enjoyed it. I ate there last week and had an unusual experience. My friend and I gave 2 credit cards and ask to split the bill in half. We each received credit card slips for half that we signed. On the way home I received ( as I alway do) an alert that a charge was put on my credit card. Unfortunately, it was for the full amount. I called the restaurant and was told that the full amount was put on my card by mistake and they reversed the charge and re- charged the correct amount. I said that they should have informed me of the mistake when they gave us the slip to sign. I sent an e mail to the restaurant and got no response about the poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but the staff should own up to the error and let the customer know. After several days, the charge was corrected on my credit card, but still no response. Food good, service ok, customer service poor.

Cute little french restaurant with an nice ambiance. Bread and butter was amazing. Then my ceasar salad cam and it was horrible. It was like greens and a little grated cheese. I think they forgot the dressing. Then last came my mussels which were luke warm only and way to creamy. I did try my wifes crispy duck and salad which was excellent and for this 3 stars.

Unattentive staff, a flower with hair in it, and a Denny's steak and McDonald fries. I expected more - much more from this restaurant based on other reviews, To the owner to manager - Tables shouldn't wobble. If they do fix them. If you can't get the patron another table. Strike One! The flowers placed on the table should be fresh and void of human hair. Your staff should pay more attention. Clean a table, place new tablecloth on the table, place silverware on the table and check to make sure the flowers in the centerpiece are fresh and free of human hair - which could end up in my food. Strike 2. We ordered off of the 3-course Menu. I ordered the NY strip (Paid an additional $9). The Steak comes with fries. What I got was a very tough piece of meat reminiscent of steak that I would expect to get at Denny's. Now, I am being unfair to Denny's - I am sure the NY strip at Denny's is better. The steak was sloppily placed on a plate over Mcdonald's style french fries. The fries were awful, tasteless, and cold, and probably the worst part of the meal. Strike 3. I hope the owners/manager read this review and take the necessary steps to improve the food and the overall customer experience.

Really pleasant atmosphere and great food.

Good selection of dishes. Crispy duck was the best of what we ordered. Pompano was the catch of the day. It was a little over cooked but tasty. Endive salad was amazing. Outdoor seating was spacious and plentiful. Waitstaff very attentive, never a drink was empty.

Best burger I have ever had for lunch. My dad and I ate their burger and it was the best. Definitely would come back to have it again.

In our search for an authentic French French restraunt. We found Casmir French Bistro had just the right balance of ambiance, attentive service and authentic food offerings that we were looking for. The French onion soup coupled with a ham and Gruyère sandwich.... perfect.

Excellent service. I had the mussels and fries while others had the duck. It was all outstanding. Nice wine menu too. What most impressed me was that the waiter knew who Casimir is - a French cartoon character from the 1970s, a sort of orange colored Barbie, and pointed out the doll replica hanging from the Eiffel Tower Statue on the bar. I like people who know a bit about the restaurant they work in, and he certainly did.

Wonderful atmosphere, dining experience, entertainment and service. You feel as though you’re in a quaint town in Europe.

We wanted to try different area of town for date night and are so glad we came across this jewel. Very charming and very authentic French cuisine. Loved the outdoor seating. Food had rich and deep flavors and probably the best escargot I've ever had. Highly recommend for the dining experience and cuisine.

Michelle was a god send on Christmas Day. She came to work when no one else did and we were so lucky to run into her. My brother made me fight him and hour earlier which drove up the enzymes in my tummy. I had to find a place to eat but everyone was closed; except for Michelle and her team. She runs a great operation. Whoever owns this place better not lose her🤗🤗🤗

Nice bistro in a Boca Raton strip mall. It's has an old French atmosphere and outside seating. Prices are fair. Service was good, just a little bit slow. We had the Onion soup, which was very nice ,with a simple ham sandwich. Nothing too fancy, but not bad for lunch. Very clean,

Super sweet staff! They gave my me and my boyfriend a nice secluded spot and dimmed the lights for us, I really appreciate the effort they put in to give us an awesome experience. My boyfriend and I stopped here to try creme brûlée for the first time, it was amazing. Definitely returning!

June 2021, Travis our waiter was wonderful. We ordered the French Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese that was melted on-top that was simply delicious, then we ordered the Escargot that was freshly made and the snails were not spongy when you bit into them. The Escargot appetizer will keep the Vampires away especially cooked with all the garlic, parsley and butter - the dish is also delicious. For our Main dish we shared the Beef Bourguignon that was tender and you didn't need a knife to cut through the Braised Shot Ribs. All and all, this is a must try restaurant if you want a good meal. It is not cheap in price, but worth every penny.
