This has to be one of the most amazing coffee shops I’ve ever been too. They have books to read!! Talk about awesome! Come get a coffee, grab a book & enjoy! I also had a warmed up croissant; delicious! I grabbed the book, Brave & Bold.

Stopped on our road trip from Seattle to Boise. Super cute shop in the back of a church. Owner was so nice and the coffee was amazing!

Sweet location, really cool building & atmosphere. The barista was friendly and willing to chat, which I appreciated. I ordered a smoked maple latte, which was delicious.

Great coffee and food and even better service. We came in two days in a row with large orders and had the same barista both times. He was very friendly and accommodating even when he was very busy. We appreciate the service and quality coffee.

Neat eclectic environment. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, bread was crispy. Delicious oatmilk latte. Nice quiet place to get some work done or reading.

The best coffee in Yakima? Yup. I tried every coffee roaster, stand, and shop in Yakima. This is the most friendly shop, with the best offerings, and everything is made with passion and care. The homemade baked goods (loaves and sandwiches) are a great value. The house made syrups and flavorings are excellent. They also rotate roasts from all around - introducing locals and passerbys to unique experiences. Hands down the easiest recommendation in Yakima. Oh, their chai is one of the best I've ever had.

Best coffee this side of the state by a huge margin

Fewer menu items as compared to a similarly-priced café, and the lobby is "tighter" than photos on Google Maps would have you believe (a discrepency new to me). But seeing that space first-hand made clear a vision that my server complimented well; he was conversational, and TRULY attentive throughout my stay. Adventure novels and poetry collections might keep you company, too. Try their mocha with whip!

Coffee is fantastic! Have multiple roasts available to choose between! They also sell super fresh high quality beans! Great inside atmosphere. Absolute Gem for downtown.

Located in the back of Yakima Vineyard, this unassuming little coffee shop packs a serious punch! This is a specialty coffee shop that knows what it’s doing in making a premium cup of coffee.

Warm and friendly atmosphere! The second I walked into this establishment, I was greeted by a friendly face ready to make a coffee. The options are minimal but don’t let that deter you from asking what specialty in-house made syrups are available (no Torani in sight!). I could taste the rich coffee in the americano I ordered. I would definitely come back to visit soon! Street parking and the have some parking located next to the alley. Don’t let parking deter you from trying a great cup of coffee. The entrance is located by alley way with a ramp making it accessible for a wheelchair.

Such a nice relaxing atmosphere! Theres gorgeous plants everywhere! Coffee is also amazing! I had an americano with their homemade vanilla and cardamom syrup and it was delicious! Definitely a place you need to check out and visit if you haven't already!

Swung into Catalyst while visiting from out of town and looking for a spot to get some work done, for a couple hours. So glad I checked this place out! The shop is tucked away in the corner of an older church with beautiful stained glass windows. Inside the shop is cozy, with plenty of seating, and super cute decor (gotta love a place with plants, old books, and arm chairs). I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and a smoked maple latte while working, and took a drip coffee with me for the road. Sandwich was solid, and both the espresso and drip were perfection (loved the syrup in the latte, especially). Also, got a chance to chat with Alaena, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations for other places to check out (and the music playlist was on point!) If you're in the area and looking for some great coffee, in a cozy spot, with great service, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Best chai latte ever!!! Traveling through and found the BEST.

Stopped by before hitting the mountain for the day. Was greeted by the owner in a friendly manner. This appears to be a small shop with a focus on quality and people. I’m a picky coffee person (non-milk drinks), and this coffee is definitely worth coming back for. Very good. I was skeptical I’d find something good in the area, but this checks the boxes. Great coffee, and the experience was pleasant. 🙌🏻

UPDATE!!! Catalyst Coffee makes the very Chai Tea - FROM SCRATCH - chai tea!!! The owner was working the counter today and explained that they use a mortar and pestle to grind up the spices for chai tea. I’m not sure if I know of any other restaurants or coffee shops that do this for chai tea latte, but it’s amazing tasting! This is a labor of love, indeed. Thank you Catalyst for putting in effort to make things amazing! ❤️ they also sell a couple of breakfast sandwiches, I highly recommend the “Fancy” (I get mine without an egg and it’s delicious). I’m in love! It’s a delightful atmosphere, the pastries are gluten free (and some are also vegan/gluten free… AND VERY WELL PRICED!!!), and I am greatly enjoying my Chai Tea Latte made with Oat Milk. So excited to see this place open in Yakima! Thank you so much, Catalyst Coffee! ❤️ We will definitely be back. Price samples: 20oz Chai Tea Latte = $5.00 8oz Chai Tea Latte = $3.50 Gluten Free Vegan Moon Cookie = $2.50!!! Gluten Free Scone = $4.00 *the owner explained that the pastries are delivered raw and frozen and that they bake them here. Truly a blessing for people that have food restrictions or preferences to pay “normal” cafe pastry prices.

Who doesn’t love a downtown coffee shop tucked into a historic church. A nice break away from ordinary. Friendly and knowledgeable baristas featuring local artisan coffees hand selected for the day. Will be back. Keep up the great work and even better coffee.

We were in town for a family reunion and needed some good coffee and this was pretty close to our hotel. The place had a really nice vibe and the coffee was great. And the guy running it was friendly and interesting to talk to. We learned some cool things about Yakima.Definitely worth stopping in at!

Such a great place to sit and work. Coffee is amazing. My first time there I could tell the owner (I'm assuming) cared about his customers and created relationships with regulars. I'll definitely be going back to work from here again!

What a great little place. You have to go just to see the space it is in. On the side of a church that is amazing. But even better the coffee is really good and the owner was great to talk with. Was looking for a coffee shop where I could sit and enjoy my latte, boy was I delighted with finding Catalyst! I tried they’re house made cardamom syrup in my latte, yum! The owner/coffee purveyor was so nice and beyond knowledgeable. Loved that was kind of incognito, down the side of St. Joe’s. The old details and stained glass windows really set a unique vibe. I will be back!

Even though they are a little tucked away they are so very worth coming out to try. The iced chai tea is amazing!!! It's a cool location in the back of the ond St Joe's (I'm pretty sure that's the church but it's a church nonetheless) the architecture is really cool. Thankfully the had tattoo event that brought us in.

Such a great little spot. We stumbled upon it while looking for a good coffee stop on a road trip, and we were not disappointed! They have incredible homemade syrups. The atmosphere was great and felt very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Tucked into a church this sweet coffee shop is cosy whether you were relaxing in the library room or near the coffee bar. Coffee drinks were excellent. Alena the co owner is really helpful and friendly. I saw her brew a fresh pot of coffee for someone so it would be fresher.

Coffee and homemade chai as good as it gets. Beautiful stained glass windows but feels very separate from the church building it shares walls with. Big open main room for meeting with friends and a cozy reading room for a few hours of peace. Definitely a must try

Visiting from out of town and was deeply impressed. They used a house-made flavoring in my mocha: Mayan Mocha- cinnamon and cayenne. So delicious!

IT'S AROUND THE SIDE OF THE CHURCH. They really like trying small roasteries to find the best beans. Very good espresso shots and a really good Fancy Lady breakfast sandwich.
