Our meal and the service were excellent... as always. By far... my most favorite restaurant in Chapin.

Make sure you go to Catch 22 in Chapin !!! There is a "Catch Seafood" in Lexington, but don't make that mistake.

This place is soooo good. The atmosphere is great, the service is fantastic, the portion size is huge, and the food is delicious. Get the hush puppies ! The friend shrimp and flounder plate is yummy! One of our favorite spots !

The very expensive prime rib was cooked to well when I asked for medium and was supposed to be 12oz. I bet it was closer to 10oz and had a good amount of fat. Service was mediocre.

Food was incredible! Cooked perfectly and delicious. They were incredibly busy but service was still good. Seemed family friendly, but definitely had more adults. It was a fun night out.

We ordered a little bit of everything, fried oysters, fried scallops, ribeye & the salmon special, sides & appetizers. Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We were all very pleased. We'll be back!

TripAdviser had good reviews on this restaurant. We took family here for dinner one night and their seafood was very good. They had She Crab Soup, my favorite, various fish dinners, and fried oysters. The little restaurant is clean, and the service was great. I would highly recommend if you like fresh seafood.

Amazing seafood at great prices. The salmon with crayfish sauce was excellent and the shrimp and grits perfect. The greens have a sweet flavor that can be overcome with the provided hot vinegar. The hush puppies are as good as any I've had.

We went for lunch around 3 on a Wednesday, it was great! Not many others there so the service was quick. Our server, Taryn, was amazing. She’s very attentive, friendly & just a great spirit. If you can sit in her section I’d absolutely recommend it. Our food was hot and delicious! My new favorite spot in Chapin.

My husband brought me here today for my Birthday--It was our first time, and it was delightful! From great music('80's) playing at just the right volume to the service to very little wait time for our meal to the most tender salmon special!! Just terrific!!!

Oh man, we will be back! What a surprise, this place needs to be on your "seafood eat here next list". Expected the usual fried fish in a paper lined plastic basket. Fooled me! Cool casual restaurant, waitress was spot on no delays. The seafood, cooked perfect. Had broiled Scallops and fried shrimp combo, yummiest! Shrimp and grits for the old man, he did share a bite with me. So shrimp and grits next week!

Went for dinner with the family for my birthday. Food was great. Service was great! Our waitress was attentive and very friendly! Hubby had dropped off a cake earlier in the day and after we finished our dinner, the waitress brought the came to the table with candles...

It is a good place for Chapin, but it is not as good as places in downtown Columbia. Prices are rather high for Chapin.

Walked right in with no trouble even though the place was busy we were seated right away. Guest and I placed orders without any problems and did not wait long for our meal to arrive! The food was excellent! Place very nice and well kept clean!

Really good food, reasonably priced (as it goes in this day and age), and a nice atmosphere...pleasantly surprised during a time when most restaurants are a hit or miss...this experience was a "hit".

Catch 22 is consistently very good!

This restaurant is amazing. I'm a South Carolina native who just moved from Charleston to Irmo, and this is hands down the best shrimp and grits I've ever had at a restaurant! The grits are creamy and delicious, the andouille was just the right kind of spicy, and the shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked. My wife got the seafood platter, and she loved her dinner as well. Her fried fish was nice and crunchy, the way it ought to be. I do wish they had an up-to-date menu on their Facebook page, but otherwise it's a great seafood restaurant. Highly recommended!

Visiting from Va. & ate here with friends. Enjoyed the generous, tasty crabcakes & 6 hush puppies. Had the creamy grits with bacon & cheese. Great, friendly service. We will be back!

My wife and I returned after a bout a year and really enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere is warm in a very moderate sized restaurant. The wine list is very basic so we had a glass of house Chardonnay. I had a cup of a shrimp sausage gumbo, which was good. My wife had she crab soup for an app and she enjoyed it. She had a Catch 22 salad which she liked. I had a spinach strawberry salad which was very good. The service was fine and we’ll return again. It was a good visit and enjoyable.

The food was tasty with a nice variety of choices. Our server, Brandi, did an excellent job of answering our questions and making recommendations. The pace of our meal was good and we enjoyed our time there with our friends.

Went by with friends Saturday evening at 5:45 and the place was dark and closed. Chapin sc is the weirdest place on earth. Carolina / Clemson was playing so I guess the little world around here shuts down. A restaurant closed on a Saturday night, wow, never again going to any businesses in Chapin, crazy.

The food was great. The service was awesome. Loved the salmon grits and collards. The blondie with ice cream really hit the spot. Tried the honey BBQ salmon tonight and it was excellent. Salmon melted in my mouth.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration for our family of 18 tonight at Catch 22. We sat at one long table (we requested) enjoyed a variety of delicious, tasty food ..crab legs, shrimp, salmon, chicken Alfredo, steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus topped our "favorites" list. Very generous portions. Our server Karen, was so kind and patient with our happy, loud family with 5 young children. We hope we didn't upset other patrons with the balloons and cake and our little ones excitement! Great experience, we will be back!

I checked Google reviews, and it is not up to date. They do not have fresh oysters. Tried their stuffed flounder and hush puppies. The food was good, and the bartender was amazing.

If you see whole fried flounder on the special board, get it. The waitress tells you whole fried flounder is the special tonight, get it. If you are walking through the grocery store and hear somebody say Catch 22 has the whole fried flounder on special tonight; you're going to Catch 22 that night. If you don't get the hush puppies with it, just go home, pack up, and leave town. Throw your Southern card away.

Everything was great. We had a party of six. It could not have been any better.

Food was great ! Fresh shrimp , hot fries and the coleslaw was good although it is only cabbage no color but green (I.e. no carrots , purple cabbage) .Everything was seasoned nicely but not a ' pretty plate ' just fried food on a plate with a little bowl on the side of ground green cabbage . The whole place needs to be refurbished , looking a bit worn down .

Perfect for someone who wants superb food in a relaxed setting. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked.we had everything from crab legs to chicken marsala and everything fried was perfect. I would go here over and over. Best food I have had in a long time and I eat out a lot!

Drove by this place for years and finally stopped for dinner. Outstanding choice. Great food, inexpensive and nice staff. We all tried something different and ended up sharing the entire meal. We are headed back.

We went for the first time since moving to Chapin and it was delicious. I had the seafood platter and it was better than the seafood I have eaten recently in Charleston. My husband had the crab stuffed flounder and it was equally delicious. Service was also spot on. We will definitely be back!

WOW! Jist tried it for the first time today! Madelyn was sooo polite and helpful she brought our drinks promptly and our food was served in a timely manner. Food was delicious and the strawberry cake that Madelyn suggested was super delicious! Thanks for an awesome experience

Food was mediocre. Not great,but not the worst we’ve had. First time in my life I ever ordered a broiled seafood platter that did not come with melted butter. Just a scoop of butter unmelted in a little plastic side cup. Scallops were rubbery. Too much seasoning which one would think the server would ask if you wanted it or not. Probably won’t be back.

My go to spot for a late Friday lunch to end the work week. Servers are always friendly and attentive. Food is consistent and fresh. Never had a bad meal from Catch 22! Highly recommend

The flavors were spectacular! Temperatures perfect. Best fried batter I've ever had. Crispy, not soggy, not greasy or the lingering taste of grease. Internally cooked to perfection. Homemade blue cheese dressing is amazing.

One and done. The grilled grouper was chewy and underdone, didn’t finish it. Shrimp and grits, should be called mushy gravy, shrimp was chewy and the over liquified bowl literally didn’t sit well and ended up purging out of our son. The fried shrimp was fair. The fries and hush puppies were the best thing we ate. Other than subpar food, the service was super slow. Definitely a one and done. I think it’s busy because there’s not much else on the exit.

Food was good, came hot. Service was struggling, signs to tell you they are understaffed. Beware, the management now adds a convince fee to your bill to pay for use of credit card. Plan to use cash.

Followed all the good reviews to this place. Service was ok. Asked the waitress for recommendations but she had non. Was looking for some blackened COD which they said they could make. Received lightly seasoned broiled fish. Service was also lacking. Had to request the waitress multiple times.

Really good seafood, always check for specialty appetizers. Half dozen craft beers on tap. Good service. Also good deserts!

Another great meal at Catch22. The she-crab soup is spectacular! We loved the flounder and shrimp. My husband got it fried and I got it broiled, both plates perfectly cooked. Sides we all wonderful. We even ended with key lime pie. Very tart, truly delicious. Facility was clean, staff warm, friendly and competent. Nice atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant

Fast, friendly service. Good light and crispy flounder, collard greens a little sweet but good. The house made BBQ sauce on the sandwich is excellent. And they have a good 80's Playlist going on.

Underwhelming for the price. Had the shrimp and grits and was extremely disappointed. You would expect good grits in the south but they were watery and crunchy and tasted like instant grits. Gravy was watery also and was given three of four tiny pieces of sausage.

For my wifes birthday we had dinner at Catch 22. I had shrimp and grits and She had blue crab stuffed flounder. Then topped it off with chocolate lava Moulton cake and ice cream. Loved every bite!! Thanks again to the wait staff.

We have lived in the area for a few years and have never been to Catch 22 because I'm not a fan of anything to do with fish. However, my wife loves to eat all kinds. And according to her the fish is fantastic. And for those of you, like me, that prefer beef, they do have great filet mignon tips. The atmosphere is great, warm, and inviting. The bar looks well stocked and even some nice outdoor seating. I would gladly return for another wonderful evening out at Catch 22.

Very easy to find, ample parking for the handicapped ♿️ very clean restaurant and restroom 🚻 friendly staff, no draft beer but they do have it in bottles. I ordered the shrimp 🍤 platter, came with 2 sides. Had plenty to eat, everything was hot and fresh. If you are traveling through Chapin, stop by for lunch or dinner 🍽. You won't be disappointed

So glad we chose to pull off & try this place along our route! The prices were excellent and the food so good. We ordered the cream cheese & crab wontons as an appetizer and they were delicious! We also loved the blackened filet tips. Between the five of us, we tried crab cakes, grouper bites, flounder, & shrimp-all were excellent. I would never eat grits but theirs were good. We chose the covered outdoor dining -the kids could get energy out without disturbing other guests. It was beautiful & peaceful (despite my kids). Service was excellent (thank you, Katie!) and we'd definitely eat here again on our way through this area again.

After passing by many times, decided to stop in for a quick lunch. So glad I did- lunch was delicious! 😋 Tried the Cajun shrimp pasta and was very pleased. Its not on the lunch menu, but the chef was able to accomodate. Plenty of shrimp and sausage in this dish. The sauce is tasty and flavorful. I would have tolerated more spice... but I love spicy foods. Our waitress was sweet and very attentive during a busy lunch day. Even though the sign posted on the front door noted the lack of staff, our waitress was prompt and the wait for lunch wasn't bad. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. Will definitely be back!
