Cleavers did an amazing job catering for our wedding day!!! During our tasting, Tyler was honest about what details would make the meal great for our guests. He was super easy to work with!! The chicken is to die for! We loved the street corn - and the mashed potatoes were served hot and delicious. Plus - the Boursin Cream Sauce was a hit with all of our guests!! We had so many people complimenting the food and asking where it was from! Thanks so much!

A meal really makes your wedding. Food often does not travel well or stay fresh throughout the whole day. This is why we decided to book with Tyler. He was extremely honest with what food would be best for us and offered other great options. We decided to go with pork loin, Oaxaca style street corn, and loaded mashed. Our food was AMAZING!! We got compliments on it all night long, people loved it. Catering By Cleavers employees were so genuine and helpful throughout the dinner. They helped serve, as there was a carving station for our pork loin; they helped clean up, and were so attentive as they did. We can not recommend Catering by Cleavers enough, not only for their fantastic service but also for the wonderful food people could not get enough of.

We had the privilege of experiencing this amazing venue for our daughter and new son-in-laws wedding! The food was amazing!! We used Chef Tyler for our wedding and it was some of the best food we've ever had. Especially for a wedding. We got so many compliments on it and even my husband and I continued to go back for seconds and thirds. They were also extremely easy to work with and made sure to stay on top of dates for our wedding.

DREAM wedding caterer 🤩 They worked with the budget we had, helped us pick our menu, truly gourmet quality and excellent service. I didn’t expect them to clean up after our tables, but they did. They were on it! The Chef carving pork was very knowledgeable about the cooking process and was excited to share the technique with inquiring guests. VERY professional and prices were comparable to others in the area. I doubt the others would have been as AMAZING as Cleaver’s.

We had a great experience with Cleaver's when they catered for our wedding last month. The food was fantastic and we received so many compliments from our guests! For our meal we chose the pork loin and chopped chicken with Boursin cream sauce, mashed potatoes, corn and salad. The bbq meatballs and bacon jam cream cheese dip appetizers were also delicious! There was no leftovers by the end of the meal as many of our guests went back for seconds. Tyler, Mike and the rest of Cleaver's crew are great to work with from planning out your meal, food tasting and last minute changes to guest count. You won't be disappointed when booking them for your wedding or event.

I've had the pleasure to work with Chef Tyler multiple times over the last 10 years; every experience has been a top 10! His planning and communication are thorough, food is delicious, staff is professional, and service always top notch. Most recently, Cleaver's catered our company ribbon cutting event. I'm pretty sure some people came just for the food! Every detail exceeded my expectation. My recommendation - start by giving Chef Tyler the freedom to create menu. His creations are always better than what I initially think I want.

We used Cleavers Catering for the rehearsal dinner to our son’s wedding and were very pleased! Chef Tyler has a very nice selection to choose from! We had Cleaver's cater our wedding reception dinner. We had tons of compliments about the quality of the food as well as the people serving the food!! Some of our guests said it was the best wedding meal they have ever had! We had pork and shredded chicken with mash potatoes, corn, salad, and a bun. We had to change our guest count a few times and they were very flexible and understanding! Chef Tyler catered our wedding at The Atrium. When I tell you that everything was even more delicious than what everyone was hyping about, I mean it! The chicken cut like butter, the veggies melted with every savory goodness in your mouth, and the bacon jam was all the hype! Tyler was such a good communicator throughout the whole process and made sure to answer our every need. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service that came along with it was just the icing on the cake!

Two words: absolutely amazing! We had cleavers cater for our wedding day and we were so happy with choosing them. The chicken naan tacos, tomato cups and New York strip sliders were our top three favorite menu choices. Highly recommend! Tyler is very organized and provides great customer service.

Tyler and his team served dinner at our wedding back in June 2022 at the Veranda and we have still been receiving compliments from friends & family how it was one of the best if not the best “wedding food” that they’ve had! Tyler’s team served their chicken and pork entrees in a buffet line and everything went so smoothly! We also did 3 different appetizers during cocktail hour: salmon cups, meatballs, and a dip. We had zero leftovers at the end of the night as many people went up for seconds (and some for thirds) - cannot recommend enough!!

10 Stars! We fell in love with Cleavers at his Sioux Falls location many years ago. We live in Iowa. We always said to ourselves if we ever need a caterer, it would be him. We found him on-line and the rest is history. Chef Tyler is the best at providing great food and service. He is top-notch! He had me when he said there is "more than one way to do things; I need to see some pictures of the kitchen; and "this works best for travel." It's also a great comfort to know that he treats his workers well and they stay with him. Our daughter was married this past October 7th, 2022 at Crossroads Pavilion in Sheldon, IA. Chef Tyler seamlessly provided appetizers and the wedding meal. We had people coming from all over with their expectations and various food sensitives. I had SEVERAL people tell me this is the best wedding food they have ever had. I heard a lot of "that sauce," "that corn" and "the meat was so moist." The closer I got to my daughter's wedding, the greater was my comfort for hiring Chef Tyler and crew. He is fantastic and reasonable to work with. The manager at the Event Center told me I hope we get to work with him again. You can not get higher praise. Did I mention we know and love good food? You will NOT regret having Tyler and his crew.

Catering by Cleavers catered a lunch at work today and it was simply amazing!! Everyone was raving about how delicious everything was. We had the chicken sous vide, pork loin, potatoes, veggies, and a salad. The staff was so friendly and nice, so of the best I have encountered at a catered event.

We had Chef Tyler cater our daughters wedding at the Atrium on 5-27-22. The menu selection process went really well and we decided on heavy hors d'oeuvres. The Naan bread Taco's were the hit of the night, too many compliments to count! Also, received many compliments on the meatballs, the Sante Fe Lime dip with tortilla chips, the fabulous fruit options. It was all outstanding! As they say, "My compliments to the Chef!!" Just an all around excellent experience.

I cannot stress enough how important good food is at a wedding. We did not just get good food, but great service with Cleavers. The food and service was high-end, but the price was budget friendly! Tyler was absolutely awesome to work with for our wedding last winter. He was extremely accessible, quick to respond and offered great options for us to serve our guests. From the initial planning to the execution of the event, Tyler was a total professional. We were amazed by the samples we tried and were comfortable with our selections months before they were served at our wedding. To sum it up, Tyler just made the whole process easy and stress-free for us. We were so impressed with Tyler and his food that we opted to have him host both the rehearsal/groom's dinner as well as cater the wedding. His space was perfect for our small group to enjoy an intimate evening and the food and drinks were outrageously good. The entire group commented numerous times how great the food was and how cool Tyler and his crew were. He offers a laid back, classy environment with 5 star food. As for the wedding - we had a social hour between the ceremony and dinner and Tyler's hors d'oeuvres were a total hit. He offers a robust selection of dishes to serve - I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options and they definitely were snatched up quickly. To preface my review of the wedding dinner, I come from a family heavily involved in the beef industry (and many of the guests work in the industry also), so the standards for beef are pretty high. We elected to serve prime beef strip loin via a carving station and to say Tyler knocked it out of the park is a TOTAL understatement. I've never heard so many comments to the effect of "it was the best cut of meat I've ever had". So good in fact, that my soft spoken uncle who owns and operates a steakhouse/supper club in Wisconsin felt the need to stand up after dinner and announced to the crowd that it was one of the best meals he'd ever had and that Tyler deserved major kudos for his efforts. I think his words spoke to the level of professionalism in the quality of food, presentation and planning by Tyler and his team at Cleaver's. Thanks again Tyler for an A+ experience, you will be #1 on our list for any future events and I know you gained a bunch of fans the night of our wedding as well - hope to cross paths again in the future!

When discussing the food for our son's wedding we immediately thought of Chef Tyler, and no others. Tyler always provided a great variety of beautiful and delicious options at previous events, and man did he ever deliver at ours!! Everything was spectacular and provided with a very personal touch. The food was A1 one of the best food I’ve had at a wedding by far. I’m not just saying this because my wife and I booked Cleavers, but they really do have good food. We worked with Tyler at Cleavers for a wedding on August 9. Since we are from out of town, all communication until the wedding was via email. I cannot say enough about how responsive Tyler was to every request regarding the reception dinner ... from venue to menu planning to pricing. We did not have a chance to sample any of the food beforehand, so we relied on other posts for reviews. For the record, the positive reviews were 100% accurate. The food was beautiful and delicious!!! And the servers were very professional. We had plenty of food and heard RAVES about how delicious the food was. Without reservation, I give Cleavers a 5 star rating!!!

All of our friends are still in shock by how great our wedding food was, "Best wedding food ever!" and "Those tacos." were common comments throughout the evening. My husband and I did not do a taste testing because it did not work out for us to do so, but I now wish we had just so I could have another one of those AMAZING tacos! I have been to several events that have been served by Catering by Cleavers, and to say that they are the best actually does them no justice. When you walk through the door and are greeted with the delicious smell of their food, you know that you are in for a very memorable experience. Personally, I believe that the way they prepare their meats is second to none. The Chef once made a steak that he had in a sous vide the entire day and then seared the exterior to perfection before serving. It almost literally melted in my mouth with how tender it was, and the taste was better than any other cut of meat that I have had before. If you are looking for a great catering experience with extraordinary food, there really is no other option that compares to Catering by Cleavers.

As a former Chef myself, Tyler is one of the few people i would trust to handle or business caterings. Always on time and always delicious!

We hosted an unforgettable private dinner party with friends a couple of years ago. Tyler created a menu which was unique and absolutely fabulous! He served us a 5 course meal, each plate was paired with a wine or cocktail to compliment the food. He educated us on each wine and his rationale for choosing it along with recommendations for other wines. It was a wonderful night full of friends, great food and wine, and one we all look forward to doing again soon.
