We enjoyed a yummy dinner for a birthday celebration!

Food is always good. Server forgot food we ordered. He seemed overwhelmed with the 3 tables outside. Maybe he had more inside but was just chatting with the hostess when we came in. Outside is lacking in any atmosphere.

So first of all the atmosphere is pretty cool; makes it feel like a dimly lit bistro. It’s a small restaurant and is relatively quiet which is great. We got their sampler platter appetizer to start. The pita bread was very good; the reason why I gave the 3 star rating is because I personally feel like for the amount they charge you don’t get very much food. I got the chicken souvlaki and it was like $16 for two skewers, totaling maybe 8 ounces of chicken. It was marinated well but I thought I should’ve gotten more. The crazy feta wasn’t really anything special; it was basically a softer, more spreadable version of feta. If you like feta cheese then obviously you’ll like it. Their tzatziki was good; they put olive oil in it which in my opinion doesn’t really add much because the yogurt and cucumber overtook the oil flavor. My grandma got the lamb sliders and there were just two; again, I expected more for the price. In terms of service, I had to ask for refills, was left looking for someone available to order because they left us unattended for some time, etc. it was not 30+ minutes or anything, but it was longer than desired.

This Cava is quite small, with tables and chairs arranged closely together, making the dining environment feel cramped and noisy. However, the food is still good. The hummus spread has a wonderfully smooth and creamy texture, perfectly complemented by the soft pita bread. The scallop risotto is cooked just right, with the scallops being fresh and flavorful. The grilled lamb chop is excellent, with tender meat and great flavor. The chicken souvlaki looked a bit over-charred on the outside, but the taste was decent. The salmon is okay, but nothing impressive. We went during dinner time, and the place was packed, so the service was overwhelmed and not particularly attentive. We waited a long time to be acknowledged after being seated, and the food took even longer to arrive. That said, the staff were still friendly and polite.

This location of CAVA has changed such that now it is very dark (to the extent that you must use your phone light to read the menu) and very loud (very hard to have a conversation. Anyone with disabilities related to hearing or vision, or people with sensory issues, would not be able to enjoy a meal here. It does send a message that the management is not interested in welcoming anyone who might have these issues.

We randomly stopped on Sunday for brunch, and we had never been there before. The food was phenomenal. The baklava waffle was fluffy and light but decadent. Cava is proof that when you have a fantastic chef, and staff who care, the simplest ingredients become something more. I have never had eggs that delicious. 10/10 will dine again!

Always a treat, one of the most consistent dining experiences in MoCo, you will never be disappointed. The service here is always on point, the food? Delicious and it's a great atmosphere for a date night or a nice dinner amongst friends. The saganaki, the gyro, the shrimp, the Brussels sprouts, and the French toast are all on my go-to order list every time I come here. Honestly, though, everything they serve is good.

Restaurant itself is fine but the people and management hired blow my mind. Came for a dinner and glass of wine and left with a threat from someone who used to work at that location but is now at Melina. Thats crazy

We came here on a Sunday evening to celebrate our anniversary. It was not too crowded and we were seated right away without having a reservation. Everything we tried tasted great! The service was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

As a vegetarian, this place is SPECTACULAR! Lots of yummy & filling veggie options with a ton of drink pairings — sizes are great for sharing or to have on your own. The food is fresh and thoughtfully curated. I made reservations for the husband’s 30th birthday and the staff were SO welcoming and attentive. We arrived a few minutes late but the staff was so flexible. They even wrote a small handwritten card for our table congratulating him & adding a complimentary dessert on the house. Our expectations were absolutely blown away! Can’t wait to come again!!

Phenomenal food but slightly pricey

Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon - we did have a reservation but it was not crowded at all so could've also walked in! We did the brunch mania for $38 a person - it came with 3 courses and complimentary hush puppies as an appetizer. Our favorite was definitely the hush puppies they were delicious !!! We tried the crispy potato terrine, the Nutella banana fritters, the strapatsada, chicken souvlaki, pork belly and eggs, and chicken and waffles. The Nutella banana fritters were with chocolate syrup not Nutella, these weren't our favorite. The pork belly was fatty but the seasoning was great and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The chicken and waffles were really good - the chicken was very crispy - this was probably my favorite dish. My boyfriend loved the potato terrine and the chicken souvlaki. Mimosas were also 25 cents which was a great deal!

It was good. We went on a Monday before 4pm. It was pretty empty, but the food and service was good. Server told us it was small plates, but it was just enough. Nothing exceptional, but it was still good. Intimate atmosphere and space.

The moment you don’t review until it’s dreadful to come to an establishment simply because the service is god awful. I have been coming to Cava mezze forever. This location is my favorite. It’s the perfect date night spot…unless you sit at the bar which the last 3 times I have been with the same bartender has been miserable. Being someone who used to be in the industry both serving and bartending, it’s shocking such a great place can hire a bartender that is so slow, non observant and honestly in lala land. Not one single time that I’ve been there since this bartender starting working there does she not forget something or just not even pay attention to empty plate or drinks. Babe, you’re losing money on that drink you’re not asking to refill. Ordered the dip trio and asked for more bread (which they charge you for) and then forgets to put in and still charges you for … I guess it’s VERY hard to find good staff or at least train them properly. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Cava Mezze Rockville offers upscale small-plate versions of Greek dishes. The Saganaki is marvelous. The Grilled Lamb Chops with fries are not to be missed. They are out of this world! The Crispy Chicken Sliders were also shockingly complex and tasty- highly recommend. The prices reflect the upscale dishes, so don't expect to get out without spending some bucks, but it's worth it, in my estimation. We found the Grilled Shrimp and Zucchini Fritters bland. The Brussels Sprouts needed a spritz of lemon and some more salt to brighten up. The atmosphere is my biggest complaint. The restaurant is TINY and they crowd as many tables as they can in this space. It's dark and loud. My dining companion and I had to practically shout to hear each other. Still, I'll return because those lamb chops are THAT GOOD.

Poor first experience. I was expecting entrees for menu items, but apparently everything is served “tapas” style (small plates). Maybe that was my fault for not knowing. Based on the price point it seemed that portions would be bigger. I ordered lamb chops, cooked medium, and they came out rare. I could barely tell visually since the restaurant is basically pitch dark, but once I bit into it I could tell they were not cooked. The server also forgot to put our order of scallops in, so we waited about 30 minutes for them. Not impressed, not worth the cost, and we won’t be back.

First time coming and didn’t know what to expect, but service was amazing, the food was flavorful, the cocktails were satisfying. Our server Pierce was a gem through the entire dinner giving us recommendations on the menu and being very accommodating to us. I loved the tzatziki and the hummus! The serving sizes are good for tapas. The complimentary pita and harissa were delicious as well. The service was attentive and welcoming. It is pretty small inside the restaurant but there is ample outdoor seating. The lamb sliders (2 sliders) and gyros ( 3 mini gyros) were flavorful and filling. The Ekmek dessert was incredible- orange pastry cream, whipped cream, crispy pastry and honey.

Just such a good spot and a the moment I don't know why I don't come more often. The service has always been top notch when I come. I was lucky enough to visit Santorini last year and the food here is legit. Takes me back every time. The drinks are always done so well. At least in my experience. I know a lot of people think of Cava grill (which I still really like), but This place is different. This place is great for a dinner out, a date night, or even just whining down the end of a day or week. Hopefully you like it as much as I have, but I would personally always recommend this place.

This Mediterranean restaurant is still as cozy as the day it opened. Smaller portions but every bite is mouthwatering delicious. Advice: share all your plates and enjoy tasting. 3-4 plates is plenty without stuffing yourself silly.

Went here for Mother’s Day brunch. The food was good but not worth the wait and headaches. Took 30+ minutes for our first plate of food to arrive. Before the pandemic this place used to do great quality food in decent portions sizes and we loved it. Since then, the portion sizes have shrunk along with the quality. I first tried this restaurant in 2017 and was blown away at just how delicious everything was and for the cozy atmosphere it had. Over the next couple of years I noticed some changes like shrinking portion sizes, but it was all still good. Fantastic experience! We had an off night a few months ago at Cava. We were invited to come back and so glad we did. The Brussel sprouts were amazing, so crispy and the opa shrimp delicious, the beet salad so good and unique with the black pepper garlic purée.
