Today I had the pleasure of lunching at Cha-Cha-Cha on Haight Street in San Francisco, and let me tell you, it was a flavor-packed experience. The steamed mussels were tender, the ceviche was refreshingly zesty, the sautéed mushrooms were savory perfection, and the Cajun shrimp with their signature spicy cream sauce? Absolute fire. Even the fried new potatoes were on point. The vibe was unbeatable with that open-door, laid-back Haight Street atmosphere, and the staff—always smiling—made the experience even better. Plus, there’s a full bar, so you know you’re in for a good time. Highly recommend!

My family of 5 came for dinner. This place used to be packed with long waiting lines but it was kind of “not busy” on a Saturday which is rather unusual. We got a table immediately. Ordered our food and asked for bread and butter. They used to serve chips and salsa complimentary but now they want $7. Breads served was consumed and we ask for more (it was 5 of us). They refilled it twice, and on the last refill the waiter rudely told us that this would be the last refill and no more. Then when the check arrived I saw a $3 charge for bread. I asked the waiter and was told their supervisor Eric said that any bread served after the second to add $3. Penny wise and pound foolish. Now I know why this place is not so popular even on a Saturday night 7pm peak hour 😢

Been coming to this place since 1996 and it has never let me down. I always order two things: sangria and their Cajun shrimp. If you want to save time, order extra bread. You'll need it to soak up the sauce from the Cajun shrimp and instruct the waitstaff not to remove the cast iron pan until you lick off all the sauce. Ive tried just about everything over the years. At this last visit we ordered shishito peppers, paella, ceviche, quesadilla and ropa vieja. Although they have a similar menu at their Mission location this one is my fave. The decor is eclectic. Be warned though that it can get crowded after a sunny day as folks from Golden Gate Park head here. Just put your name on the list and drink a few sangria while you wait.

The food and cocktails here are incredible! I had jerk chicken, spicy oaxocan old fashioned, and bananarama, and all three were absolutely amazing! Great service and atmosphere. One of the best bar/restaurants on Haight!

Five stars might be an exaggeration, but I have been coming here for decades and the lively atmosphere and food never disappoint. Classics like the Chicken Paillard, Warm Spinach salad, Patatas Brava and Sangria will keep us coming back

We really liked this place, great latin food, great service and not so expensive. The music and ambiance are also magnificent.

Amazing food! Bring lots of company so you can try many different things. We were a party of 8 and everything was delicious 😋! We had ceviche, fried calamari, BBQ pork quesadilla, two different pork, plantain & bean dishes, paella, and a chicken dish. What a feast! Much left over. My only complaint is that they were stingy with the beans, which were fantastic. They were exceedingly generous with the pork, which I guess makes up for the beans!

Always a wait! The shrimp are a must!! Jerk chicken, plantains! House made lemonade. Very very very good! Mission location is very festive, and large bar in the center.

The service at this place was terrible. I asked for 2 type of beers and they didn't have them. I initially sat inside with my girlfriend but then decided to sit outside, I guess the waiter didn't like it cause he never went back to check on us. Food was mediocre. My girl is Cuban and said this place sucked. First and last time being here. 2 beers, 2 entrees for almost $40. One last thing, the decor is kinda creepy and spooky. Never coming back.

Okay so coming from miami this place is NOT Cuban in any way. The food was pretty horrible. Even the ham in the Cuban sandwich was not the correct one. The taste was just bad and the plantain chips omg they don’t know how to properly cut and cook plantains. The lechon asado had no flavor and the boiled yucca either. Even the cheese quesadilla was bad. The waiter was nice but overall they need to either get a new chef, one who knows Cuban food or change the menu. The glass of wine on top of it tasted like a cheap wine that had been open weeks ago. I was very disappointed!

Really cool bar with a great food menu on the happy hours! We needed some mid afternoon snack and we walked past this place and their menu is great. Many options for small food and snacks. We sat at the bar and had some empanadas and cheese sandwiches and some margaritas. The mains also look wonderful but we didn't get a chance to try it.

I would definitely come back here. Cute little location for some tapas and a pitcher of sangria after a long day. Friendly service and great food. Left satisfied! Recommend the Lechon! I would love to go back and try other menu options.

Had an amazing meal at Cha Cha Cha. The jerk quesadillas were delicious and the seafood platter was fresh and flavorful. Loved the refreshing rum punch! Friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommend for a taste of the Caribbean!

We started with the Cajun Shrimp, which was a perfect balance of flavors and textures. For the main course, I opted for the Paella Mixta, and it was cooked to perfection, with a delicious blend of sea foods that left me wanting more. My dining companions were equally impressed with their selections, particularly the Vaca Frita, which was a highlight of the meal. The dessert was the perfect end to a perfect meal. The Caramel Flan was both indulgent and light, providing a satisfying conclusion to our dining experience. The Sangria was also impressive. Overall, Chachacha exceeded my expectations in every way. Amazing food, atmosphere. Their Cajun shrimp is a MUST ORDER. The sauce, together with their free flow bread is heavenly. I could eat just that for days.

We're out-of-towners who have been coming to Cha Cha Cha for over 10 years now. We keep coming back because the ambiance is fun and lively, the food is fantastic, and the Sangria is truly amazing. Remember, you're ordering for the table with most of the plates, so order what you like and share with everyone! Especially the wings and potatoes... This place is the best!

This place is not what it once was. The food was preparation was off and not well seasoned. Ceviche had soggy and bland fish. The fried calamari had no seasoning such that the dominant aroma was the fry oil. The lechón was a very large portion but completely without flavor. My wife "let's take this mound of pork home so I can make something from it". This place was so lively and delicious 20 yrs ago

This place was great: Friendly servers, a laidback vibe and quirky decor, plus the shrimp dish was droolicious - would go back just for that!

After more than 20 years, this place remains a wonderful destination after a wonderful day out amd about in the Haight. Highly recommend a pi5cher of sangria with calamari or other appetizer of your choice. Always friendly and efficient staff.

The food was incredible! So good I had to go twice in one week. The Cajun Shrimp is absolutely ridiculous. And I have never had Salsa Verde be so good. So much food!

The best restaurant this side of town, this place never disappoints. Friends and I come on a near monthly basis and always bring out of town guests here - it's always a highlight of any visit to SF. Great vibe, consistently excellent food, and the sangria is on point. Best bread in town too. Go for the shrimp dish with the bread.

We visited for lunch. Both the service and the meal were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the Guacamole made with fresh avocado and chips,the Ceviche with plenty of ingredients and exquisite acidity. The Cubano Classico sandwich which is not commonly found in Japan. They also provided detailed explanations about the drinks. We definitely want to go again. Thank you very much.

The tapas ..Cajun shrimp is a must With Sourdough bread for the sauce.. I never forget your sangria.

I can't get over about how much I love this place! The restaurant in Height is so good. The staff are exceptional, great food, cool atmosphere, and amazing people. I can't go enough.

Late night tapas emergency and soooo glad we stopped in! Given a choice of 2 very nice tables. Service was an 11 (out of 10) and the waiter stopped us after we ordered 4 plates saying that it would be a lot of food. It wasa good thing!

The food was great, the service exceptional. We come from Europe and thought that Tapas meant the same thing here. The "Tapas" are huge compared to Spain. We ended up with way to much food, but who complains when it was so delicious.

Cha Cha Cha is a fantastic Caribbean restaurant in Los Angeles that I highly recommend. The ambiance is festive, and the food is exceptional. Be sure to try their roti—it's a tasty wrap filled with your choice of flavorful meats or veggies.

Food horrible. It tasted like they opened some pouches and heated up the food. We had the best dish they suggested. Spicy Shrimp in Currey sauce. Not!!! The appetiser, Calamari? Tasted like they took a frozen bag from somewhere, heated and put on a plate with a jar of mayonnaise on the side for dipping along with a Chipotle they got from a jar. The Jerk Chicken tasted like they made the day before and reheated. The only thing fresh was the bread. Saw someone order Guacamole and Chips. Looked like it was a Costco Buy. The only thing enjoyed was my wine and the bread. Everything else ordered SUCKED!!! paid close to $100 for nothing

You can never go wrong with Cha Cha Cha’s! We just had a huge family lunch here and ate family style. Of course our favorite Cajun shrimp and calamari was the go to. Warm spinach salad is absolutely delicious and the bread and butter is unmatched. Service is top notch, cocktails were amazing, The Mamacita was to die for!

Absolutely love this restaurant and you have you try it you never been and want to try South American food with so much flavor. The atmosphere is very authentic, staff is friendly and you have to try the pitcher of Red Sangria. Plenty of variety of food and we recommend you try the Jerk Chicken, Amazing!! And the Fried Plantains with beans and sour cream. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. Thank you and can't wait to be back soon

Good Sangria and tapas place for people watching. Post up at a table on the sidewalk and watch the tourists and locals stroll by to hear snippets of their chatter.

Food is not good. Not sure what the hype is. Servers expect you to know the food you are ordering. Not friendly at all. Not coming back.

We were so looking forward to having the same calamari experience we had the first time we dined here. The calamari was really tough and the serving size was a bit smaller than from 6 mos earlier.

I was so excited to return to this place after the mid 90s! We ordered calamari, jerk chicken, arroz con pollo, ropa vieja, salad and sangria. The sangria was perfect! Simple and good. All the other dishes were good. I felt the arroz con pollo and ropa vieja tasted very similar. The jerk chicken was the best dish by far.

Came here with my wife by accident when walking the street. Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious latin food. My wife had the burger and I enjoyed every bite of a juicy and flavorful pork leg with yucca. What a treat, we will be back for more on our next trip to SF.

Been coming to Cha Cha Cha on Haight St literally for decades. I have never tasted Sangria this good ANYWHERE in the world and I have traveled. Our favorite is the cajun shrimp but all the tapas are amazing. I have recommended dozens of friends and family and they all loved it too. I wish I got referral discounts LOL

Love Cha Cha Cha! We chose this restaurant because we wanted supremely delicious food, and since it was packed, that was the deciding factor. It did not disappoint! We tried the jerk chicken, warm mushroom spinach salad, chicken curry empanada served with greens, mussels, and a side of plantains. Every bite was a mind explosion! Our server was kind, attentive, and helpful. We first drank in the bar, where no step was skimped upon. Hands down one of the best dirty martinis I've ever had. And very cool decore. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Too dimly lit and too loud. Was also cold and kept my jacket on. Food was just okay. A little bland. Small portions. Shisito peppers were oily and tough without much taste or spice or even salt. Fried potatoes weren’t seasoned much. Bland.

Cute spot! Crowded on the last Friday night of the year--but the worst bartender I have ever encountered. Basically told me he didn't have to be friendly when confronted. Um, ok. Get another job, Aldo, if you are overwhelmed or not finding the joy in your job. YOU'RE A BARTENDER!! Catered to people at the bar who ordered food (although never came back to offer us ANYTHING--much less a glass of water). We ordered a $50 pitcher of Sangria and didn't order food much to his disappointment. Then proceeded to tell us we would have to move from the bar if someone else came and was ordering food. Ok. Well, they never came and STILL told us to move from the bar and we were never invited back. Seats stayed empty. We finished our pitcher and we went NEXT DOOR TO THE PUERTORICAN SPOT to enjoy some apps and more sangria. Incredible. Will never return.

Absolutely the best tapas experience ever! We adored every dish, with Platanos Maduros being a standout, but the Ceviche was delightful too. I am sure everything you will try you will like it! Cha Cha Cha never disappoints! From the Shrimp and chicken wings to Sangria that’s all you need. Oh yea, and keep the bread coming too. When dining with friends I will try other things but wings and shrimp get you rite every single time.

Fun Cuban inspired bar and restaurant with rustic colorful feel. Food is legit - you can watch the tasty creations being made after ordering. Mushrooms, paella are delicious. There are quesadillas for kids too.

The food was great, I had the cheese quesadillas. The ambience looks amazing and the server was nice. It's near the amoeba music store so a good place to have food when in sf before a concert or browsing through amoeba's records.

Food disappointing. The veggies in the Paella de verduras all seemed to come from a frozen veggie mix, and the rest of the paella didn't add anything special. The plantains were only okay. The fried potatoes had a great crisp, and the aoli sauce was actually very good, but the potatoes' flavor was bland like a baked potato. The guac was tasty, but the chips weren't good on their own. Overall, overpriced given that every dish made me think of a different restaurant's version of the same dish that I'd rather be eating. At the same time, nothing was disgusting, and the atmosphere were great

Great atmosphere! We visited last weekend and had the best burger! It did not disappoint. The service was great, servers were attentive and we loved the outdoor seating! Hope to return again next time we're in town!

A experiência no CHA CHA CHA foi sensacional! A decoração é diferente, chega a ser engraçada, mas é bem acolhedor o espaço. Excelente atendimento, amigável e profissional ao mesmo tempo. E a comida é deliciosa, gostamos de tudo que pedimos, inclusive nossos filhos adolescentes. Foi ótimo almoçar lá depois de explorar bem o Golden Gate Park e depois visitar as engraçadas lojas e vitrines do bairro.

Live rat in a glue trap under the bench we were sitting on at dinner. Staff did nothing to remedy the situation.
