Excellent source of smoked fish. Especially good Atlantic salmon. Says it is in Ellison Bay, but the store is in Gills Rock. Call before u go. You'll be pleased that you stopped and bought some for lunch, dinner or picnic.

This is the best smoked fish establishment on the peninsula. It's worth the trip to Gills Rock to visit and pick up smoked fish. We were staying in the area and stopped in twice as we do every visit to Door County. Once to enjoy the smoked trout and white fish while we're there and more to take home!! We stop by once a year in either Summer or Fall. The fish is perfectly smoked. The flavors are great. The staff is very friendly. We typically get the Atlantic Salmon.

Great discovery in Door County. This amazing shop sells smoked fish at the tip of the land. The salmon is not simply great, it went beyond my expectations by far: nothing I have ever had anywhere else in the world. You can appreciate the freshness of the ingredients as well as a long preserved tradition on how to produce and maintain such incredible product. My recommendation is to eat it right outdoors, where few tables are ready for you to sit at and an amazing view where time stops. Thankfully, we sat and ate, so we had the opportunity to purchase more and bring it back with us. The shop sells ice and thermal bags for you to carry the produce back with you. Had it at home a week later and it was perfectly preserved. Spreads are first class too, you could not get enough of it. Will absolutely pinpoint and be back for future purchase!

Always stop here when we are in Gill's Rock at the Northern end of Door County. Ice cream, white fish and smoked Whitefish are the things we are after. And an ice cream cone out on the deck overlooking the bay.

The smoked fish and fish dip is incredible. We stopped by and grabbed a few smoked salmon, some fish dip, and crackers and enjoyed it on the patio at a Cidery just down the road. Best smoked fish you can find.

The smoked fish is done to perfection, is the right amount of salty and very satisfying! I like the trout but the whitefish is very nice and mild. They have a cream cheese spread and crackers in salmon or whitefish options. The salmon spread barely lasted the night, it is so great on Ritz crackers!!! They also ship during the cold season so you can get smoked fish as gifts in the winter. Very friendly staff who are actually in this industry. They are knowledgeable of their wares and know how to give good recommendations and what the fish tastes like.

Charlies Smokehouse was suggested to us by several people, and it did not disappoint! We took home smoked salmon, smoked whitefish, and the delicious Cream Cheese and Smothered led Salmon Spread. If you like smoked fish, or like fish and want to try a smoked version for the first time, this is the place!

Stopped in here to check out the snacks & souvenirs - just bought some Cherry Delites but the smoked fish products looked excellent! You can see photos of the products by other reviewers, while I just took a photo of the exterior. It’s convenient to park near the marina area and walk to these small shops at Gills Rock. So be sure to stop in here - next time I’m here I will get some smoked salmon for my cracker attacks, when I just have to eat a few crackers

We like the traditionally smoked fish here! Be sure to have some bread with you so you can sit at the lakeshore, which is only a few steps away, to enjoy some smoked Whitefish (or Trout, Salmon, etc…)

I'm so very , very glad Charlie's is still here. We have been stopping by for about 20 years to get our 2 plus pounds of smoked whitefish that we eat for our Sunday lunch...it is fantastic... I'd show you a picture, but we already are it all down to skin and bones...but with that said I have a smile from ear to ear and sadness of it being completely gone...but there is plenty more where it came from...well worth the trip to Giles Rock...two thumbs up...and always get the tale part, it's the best...

Beautiful, wonderful, finger licking good! My wife and I bought a chunk of the Atlantic Smoked Salmon and we ate it on the coast with our fingers! Delicious!! Fairly cheap too for local smoked fish!

If you go all the way to the northern tip of Door County make sure you stop here! It's a really nice little shop that has souvenirs and delicious smoked foods.

Great little smokehouse. You can grab some stuff to eat and enjoy it on the Lakeview deck. Tables and chairs outside on the deck. I found it nice since you might get smoked fish on your hands. They also have a sink and soap with paper towels on the deck
