My son and I was both sick within MINUTES of eating here.. we ordered 2 completely different meals! Will never go back

Checo's is always amazing! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is phenomenal. They are always attentive to any needs and provide service with a smile even when they are packed.

Checo's Mexican Restaurant in Ellington is an absolutely wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant! This is coming from someone who lived in Denver, CO, for 28 years and had lowered expectations for Mexican Restaurants here in the Midwest. Ellington is in southern Missouri which is really unofficially considered "the south." Mexican Restaurants are definitely not in abundance and the ones that are don't meet those standards of the ones out west and in the southwest. Checo's disproved that theory! They have an extensive selection of just about anything Mexican! The family who owns and operate it have staff who are from Mexico and speak fluent Spanish! That right there made the experience even more authentic. They also have live bands and a huge outdoor patio in back. I strongly recommend!

I really tried to like this place but last few times I’ve been there it’s just been so dissatisfying. Went there again and two waitresses was arguing over who’s doing what in front of customers.
