We've ordered from here several times and it's been hit or miss. Today's order was awful which is why i'm finally writing a review. We ordered sesame chicken, soft shell crab roll and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was dried out and tasted old. Had to throw most of it away.

We have eaten here multiple times now and it has always been wonderful. Today, we stopped in to dine in and the restaurant was perfect. Nice dining area and spotless! The food was wonderful! what blows me away is how sweet the owners and workers are, they are the kindest people! This has and always will be our go-to place! If you haven’t been yet, go!

I've been coming here for years! Samuel and Chan are some of the nicest people ever. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the sushi and sashimi. My favorite is the Dragon Roll! We keep coming back because the service is nice. They remember everyone who eats there.

First time ordering the food was DISGUSTING, all of the meat in the platters were undercooked. I called in to see what could be done to make it right and got absolutely no where the people that work there just wanna rush you off the phone and make excuses for why the stuff isn’t right. Avoid this place at all cost. I wanted to add because I just received a statement from my bank and come to find out someone at this restaurant added a $3 tip to my card because we didn’t leave one, I have cameras at my door so I can see my fiancé didn’t write a tip out on the receipt. I usually tip but because the food came late I didn’t leave one. I mean it’s just $3, I just never knew it was legal for the business to add any tip they want. Be careful with this restaurant. They lack good food and integrity.

Upon ordering, the woman i spoke with was very pleasant which gave me high hopes of having good food & good service. I ordered fried chicken wontons & white rice, and my fiancé got beef and broccoli with white rice. We then waited over an hour for our food which they did let us know that it’d be a long wait. We were fine with that. I ate 2 of my chicken wontons & on the third i looked at the inside & the chicken was PINK which means it was undercooked & inedible. I asked my fiancé how his food was he said “disgusting”. I tasted it for myself & it really was horrible & also undercooked, including the vegetables. We both got plain white rice our order and even that was disappointing! We called the restaurant to express our concern & they gave very poor excuses & a disingenuous apology. Money wasted, time wasted, food wasted & in the trash. “Happy Holidays” they said. The both of us feel sick to our stomach so that may be how we’ll be spending Thanksgiving. As an honest & friendly warning, take your business elsewhere!!! 😢

I mainly order delivery service, but I did dine in once. Their food is always incredibly delicious! In my opinion, this is the best Chinese restaurant in my immediate area. Consistently great, arrives fresh and hot and always delivered by very friendly people. Awesome food!

First time ordering from here and I had nothing but a great experience! Greeted once I stepped in, my pick up ordered confirmed and brought immediately to the front desk! The atmosphere was nice for a small shop! Definitely will be ordering from here again!

This is my second time here Had the Lo mein, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Walnut Shrimp. Everything was great not too salty, not too sweet on the walnut shrimp. Fried rice and Lo mein was not too wet and not too dry, perfect! Service was great and will be a regular here 😀

This place was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. They don’t listen or follow directions I asked for special things that weren’t given. And it was just disgusting no love in their food. I asked for a refund or discount and they were not interested in doing anything for my dissatisfaction. Terrible experience

I’ve been to this place plenty of times before and was never disappointed. Fried rice was burnt no flavor, oil seemed old because everything fried had a terrible taste. My daughter got pepper steak and there was literally 3 slices of steak and a whole plate of undercooked peppers and onions…. Needless to say I won’t be returning any time soon. I’ve had better from a corner Chinese store.

Went last night and had a wonderful experience. From the kind and attentive staff to the delicious entries we ordered, everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered the wonton soup, vegetable lo mein, general Tso’s, and chicken walnut cream sauce. Everything was crispy and flavorful. Definitely recommend!

i liked everything about this cute little restaurant. the waiter was nice and very attentive. all of the food was amazing. i had a spicy tuna roll with a side of crab sticks. hot and sour soup with my entree of shrimp in garlic sauce extra spicy. i will be going back and taking my kids along.

WONDERFUL!! We come all the way from Marlton to get Chef Chans when we want Chinese take out. They are always busy - thats how popular they are! Top notch quality take out Chinese. Always super friendly. If you dont eat meat, HIGHLY recommend their tofu dishes. So many Chinese restaurants mess up tofu dishes but not here. Its always fried to a crisp, lots of flavor. WOW. We seriously LOVE supporting Chef Chans and will always come here.

Really Enjoyed the Meal, Service & Atmosphere!

I love good chinese food and my favorite restaurant near me closed recently. I have been here twice since, and this restaurant is about as good as the other. My party of 6 each ordered a combo meal. This includes the entree, an egg roll, fried rice or steamed and wanton or egg drop soup. The entrees are large with plenty to share or take home. I enjoyed the Beef and Broccoli, my family also ordered Grandfather's Chicken and a couple other combos. The servers are attentive and polite. The booths are a little small and we had 4 people in one and and two a table near it so it was a little cramped.

I didn't expect the combination dish I ordered to be all dipped and fried with barely any veggy. Oddly nobody in our party of 6 finished the cabbage stuffed egg rolls which are usually a favorite in Asian American cuisine. The flavorless rolls had a uniformly mushy filling with nothing of any interest to the pallet. Soup was hot and good and the crisp chips and sweet sauce served before the meal complimented the experience. I must say the charges here are quite reasonable and the portions filling. I took home practically my entire serving I'm planning to add some peas and bok choi to for lunch/dinner today. Eat locally, give this nice place a visit to see what you think 🤔...

First time ordering from here and I was completely satisfied. We had sesame chicken, broccoli and chicken, lomein, and steamed dumplings. Everything tasted great and the woman who took my order and greeted me when I arrived was really sweet. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I came here on lunch break and bc I live in the area I thought that it would be a good idea need less to say it wasn't. I'm suggesting this place if you like/love greasy food. The guy that works there because the majority are women servers, came to the front desk chewing his food. I felt like I was interrupting his lunch, when I'm a customer lol go figure well he said the food would be done in 2 minutes. Red flag number one. I come back in 6-7 minutes and a lady -not the motherly one but her daughter maybe, jumped down my throat telling me 1 minute and for me to have a seat. I wait there some more then the guy comes out with my order. I get to my car and reach in the bag to feel some chips I guess you call them. Full of grease one must of had grease in the pocket.. I bit it and the grease ran down my chin. Any who the order was 4 veggie spring rolls. They put them in it's spring roll bag with no napkin to absorb the grease/oil because nothing is drained of said grease let's face it, but I had more grease/oil on my coat, shirt and seat. Boy oh boy not going there again. So if you're a vegetarian 9 times out of 10 the food will have things other than veggies in your meal. That don't favor a healthy diet. Btw $9.60.

Favorite sushi and Chinese spot in my hometown! With the absolute friendliest owner, too. I should have reviewed this place ages ago. Sam always made us feel so welcomed; he would come and say warm hellos and ask how we were doing every time we went. And the food is fresh and delicious. Sam, I hope you and your family are well and I will be back someday!!

Opt for takeouts rather than in-house dining. The food was good but the random workers were rude. The older woman serving us was so sweet and very accommodating; however, there was one man who was overly comfortable, commenting on what we ordered and how much. It was very uncomfortable. We shared a dinner combo, fried rice and a salad. Took home leftovers. I was really taken back by the comment. It wasn’t just us though. He hovered over an older couple that were dining in too commenting on their organization. There were also 4 workers relaxing in the dining area talking very loudly. Their conversation volume competed with the background music. I don’t think in-house dining is a typical thing at this restaurant. It’s all very unfortunate because the service and food was good.

The flavors in these dishes are great and all the meat is cooked properly. Everyone at the restaurant is friendly and they have a nice set up inside. I placed a large order for takeout and everything was hot and fresh. Great options if you're looking for Chinese food in the Voorhees area.

They remember my name and give me a kind greeting each time I order. I'm always treated warmly and with great kindness. My order has never been wrong, even on extremely busy days. Hands down best Chinesse takeout food I've had in my life. Also, solid sushi. 5 stars is not enough. You get quality prepared food with generous portions and attention to detail. The passion for their food shows. I wouldn't mind paying more if I had to. Also, such amiable staff and courteous staff.

I havnt posted in a while and this place got me out of my slump.... Was working a long day at the office and had to stay late. My friend offers to grab chinese food and all of our usual places are closed so he comes here. He comes back and tells me they insisted they only had a large orange chicken because they had to put a whole orange into it every time. Let me tell you, never and i mean NEVER have i had such delectable orange chicken. Panda express may have invented it but Chef Chan made it taste SUPERB. Not overly sweet, supremely aromatic, and absolutely PREMIUM dark meat for the chicken. I was amazed. Honestly going to be hard to order anywhere else other than this place from now. God bless Chef Chan and his staff.

Growing up in a big city, I never thought that I'd find the best Chinese food I've ever had in the suburbs, but that's exactly what this is. Absolute top notch place.

Terrific food and the kindest people. Our waitress was so thoughtful! The owner is very welcoming. The Orange Chicken was fried to perfection and not too sweet. The Maifun Singaporean noodles to die for! Everything was A+

Nice flavor on the generals but not crunchy enough. Pork fried rice consisted of frying brown rice and raw bacon pieces, pretty gross whatever they were trying to pull off. I think they’re trying to over do it. Super crunchy egg roll 👍🏼 Jesus is coming soon 💉🧬👽🦍🗡

Great food, friendly accommodating staff.

The miso soup and sushi are really good (love the bagel roll). We live in an apt complex down the street so have visited a few times in person (everyone is super nice and friendly) and have also had delivery twice, which was great service too. One of the delivery orders I made was on Christmas Day for dinner - I didn't know they were flooded with orders, but should have assumed- but the lady graciously called soon after I ordered to let me know it would take longer than expected and if that was OK. It actually didn't take much longer, AND they gave us a whole extra quart of delicious meat & veg soup that I didn't order, maybe for the wait? But it was really nice, thank you. We're always satisfied with Chef Chan's. Thank you for the yummy food, even on holidays!!!

This place is truly a hidden gem. For those out there who have never tried there food then your doing yourself a severe injustice by not adding this amazing restaurant to your list of favorite spots. For those of you who know how amazing this place is then I don't really need to tell you anything. You all have been loyal customers for years and Sam knows you personally like one big family. Every time I go in they seem to know every customer like they have known each other for years and the truth is they have because nobody can just go once. It really is one of those rare places where every item on the menu is cooked to perfection. No matter how many times you go the food will always amaze you. It's a blessing to have a place that serves such fine cuisine and makes you feel so loved in our area. I hope they are around for many years to come !!!

My family and I have been going to Samuel and chef Chan's for a very long time and they never disappoint! The only problem is that now we dislike every other place we go! Samuel chef Chan's is so good that we refuse to even try other places anymore! So just wanted to say thanks for ruining us and even more importantly thanks for all the years of great food and service! Fyi I don't think anyone that runs this place could be rude even if they tried! They are straight to the point, they're efficient, some people seee that as rude plus I do believe that some cultural differences do apply here. Also, if you take the time to say hello they will never forget you. Sushi always fresh and reasonable. People just expect places to kiss their butts and write reviews over minute issues such as bad wonton or whatever. Order something like grandfather shrimp or dragon roll with tobiko!
