Griot was good but they didn't make haitian rice it was regular rice with peas

Conch fritters!!!!!! This place knows what they are doing.

I haven't visited this location on 119 Street and 13 Ave in over a year. I purchased 2 combos. 1) the filet fish, with rice & and beans(it was good), 2) wet wings with rice & beans. (HORRIBLE) The wings were twice cooked, TOO salty, hard, and tight in texture. They were very tiny in size. They were too young to be cooked. I couldn't even eat them and too embarrassed to share. My goodness! I called and called and called to share my review, but there was no answer, and the answering service says the mailbox is full. If I had time to take it back, I would've, but I had to get to work. Food is too expensive to not be served with good quality. I'll keep going to the city for now on and I hope the new location coming up in North Miami is equally as good as in the city and Miami Gardens. I'm a foodie. Literally. Totally dissatisfied.

I ordered Uber eats, oxtail and rice and Pork and rice. They packaged oxtail no rice and pork and fried chicken! I did not eat either. Wasted 100.00 on food that did not properly got to me the way I ordered it. Next time just cancel the order if you don’t have what I order. I haven’t purse on getting my money back because I had to throw away food that I didn’t come to me as ordered. Every time I call, You don’t answer!

I would advise these people to say we are out of that. Instead of giving out fatty food instead. I paid the same price for fatty food as if it was good cooked meat. 90% was fat. I had purchased two orders. Lost two customers.

This place is atmospheric to the max. At our lunchtime there was parking along the west side of the building. The interior is colorful, tropical, ramshackle, with lots of framed photos of people. You order at the counter, choose your table and wait. The food comes out, they call out your name and find your way to the counter. Then you head back to your table, unpack the neatly bagged and boxed food. The food is simple, well-prepared and cooked correctly. My pal tried the griot--fried marinated seasoned pork chunks, served with a savory gravy. As good as it gets. I had the conch salad that was absolutely about the best I've had outside of Nassau. Marinated in a mixture of vinegar, scotch bonnet chilé pepper, lime juice and tomato juice, this version had the perfectly cut and sized chunks of tender, sweet conch offset by the requisite chopped tomatoes, bell peppers and onions. Not ONE morsel of that conch was tough and chewy. I also had the conch fritters (seeing a pattern?) which were filled with smaller pieces of that amazingly sweet conch, deep fried in a light, airy batter that melted in my mouth. Their recipe was unique, producing fritter that was closer to a Krispy Kreme doughnut in texture than a hush puppy. The pickliz was suitably scorching, providing a cole slaw effect on the palate but with a kick. The maduros (fried ripe bananas) and rice are ubiquitous, found in every Caribbean restaurant anywhere. Their versions are fine, unexceptional. That red velvet cake is homemade and delicious! We had a great time at Chef Creole. Next time I'm checking out their location closer to my home.

The service horrible. And he was rude and I didn't do or say anything to the guy who was bagging the customer food. He was mad at one of the customer and took it out on me. Then I paid 19$ for a plate with baby chicken wings and 2 scoop of rice. I seen other people food who order before me plate full so when I asked the man he got a attitude with me. The food is just not how it used to be in the crazy part about it I set there for a whole hour for the foolishness never again

I am a Haitian American and grew up to everything on the menu. I have not had a home cooked meal in over 15 years. Today I get like I was back home in my grandma’s apartment eating! You want to some real Haitian food come get it!

I love their black rice with that turkey gravy with the griot and pickles i probably spelled it wrong but all my island people know what I'm talking about. I never knew it was that close I'm going to be going there every Friday Saturday and Sunday since the wife doesn't cook on the weekend lol. But the food is amazing

I give it a five-star when it comes to the food but when it comes to calling and placing an order forget about it they're lucky that I'm giving number to Star because they do not answer the phone I have called him 15 times and they don't answer if you don't order online or go over there in person the service is now C other than that the food is to die for.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Ordered the oxtail based on previous reviews and that was a mistake. The meal was overpriced and the oxtail (hardly any) were very tiny pieces with a lot of sauce.

The people there are great but limited on everything they can provide to the customers. You can only have one sauce per plate no extras can be sold. Now they change the sauce cup size to be half of what they usually provide and still can’t buy extra. They have enough of the consumers money rolling in that business that they can do better on the condiments. Tighten up Chef Creole

Went to this place last night the food is usually good overpriced but usually good I ordered the oxtail dinner which was $22 they only gave me three oxtails watery rice soggy salad and disrespectful customer service I'm never going there again

I often come here for lunch and had already tried several dishes. Note: you can eat in but this location is very casual and more like take out setting. I typically seat by the bar. Geniune Haitian inspired cusine. Great flavors, well seasoned and the right amount of spices. A marvelous symphony of Caribbean flavors exploding in your taste buds. A must visit while in Miami.
