I always like the food. I have never come across anything I didn't like there.

Second time and wasn’t disappointed! They close at 8 on Wednesday’s I got there at 7:35 . So I ordered takeout shrimp fettuccine, house salad with fig vinaigrette dressing and peach bread pudding for dessert. Service was fast and friendly. Good meal to end my day .

Excellent. No short cuts taken here.

THE BEST FOOD IN ALL OF ACADIA !!! THE FRIED OYSTERS WITH PEPPER JELLY DRIZZLE WERE DELICIOUS !!! AND, THE BACON CREAM SAUCE ON THE SHRIMP MORREL HAD THE FANTASTIC FLAVOR !!! I AM A 72 YEAR OLD MAN, AND I HAVE EATEN IN ALMOST EVERY RESTAURANT IN ALL OF THE CITIES AND TOWNS IN THE AREA !!! CHEF ROY'S IS THE BEST !!! THE WAITRESS EVEN PRAYED FOR ME, FOR MY UPCOMING SURGERY !!!

Great food, great staff, quiet place without all the irritating background music. Portions are large and food is rich (hey, it's Louisiana), so go when you're hungry or plan to split a dish with someone. Came here several years ago. I think it was a different chef but the food was great back then too. We plan to go back next time we're in the area.

Yum yum gum gum. This place was delicious. Their fried fish was really good and their fried shrimp was really good too. Their crab cake were super good. Please eat here. We stopped here on our way to ATL because we wanted some seafood and it did not disappoint. The petite portions were perfect for lunch, and the crab cake and shrimp were amazing. The owner came by, he was very kind and gave us area recommendations. The service was great and fast.

We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We both found our food very delicious. Waitress was great and professional. The owner was very attentive checking on us and wished us a happy anniversary. We will definitely not stay away from Chef Roy as long as we did.

We were a party of five and everyone one of us loves our food. Our waitress Deannie was the sweetest and most attentive. The owner came over to speak with us and was so fun. If we are ever in the area again this will be a must stop.

Food was amazingly good. I indulged in the cheifs platter, each item had its on individual tast, the flavorings were really good. It was well worth the price. Pam our server was very cheerful, keep my wife and I informed about our order at all times keep our drinks filled,

Came in for lunch and was super impressed by the immediate politeness and hospitality. Seafood was incredible and one of the owners came by and offered us some gumbo and bread pudding on the house, such a great experience overall!

This was the best food we had in Louisiana it's well worth coming a couple of blocks off the highway to this large restaurant with a huge parking lot we even had a trailer we were able to come around back and park on the side

Great food. A little cramped and had a one person restroom, but other than that it's a great place.

Took me way to long to actually try this restaurant. It is pretty pricey but well worth it, especially for the lunch menu. The white crab lake was well worth its price, I ordered a spare set of sweet potato fries, and though they were good, they were extremely skinny. The bread pudding was top tier.

Best food and service - the crab white lake was so delicious- my husband had the crawfish etoufee with fried crawfish - grandson had tuna steak - I don’t normally like bread pudding BUT it was fabulous

We were a small group to celebrate a birthday and we were placed away from the other diners. The lunch was a great experience that we hope to experience again.

Kelli is our server. She is wonderful ❤️. She always goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. She protects us completely with our gluten free diet. Being celiac, never had an issue dinning here because Kelli takes it seriously ❤️❤️❤️. The bread pudding is delicious!! We always enjoy the wonderful tasty entrees and great service. A big thanks to our airbnb hosts for suggesting Chef Roy's! What a great find. We arrived closer to closing time, so we mostly had the place to ourselves. The restaurant is clean and airy with plenty of comfortable space to enjoy a leisurely meal. Service was beyond exceptional from our server to the owner. Not being from the area, we wanted to try local delicacies, and Roy's didn't disappoint. Everything was fantastic. Even our very picky eater kids were happy. I came away stuffed and didn't eat for the rest of the day. If you are looking for a taste of Acadiana, look no further.

WOW! This place is a must at least once. I'll be coming back. I enjoyed the lunch seafood platter for only $12.99. 3 thin and crispy strips of fried catfish, 1 oyster, 3 jumbo 🦐 shrimp, one stuffed shrimp, fabulous green bean side and a delicious roll! Outstanding waitress. The owner was friendly and walked the floor checking on guests. It was a really great experience.

HUGE helpings with mouth watering dishes

Crab White Lake is so good! The first time we stopped by for lunch a few years ago, we saw this dish being delivered to another guest and ordered it. I can’t attest to any other dish because I have never order anything else. I’m sure the other dishes on the menu are also good but this is such a treat that I don’t want anything else. The service is also excellent!

I don't care for the food here. Honestly, I just go for happy hour because their drinks "pack a wallop! I do wish the food was better, though. It's hard to mess up fajitas, but they don't use skirt steak. I am not sure what beef they use, but it is tough and tastless.

No one there on Thursday evening opening. The food was good but not like previous visits. Will be looking elsewhere for alternative.

My wife and I recently dined into Chef Roy’s for date night. The ambiance was spot on. It was quiet and relaxing. The food was great! I was a little skeptical of the chowder but was really surprised when I tried it. My wife is very particular about her shrimp and she loved her dish. Pam our waitress, was super attentive and personable. Even the bus boy, Rusty stopped by to see how our food was. My only take away is the stray cats in the parking lot. For a polished casual restaurant inside, the cats in the parking lot made it seem not so polished.

Excellent meals, I had shrimp and wife had crawfish. Good size portion, not a crazy amount of cayenne like so many Cajun restaurants. Service was excellent, place was clean, seating was comfortable, parking is plentiful. Acceptable prices.

Nice quiet atmosphere, food was hot, fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. Kelli was super sweet, knowledgeable about dishes, and very helpful.

First of all, being greeted by Robert Credeur when walking in and asking about fried shrimp he assured me I would get jumbo fried shrimp. What I got was the largest, freshest, seasoned perfectly jumbo fried shrimp in my life. This is a 5 star restaurant, with 5 star service from Breiah. It’s just steps off I-10 so don’t pass this place. You will never forget it and judge other seafood quality by the quality you get here.

Outstanding restaurant overall. Great decor, friendly and welcoming service, and the seafood was incredible. The red fish special was superb. Also tried the shrimp gumbo and was impressed. I highly recommend dining here.

As a trucker I stay in this area often for easy access to the interstate after a good night's sleep. This place is a hidden gem! The food is fantastic, service was professional and I really appreciate the atmosphere of the restaurant. Will visit again.

This meal was exceptional! Chef, you did not disappoint! It was also a nice touch to see you talking to each table as you made your way around the dining areas. It made us feel like you were genuinely interested in making our experience the best. The Robert Style premium side pasta was a bit too much garlic and nearly raw grilled onion for my taste, but everything else, from the basic house salad to the grilled fish Willie, was phenomenal. I would order it again if I could get it with fettuccine pasta. My friend had the cup of corn and crab soup (which I tasted, and I'll gladly order on my next visit!) and the Chef Roy seafood platter and he was completely satisfied with his meal.

It's been a very long time since I've genuinely enjoyed anything that I did not cook myself. It was my first time trying this restaurant and it will be my first choice from here on out!

Really great food the blackened fish was amazing

Very good!! got the seafood martini which was popcorn shrimp, boiled jumbo shrimp with delicious lump crabmeat on top. Also got the eggplant with crab cake on top! It was all delicious.

Shrimp Morel: Excellent flavor with bacon. We also had the Red Snapper with Shrimp Morel sauce. Old Fashion was pretty good.

Server were awesome and the food was perfect. My husband even ate his roll,he rarely likes the rolls.

This restaurant is clean, has great tasting food, and a friendly staff. Our waitress, Joanna was beyond pleasant. I recommend that chicken isabel! My wife is awestruck by the grilled chicken breast. Joseph Chevis I have not been solicited for this well deserved 5/5 rating.

Great Dinner. Chef Roy's is located just off if I-10 but set back and hard to see. It is just north of I-10 on the left side just before the Days Inn. The clerk at the Best Western Motel recommended it. I wanted a good Louisianna Seafood dinner and I was not disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter grilled (You have a choice of fried or grilled) and it was great! The platter consisted of 6 small shrimp, stuffed shrimp, 3 or 4 oysters, crab cake, blackened catfish fillet, and a frog leg. The platter included a very good salad (the ranch dressing was great) and bread. For a slight up-charge I had the eggplant fries - they were not only different, but good. My server, Ashley, did a great job, she was courteous, helpful and efficient. The dinner, with a unsweet tea was $34.36 before gratuity - which is a good value. The owner came through the dining room to see how everyone was enjoying their dinner. He seemed to know many of the patrons, which led me to believe that this is a local place. If you find yourself in Rayne - I highly recommend it.

The was great and the presentation was wonderful

We were seated right away. Staff seemed friendly enough. We ordered two appetizers the eggplant fries and Mile high onion rings. First off I'm not sure why they call them Mile high they are not presented in any such way they are just thin cut onion rings in a bowl. Ours came out very greasy and very undercooked we sent them back and the second batch of them came out somewhat better but still onion was not fully cooked. Eggplant fries were killer.The entrees were excellent all around. Everything was very fresh top notch quality. They may have been shorthanded because we had a little bit of trouble keeping our drinks full. We were also a little bit surprised/angry at a $7 charge just for paying with a credit card. They did not tell us anything about this up front when we got there. With the prices they already charge I don't think they need the extra $7 just for paying with a credit card. When we are spending $200 in the place I don't think that's necessary. I can see it maybe on a smaller order for just a single person or something like that.Also on the create your own seafood platter we did shrimp and oysters it did say that oysters were market price but when we got the bill we were charged for the regular price of a two item seafood platter plus an extra $13 on top of the regular market price for the oysters. I know the market price fluctuates but if it's going to be the regular up charge for oysters plus an additional $13 I think they should tell you up front when you're only getting five to six oysters you end up paying about $5 per oyster. So basically a platter that just had shrimp and oysters ended up costing $31.thsts more than the cost of the entire chef Roy or full seafood platter which is a lot more food

Chef Roy’s has been a favorite of ours for many years when we travel that stretch of I-10. Yesterday (March 25, 2022) was our 50th anniversary and part of our celebration was to eat at Chef Roy’s. The owner checked on us several times, and when we finished our meal our waitress showed up with their special bread pudding “on the house.” When we finished dessert and I asked for the check our waitress said the owner sends his congratulations and to have a great evening, and he was taking care of our check. Besides being fabulous food we were overwhelmed with his generosity and thoughtfulness. What great people, and the best food you will ever eat!

Paid for a large shrimp gumbo n got “ maybe 4 shrimp n a cup of juice! I’m traveling n wanted a good meal n this is not enough for a child to eat! I got it to go n they are closed but would definitely not recommend this place to go What a joke

The service is great. Atmosphere is relaxing and has a small town feel. Prices are about as much as you pay at other seafood restaurants, maybe a little more. Food is hot and fresh. Flavor of the food is ok, I'm not sure if it's the seasoning but I've ate way better food for a lot less money. 3 of us had food from the lunch menu for right at $60 I'd give it a 3 and half stars

Food was amazing and the wait staff where very friendly.

Living in Houston and being from Maringouin. This is one of my stops usually if it not early morning heading to baton rouge or late night travels on my way back to H-town. My favorite is the oysters and I don't eat oysters from just any where, any longer. But they guys do them right and they have always been pretty fresh!

I have loved the food and service @ Chef Roy's since the very first time I visited.

The lady forgot to bring your crackers as I sit at the table then she put tomatoes in my salad when I strictly tell her no tomatoes. The food portion was my opinion could have been more but the taste was there the couple I was with enjoyed the steak and my son enjoyed the hamburger steak with there gravey.

Stopped in on the way back to Houston. Wow! This place had some great food. The fried shrimp and fish were delicious. Also the jelly oysters were awesome!! Give this place a try, you will be happy you did. Oh yah, they had the best sweet potato fries ever.

To be Honest, this is far the Best restaurant to eat at. The food is always consist in taste. Oh!!!it's good. The customer service is the best ever and friendliest I experienced in years.This is not a one time or even1st time going to Chef Roy. I'm a regular customer. Everyone that I have sent, family or friends and even strangers who has asked where is a good restaurant to eat at and the only place that comes out my mouth is CHEF ROY. Thanks Chef Roy for being my #1 go to place to eat a great meal. To finish off, This place has the best Crawfish Enchiladas, you could eat. Try they and you will taste for yourself.

My opinion, best seafood restaurant I have been to around this area.

I have dined at Chef Roy’s on Numerous occasions. The service is excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful . We also had the pleasure of meeting Mr Robert Cradeur one of the owners. Mr Cradeur chatted with us several times with our party of diners to make sure the food and to make his staff was taking care of us. I would highly recommend Chef Roy’s as an excellent place for a superb dining experience.

Food is good. Service is fairly good. However, they charged a table of 4 gratuity on their own: I definitely don't consider it a 4-5 star place because of that.
