Great Mexican food! We always pick up our food. While waiting I’ve always been offered a treat or drink. Great hospitality!

I give this place five stars I've came here multiple times I work directly next door at Brookside Animal Clinic it's always very nice in there The ladies are always nice, I love all the plants and the vibe I just ate a single tamale from there today and when I say amazing I mean amazing!!

We ate here for the first time and the food was really good. We love hot sauce and asked for some and they brought us both red and green. They were both hot in different ways and that was nice. It was also quiet enough we could have a conversation. We’ll be back!

This place has been around for awhile now. Food is always good, service is what you expect. Birria tacos where good but definetly just pulled beef not cooked in the birria fashion.

I just moved to the KC area and let me tell you I found our spot. Not only is the restaurant Chely also my nick name but it has the best Margaritas omg y las mecheladas ni se dice guys best mexican food in the area. Everything was delicious, thank you for the Palomazo, the shot was very delicious 😋 and thank you very much girls for the excellent service. Me an my husband an family got to this place for good food all the time today I was accused for walk out several times without paying I was embarrassed an wanted to wait for police but the manager says it was OK when asking for employee information she gave me a blank envelope with no information I will not let this go of being falsely accused of racism an all black people don't look the same I've paid this time an every time plus tips I want to see the tape please and thank you

Been going here for years usually with family. Independently owned. Service and food are consistently great! Affordable! Even held a few bigger family function things in their back room behind bar. I would definitely recommend to anyone! Mexican food is great, many choices my favorite are the Chipotle Cream enchiladas thus seems crazy to say but also they have amazing cheseburgers if you go here and happen to not be in the mood for Mexican. Only negative thing I have to say (which clearly has never stopped me from coming) is they don't have the greatest restrooms but everything else is great!

Great food, reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and best Margaritas in town. However....they charge more if you pay with credit card vs cash. If you pay cash have exact change. You dont get your coin change if you dont. I understand charging for credit but if you dont have coin change dont short change your customer!

A man in the restaurant was very loud and they handled it very well by talking to him nicely. Food was very fast at arriving and as soon as the waitress realized we were missing tortillas she immediately got into it.

Great little place, food was excellent

This was our 2nd of many visits to Chelly’s. We love it! The margaritas are delicious! I had the Baja shrimp tacos and highly recommend them. Service is friendly and efficient.

My daughter took me for my birthday. Our waiters, Giovanni, was especially quick and very friendly. Despite having several tables, he kept the drink cups full and chips and dip present on the table. Food didn't take long and was excellent. I've already made plans to go back.

My bf got me food here, the asada fries. The food was good than parts were so salty. If I wanted a salt lick, I’d buy one. Like they didn’t mix it good at all and put to much salt. My bf was confused too, he tasted and was like this is good than tried it again on a different part and was like NOPE. He’s been going there for years and is disappointed. Than his roommate got sick from their food

I ordered 20 tamales and there was hair I one that I was eating so my mother called them and they never called back I was sick from just seeing hair in my food

They are not welcoming never checked on me to see if I needed anything else. I ordered two Tostados and it was not on the menu, I will not be back are will I recommend anyone. So, when the ticket comes she says thank you that the only thing she said to me smh!! Very disappointed I just return home from Cabo makes me not want Mexican food again

Chelley's is a neighborhood family owned and operated Mexican food restaurant and bar. I have dined there for over 20 years, and am still going and enjoying it. Margaritas are great.

Our go to Mexican place! Great food and service. I like the causal atmosphere. Haven’t had anything I don’t like. Good margaritas and I highly recommend trying the cheesecake chimichangas

They put an $8.00 tip on my card without telling us. I should be able to choose when and how much I tip. I wont be back!

I usually eat in but the last two meals were carry out so this is for several past experiences over the years. Food is usually quite good dining in but carryout is touch and go. Tonight when l paid for my meal they've added a new feature to the card swipe. You're asked to rate Chellys on a five star choice. This really kills me because how can l rate it if l haven't even eaten it. Tonight both my order and my husbands were barely warm almost cold. The food came out of the kitchen as l arrived there on time and sat down to eat it immediately upon getting home so this was odd. My enchiladas were delicious once rewarmed but the burrito was flavorless ground beef. It's usually very good. Another time my enchiladas were so salty l through them out. Bottom line dining in is fairly good but. without any consistency. Carryout is hit and miss. I think l'm supposed to drive back up there tonight and change my rating to a more accurate experience.

Wonderful for takeout or dine in. Tucked away in the strip mall, no problem parking for a to-go order. Standard fare from most any Mexican place, very well run and organized. Clean interior and exterior and the staff is always hustling.

My husband and I enjoy going here when we can, we love the atmosphere and Ms. Brenda. She is such a sweetheart. The food is good, and the drinks are amazing!

Good Mexican food and very pleasant servers

We have been here many times and the food is always good. However this trip they really stepped up their game. The portions were nice size. I do not like red sauce on my enchiladas so I always get cheese sauce on top and pay extra, even though I pay extra there is barely enough to cover them. This time there was a decent coverage on them. It's the quality and details I appreciate. Great job!

Everything is delicious at Chelly's. Love the queso, the shrimp and avocado quesadilla, the Chimi appetizer, the enchiladas, chips and fresh made salsa. You cannot beat the price and the staff is amazing.

I had the red chilequiles here. My partner had the green. They were both delicious, like having breakfast at grandma's house (I wish my grandma made chilequiles...) I think I preferred the green, it has just the right tang for the carnitas it was with. I will be back!

10/08/23 First time visiting. We will definitely be repeat customers. The food was great quality, and value. The drinks were so good. The pricing is great for this family. We got so much. We loved the vibes of this restaurant. On the outside it looks like nothing but the inside is great. Definitely making this place a permanent date night.

I walked in and It smelled like burnt grease . There was nowhere to really sit they no longer have a bar open . 😕 I was getting a to go order . I Ordered the Steak fajitas . And cheese dip. When I got to the park and opened up my to go order I had no fork spoon or napkins . The fajitas strips were literally Soaked in orange Looking substance It was quite oily . The fahita steak Was paper-thin The width Of the meat was About the size of A fettuccine noodle . The food was horrible . I should have took it back but I was too far away . I thought about giving it to a homeless person But if I wouldn't it why would I give it to someone else . 🤔 to the trash 🗑 🤪 it went .

Ate at Chelly’s Café for the first time this evening—what a fun experience! Not only was the food great, but the ambience was festive and upbeat with music we couldn’t help but dance to the whole time we were eating. Our preschool-aged children thoroughly enjoyed themselves too; it’s an easy family-friendly restaurant to bring kids to. Would highly recommend!

Great service and an authentic festive atmosphere... The food was ok, we ordered the chorizo and cheese dip. There were pockets of oil/fat sitting on top of the cheese when it was served to us. Which is typical of chorizo but this gave me major heartburn. I also ordered the flautas which were good but they were too oily as well. All in all the food was ok, just make sure to take your heartburn and tummy meds, lol. Had to give this place 3 out of 5 as not all Mexican restaurants give me major heartburn like this place.

Had a chicken fajita salad. Needed more seasoning. Peppers needed to be cooked down more. Head lettuce needed a smaller chop and placed on top of chicken, not on bottom. The heat made the lettuce warm! 1 waitress when we went in around 2 pm on a Wednesday. Service except able but not great! Good margaritas at a good price!

Overall good food. The prices are amazing, especially for lunch! Great nachos and chili rellenos. Definitely a Waldo staple!
