Restaurant was nice, clean and great service. However they should list allergens. What has dairy, meat, peanut, fish. I didn't have a great time after the scallion pancakes!

Best Chinese food in the business. I have yet to have better. Always prepared fresh for you, and very gourmet. Doesn't leave you with that "upset stomach" feeling afterward, like those cheap Chinese restaurants do. My absolute favorite would have to be their House Lo Mein. Made with chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp, a variety of shredded vegetables, perfectly cooked al' dente Chinese noodles 🍜, and their delectable sauce. They slice the chicken so thin and prepare it so light. It practically melts in your mouth. Their Mooshi All comes in at a close second for me. I've often asked myself, "How can a dish so light, taste so good?" All those shredded vegetables, cloud ear mushrooms, a little scrambled egg, and again with the chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp. Then served with those thin pancakes, and that sweet plum sauce. Just perfection 👌. Their house rice is so much better than the traditional pork fried rice. Even without the soy sauce, it had an amazing flavor, with peas, carrots, and green onion, a little scrambled egg, and again with the chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp. The Yushiang Vegetable is a special request. Not on their regular menu, but I just love the sauce so much, and it's great on their Chinese mixed vegetables. I'm also partial to their chicken dishes. Like their Orange Chicken, their Sweet Sesame Chicken, and of course their sweet sour and spicy General Tzao's Chicken. I would have to say my only critique would be their Crab Rangoon. I think they would be better without the added sugar in the cream cheese crab mixture. I'm not a fan of sweet Crab Rangoon. The owner, Fong, is a sheer delight. Always greets you with a smile and some light conversation. All in all, I would have to give their food a full five-star's. Order an extra House Lo Mein to-go. It's THAT good. 🙂

Food was terrible, not traditional at all. For example, the dish Hunan beef, which is from a region that makes spicy foods, tasted like bbq beef. All of the dishes are heavily americanized and some taste the complete opposite, like spicy dishes tasting sweet. Even the sushi was not good, the rice tasted way too sour and the texture was hard, almost as if the rice has been sitting out for a very long time.

First Time. The ambiance is so nice, welcoming, and warm. We ordered house fried rice, stir-fried rice noodles with beef, beef with green peppers and onions. With a pin̈a colada and a Tsingtao beer. Fantastic. Even the eggs in the house rice tasted fresh. There was nothing greasy about the food. We will be back.

The restaurant looks great from the outside, it's very convenient for take-out pickup too. This is the only restaurant that I like the crab rangoons from. They're always so fresh and warm, and I love the filling. The staff is so nice, they always say hello to you and goodnight as well. The food is so delicious and perfect for a chinese-food lover. The sushi is also very good, and they have a large amount of options.

My family and I enjoyed delicious Chinese food here. One of our family members is of Asian descent, and also enjoyed dinner here. I had the Orange Chicken and white rice - it was an ample portion and was delicious. Others (including young children) enjoyed pork fried rice, beef and broccoli, won-ton soup, and other dishes. I ordered Tea, and was surprised the teapot only came with one cup (despite there being 6 in my party). Perhaps Tea is not commonly included for all with dinner, as in the past? Decor was very nice and the noise level was quiet. We enjoyed our dinner there, and would likely return when in the area.

This is the type of Chinese restaurant that takes you back in time. When the decor of a restaurant was just as cool as the food. You are greeted at the front steps by two lion statues. When you walk in there's a koi pond on one side and a statue on the other. I was promptly and politely greeted and seated in a very comfortable 70's style orange padded chair. It was relaxing before it started. They brought me tea and my ice water. My water was great! I had the Hot and Sour Soup! A PuPu for one and ***Shrimp with Lobster Sauce.*** The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious. It was more of a lite broth but it had all the traditional flavors, mushrooms, tofu, golden needles and it had a nice little kick. I review a lot of Chinese restaurants and the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was some of the best I've had. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. The sauce achieved that perfect flavor without even close to being too salty or sweet. Very old school solid but elevated dish. I will definitely come back for this. The PuPu platter. I'm usually not a fan of the doughy fried items. They do a great job with their Chicken Fingers. They have a nice crisp, the batter has a nice flavor and they were cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the shrimp, although there was more batter. The flavor carried it. The reason for the four instead of a five. I hope this gets read and worked on. The teriyaki was good, but the flavor was weak. Same with the spareribs. The chicken wings had a nice crunch, but lacked flavor and weren't as moist as some. The egg rolls were more cabbage and lacked flavor. I prefer the old school celery based. If you do go cabbage it needs some seasoning. Overall it was a really good experience. If you like Shrimp and Lobster Sauce make the trip. There was a lot of people eating there by the time I left. I'd like to try more entrées.

Nice clean restaurant, friendly staffs I am going to comment on the food, so they can fix it. We ordered the basics. Lo main, Fried rice, pork dish. Unfortunately every single one of them was way too salty. I would say they could probably use 60% of the sauce then it would be perfect. My guess is they had reduced the portion of the food (less meat, less veggies) but still are using the same amount of sauce. It was flavorful but WAY TOO SALTY. Very disappointed because I had high hopes. Too bad.

I've always loved the Cheng Du growing up in Westborough-my reviews are based on accessibility for mobility impaired individuals and they do have a place to pull up out front and it looks like a formal restaurant where is drive and it has a ramp (although the ramp is rather long) once inside the physical restaurant it's difficult to maneuver especially if you have a wheelchair but the staff are wonderful and I might suggest that if this is a larger party you call ahead to share the information II have fond memories of my father and I going to pick up the "pu poo'(?) platter at the Honolulu( RIP), Dad would get me a "Shirley Temple"( non-alcohol cocktail) and he would have a beer waiting at the bar. We would THEN go to the Cheng Du to get the mushi chicken ( their BEST DISH BY FAR!) those are the issues I have and they could be corrected within a week! 💯🙏

We waited 30 minutes on the highway no car movement until one of their staff came to each car and asked for our phone number. We waited another 25 minutes till I asked the staff member what was going on. He told me that all of these orders that we placed three hours ago were just now being made. Average food. This restaurant is great and I should have dropped this review yeeeears ago but most of yall probably know that you're more likely to complain than give praise online... Anyway, tonight for the first time ever they messed up our delivery order. The MANAGER got in his car and came all the way out to our house to make it right even though we had agreed on a partial refund. You just don't expect that level of care nowadays. Thanks Chengdu! Cheng Du is a Great Family place! We've been eating at their restaurant in Westborough, MA since 1993 and their other location in (Mansfield) since before that. The food is top notch, always fresh and flavorful! The greeters at the front desk are always kind and friendly and remember your name and family, and the wait staff is always attentive. They have a very nice Bar area with TV and friendly Bartenders. We've also done Take Out (many times) and Love collecting our Red and Black Cheng Du take out cloth bags that we re-use for groceries and for carrying our school supplies! During the Pandemic, this restaurant began giving out hand made face coverings (masks) and hand sanitizer for (FREE) to their customers! I don't know of any other establishment that did this. Thank you Cheng Du. The Tomashefsky Family :^) (Happy Customers!)

I will say the food was good, however they could work on their customer service skills. I felt bad for the waitress as she seemed to have too many tables to have to wait on. When we arrived, instead of being greeted, the hostess snarled "how many" and grabbed menus and didn't say another word. I guess we were intruding. When we left, no thank you for coming or come back again. The whole time we were there only 1 employee smiled.

My baby was crying and I needed to pull over and change the song that was playing. I pulled into the empty parking lot and quickly parked. This was mid day, as I was changing the song a waitress banged on my window. She had a bag of food with her and told me this was the pick up area. She then asked if I ordered food. I told her I was just pulling over to change the song for my baby. “Move to the other side of the parking lot, this is for customers.” I changed the song and went back onto route 9. Summary: 3.5 of 5 Stars - Rounded up to 4 Stars because I believe in this Restaurant Atmosphere: 1.25 of 2 Stars Food: 1.25 of 2 Stars Staff: 1 of 1 Star SUMMARY: In one word, I would describe Cheng Du as neglected. I decided not to penalize this restaurant with a low review because I believe in it. This is a call out to the owner to remind them of what a beautiful restaurant they have. With a little love, attention and elbow grease, Cheng Du has the potential to, once again, be amazing. The foundation for greatness is there it just needs someone who cares, to bring life back into the establishment. My wife and I stopped at this conveniently located (Rt. 9 West) Chinese restaurant on our way back to Worcester from Boston. The atmosphere was a bit in shambles and the food was ok. The staff was very kind and they did a pretty good job with service. ATMOSPHERE: The lighting, décor and artwork, were all beautiful. I appreciated the dark wood flooring which complemented the brighter and colorful walls. I was also a fan of the authentic Chinese art and sculptures scattered throughout. As I stated previously, the foundation is here. If management put some time into cleaning up the place, I have no doubt they’ll see a major improvement in customer satisfaction and in the business overall. FOOD: The variety of options was promising, the presentation was lovely and overall, we enjoyed our food but it was clear that there was no, dare I say the word, passion. The environment overall felt a bit lifeless, and it reflected in the food. If the kitchen can get it together and re-ignite the spark, I really believe that Cheng Du has the cooking expertise to dish out some appealing plates. STAFF: Our server and his partner did a great job overall. The food was brought out in a very timely and structured manner. We both appreciated that there wasn’t a long wait between the courses. I also appreciated that my waiter did refill my water without me asking. The service took a bit of a dip after all the food was delivered. The attention to our table disappeared but our waiters partner came and got us checked out.

Have driven by numerous times and wanted to try. The service was absolutely lack luster. We were seated a rather large corner booth, behind a larger party whom had about 8 people.. the waitress, whom was trying her best, was more focused on clearing tables and the guests at the bar than us in the corner.. the food was not memorable at all. The "authentic" Chinese dish was so bland and tasteless.. despite the "spicy" rating.. we also order scallion pancakes and steam pork buns, the pancakes were grossly undercooked and doughy... we didn't see our waitress at all after the food was delivered, as a matter of fact, we sat there waiting for her to check on us, and after waiting about 20 minutes, I had to chase after her to get the check so we could pay and leave.. the service is awful, the food is not good at all.. the atmosphere is lackluster and tired..

😨😱😥😥😥😥😳😳😳😳 I usually do not like to put bad things in a place, since I am also in the trade! but we waited 1:30 for food the food arrived freezing cold. we asked about it and they said it will be fine next time. . pity there won't be a next time. 😨😱😥😥😥😥😳😳😳😳

Premix mai tai's from the jug. Not freshly made unless you're a regular there. very weak. Guy bartender there has serious attitude. HE Actually complained about new customers coming in. because he had to serve more people.!! Female staff also very rude. Don't waste your time at this place.

When our dinner ended, it began to rain heavily and unexpectedly. Since guests hadn't come with umbrellas, our waiter was walking them to their cars using his own umbrella! We were so touched by this that it made our night!

It's a westernized Chinese restaurant experience through and through. However, this doesn't mean that the experience or food was bad. In fact, quite to the contrary, the food was very well done with their Crispy Orange Chicken as proof of their quality. I also want to mention that the restaurant was beautiful.

I've been going here for years / decades. The quality of the food is good but has definitely gone down a bit over the last couple of years. The curbside pickup is great. And you can get Mai Tais to go albeit they are expensive. The chicken and broccoli is too dry but the szechuan chicken is excellent as is ALL of their fried rices. Very good Peking dumplings and awesome hot and sour soup.

Great establishment and the Chinese dishes aren't drowned in sauces and grease. Service is friendly and casual like a typical Chinese restaurant.

Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. Drinks are the way you like them, polite enough and not too hard on the wallet. Didn't like the egg rolls at all, they're on the greasy soggy side. But all the other fried food is great.

Stopped for a nice cocktail and a quick bite to eat on an early Saturday evening. The male bartender was nice however Tina was abrupt and insulted her co worker in front of several customers at the bar. Must be having a bad night Tina

Delicious sweet & sour chicken! My husband also really enjoyed the boneless spare ribs. Best part was the restaurant being opened past 10pm because that’s when most restaurants are closing in the area
