We love this local establishment for drinks and meeting new people, which is exactly what we did tonight. This place is overlooked and often passed by. Thank you Trevor for keeping up with us and our rambling. It was a great outing. Good days/ bad day. I have never been so motivated to post a review after a good or bad review as I am tonight. This is about an afternoon out today at Chicago Pizza at 1341 SE 47th Terrace Cape Coral. Let me begin by saying this has nothing to do about the establishment, it is a fantastic place. This has everything to do with today’s experience, and Erica, the bartender. We walked in at 1615 to an empty bar (for the most). There were two of our friends already there and we joined them. Without going into detail, we discussed this bartender’s lack of keeping track of what was going on at the bar. Multiple times, we had to get her attention to get another beverage. At 1750, we asked for another round (which are 2 for 1, which she leaves a shot glass in front of each of us and goes and gets the beers). A half hour later, we asked to close out and get our last beers. She took the card, and the glasses and came back with the closed bill. I reminded her that we were owed two beers and she replied with, “Okay, I will trust you this time”. When she returned with the beers, I said, “never question my integrity about things like this, I am keep track of these things”. When she took the card and ran it, she brought the closeout back and addressed me with, “never talk to me like that again”, and walked off. I was going to let it go, but gave her a tip on the bill and wrote a note on the back of it, which was remaindering her that this is a customer based business. Without looking at it, she grabbed it, crumpled it up, and threw it in the trash can on that side of the bar. I was irritated, but was letting it go as we were done and getting ready to leave and that would have been it, had it not been for the group of three that sat down next to us that were complaining about her not even giving them acknowledgment. I said to them, “good luck on that, she has no situational awareness about things at the bar”. This is what brings me to why I even post this very negative review about an individual at an establishment that we love. She saw me talking to the group and she told the, “don’t listen to him, he’s had too much to drink”. And I responded, “well then, I guess I was over-served despite you terrible service”. I never like to post these type of reviews, but then, I do not like being disrespected. Updated update. We have friends their right now that will not be served by Erica and can not get descent service because of this ongoing problem with one individual, just one individual that thinks she controls the issue and the situation. Being discriminated against because of race, should not always be a right to raise an issue. If an employee doesn't like you for any reason, that does not give the right of the establishment to discriminate against service. This is getting to be a bigger problem then we could have ever seen. But this is far from over. TRUST ME ON THIS! Update to a few other updates, because Google asked. We had a HH pizza and it was outstanding. We think the world of Brook and I would give her service a 5. But we only go in on the days that we know that we will get great Brook service and not the other. The manager, that knows that the numbers are slipping, should be questioned by the owner. We have also heard about snide comments by bartender and service staff made when people come in for the half off TUE pizza. But the food is solid.

Kinda run down and dirty could of looked pass that but the pizza is just nasty not enough toppings and barely any cheese Far better places around guess that's why they are running specials

You get watered down or weak ice tea. We were told the owner doesn't want to use a lot of tea bags.

Great pizza, definitely reminds me of home but the antipasto salad was small and nothing like the ones back in Chicago;it just lacked, the meat served with it was large pieces of ham, deli slices of salami and pepperoni; as supposed to it being properly cut with romaine lettuce. Atmosphere-picture an 90's decor/bar, and the bartenders were vaping in the bar area. The service flat out sucked, and the girls were not busy they seemed to be gathered in one area of the bar, conversing. Rarely checked on us, we had to ask the serves for refills or extra napkins.we were a party of 6.

Did a takeout order and ordered an Italian Beef sandwich and some kid's pizzas. Everything was excellent. I probably could have eaten two of the beef sandwiches. Kids enjoyed the pizzas as well. Would likely go back next time in town.

This is the real deal I believe our quest for Chicago pizza has been answered they do make the sausage the Chicago way ,balled vs sliced and the crust is just right..we had thin. Congrats to the entrepreneurs!!! Too bad the don't deliver...lol Punta Gorda is 1/2 hr. ride.. A lot of nice Chicago memorabilia from all sports teams..

So good as always. Although we now live farther away. It's still a treat to go to this pizza gem.

I have seen enough. While I was a loyal customer for the last 8 years that ended today. While the Happy HourLight is still on, it dosen't include Tuesdays. Why would anyone pay $5.00 for a draft beer when you walk to a few places near by and get a draft for less than half what they charge. With new ownership there are changes I understand. Unfortunately, I have not seen one positive improvement.

I never seen a place go down hill like Chicago Pizza. After I paid $5.00 for a draft beer I knew it was time to leave. Staff is top quality, of course there are some that just will never make the cut. Very disappointed to see a top notch place go down hill.

Was very dissatisfied with it Chicago Pizza asked for Polish and I wanted it grilled and he told me he couldn’t do it. I had it done there before so my next choice was chicken tenders and onion rings, overcooked burnt onion rings. Chicago Pizza was always our go to for great pizza. Just had the WORST pizza tonight. Ordered a sausage giardinara thin crust pizza. Cardboard crust, little toppings and the sauce was so salty it was inedible. Called Chicago Pizza to let them know and they hung up on me.😬

Great food and good lunch specials

We had fried ravioli, coleslaw, and an Italian sub with fries. All very good! All for good price. 👍

Thick crust doesn't make a deep dish pizza this was not a good pizza!!

I'm from Chicago as obviously the owner of this place is. The pizza rivals the best Chicago has to offer. Looking forward to trying their other delights.

Local bars and breweries recommended this restaurant, as I'm from Chicagoland and was raised on Chicago-style deep dish. Unfortunately, this did not come close to meeting expectations. Their deep dish is glorified double dough, the whiskey coke that I ordered was very weak, and when I asked for no olives, they covered the pizza in olives. Only redeeming factor was that the hostess and wait staff were very pleasant. Despite the friendly service, I will not be returning.

Never ate in but the Pizza is great. Deep is good as well. I get the thin crust extra crispy.Beefs are good as well.

I normally get the deep dish here, and it has never failed. Great Chicago ingredients from Fontanini meats and fennel sausage. I felt nostalgic and wanted a pub style, thin crust square cut. It was a miss. It lacked sauce, was light on cheese, and was sliced traditional. All of which I would have forgiven... but the single pepperoni per slice?! Dissapointing.

A bit dark as you enter … but friendly helpful staff. I was expecting something more like a Pizza Uno deep pan pizza pie … this was a bit too study for my taste. I feel sorry for the locals if this is rated the best pizza restaurant in Cape Coral.

Pizza is good when we dine in and have it delivered. They have an awesome delivery guy, his name is Jerry. They give you an estimated delivery time but when Jerry is your delivery person, he goes above and beyond by calling you and telling you exactly when he will be there! With two large dogs and/or being in the back lanai, this is appreciated more than I can say. I wish all delivery drivers would give that extra attention to their job!

Chicago Pizza offers TVs for watching games, making it an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts to enjoy a meal with friends. Despite some minor drawbacks such as the undercooked crust on the Chicago thin crust pizza and basic French fries, the overall ambiance and tasty options like the cauliflower crust make Chicago Pizza a solid choice for a casual dining outing.

Can I get some cheese? Another minute or two and some cheese and you are good. I ordered 3 pizzas and they were all under cooked like they rushed it out. Please let the cheese brown before you serve a pizza if you want to put Chicago on your name.

The best Chicago Tavern Style pizza in all of SWFL without a doubt. We really enjoyed our visit today. The service was great and the food was just Amazing. We have the Sausage, onion, green peppers thin tavern style pizza. The Italian beef, amazing... And the Chicago Nuggets. So so good. Thank you ladies that served us while we were there. We will be back soon. ❤ 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Just okay. We had the deluxe Chicago. More onions than meat, over powered the flavor.

Great local establishment preparing excellent pizza and more. We built a custom pizza that turned out very well. Generous and tasty toppings on a very nice crust. Good selection of beer.

We absolutely love both the thin and the thick crust pizza. It may be our new favorite pizza place in town.

Bad pizza. Hardly chicago style and very strange cheese to sauce to crust proportions. Last resort for pizza certainly.

Had the Deluxe Meat 12”deep dish pizza and a bud light . The ingredients tasted very fresh . Would recommend this pizza to anyone wanting to try a deep dish style pizza . Ashley was friendly and attentive towards me and the other guests at the bar.

Great food! The Italian Beef and Pizza both were delicious!

Ordered a large order for 6 people and was so disappointed. We waited over an hour for the food and employees assured us everything was in the bag. We got home and our order of spaghetti and meatballs wasn’t there, fries weren’t there, and a pizza pie was completely burnt. We were able to get a refund when we called for items that weren’t given. The employees however were so defensive about the pizza and wouldn’t refund us for the burnt pizza… claiming it’s supposed to be like that, I attached a pic clearly showing it’s burnt in comparison to the other. We have been customers for years and are so disappointed. I would def say check your order before leaving if you do to go.

The 2 waitstaff were slammed tonight. Skye, who waited on us, was calm and swift. She got our food to us in great time with all the unexpected customers. Our thin crust pizza was FAB U LOUS❗️❗️ Give them a CHICAGO try!!!

Delicious pizza. Sauce was perfection. Garlic knots were so good my teens wanted to come back the next night.

Good food, horrible service. Orded $110 worth of delivery, didn't get our salad. She argued that it was delivered and made us come back to get the replacement and then ripped us a new one about how they did not forget the salad and it was delivered. Have ate here several times on vacation and this was the first problem, but it was a big one. Right or wrong, I don't know what business agrues likes that over a salad, risking loss of reputation. I really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and she just kept coming with attitude. UPDATE: We were also surprised at the attitude that the tall, blondish, female working the evening shift that day had when she told us that we need to go home and check our security cameras because she knows she delivered the salad. I promise you, it was not delivered.

Stop in for lunch on 3/19/24 the wife and myself and we order Chicago style hot dogs and what a disappointment. We asked the waitress if the buns and hot dogs were steam. Well the buns were cold and mustard was on top of the onions.$7.50 per hot dog is very pricey. So please don’t call them Chicago style because it’s nowhere near Chicago dog. But the day before I stop in for Chicago style pizza and it was very good highly recommend the pizza.

Wow! Make sure you check your order upon delivery. They forgot to include a salad and then said "you expect me to send a driver all the way over for a salad?" mind you we are 8 minutes away. What terrible customer service. The flavor of the pizza sauce is great! That's the only saving that this pizza place has to offer. However, with this experience I won't order from here again.

Truly not the Chicago Pizza I remember at all. The crust was paper thin and the sauce/cheese slide off the uncooked crust. Also charge 3.5 percent to use a credit card and I didn't find out until the bill came.

I am a pizza snob! That being said, this place was busy, with all visible seats full.So maybe dine in is a better option. However, our crust was a bit soft and under-done. The Italian beef was good, but get extra au jus. While it was decent, too good, I'm not heading back anytime soon.

Visiting Florida from Chicago (the real Chicago, not a suburb of it) I saw this place and had to try it. I was told that the original owner sourced the ingredients from the Midwest and the current new owners kept the recipes and the suppliers. I tried the pizza and it was definitely the closest pie to back home. If you are familiar with the Beggars pizza in IL this is pretty much spot on. I would definitely order it again. While it wasn’t the prettiest pizza, it got completely eaten. The tamale with chili looked unappealing, but it also tasted great.

Edit: is been 5 years since my first review, and the pizza is still really good, however i must say, I'm not sure what happened with their clenlieness. I have ever seen so much dust caked on light fixtures and hanging pics, or sprayes of food on the walls. The carpets deffinetly need some attention. If eating in a clean environment is important to you, deff skip this place. We wernt the only ones to notice, and when the manager was asked to clean the light fixtures by the table next to us, he said he would do it after the guests left. By far the best pizza we have found in Lee county! The nuggets are a must, and you can't go wrong with either the thin crust or deep dish, whichever is your preference. They have gluten free crusts and all fresh toppings. Great specials to!

Really excellent pizza! We had a deep dish, and it was perhaps the best pizza that I have ever had. The toasted ravioli were also wonderful, not at all greasy, great marinara with them. The server was really nice, efficient, always smiling and friendly. Not much for atmosphere, the place is a little dark, but with such great pizza, who needs atmosphere?

Our group loved the thin crust pizza. Fast friendly service. We will be back!

We were looking for a good pizza place that delivers. This was near our vacation house so we decided to try it. Our estimated delivery time was over an hour so we decided to run a few last min errands. But they were fast they got our order there in around 30 min. We weren’t home yet, so we asked if they could bring it back to the restaurant. They were so understanding (we felt so bad we tried to give them an additional tip for the inconvenience) but the manager refused to take it. The food was so delicious. The deep dish pizza was amazing. The service was great too. Will definitely be going here again in the future.

It was our first visit. We loved everything about it. The pizza was delicious, 2 for 1 happy hour. Bonus, we met some really nice people.

Ordered for delivery to be delivered by 320 pm today Super Bowl Sunday. I was already impressed they would have it delivered so soon! But they were 15 minutes early too!! Pizza is delicious!! Have been coming here since moving to North Port from the suburbs of Chicago in 2018…the hour drive is worth it as the pizza here s far superior to nearly any other pizza I’ve had in Florida with the exception of Rosatis in Fort Myers . The service has always been spot on as well. I was somewhat let down on my latest visit as the sausage was not up to par…a lack of fennel I’m guessing…here’s hoping that this was just a fluke as I’ll be back based on many previous visits

Something has changed. I’d been reading poor reviews and was defending this place on FB. Twice now we have gone in, sat in a booth in the bar and completely ignored for 20+ minutes before we get up and leave while the employees all hang out behind the bar. Go around the corner to Papa Joes. You won’t be sorry.

I am from Wisconsin and came to visit friends, they come here all the time and love it,my bartender, server was Erika, not sure if I spelled her name right but I've waitresses for 10 years and bartender for over 20 years and she was amazing, very friendly and did her job in a timely fashion my experience here was very good I think Erika did an amazing job ❤️

Dined in Jan.27,2024. Alice and I are regular customers,but disappointed with how skimpy the cheese and sausage was on our pizza. Hope it's not a permanent thing because we always liked it in the past. The service is always great and friendly.

Sat at the bar and ordered two personal pizzas. After 40 minutes, we asked how much longer is the wait. Was told the cook was just starting them. We complained and was asked to leave. We could have called in an order and gotten pizzas in 20 minutes. Will never be back.

I have been in the area for 25 years and never knew about Chicago pizza. Well i do now and we have a new favorite pizza place. It was what i remember from back home. No others have came close! It was 100% the best i have had in a very long time! Its definitely worth the money.

Ordered the Chicago Italian beef and some wings, both good.

We ordered a large thin crust with meatballs and mushrooms, it was fabulous. Delivery was supposed to be an hour it was here in 35 minutes hot and delicious. Definitely will order from them again 👍

Great pizza! I live an hour from Chicago... The deep dish pizza was true Chicago style. The sauce was on the sweet side, my favorite! Go Bears! They have Bears memorable decor.

We went there because a friend told us the pizza was really good. We were sadly disappointed. The crust had no flavor and the pizza was bland.

My wife and I went to Chicago Pizza last month and it was terrific. The pie was a good as any that I’ve had in the Chicago area where I’ve lived all my life. Tonight i was looking forward to celebrating my birthday with some great pizza. Unfortunately the food was a major letdown! The pizzas we received had the quality of the worst Dominoes Pizza ever. We ordered 2 pizzas, both with sausage and green peppers. While the crust was very good, there was virtually no sauce on either pizza and both the largest clumps sausage I’ve ever seen. Had the server stopped by to check on us, I would have sent them both back. If it wasn’t for the Chicago Nuggets, the dinner would have rated only one star. I will return in a couple weeks for another try, and hopefully get a pizza which is properly sauced, and that lives up to the Chicago Pizza name.

Always have had excellent pizza here. Their hand pinched sausage is very good. Worth a try for sure.

Had the Italian beef sandwich, pizza and a Caesar salad....all were really good! Service was great as well. Looking forward to our next visit.

Pizza was the closest to Chicago style I've had in SWFL, but it just wasn't 100% there. The crust was true Chicago thin crust, the sausage was legit hand pinched and flavorful, and the sauce was just like I remembered, just a little sweet, seasoned just right and very flavorful but there wasn't very much of it. Also it could have spent 4-5 minutes more in the oven. Next time I will ask for extra sauce and well done.

Worst ever, pizza was overcooked, no, or little tomato sauce, garbage pizza, never again.

Not too shabby, would give it a visit again, however service is a bit slow, and they do take advantage of you on drink prices. I don't recommend this over Capones in downtown Fort Myers, MUCH better environment, beautiful atmosphere, fantastic food, long wait times but so worth it!

I've had the pizza, beef sandwich, appetizers, everything is good so far! IF YOU'RE LOOKING for Giordano's style of pizza, I have NOT found it yet in Florida. A lot of places call theirs deep dish... just so you're aware. 😜😜

Delicious reminds me of home (Chicago)

I ordered a deep dish. Not sure what I got though. Every Chicago Deep Dish I ever got had the tomato sauce on top of the pizza. I found that a little disappointing.

The Chicago hot dog $7.50 got to be the most charged in america. Normally 3.99 each or up to 4.50 out of state from illinois . wholesale cost is .96 per 8/1 natural casing vienna beef dog each and .50 for bun and toppings 1.46 to make one steamed chicago hot dog. so super expensive

First visit left me unimpressed, walking in the restaurant appeared more as a bar which I didn’t see very many people eating just enjoying the Happy Hour moment. I felt disappointed that a 2 topping medium pizza on thin crust that reminded me of frozen pizza would cost $22.00

I am from Chicago and believe it or not...this is the first time a "chicago pizza" place in another state actually delivered a chicago pizza! Even cutting it our way! This last time I went it was early afternoon, so we picked from the lunch menu. Of course i had pizza; mushrooms, onions and pepperoni...wonderful! Not busy in early afternoon.

Food was great and staff was really nice over the phone. Too bad they are not on DoorDash, UberEats or any online delivery system, because they got my address wrong even after telling them 3 times over the phone 🤣 But I will definitely enjoy their food again!

I had called for an order to be picked up as I don’t trust delivery because it usually shows up cold. Thru miscommunication I asked for delivery and decided to stick with that. I was more than happy at the quality of the food I received in a timely manner. The stuffed shells and chicken piccata were delicious.

I truly is the Chicago Pizza. Need a lot of people from Chicagoland area there.
