I ordered food here over the phone… I asked for 2 beef lo mein combos with chicken fried rice and a soup and repeated several times as she said “large” so I continued to say “yes 2 large beef lo mein combination meals” once my husband and I got there I noticed the bag was a little small I didn’t think anything of it at first as to him holding the bag once we walked out I saw there was no rice didn’t even fully make it out the door before we went back in and nicely said we are missing 2 orders of rice. This lady SNAPPED and gave us the most attitude I’ve ever received in my life inside of a restaurant!!! All because SHE heard ME wrong DO NOT GO HERE! Now don't get me wrong the food is amazing but the service is TRASH!

My wife and I attend here almost weekly. We have coming here for years and have received the same quality and friendly service, and quality food. Jenny and Lily are always wonderful, whom I consider friends. This last Sunday I went on my own and met Chen who was an absolutely delightful young lady with a great smile. My wife and I order, most frequently, shrimp fried rice, shrimp lo mein, general tsao chicken, crab meat wonton, sushi/maki Rolls, wonton soup, shrimp toast. We have never had a bad meal here or bad service. Always top-notch.

This is the Chinese food you have been looking for. By far, the best shrimp toast, crab Rangoon, and spring rolls in the area. And we have tried several. I'm sad it took us this long to have food from China Taste as it is top notch. The service was on point. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is that of a top tier Chinese food restaurant.

Avoid this place. I had my card information stolen and used by them (or someone they mistakenly gave my info to) because they are NOT SECURE with any card info. They write down your card info on any paper lying around and their website is a glorified excel spreadsheet where you type your info. They also demand tips and will increase the size of the tip for themselves using your card. Multiple instances of this happening around our neighborhood. I won't be making the mistake of ordering here again. As for the food, it's just average.

Shrimp lo mein was trash. Lo mein tasted like yatgawmein . Every time I’ve been here it’s been trash. People say I am gettin the wrong dish, but this is the 3rd, or 4th time I’ve been, and every time it has been trash. In my honest opinion

Lily the server has a long smile of warmth and gentility with grace. The dining experience was pleasant quiet and tasty. I will definitely return for more.

Stopped in for dinner this evening with my son. I hadn't been here for decades. I used to stop in almost daily when I worked at the ski shop just a few doors down from them. Walked in and was greeted by a girl on their takeout side. She seemed nice enough. The hostess.. she's harsh. Kind of scary, but seemed like a decent person. Our actual waitress was a sweet and very good. She filled my water glass often and was prompt with everything. And always with a smile. As for the food, it's not as good as I remember. Back in the day, my go to was either egg drop or wonton soup and General Tso's. I ordered the Gen Tso's combo with wonton. When the soup came out, I was a bit worried because the broth was dark with soy sauce. That wasn't how I remembered it. Taste was the same, but the wontons have little to no meat. It was basically a wonton wrapper soup. Gen Tso's wasn't what I remembered. I always order extra spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. Also, the batter was soft and so thin, some pieces were as if they weren't battered at all. The rest.. chicken fried rice, crab cheese wonton, shrimp toast and spring roll was average for most Chinese take out. Will I go again? I will, not because the food was great, but because the service was prompt and done with a smile. The food wasn't bad either. It just wasn't the best in the area or as good as it once was. If you haven't been give this place a try!

The food is delicious. Disappointed that I did not receive rice with my meal. The beef and scallop entree was delicious, but one scallop and two pieces of beef was truly disappointing.

Christmas Eve at China Taste was a wonderful experience. The service was great, even with a packed house. Our shrimp egg foo young was delicious. We love this restaurant. Give it a try!

I ate here again, actually forgetting I left a really bad review before. The review had more to do with the service then the food. the food used to be a lot better in my opinion back in the '90s but, I think it was a different chef IDK. I was trying to get food for my mom who was sick and on her deathbed she just wanted China Taste, the lady wouldn't let me pay with a credit card even though she knew who I was... It was bad. she didn't know about my mom being sick though, maybe that would have changed her mind; it probably would have. Mom and i would go here all the time when I was younger. So I got something to eat here the other night. The shrimp toast was phenomenal as always but I feel like their food taste better when it's in the white boxes. they put it in tupperwares for some reason even though it was shrimp fried rice and lo mein. I hope the best for this restaurant. they used to bring my family lots of joy with unique exceptional delicious Chinese food that absolutely set a precedent for me in my life.

I’ve been going to CT for some years now, and haven’t been there due to the pandemic. Just went there tonight for the first time and was greeted like I was there yesterday. Jenny noticed at the end when I wasn’t getting a box to take food home, and offered me a new meal to take home and even offered suggestions. She quickly got me a replacement meal (with sauce on the side so it wouldn’t get soggy by tonight / tomorrow), and even threw in another soup. I was looking for a dine in Chinese restaurant in the Nottingham area of Baltimore. I went to several in the area, and they all were only doing take out, including one which had a nice looking dining room. Fortunate for me though, because such restrictions led me to China Taste, and I was rewarded with an exceptional dining experience. China Taste had a lovely, clean dining area which was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and professional. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh and was very well made. The chef certainly knows what they are doing and takes pride in their presentations. I will definitely be returning to China Taste for another wonderful dining experience when I am in the Baltimore area again. As someone who orders from here almost bi-weekly I can say it's the best Chinese food I've ever had! I love pretty everything on the menu. The shrimp toast is my personal favorite appetizer. We ordered takeout. We were excited due to high ratings. Major disappointment. Food was not even “average.” Soups were not good at all. So back to P.F. Chang’s, where not all dishes are good, but the ones that are, are better than average; plus you can customize at Chang’s. Got spoiled living in Houston, TX and San Francisco, CA. My favorite Houston Chinese Restaurant, Hunans, was a branch of a 5-Star New York Hunans. Don’t know if it’s still there, but still miss it and their caring staff. Difference in good Chinese is not always authenticity, but quality ingredients, non-greasy dishes, consistency and attention to detail.

China Taste is my go to Chinese food place in Perry Hall. I always get the Szechuan chicken or the beef with broccoli and have never been disappointed. First time ordering and, overall, I give it just three stars since there is room for improvement. Order was carry-out and consisted of an order of egg rolls, Pork Egg Foo Young, and Singapore Ho Fun. I live right around the corner (literally 3 minutes) so it's hard to explain why the egg rolls were so soggy. I mean they actual bent under the pressure of a very sharp knife. The Egg Foo Young was the typical three patties. Sadly, and totally my fault for not asking for sauce in a separate container, they were drowned in gravy. A small carton of white rice was included. There was some confusion with the order taker over the Ho Fun. I kept asking for Singapore Ho Fun and he insisted on explaining the difference between Mei Fun and Ho Fun, although I was aware of the difference. (Mei Fun is the skinny rice noodles, Ho Fun is the thicker noodles). Although I kept saying Singapore, he kept saying House Ho Fun. I should have pointed it out on the menu because the difference between the two is regular shrimp in the Singapore, and jumbo shrimp in the House - and a $3 jack-up in price. The Ho Fun was seasoned nicely (could have been spicier) and exactly three large shrimp - not worth the extra $3. The main complaint was the overcooked mushy noodles. I'd stick to Mei Fun in the future. The restaurant is very clean and nicely furnished. I'll give them another try. Hopefully, it will be better. My family has been dining out at China Taste for over twenty years! There's none other China Taste in Perry Hall! Our family goes crazy for their Orange Beef. Huge portions, fresh vegetables and plenty of beef, yum, so good! I would recommend this restaurant every Time! Food is great, atmosphere is quiet and the prices are very reasonable.

We have dined at China Taste for as long as we've lived in Carney: decades. The food quality, value and service have always met or exceeded our expectations. The portions are generous and we always have enough to take home for another meal. Friends and neighbors have joined us and all have agreed that it is a worthwhile visit. I ordered the lunch special on Friday July 12th my totaled should have been almost 7 dollars. (That includes tax). I look at my bank statement on Monday July 15th and I got charged 18.99. I called them to try to resolve this because 7 and 19 are completely 2 different numbers and I didn’t order a lot what so ever. Now the employees are telling me there is nothing they can do about it without a ticket number from the bag then hung up on me because they're too busy to look through their records. Update: The food is very delicious, don't get me wrong. I do want to let everyone know that the manager did resolve this issue and apologized for it was one of her employees mistake. I was refunded back my money. Though I am very displeased of how everything happened. I will more than likely eat here again, but next time I will just use cash. I’ve always love China taste they’ve gotten my order is correct dozens of times but here lately things haven’t been as great. I went through a period where they completely messed up my orders and I had to send the order back, they usually have you send back your sushi even if it was their fault leading me to think that they reuse old sushi because the one that was re-sent to me didn’t seem as fresh.
