We enjoyed perhaps the most impressive cups of coffee we have had in years at Cimarron Coffee Roasters during our stay in Montrose. The prices are also lower than most other places to get coffee.

We stopped through montrose for a few months during the pandemic and we cannot say more about your incredible coffee. Small batch roasted (truly!) And exquisite taste profile. You must be patient to be served, but every minute is worth it. You may have an excellent coffee, with an exquisite muffin and the atmosphere there causes you something that money doesn't give. Totally recommend.

Good coffee (latte) and enjoyed seeing it was a roaster. Only complaint is the lactose intolerance tax on oat milk was something like 92c. Steep charge for oat milk compared to some other locations.

Best double espresso I've ever had in this country! Served perfectly with a glas of water and the muffins are good as well. So beautiful to enjoy the coffee inside a roasteria :D

Cimarron has the best coffee in Montrose. All their beans are roasted in-house and are top notch. Everything on their menu is well crafted and worth a try. Montrose is lucky to have a specialty roaster/café like Cimarron in town.

Great little coffee roaster with a coffee shop inside. The coffee here takes time so don't expect it quickly but it's worth the wait. The teas here are also great and brewed to perfection also. Not a whole lot in the way of food here but that's not really what they are going for. If you have some time I'd go check it out.

Passed through this town while hiking/traveling. Me the owner and an amazing barista. Both mean we're kind, helpful, and knew their products inside and out. My husband has many questions about their roasting process and both were happy to share some knowledge. Also, my chai was maybe the best, smoothest, perfectly frothed latte I've had all year.

Flew into Montrose and wanted to try a local roastery. Carefully crafted drinks, thoughtfully sourced greens, and well roasted beans. If you're in town passing through, the short trek over is more than worth it.

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Montrose. It's little bit off the beaten path but we'll worth it. We had the cortado and latte, always good and served with a friendly smile. Give Starbucks a break and get a "real" professionally pulled shot.

We were in Montrose for a week visiting Black Canyon and my wife would not shut up about this place: she loved it! She’s Australian and coffee is an important affair for her. She consistently had great coffee from different baristas and enjoyed chatting with them during the week. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t judge but the service was great and they have delicious (and big) chocolate chip cookies!

Easily the best coffee in Montrose.

Before I came to Montrose, I was drinking coffee with lots of French Vanilla creamer :( Eric opened my eyes to how amazing coffee can be on it's own and I'm now hooked! I first experienced the "Tuma Tesso #4" from Ethiopia which blew my mind to how much flavor could be experienced in a cup of coffee! Then the "Fernando" was the complete opposite with a butter smooth finish that has become my go to morning coffee! These were my first "pour over" coffees and now I don't drink them any other way. Oh and did I mention he actually roasts everything in house? So you can't get these coffee's anywhere else! If you are a true coffee drinker and want to experience some of the best coffee in the western United States, it's right here at Cimarron Coffee Roasters in Montrose.

Excellent coffee. Muffins are very great. The cookie is as big as my 8 year old's head (I've yet to try because he eats the whole thing before I have a chance). Best coffee in the area.

Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. Brick walls and artisanal, well-chosen coffees make this place a nice, warm getaway from the cold. Me and my wife chatted with the owner and he had a wealth of knowledge that made the coffee we were drinking that much more enjoyable. Feel free to ask questions, he seemed very happy to share! Covid-wise: masks are required when walking around/ordering, tables are spaced out at a safe distance, and you're not required to wear a mask while sitting down. Few tables are open due to the need to be spaced apart.

Best coffee in town. There's no bad coffee in town, but if you want a true barista experience and not just a high-school kid making coffee after school. Cimarron is the place. They're bean roasty machine is right in the room which is cool and the Chimney rock blend is amazing so you should check them out... I would.

This is where the locals come for AWESOME coffee, muffins and breakfast burritos. They roast there own beans on Mondays and Thursdays in 7 shades, light to dark. The Chai and Espresso are soooo.... good!

We've been traveling around the country and this coffee is the best we've had in months. Eric was incredible, the food was great, and the coffee was spectacular. If you're coming through the area, it's 100% worth the stop.

This is a great local coffee place with in house roasting. My wife and I really enjoy the iced (homemade syrup) vanilla latte with oak milk even though we both love bovine milk. Shelby is always happy to help and have a chat too.

One of the best capps I've had. Perfectly pulled shot and foam. My mom got a dirty chai and she loved the bahkti chai and also thought it was perfect. We loved the muffin and were very impressed with the breakfast burritos - both in price and quality. So happy we came here on our way back to Denver

Had a pour over coffee (Kalita) with beans from Rwanda, and it was superb! One of the best coffees I've had in a long while! Will most definitely go back every time I'm in the area.

Soooo yummy! Loved the latte and my boyfriend was a big fan of the drip coffee. We also had a palisade peach scone that was to die for. Will definitely stop by here again when we are stopping through.

We stopped here on our way out of town after camping. Looking at the reviews made it an easy choice and we were not disappointed. I had a latte, and it was near perfect. The owner clearly has a real passion for coffee and espresso, and it shows in the work he does. It might be years before I’m back in that area, but I won’t pass through again without stopping at Cimarron.

Years ago, I was nearly in a state of dispare for the coffee climate in western Colorado. Having grown up in Seattle, I had high expectations of what coffee could and should be. Once I discovered Cimarron Coffee Roasters, I quickly made them my benchmark for quality coffee. As I continue searching out specialty coffee in my travels around the country, I have found few roasters that have the quality of products, attention to detail, cleanliness, identity of palate, and well-brewed cups as I consistently get at Cimarron. Be sure to keep an eye out for seasonal house-made flavor syrups and special offerings. They may change month-to-month.

So, I don't drink coffee. Their chai is amazing and when made with the oat milk (I'm vegan), it's so creamy. My husband enjoys their coffee. The owner even brought over samples. So friendly and the atmosphere of the old brick building they're in is one you'll want to re visit. Thank you!

What a pleasant surprise! I didn't know Montrose had any local roasters, but passing through town for the first time in close to a year, I discovered Cimarron. My Costa Rica pour over was easily the best coffee I had during my mountain road trip, and Eric's knowledge of coffee is first rate.

Amazing coffee. Took some beans home and my friends also enjoyed them immensely. Will stop here as often as I can.

This is the purist's coffee house. You can see the whole operation from raw bean to coffee when you walk in the door, I personally think that is amazing! They specialize in only coffee and are great at it. I also really enjoy the vibe, as it is centered around people who love coffee. I highly recommend getting an espresso. What I dig with that, is that you get a bit of S.Pellegrino to cleanse your palate before. How cool is that? This is the only coffee shop I have seen do that. I only wish they were open Saturday and Sunday, if I really have the hankering for the amazing coffee, I would have to drive to the other location in Ridgway as Montrose is the coffee roasting headquarters. I would take .5 a star off for that, but Google has only whole stars, so I rounded up to Cimarron's benefit.
