I loveeeeee this place I try to go everyday if I can just so I can have a taste of there delicious warm cookies when they first come out 🤤🤤 the owner of this store is the best of the best he is soooo kind and sweet to his customers and could never ever let anyone leave his store upset or not getting what they want. Clown Cone should be on the news for there amazing slushies and cookies

North sides best kept secret. I wandered in after shopping all afternoon with my kids and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and affordable. Service was great and loved the atmosphere. I will admit my youngsters were creeper out by all the clown memorabilia but I loved the vibe. If you're ever near here I strongly encourage you to check them out!

Clowns galore 🤡 As with the name, this place is the clown capital! Being noted online as a roadside attraction, when we were on a mini trip to Columbus with our kids, we just had to stop by. This place has clowns everywhere and I mean everywhere! They are on the walls, the ceilings, and there’s even a sign that says that the clown collection is not for sale, so they must’ve had people that have asked. They have clown piñatas, dolls, figurines…you name it, it is there! The plus of this location, they have ice cream! They also have lots of different types of candies, including those in penny style form. So if your child has a nickel with them, they are able to get a piece of candy in the nickel section. You don’t see places like this that much anymore so it’s very reminiscent of, my childhood at least which was growing up in the 80s. I would definitely suggest this as a stop in if you’re looking for things to do in the area. Was definitely something different and fun to see! Workers are very polite and we had a nice time for the few minutes that we had popped in. Will be back! *If you are someone who has a fear of scary clowns, you are fine. There are none that are scary. If you are triggered by any type of clown, I might rethink going or send someone else in if you are getting ice cream or candy. I wouldn’t skip it all together, let whoever is with you experience it, but have them bring you something out if you are triggered by even the friendliest clown doll. Delivery and take out available. We ordered an ice cream pie for Father’s Day. They were so accommodating helping me select ice creams that would go well together and letting me know what toppings were available. The price of the ice cream pies and their other can’t is incredibly reasonable. We absolutely will be back, and will try another pie soon!

Prices are great, and friendly attitude

U can tell that not single staff member here is servsafe certified. I saw several employees taking care of customers and never once did anyone use gloves or scoops. 1 member dropped candy on the floor and picked it up and placed w the candy being weighed for me. It’s very clear there is a ton of cross contamination going on. It’s obvious that the bulk candy containers or the shelves they sit on never get cleaned. They just keep reusing the same stuff over and over, and this is a major ball drop to let so many violations go by the wayside. So sad because I can’t spend money there anymore

My brother, cousins and I used to frequent Clown Cones as children. I remember the mother and son duo that were the proprietars of this infamous gem of nostalgia. Where else can you buy Superman Ice cream and fiesta (octogon), pizza's. THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL!! Thank you for the great childhood memories.

I use to live right behind this place and I would go every night and was there every day in the summer I have not been in this place in so long and it still looks the same I need to stop by someday I remember when the owner Mark would let me clean the windows I would ask him for a job almost every day but I was too young but he would let me clean the windows he was a great man I wonder who runs it now.

The best in Columbus hands down. The staff is wonderful, and the ice cream is great. I love going here as it being the few novelty stores left with great products and services. Although I no longer live in Ohio this is one of my go to spots on every visit. I hope they stay around for a very long time. Highly recommended.

Great affordable sweet shop that's nostalgic for adults and plentiful for kids

I've been coming here since I was a little kid and this place is still great. Love it.

Today was not a pleasant visit. The customer service has changed and professionalism as well. The tall gentleman wearing sunglasses behind the counter was not pleasant. As a patron I'm standing at the counter, he's standing right in front of me and said: "Miss Lady have you been helped?" ( With his shades on remind you) Thinking he was talking to me, I replied: " Oh no he's already helping me." What sounded like a sarcastic remark he say's: "I'm not talking to you I'm talking to her. (A lady sitting down at a booth.) I said "You just asked and I was replying back. I wasn't talking to you he replied. So I told the young gentleman to stop making my order and walked out. I don't know but...........

Super cute small shop with delicious ice cream and treats. They offer food as well at a reasonable price.

I've been coming to this amazing candy store since I was 3 years old, I'm 37 now. When I began coming, my grandma and mom worked a nail shop next door, and I was here 3 times a day! The older couple was always so sweet, and Mark was so young. lol, it has been a true pleasure visiting clown cone that I decided to go to business school because I wanted to do something that cool. Ultimately, I have other businesses now, but forever, this will be a nostalgic spot for my grandma, mom, siblings, myself, and my now children. We love you Mark thanks for everything, and many thanks to your parents for creating this wonderful place!

I've been going here since I was a child! Mark & family are cool. Hella clowns everywhere though...so if you don't like clowns...don't go in! The prices are VERY VERY inexpensive. I take my own kids every chance I get in the summer. Great memories. 🥰

Holy moly. We've lived in the neighborhood for a few years and just realized what we've been missing. Penny candy, clowns everywhere, kids riding up on bikes- this place makes me feel like the world is gonna be okay. And the ice cream is outstanding, with tons of flavors. Banana pudding and graham central station both blew my mind. Like stepping back in time, and also probably the best ice cream we've had for the price. This place is special.

Wouldn’t change anything here! Went yesterday for milkshakes & came back again today to try other menu items. The few staff members I’ve talked with are incredibly friendly & prepare your order quickly. You’ll find an array of sweets, like chocolate/sour/hard/soft candy and ice cream. Miscellaneous items like sets of salt & pepper shakers too. And they’re cute! Yes, there are clowns all over; making for a unique shop 💓

I love their ice cream and positive attitude

This place is tucked away and is just good vibes. I can’t do ice cream so I give a ton of bonus points to places that have good alternatives (basically, not orange sherbet or rainbow sherbet which every place has). For me they have rainbow sherbet and something called Northern Lights sherbet which is one of my favorites I’ve ever had. I got one scoop of it and it was so good I had to get a second scoop after.

So. Many. Clowns! And really great candy and obscure flavors from the past, like Sugar Daddies and Primrose licorice and CANDY CIGARETTES!! 5 stars, will return.

Been going here for 30 years always made it a tradition to get a scoop of superman icecream with whatever else I get. best superman icecream in town! Along with the lemon cheesecake and banana pudding icecream. Never a bad experience has that nostalgia feeling every time I go there love this place hope it sticks around a long time

Quirky little place that offers ice cream scoops, sundae’s, slushies, milkshakes, floats, cookies and a ton of candy. We tried 2 different flavors of ice cream and really enjoyed them! Peanut Butter Caramel Cookie Dough was delicious and so was Buckeyelicious. Prices are cheap! The staff was friendly. Its a small space, not a lot of room to move around so it can get cramped in there with several people. They have a couple tables to sit inside. Will be back to try more ice cream flavors.

From out of town I was sceptical but hands down banana pudding and cinnamon bun was the best ice cream I've ever tasted !! Def will be back

This place is full of candy and cute toys and loyal people. And it seems to have friendly staff. However - as much as I absolutely adore supporting local ice cream places this one is only for those of us without dietary restrictions. When we asked which of their ice cream was gluten free the attendants were both very nice. But they said they’d never heard of it. So we thanked them and left. If you like ice cream please go and keep up the local ice cream tradition. I can’t in good conscious rate people who don’t mark the nut free, dairy free and gluten free ice cream and also keep the scoops separated. It’s important for so many reasons. Maybe they see this and change it up and next season they’ll have something new to offer the rest of us. That said - the place is packed and everyone is fantastic. It’s clearly a great place just not for anyone who requires dietary restrictions.

I remember when Clown Cones opened almost 50 years ago and it’s still owned by the same owner! I haven’t been back in years, but when my grandson asked for “blue” ice cream, I knew where I would take him. Good customer service, great ice cream selection, and reasonable prices. Clown Cones is reminiscent of the old-fashioned corner ice cream and candy shop we used to go to years ago as kids.

First time ever having ice cream here and oh my I've been missing out. Absolutely delicious. Got black cherry with banana peanut butter fudge in a waffle cone. Great big portion, wonderfully crispy waffle cone. Can't wait to go back! Ohohoh they also sell puzzles!

This place is a gem. It looks unsavory but everyone there is super nice. The ice cream is good with lots of variety. The candy selection is stellar as well. You’d be surprised by what you would fine.

I remember my grandma walking us to clown cone when we’d visit her from out of state. When we moved to Ohio, it was a place we would visit frequently. I remember Mark and his mother were amazing people and greeted my grandmother as though she was a close friend. I used to take all of my kids here as well. We moved out of state so it been years since we’ve gotten to go. I remember they had the BEST drumsticks and Malts. The candy section was so incredible and perfect. I’ll definitely have to make a trip to Ohio soon because I’m craving some good ice cream. I’m happy to know that this place is still open.

Old school shop with all the sweets!

I loved coming to Clown cone when I was a kid. Although customer service was good. The atmosphere is just different...this love coming to this place and being able to take my kids, and tell them about going there with my parents.

Let me say jus say this. My dad (RIP) took me and my sisters here as kids. We took our kids to Clown Cone, can't wait to take my grand daughter. Such wonderful memories as a kid growing up on on the North Side of Columbus. Big City Arcade & Clown Clown was my spot. I wish them continued success!

A Staple of Columbus, Ohio Clown Cone is tucked away in the Northern Lights Shopping Plaza. The owner, whom has been serving our great community since the age of 22 has always added that homemade touch by mixing all his flavors on site, always open to new ideas, and ever a friendly gentleman. This is a locally owned business that, like so many others, has helped to shape Columbus an its surrounding communities. Clown Cone will forever be a historic staple of Central Ohio. Stop on in, I promise you're in for a great treat
