Ribeye was one of the worst I've ever had. The hamburger was dry. Not good. Gizzards and pizza were great

Typical small town bar. Decent food and atmosphere. The food would have been actually quite good if they didn't have hidden valley style store ranch and had homemade ranch.

Ok, you go down this road and you're not sure where it's taking you. Then, you quickly see Club Vega on your right. The outside has beautiful metal work items placed on the wooden facade and their letters (CV) branded on posts down the side of the building. Everyone was friendly. The service was quick. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked potato was hot and fluffy! The only downfall was the hard bread stick. I'm so glad we took a chance to stop here. You should, too.

Anytime we go to visit family we never miss the chance to go to Vega to get dinner or lunch! Other times go for a drink, the owner of Vega is always around and he's AWESOME! You can't ask for a better place to relax 😁!!!

We were passing through on the way to Montana, looking for a place to have dinner. So glad we found Club Vega! The food was amazing, service was the best, and my kids ate more than I’ve ever seen them eat. :) my chicken salad was also excellent, light and perfect. Thank you!

Stopped in town for the night and came here because they had some great reviews. We were not disappointed! Cocktails were good and consistent. For dinner, we got the meat lovers pizza, just a real simple dinner. Considering we're from Chicago, and can be pretty picky with pizza, this was probably the best pizza we've had outside of our city!! Definitely worth stopping in if your on the road looking for a place to eat! We were also able to buy a 6pack of beer to go back to our hotel with!

Stopped for a meal on the way down i-90. Some of the best pickle chips I've ever had. The steak sandwich was really well made and the tip steak salad was great. It was slightly warm but everyone was friendly.

Friendly place with good food. Had shrimp skewers, cheesesteak, and chislic. Very delicious.

I’m sorry but the prices here are outrageous. The cheapest appetizer is $8.95 and that’s for fried pickles. Their 1/3 lb burgers are on average over $12.00. $18.95 for a French dip sandwich. 12” pizzas are $20.00. 8pm beef tips, $24.95. 12oz ribeye, $36.95, 16oz ribeye, $43.95… here’s my favorite, “ground sirloin steak, aka a hamburger… 12oz $19.95. I’m sorry, the food maybe decent but those prices are crazy.

Great service and very accommodating in making me a vegetarian cheese burger with grilled mushrooms on. Lovely small town pub atmosphere.

Ate here after wrestling tournament! Have heard great things and wanted to try the food out! The place did not disappoint!! Food was Amazing. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger was huge and so good. Had Vega fries for side and they were good too! Everyone in my group was very pleased with their food!! Great place we will be back

Food is fantastic and extremely high in price. Female bartenders need better attitudes. And there's one that is way worse than the rest.

Quaint restaurant, family owned and right off the highway. We loved it 🥰 and we’re very happy to find it after traveling.

We were a large party and our server did a great job. The prime rib was good, but it wasn't very juicy, kind of dry for rare. The beef tips were excellent. Shrimp a bit overdone. Will probably come back because they had a big menu selection.

This was such a pleasant surprise! We were passing thru & camping at a nearby Harvest Host site. The steaks were incredible. The owner raises & processes his own beef so it’s fresh, never frozen. Staff was friendly. Local wine served was pretty good too!

Like everywhere they need more help! But the food is worth the wait!! Breakfast,lunch and dinner it’s alway the best

The one waitress served as bartender and wait staff. She was efficient and good. We split a smothered chicken breast. Excellent, I’m glad we each didn’t get a meal, portions were huge. We’d recommend this to anyone coming through Kimball. This is not just a bar, family friendly

We were looking for something other than burgers and chicken tenders, so gave Club Vega a try. The menu has something for everyone. Service was friendly and quick. Food was cooked perfectly!

You definitely don't want to miss Club Vega if you are in or traveling through Kimball. The name is misleading, sounds like a club in Miami and it is definitely a saloon style steakhouse. Cool atmosphere, nice folks, and the food was great!

Tiny town, small business, unpretentious bar serving some of the best food you've ever tasted. You are in Kimball South Dakota and feels like the middle of nowhere because it is. Go into town, a couple of blocks long, and eat at Club Vega. Outside doesn't look like a club but go on anyway. You won't be disappointed. People have come from all over the US to eat here. Prime rib 😋 and a 34 Oz beer. (Be careful if you order the tall!) Owners are wonderful people.

Thick juicy burgers and real good homemade soup. Also, cold beer.

Best hamburger I ever had. We were stranded here a couple days. Bmw car parts took a couple days to get here. This place was incredible. Vancouver, my home town, NYC, Chicago forget about it. The owner explained to me he had been a commercial beef buyer, and demanded the best. Whatever the story, best meat hamburger ever.

We had a fantastic roast beef dinner served to our group of 28. Roast beef was tender and tasty and plentiful, food was served swiftly and was served hot. It made our family gathering very enjoyable!

Quite a rustic “hole in the wall” looking bar on the outside, but clean and friendly inside. Excellent service with a smile and terrific food.. in huge portions! Well worth driving a few blocks off the freeway if you have a vehicle full of hungry travelers 😊

Club Vega put on a treat of a Chinese buffet for Mother's Day. They really went went outside of the local comfort zone with this idea and hit it out of the park!

I came in here a couple of years ago, driving from Rapid City to Detroit. The place wasn't bad. I was, however, expecting a little more out of the steak. I mean, it wasn't bad. But with a 4.7 rating at a steakhouse in the middle of South Dakota, I was expecting a steak that I could practically take a picture of and put it on my wall. The place does have a cool country vibe to it. There is a large capacity. It kind of resembles a hall. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that they rent this place out to locals for occasions. There is also a little room in the back. Overall, there is no picture of the steak on my wall. But Club Vega is a pretty nice place with good food.

It was the best prime rib I have ever had. We sat at the bar in the bartender was amazing she was very friendly happy and very informative about the area. Everyone was so friendly people were laughing and talking music was playing it was wonderful I definitely will go back oh and the oh loaded baked potato was out of this world.

Their food NEVER disappoints! Service was a little slow, but that's only because they were SO busy! A little patience paid off and we were rewarded with AMAZING food!

Traveling from Mitchell to Spearfish, we stopped at Club Vega for a Bloody Mary. Even though the outside doesn’t look like much, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and superb Bloody Mary! The breakfast was great as well. The owner gave us a tour of his establishment which used to include a bowling alley. The historic photos he had of Kimball were very interesting and his use of space unique. He was very personable and you could tell he took great pride in his restaurant. Several people told us what superb food he served. It is not far off the highway which makes it a great pit stop.

Wow! So happy we stopped here! On the way back to Michigan from Sturgis, SD and read a few reviews on this place before we stopped. It did not disappoint! Great steak, shrimp and burgers. This will be a new tradition every year on the way home.

Nice waitress and fast service! Had the 16oz ribeye and salad with ranch. Ranch dressing seems home made and was very good. The steak was done to perfection and seasoned well as if it was just salt and pepper. Sometimes basics are the best! I will be back in the AM for breakfast before departing Kimball.

Great food and drink in Kimball, South Dakota!!!

We took our grandchildren on a Dakota vacation in June. Kimball SD was our stopping point on the return home. Small Town, getting towards evening, received a recommendation from a fan at the little league game to go to Club Vega. Nice, clean bar/restaurant. The waitress provided reliable information about items on the menu. The food was good. The salad bar was well stocked. Travelers need to support places like Club Vega. Otherwise we may see the day when we don't have an alternative to the chain restaurants that tend to cluster around the interstates and offer bland food with indifferent service.

Dinner here made our groups night: fantastic food, great service, and wholesome atmosphere.

Whether hunting or driving through, stop here for a meal and a beer/cocktail. Russ was super friendly and shared the history of the bar with us while we enjoyed some wings and a burger. The patio looks like a social heaven even though we remained indoors. Great food and great guy!

Very impressed with the quality and taste of the prime rib. It was worth every penny. We stay in Platte every year and will now make the drive to Club Vega each year.

Stopped there as a break on our trip to Hot Springs. Ordered a pizza and a beer. The pizza was DELICOUS!!!!! We saved a few slices for later. Heated them up later in our motel room. Just as good reheated as when it was delivered to us at the restaurant.

Down home bar atmosphere, great steaks, marvelous outdoor seating area if you wish. The gals are great and attentive, and if you're there on the right night the lady down the street makes pie.

Wonderful restaurant. Don't let the outside deceive you. Cafe Vega has awesome food & drinks, and even better service. We had the steaks which were perfect. If Madeline is working ask to sit in her section. Good for kids too. Glad we stopped.

A locals place for beer and pool; rinse and repeat. Two weirdest features, a "smoking stall" and an a set of old fashioned stocks harking back to pilgrim era.
