Coast Roast coffee is my favorite coffee in town—it is never bitter or tastes burned, like many other coffees I’ve purchased from the famous chains or even other local shops. The baristas are friendly and helpful, and are very efficient and quick when preparing my order. I also love the crushed ice in my iced latte instead of big clunky cubes!

Delicious coffee, quick service, and a beautiful space both inside and on the patio. I am a huge fan of the chocolate cover espresso bean frozen coffee. It feels like a grown up frappuccino. I’ve never had to wait longer than 2 minutes for my drink. Some of the best coffee in New Orleans!

Quiet shop, with nice atmosphere. Good coffee, but we did not try any of the food. Also the hours are good, a nice place to study or just kill some time. They also have an assortment of coffee beans/gear/merch if you’re interested in any of that.

I visited this coffee shop for the first time and want to provide transparent feedback. The food, specifically, the breakfast burrito was filled with large cut, under cooked potatoes pieces. It was jarring to bite into tough potatoes and greenish scrambled eggs. Additionally, the staff did not seem interested in me entering the shop and were dressed surprisingly casual for a place with so many good reviews. I hope that the consistency of the burritos improves and that the staff received more training, I did not order coffee due to the quality of the service but with all honesty I stand by that decision now having tried the food.

To be honest, I don't understand all the good reviews. For me, this has nothing to do with a good barista cafe. I had an ice latte that came out of an automatic machine (so no barista machine) with so much crushed ice that it tasted extremely watery. Even if they sell their own beans, the coffee just doesn't taste good.

I love CR Coffee! I have been coming here regularly for about three years. The ambience inside and on the patio is so cute and cozy. The afternoons are usually very quiet and chill for studying. My only complaint would be that there are not really many food options but I really adore this place overall!

I have coffee dates with my aunt at least once a month at CR. Each and every time we have experienced nothing less than concierge level customer service from staff. Appreicate the atmospehere, including the music selection the staff plays, that creates a warm and welcoming environment. I highly recommend CR for anyone looking for an authentic coffe shop expeirence. They even have a great patio to sit and enjoy those sunny days while sipping your drink.

Coffee options are great, but the bakery selection is pretty limited.

How many praises can I sing about CR???? ALOT. The staff is amazing, the service is top notch, and the coffee is sublime. My husband and I loooove Roney, she is our coffee angel 😇 💖 and btw buy the CR Stanley cup (WHICH BTW MOMS HAS NO LEAD IN IT). I bought the mardi gras special edition cup 2 days ago and I still have ice in it from the first batch of ice, even when I have poured room temp liquid in it multiple times. It is seriously that good. Run, do not walk, bc they will be GONE. DID I MENTION THE COFFEE IS SUBLIME?

Coffee is always perfectly brewed and delicious. And there is always a specialty drink. Be sure to get one of their great to go mugs. Very friendly staff. The atmosphere at Coast Roast is very inviting. It’s a converted New Orleans house that has a homey inside and a very nice courtyard with tables and umbrellas outside. Again the coffee is exceptional!! And it is dog friendly.

CR is my favorite coffee shop in New Orleans! It’s cozy and has lots of little places to read or spend time working on the computer while sipping my favorite drink. If I ever need to focus on a project or relax away from home this is my spot ☕️

I love the ambiance of the place. There isn’t much standing room near the ordering bar due to the layout of the facility. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor setting. Kinda of expensive for specialty coffee drinks. It was $14 for a large vanilla latte and large coffee.

I wanted to sit down and relax after eating at Mahoney’s Po Boys and stumbled upon CR Coffee Shop, which was right up the street. This is a super nice coffee spot to grab your drink to go or sit down and relax. I ordered a deliciuous iced matcha latte with oat milk, and I have to admit, I stayed here for a few hours. The weather was beautiful, so it was the perfect spot to enjoy my tea and read my book, "No Exit" by Taylor Adams, while people-watching. What more can a girl ask for?

the staff makes you feel like you just interrupted a really important conversation by simply walking in and ordering (im sorry my order make you stand up to press a button). also it’s nearly $9 for a latte one day, and then $6 for the same latte the next. as they charge you for flavor whenever they feel like it. super quiet and awkward atmosphere as well. wouldn’t recommend if you like standard friendly customer service or a reasonably priced cup of pretty mid coffee. at least the food is okay.

Coffee was really amazing and I’m picky on my ice coffee but the swamp monster gave me life great flavor with a nice punch of real coffee but a perfect balance highly recommend

Very cute shop in the garden district. I stopped by as I needed a rest and found the place very aesthetically pleasing plus the swamp thing Halloween coffee was delicious.

i don’t leave a lot of reviews but i must say the mango smoothie was horrible. service was weird. he did not announce my order or call my name, my drink was left sitting on the counter for several minutes until i finally asked if it was my drink. also extremely overpriced, i spent more on the smoothie than i did on lunch..

Their swamp latte was great. Great spot to go for coffee and a snack. They have outside seating out front which is great for people watching and enjoying local french colonial /creole style architecture while sipping coffee and reading a book. Highly reccomend

Hidden gem for the locals. Go to this spot whenever I'm in the area, and sometimes when I'm not. Sent a family member in Dallas a gift basket from this place, and she loved it.

Great addition to Old Metairie. Calming atmosphere even when crowded. Staff is extremely attentive and interact with all customers. They go out of their way to ensure order is to your liking. Outdoor seating is available.

I love this coffee shop! The baristas there are lovely, music is great for reading or getting some work done. Dirty chais are my go to and they are always great! And they allow dogs which is always a plus

Found this place completely by accident walking down magazine street. Just decided I was in mood for iced coffee and would go to first shop I see. Saw it was inside of a house so was expecting it to be like a tiny hole in the wall but it was actually quite big all things considered. Iced Coffee was delicious and it was a relaxing quaint atmosphere. Nice pleasant surprise and highly recommend.

This place is a joke, they don't even have a proper espresso machine. A proper espresso machine does not have a built-in grinder, and has a recognizable brand name, which wasn't the case in this establishment.

Coffee just the way you want it, hot or cold or anywhere in between. They also offer other water-based beverages. There are seats and tables and the lighting is very good. It's a coffee shop so it's pretty much up to personal preference but this one's a nice one in my book.

One of my favorite places to grab a drink with friends, by myself, or with my pup on the patio (I go to the Magazine location 95% of the time)! CR has the best vibe and the baristas are always so sweet to my little yorkie! I enjoy the wide range of hours, the new addition of events, and selection of drink options!

Hidden gem. Lovely staff! The girls and Bradley are amazing at what they do and so so so nice to talk with. Amazing service and outstanding drinks! Also a new location in Metairie! This place is slow pace despite the caffeinated people coming in and out! Bring your laptop to work inside or enjoy the sun and people watching in the garden out front. My favorite spot!!

Enough can't be said about how great Coast Roast is. Even if there's a line it moves quickly, staff is friendly and helpful, and just a really great space, inside and outside. The seasonal beverages are always a treat (Swamp Monster!) and my everyday favorite is the sweet vanilla cream cold brew.

Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Nola. I love that they have all the classics along with really unique drinks I can’t get anywhere else. Always great services too!

CR has the best coffee I’ve ever had!! It has a taste and a richness that I’ve not tasted at any of the other coffee shops around town!

I’ve gotten a latte from CR at least 20 times because it’s right by job. It is reliably bad. The espresso machine is often malfunctioning which gives a burnt taste to the latte that’s hard to cover up with the syrups. They are aware that this is a problem and continue to serve it anyway. I have a coffee addiction and this place is conveniently located which is why I went so many times. I was served burnt espresso probably 30% of the time.

I found Coast Roast Coffee the first week into my almost 2 month stay in NOLA, and it quickly became my goto spot. In total, I tried 12 different locations within the inner city limits, and CR ranked highest for me. From the quality of the coffee, the vibe both within the coffee shop, as well as in the outdoor space, and the overall friendliness of staff, this coffee spot delivered above and beyond. This would without a doubt be my daily spot if I lived in New Orleans full-time. Recommended: Specialty Latte's, Cold Brew (some of the best cold brew I've ever had), pastries and pup cups of whipped cream for your dog.

Best coffee in New Orleans and the baristas are always smiling and kind and amazing to talk to- be prepared the denizens are often tourists who take their coffee seriously - the coffee house is a great place to grab a coffee before a stroll down magazine .

This is an amazing contribution to the bouligny/touro neighborhood! It is so great to walk on magazine street and be able to buy local products of this quality. They also sell king cakes, candles and have the best lemon bars! The staff is amazing and they are so adorable with all of the pups that are outside regulars. Can’t say enough.

Ordered the sweet vanilla cream cold brew and it was the best I have had. Their crushed ice also makes for incredible cold coffee drinks. If you enjoy crushed ice this is the place.

Cute place tucked away on Magazine Street. Tall ceilings on the interior and a charming porch you can sit outside with. Didn’t love the ambiance inside and the section you order in is quite narrow and challenging to navigate if there’s multiple people ordering. The iced dirty chai was good! Prices were VERY expensive - almost $8 for my dirty chai

GREAT place to study, catch up on emails, or cozy up with a book. Seating --They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating provides shade. There is a private room available to be booked for meetings or study groups (book through website to find out hourly rate.) Menu--Check you their menu online! Plenty of options! I'd say prices are better than what you get at competitors based on location. Wifi--Yes! Pets--Pets are allowed. Staff-The staff is courteous and helpful! Parking--Offstreet parking. Lots of offstreet parking available around the corner in neighboorhoods. Misc.--The restrooms are tidy and clean. They play music, and the noise level is managabl. They have outdoor speakers as well which they play at very reasonable level so you can read or study. This place is a gem!
