The food is made fresh, using quality ingredients. No canned veggies. Family owned and run restaurant. Great food, beautiful people. Worth every penny.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I really look forward to the dining experience here; the food is generally on point. The food is fresh, the portion size and the service are for the most part excellent. This was my third or fourth time ordering the red snapper, which is one of the higher priced selections on the menu. They generally give you a generous portion, however this one was very small and seem to have soaked up more oil. I must say I was disappointed that they would compromise without explanation. I will continue to support and recommend this restaurant; I will probably consult with the chef before ordering this item again.

Great vibe, delicious food. Great portions. I had the butter chicken, green beans and black beans. Amazing. Their Mac n Cheese is legendary. Great dessert and tea bar! Very cool place. I'll be back.

I see why this neighborhood restaurant has such high ratings! The food taste like my Grandma’s. Everything was prepared properly, the beef ribs was sliding of the bone!the Candy Yams are just sweet enough not to much! This is a MUST VISIT Restaurant ♥️

I came here yesterday and purchased the beef rib dinner with 3 sides. I couldn't believe that my dinner was $37. And I asked how many pieces do you get with it. He told me 3. I received 2 nice size pieces and the 3rd was basically fatty. I just figured with it costing that much, you would get more food. The food is really good, but not exceptional. I think every food establishment should post the prices for the customers. I shouldn't have to ask, how much for every dinner. I ended up spending $65 for 2 dinners. Which is ridiculous for the amount of food you get. I'm not Muslim, but I still try to support Black businesses. But not when I feel like they're trying to get over. I just feel like these 2 dinners was not worth $65. The other dinner was Butter Chicken. I paid doubled what I would have paid in comparison to another soul food establishment. I'm going back to This is It' restaurant down the street when I can get 2 dinners, 2 desserts and 2 drinks for $35.

ASA Y’all I realize it is Ramadan and folks tend to be a bit short with each other but there is no excuse for poor customer service when running a business. Especially from the owner. First if you order food for Iftar why would it be expected to be picked up at Iftar. I specifically stated for Iftar tonight to be picked up after Jumah. Then the owner tried to justify a bad behavior by stating the order taker understood me to say I will pick up at Iftar. After waiting for the food and asking if I could see it prior to leaving - why did I get a wide-eyed look as if she was insulted because I asked to see the food. This is the third time I have had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant. I am done!!

The food was very good and fresh, you can tell they prepare the their food with love 💕, first time customer and will be back. As well went in on a Sunday and was in and out within 5 mins if that.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for 6 years, in recent months my visits have declined because of lack of respect. This morning I came to order breakfast and patronize because of the quality of food and service. Today was not a pleasant experience, while respectfully waiting in line for the previous customer to receive service , an older lady walks in front of me without saying excuse me, nor did the young lady at the register correct her for skipping the line. After the older lady nonchalantly walks passed me . I order. After 35 minutes of waiting while several customers came in after me and ordered. I walk up to the counter to ask the young lady if my order was ready, she’s like oh it came up 5 minutes ago. I don’t like writing negative reviews, however the amount of disrespect I’ve been receiving when the owners aren’t present is ridiculous.

Food is great.. sometimes service is a little slow but that's not really an issue.. the hibiscus ginger drink is absolutely amazing and the peach pie is a great dessert

This is some of the best food I’ve had in a while, everything was so delicious and fresh and hot. I’m so happy that they were black owned and operated. They have the BEST CHEESECAKE EVER!!!!

It was my first time and I got to say I really enjoyed it, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We took the ribs and chops and also tried the chicken wings and let me tell you the ribs were soft and cooked at perfect temperature. It was just amazing. They had a few side options to go with the mean like green beans and some eggplant stew which were nice. Best thing is it’s even halal so I’d totally recommend it. It is next to a masjid which I thought was nice.

I enjoyed my time at southern greens.The food the staff and the overall atmosphere was top tier. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Atlanta.

While waiting for a tow truck in the pouring rain, I decided to check this place out because I drive past so often. The woman at the tea counter made the best cup of tea I’ve ever had. Got the caramel apple ceylon - a seasonal specialty. Definitely recommend!

A rather underwhelming experience, considering I drove across town especially for my visit…ok food, ok service, ok dining atmosphere…on par with what one can expect at most atlanta restaurants, which is a sad testament to the dining-out scene here in a “major” u.s. city.

Clean and bright we were greeted by someone very knowledgeable about the food and the ingredients that are used in the food if you want clean eating no Pork great-tasting food like at Grandma's back in the day this is the place I highly recommend spring greens

Ive been to this cafe a few times and the staff is great. My only suggestion is some of the dishes could use some improvements. The mac & cheese is mostly loose noodles with cheese on top, which means not enough cheese sauce is being used in the recipe, possibly to cut costs. Good mac & cheese is typically pricey. If you need to charge more, so be it. Customers will pay if they're getting good quality. The corn bread is also a bit dry/hard and always overdone, which means they need new pans. It isn't soft and golden. A new recipe wouldn't hurt either. It's neither buttery corn bread or sweet corn bread. It's just cornmeal with no flavor. On the othed hand, fhey have a great cheese steak and great wings. I still suppport and think it's a great community restaurant and they'll continue to get my business.

The food and the bean pie are always so delicious and tasty! Consistency in the food preparation is important and they have perfected their dishes. Halal and healthy! We had chicken dinner and lamb shank dinner with tasty veggies seasoned to perfection!

The food at Springreens is always fresh and most of all very delicious. The portion size is enough for several meals.

I love coming here food is always good, other then the occasional random need of a little salt. I do not like when a buisness changing quantity is promoting one thing, but you do not receive it and still charge the same price.

This place is amazing for anyone who is a tea lover of such as myself. The service is top-notch and the knowledge of the ladies who work there is impressive they have teased that heal the body and the soul. It's definitely on my list of places to visit on a weekly basis.

I came in for lunch and immediately felt so seen, welcomed, and valued for being there. The woman serving me gave me the biggest smile from the beginning, was so attentive, and thanked me for choosing the cafe for my lunch. And boy I wish I could come everyday. Maybe I’ll treat myself for dinner on the way back from work! 😋 It was some of the best home cooked soul food I’ve had in a long while, with the vegetables done perfectly right. I am not a big meat eater and I sometimes find that soul food spots overcook and ruin the vegetable, but everything seemed fresh here. There’s also a to go salad bar if you’d like that, but for your first time I highly recommend the hot bar. I had the baked chicken (they give you two pieces which is so generous) and two sides—the veggie rice and the green beans! Both so good! My favorite was actually the green beans. Ask what they recommend; they’ll tell you what’s special that day that they don’t usually serve. You can tell this spot is dedicated to serving the community. Such a peaceful and positive spot. It is also halal and a very welcoming place for Muslim customers which is great. Proudly black-owned. I hope to see this spot stay around for a long time and for more places like this to open around the city! I’ll be back soon—much love to you all!

During my trip to Atlanta in 2018, my wife and I stumbled upon the Community Cafe and were in for a delightful surprise. The Halal restaurant is tucked away in a cozy location and offers a range of Southern-style fare, sandwiches, and salads. We ordered the grits and a few other dishes, and each of them was cooked to perfection. What made the experience even better was the kindness and hospitality of the host. She was welcoming and made us feel right at home. The casual atmosphere and the friendly staff made for a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Community Cafe to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Southern Style Halal cuisine in Atlanta. Thank you, Community Cafe, for your warm hospitality and mouth-watering food!

I went to this restaurant yesterday after shopping at Publix. I came across it by mistake and was Thrilled. To my surprise I was greatly disappointed. The lady that served me that afternoon gave me the smallest pieces of chicken she could find for the lunch menu ,the smallest portion of Mac and cheese ,it was actually insulting. I purchased a kids plate for my nephew and a lunch plate for me,of course the portion would be smaller but this was ridiculous. I was completely disgusted at her service and the portion. for 18 dollars. I purchased it because I didn't have the heart to not support small businesses,but this review is for the community who deserves to be treated fairly when we do support. So you get 1 star for being of poor service to the people. STEP YOUR GAME UP!!

I have not been LOL but just watched Restaurant Impossible and I give them a 5 for surviving, for thriving, for being community oriented, for sharing culture and love. I am BEYOND THRILLED this restaurant survived and hope it continues to thrive. We need MORE of this .... more "community" more love. Great job guys!!!

I love this place. So charming and friendly. Soul warming food. Healthy food. Simple dishes but made with incredible flavor and texture. The hot bar is always fresh and good, and the menu is actually quite expansive. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. My neighborhood favorite.

This place is the BEST IN VEGAN, KOSHER/HALAL! Bad Customer Service does not exist here. This location is prime for Family Night Dinners and Business Luncheons. They've been known to host Entertainment, as well as open up to the public for Social Occasions. This restaurant has a history of Community Service. They are very clean! Try their Specials, and remember to checkout their Beverage Bar for an array of Herbal Teas, which I personally enjoy anything with Ginger and Hibiscus! Their Mac and Cheese gives due competition to any other vendors (FACTS)! If you're a lover of Seafood, try all of their Fish dishes! Remember to grab their Menu upon leaving, as I believe that they also do Uber Eats! Enjoy!!

My bf was cooking pork at home and ironically I ended up stopping here. The food was fresh af tasted great. Whiting meal and Coleslaw was homemade and really good. I'll def be back. Great pork free option for the area.

We were visiting from Chicago and were looking for a halal restaurant. We found this gem. The food was really good Alhamdulillah! The staff was REALLY sweet. It was the first time I had tried collard greens. It was delicious! Will recommend to friends and family!

One of the best soul food spots in Atlanta. Not to mention they don't only serve soul food. Because it's a small, family run restaurant, wait times can be a little long ONCE IN A WHILE, especially Fridays after about 3pm. Other than that it's excellent! Tastes like home!

I have to admit my wife and I decided to visit this restaurant after seeing it on a recent episode of Food Network's "Restaurant Impossible". The place looks great with the recent remodel that was done, and the staff was really nice. We had the fish sandwich, which was really delicious. I was a little surprised that it was served on multi-grain bread instead of a bun. Nevertheless, the sandwich was good. It was not over-fried at all, and it tastes very fresh. Really liked the basket of fries that accompanied my sandwich. And at $7, I felt it was a good value. I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Marie's is one of my go to spots in Atlanta. The shrimp over grits is a must have, as well as the beef stew, oh and the fish supreme. Pretty much everything taste great. Sometimes service can be slow but the food makes it well worth the wait. Everyone is friendly and pleasant. If you go on a Friday then be ready for a wait because it is usually their busiest day (aka packed house). The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that is given.

Their baked or fried fish salads are delicious! I like the tuna salad sandwich on the toasted whole wheat bun. We usually cap off our meal with a cup of hot fresh ginger tea.
