For six years I have heard co-workers periodically talk about these amazing donuts. I live 45 miles away and work from a different office. Well my husband and I found ourselves in Onancock this past Saturday and let me tell you they did not lie! Best donuts ever!

Fast, friendly service. Great pastries

We were taking a road trip for my daughters 18th birthday and staying in Cape George for the big day. I tried to find a cake but all the bakeries near us were closed. So we decided to take a drive up the peninsula to see what we could find. We happened upon Corner Bakery. Omg I’m so happy we did! They were so nice and were able to accommodate us even being last minute. The cake looked beautiful and tasted even better!! Afterwards we checked out the reviews and it’s clear they are quite a gem! I will always remember Corner Bakery for making this day extra special and extra tasty too!! Thank you!

Everything was tasty. The only annoyance was we wanted eclares order eclares. They gave us long johns. I believe they were long johns instead of eclair's but the long johns were amazing so I hate to even complain.

Amazing bakery that has been in business over 100 years per one of the local artisans. There was a line to the back of the store and the locals told us there is often a line down the street. My advice, get there when they first open or you may not get anything, because their food is so delicious that it sells out! We were not disappointed with the sugar cookie, glazed doughnut, cinnamon roll, or cream puff that we all shared, but we missed out on everything else that had already sold out. We'd love to have tried their Maple Bacon, Reese's, and Strawberries and Cream Cheese doughnuts, but they were all gone! We highly recommend making a trip here! The man behind us in line traveled from Virginia Beach to get doughnuts so that lets you know just how good they are!

You can't find any cream puff donuts better than them. Not even Dunkin Donuts!!!

A must-try for any trip to the shore. We got a mix of donuts, danishes, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon buns, pecan buns, and eclairs. Their dough for all of their baked goods is incredible, but the danishes might actually be one of the best menu items. The dough is incredibly light and fluffy and the toppings (blueberry and lemon) were intense and not too sweet. The only thing I wasn’t wild on were the eclairs - the filling is more of an icing rather than a custardy, patisserie filling that I prefer and ended up being way too sweet for me. Literally every other item was perfect and the prices were very reasonable, so I still wouldn’t give them any less than 5 stars!

Best bakery in the United States. I'm a local, currently residing in north carolina, 48yrs old and have been going there since I was a kid. Every time I come back home to visit, it is mandatory for me to stop by and get some for me and the family. PS. You can never go wrong with a cream puff!!

I’ve eaten a lot of donuts in my lifetime, but nothing compares to these. I especially love the buttercream chocolate frosting on the glazed donuts. They are super rich, fresh, and just sheer goodness.

I've been coming to this establishment since I was a kid. When I lived in Onancock I used to think it was "good" and nothing else. When I moved elsewhere, I realized nothing else comes close to it. Even the "top" places in Richmond, DC, or NYC. I'm so happy this place is still around and that they're still cranking out amazing stuff without sacrificing quality. A true hidden gem!

I have no idea how they make a donut taste sooooo good! Coming from Texas where there are donut shops on every other block I can say this donut shop tops them all!

Everyone you talk to in this town points you to this bakery! I mean, for one good reason - their donuts are large, filled with sugary cream and LESS.THAN.A.DOLLAR! Crazy right?!?! It was pretty packed when we got there, but they are nothing if not efficient. The wait was not long and we were soon able to walk away clutching 6 tasty looking donuts. There are PLENTY of flavors to choose from, so hang back from the line so you can take it all in before placing your order. Overall, they were pretty solid donuts. My biggest thing is that I like a little stiffer dough and they were very sweet for someone who tends more to the bitter, savory side of things. Honestly though, if you are staying in Onancock to catch a ferry or just passing through, it is definitely worth a stop. TIP: Get there on Saturday because they are closed Sundays!

Been going to corner bakery since was a kid and the bakery was on the other corner across the street! Never disappoints and yesterday got to try Ms Connie s pumpkin cinnamon buns that the bakery made on her birthday! Over forty years in the bakery! Thanks again for the great desserts and memories!

We got 1 of everything they had left. Even at 3pm everything was fresh and delicious. The eclair was our favorite. We are going to try their sweet potato biscuits next time!

Yummy 😋 donuts & cookies, etc. Prices are great,especially considering what you get! The cookies are thick and packed w flavor. (It must be all that butter!) The donuts are exceptional in that they seemed to be a thick yeast donut with a cake donut-like consistency. My coconut and vanilla cream was the BEST ever! 😍 Soooo good! I found it was even better with a gulp of cold milk after each bite!! I was literally full by the time I'd finished. The Corner Bakery is a simple, small town establishment that you must pay a visit to when in Onacock.

What a great bakery!!! We stopped by for getting donuts and were surprised by the variety. Every flavor was super tasty and we can definitely recommend this place.

9 of us got our sweets and the bill was just over $13. Wow! All were great. We are real sorry we didn't find this place sooner during our vacation in the area. If you are reading this, just go! You won't be disappointed.

Only had one overnight in town but saw the reviews for this bakery and had to stop in. Some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had in my life. Expect a line when you go in but it is certainly worth the wait!! So delicious and prices were so affordable!!

I had the absolute best Eclair that I've ever had. It was rich, not sweet and the pastry melted in my mouth as soon as I bit into it. Every time I am in town I will definitely be back!

Stopped in 1/14/23 during a day trip. We got to Onancock about 12.40 and picked out a box of doughnuts. We saved them until we got back to Princess Anne MD. Around 5pm the glazed twist blew my mind and taste budds. 😋 the corner Bakery was recommend by our daughter who wanted a box of cream puffs which was just asBBQ....... 2nd trip we got there 1230 on 3/18/23 quick service even with the long line saved a swirl for breakfast with the fixings......

This place, the staff and especially the donuts are perfect. Everytime I go anywhere close to Onley I have to swing by this place. Update. They improved on an already perfect score. So much more variety and the quality of everything is still all 10's. This is a location that you must visit and the staff is exceptionally amazing.

Best glazed donuts, best cream puffs, and best eclairs ever made in the history of the universe, and I'm lucky enough to be within walking distance of this majestic heaven on earth! The line is usually long but it moves fast, and it's usually quite crowded inside. Maybe in nicer weather they could have outdoor seating somewhere? 🤔❤️

This was my 1st time at your bakery, and I have to say... Your donuts are the best I have ever had in my lifetime, I'm 59 years old and have traveled all over, I will be back to purchase more of your products to bring to my family up north, And my friends down south. Price is great. Cream stuffed pastry is not creamy. It's more like stuffed with icing. Cinnamon swirl pastry was doughy. Maybe needed 2 more minutes in oven?

Donuts were ok but the staff was rude. Most likely wouldn’t go back because of the unfriendly service.

We don't generally go in for doughnuts or desserts, but if you are anywhere close, please try this shop. Heretofore, krispy kreme would be the light, airy pillows of perfection, but these folks have raised the bar. If you get there early, like 7;30a, you'll get them right as they are coming out. if you have to wait, that's OK, it'll be worth it. You are going to be tempted to eat it right there inb the shop. They are so good. The pecan rolls and sticky buns aren't shabby either. These folks were very friendly and the products are great. Please get there. Seriously, Yum

If you want to experience heaven but aren’t quite ready to commit to the full experience you can opt for corner bakery which allows you to explore heaven, taking it all in, while still alive. It’s hard not to devour it as if you’re ravenous after getting lost on a trek but try to slow down as much as possible so you can get the full extent of flavors and texture that bring you to pure bliss, a complete escape from reality. I don’t get to go often enough but when I can I make the 30-40 min drive specifically for that little taste of heaven.

This place has changed my whole framework for donuts. These guys are my new gold standard. They've replaced Krispy Keene as #1. This is a can't miss stop whether you are a local or just passing thru.

We stopped at the Corner Bakery on our way to New Jersey. It is located in a small quaint town just a few miles off the main route. They serve mainly donuts with an additional case with cookies. The main menu highlight are the cinnamon rolls. They come with or without nuts and raisins. I opted for the pecan roll and the lemon custard roll. Both were excellent. Next time I will be ordering the donuts to try.

OMG I wait for these delicious infections preconditioning myself leave off of sweets until I get there two or three times a year. Such a treat😋 A real Bakery without cereal or candy toppings to change the flavor. Nothing your mouth glazed donuts and long johns.

GREAT Donuts, they go fast so by 3 there's not much left. BUT they don't really have anything else but donuts and cinnamon rolls in various shapes. No bread, no cakes or cupcakes and every time I stop in the coffee is never made so don't expect to go here for a nice coffee and donut experience. I wish they would try just a little harder this place has so much potential. The owner isn't friendly and seems to have a sour face ALL THE TIME which I am realizing is typical eastern shore.
