Our waitress, Joann, was amazing. The menu was superb. I haven't seen a simple classy Italian style menu in years. More like 40 when I worked in an Italian restaurant. The bread was so soft served with oil and red peppers. I had pasta e fagioli soup that was loaded with beans and very tasty. My son gave me his chicken noodle soup. It was good, a little too much salt for me. Then we had the fried calamari with banana peppers. They had just the rings. I like the tentacles however it was tender. My dinner was the veal saltimbocca. The veal was paper thin and delicious. The medallions of mushrooms where perfect and the wine sauce was terrific. I will say it did taste better the next day. Everyone at our table had nothing but praises about the food. Thank you Corner Bistro we will be coming back

What an amazing place. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff! The veal sorento was absolutely delicious! The pasta fagioli, the calamari, the bread, the potatoes and veggies... all 100% fantastic.

My wife and I visited Corner Bistro on a visit to Connecticut for a wedding. We left Houston that morning very early, had a layover in ATL and then flew on to Providence where we rented a car to drive the rest of the way. Corner Bistro is an unassuming restaurant on a quiet two lane road. The ambiance is very homey and comforting. For our appetizer we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, which were stuffed with a delightful seafood concoction that melted in your mouth. Our soup course was a pasta e fagioli which impressed us both. My wife hates beans in all of their various forms, but tonight she really enjoyed them. Our main course, which we split, was scrod al marinara with linguine. The cod was perfectly cooked, tender, flakey and flavorful. The pasta I suspect was made fresh, given its delightful texture. Overall a fantastic experience. A lot of food for not a lot of money.

Had an amazing dinner. The owner and all the staff were warm and friendly. The Veal Marsala was awesome. The Chicken Eggplant Parmesan was wife's choice, and it was literally hanging off the plate. I will recommend this to anyone.

I gave such a good review last time. the food was good, but they accidentally put red sauce on my gluten free pasta when I haf asked to have it mixed with my chicken saltimbocca. When she brought fresh pasta right away. I asked if it was gluten free and said yes, but two days later and I am still swollen and aching. This will cause me problems for a long time so I won't be eating there again

Came here with a friend recently. It is a charming place with very New England style. The Italian food is great and service was fast for a full house. It's nice they give soup with main dishes and bread.

I almost didn't come here because I saw a review saying the food was bland. I'm so glad I came anywags, I got Chicken Parmesan with Pink Vodka sauce and Linguine, it was AMAZING! The portions were massive and I got about two whole breasts worth of chicken and the sauce was so so yummy, I had about 2/3 of my meal as leftovers. I'm definitely coming back here!

First time visit. Quaint atmosphere with nice outside fireplace to wait for seating. Service was quick and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were delicious. Scallops are a good test of a quality chef. Mine were perfectly seared and melted in my mouth. Clearly fresh and sweet.

We went there on the Sunday late afternoon food was okay been there before I was very good but that Sunday we went food was okay at best

I've been coming here every so often for the past 12 years, it just gets worse and worse. I'm confident they use cheap jar sauces, box pasta, and frozen food. It's unbelievably expensive for what they serve. Me and my girlfriend each got an entree and one appetizer with no drinks, the bill was $85. I don't recommend this place. It's sad because this place used to be genuinely good, I've even taken dates there and the atmosphere is really good. The food really is just is awful and the price is way to high.

Excellent experience from service to the quality of the food. The food was old-school Italian. Generous portion size, well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

We have been looking for places our family can meet. We are 12 - 14 adults and 1 child, but by the end of summer there will be 3 children in high chair. We found th4 Corner Bistro this week. A side note- 4 of the adults worked in a restaurant, we know how we should be served. This restaurant is comfortable, the service was outstanding, and our food was to die for!!!!

Tried for the first time and was blown away! The entire service was amazing from beginning to end! Started with the fried calamari which was perfectly battered and fresh (just make sure you ask for marinara sauce) I had the cod with Scallops and my wife had the Tuscan chicken pasta. Both were absolutely incredible! The bread that was offered was soft and fresh but also flaky and crispy on the outside! Will definitely be back again, not sure why I hadn't tried this place sooner!

The food here was very good. I had the Tuscan pasta, and the pistachio cake so so delicious. You expect good Italian food in Providence or Cranston, this place has very good Italian food. Give this place a try.

Imagine having the best Italian food of your life only no traffic to get to this place cause it's out in the woods! Take you in-laws they will be so impressed your gaurenteed to make it into their will.

Everything I had was packed full of flavor and sensationall. Don't rob yourself of the Brocoli Risotto, that alone makes me really want to go back. The steak was pretty flavorless unfortunately, but more excuse to try out the rest of the menu. My waitress was amazing. Quick with the refills and very friendly. The staff was cool as well

The food is good but they do not take reservations so wait times can be long and they refuse to seat you until everyone in you party has arrived even if it is not busy.

The Buratta salad was amazing!! Don't order the fish though. Good service.

It's best to get pasta here as I think that's probably what they do best. Don't bother getting steak because it's really terrible. Seafood dishes were just okay. The worst part is that this place is REALLY noisy. I mean, horribly noisy! The acoustics are really bad and we couldn't have a conversation with our dinner friends. FYI they tack on an additional cost if you use a credit card. So annoying to see this in restaurants now. Yes, I know businesses get charged a small fee but it's part of doing business and the overhead. I really doubt we'll ever be back.

Large portions of food great quality friendly service.

My wife and I went there Saturday for the first time, I ordered the chicken piccata and she ordered the chicken franchise the Food was excellent in the portions were good.. unfortunately the second time we went, they served pasta Vazul with no pasta!!! Really????? And the calamari was $15 and it barely fed two people.. very skimpy!!! Very sad because we really did like this place.

Went with a couple of friends and we could hardly hear each other it was just so noisy. The octopus salad had a lot of other little stuff and lots of greens to hide the fact that there was very little Octopus in it. The bread looked like it was one roll cut into small pieces, and it was for three people. My meal was good but there was very little to it. My friends had the Veal Parm which looked good but not very large portions. When it came to dessert my Carrot cake was a nice piece and one dessert was rice pudding which came in a large glass, but my other friend had the Tiramsu and it was a VERY small piece. The only thing that was good were the stuffed mushrooms, they were good size and the taste was good. . All in all I would say for the prices they charged it was not worth it. It would be a nice cozy little place if it was not for the noise. I would not go back

Absolutely delicious, fresh, generous portions, comfortable environment, friendly, clean, reasonable. We sat outside in front of the fireplace while waiting for a seat, having a sangria. They do not take reservations.

Meatballs we ordered were very good in excellent red sauce. Wasn't a big fan of the 'white sauce' on my dish - it was butter and a little garlic, no wine or cream. Seafood was delicious and plentiful with a large portion though.

Enjoyed Corner Bistro this evening! Had the burrata salad and eggplant stack app special, both were delicious. Sat at the bar about 6 seats there (if you were wondering), service was efficient and friendly. I recommend.

I have never had such a great, fresh veal in a restaurant such as this. This food is amazing. Will be sure to come back. You pay for what you get for sure, no problem paying extra for great quality food. For those reviews about the fee for using a card for payment, it states this on the first page of the menu.

Last night my mother brought me her left over veal and peas with polenta... It was delicious! When I asked her where it was from she told me the Corner Bistro. Tonight my husband and I had a date night and of course we went to Corner Bistro. The service was great, the hostess and waitress were very friendly. The restaurant had a laid back atmosphere, and the decor made it feel like your at a relatives house eating dinner. I have celiac disease, they have gluten free pasta and they were very accommodating. Most of all... Oh my god the food! I wish there's a better word than delicious. The bread, home made dressings, the soup, so good! My husband had the shrimp scampi and they made it spicy just for him which is how he likes it, the shrimp were HUGE and the pasta was cooked perfectly. He loved it! I had the chicken Josephine which was totally scrumptious. The portions were large, which I love. My husband is a wicked picky eater and he declared Corner Bistro our new date spot. I can't wait to go back and try there other delightful dishes.

Went there for an anniversary dinner with the hubby. A nice and cozy place. Went on a Sunday night to avoid the long wait and we were seated right away. I ordered the pasta with vodka sauce and he order the shrimp scampi. Both dishes were delicious! Definitely plan on going again.

Beautiful rustic italian american restaurant. Had the chicken parmigiana with two huge cutlets and a bowl of pasta with fresh red sauce. Entree came with a soup and for 3$ I added on a crisp house salad.

Food is excellent, large portions, good drinks, fair prices. The only problem is the extra 9.00 dollars tacked on my bill for using a credit card. At least have a notice that this is your policy, but no notice anywhere until you get the bill

Small , cozy, eatery. The meals are not small and sometimes you take half of your meal home. The veal & chicken parmesan is delicious. the salmon dinner is very good. Thursday nights they have a special menu which is a bargain. It is busy and no reservations. So get there before 5pm and you should get seated. It opens @ 4pm. Look them up to get the hours and days open. You won't be sorry.

Food was amazing!!!! Waitress excellent!!! This restaurant is top notch. Traditional Italian (we had veal parm) was to die for! Scallops were fresh, plentiful and tasteful! My favorite was linguini and clams the last time we went!!!

Reminds me of a old farmhouse- everything from the small wood fire pit burning outside to the wicker baskets and old kitchen tools hanging from the walls and ceilings. Small and cozy with really great food. The seafood mushrooms were excellent and I highly recommend the chicken sorrento. My husband had a special if calamari and octopus- simmered. He really enjoyed it but hard pressed to see much octopus- seemed to be loaded with calamari. They don’t take reservations and I’d recommend you plan to pay by cash to avoid the extra credit card fee.

One of my favorite restaurants in the state, this place serves authentic Italian food in a rural environment. The server gives each table prompt attention and knows the menu well. Variety of options all with fresh ingredients. Personal favorite is the Chicken Salamabuca. Drink selection is always on point (beer, mixed and wine). Awesome bartop, They don't take reservations, there's no TV. Highly recommend for a date night or a quaint family gathering.

Quaint, little place. Food is a little pricey but absolutely delicious and portion size is great! Joanne the waitress is a doll and Karen the owner is a peach! My bff and I spent a lot of time there having dinner and exchanging gifts in front of the fireplace. We felt welcomed not rushed at all! The staff interacted with us! I will be returning! Visit the Corner Bistro often. Not only is it close to my home, the food is delicious. The Hostess and Waitstaff are always pleasant. I love the broccoli, shrimp and pasta along with tiramisu for dessert (which by the way) is imported from Italy. Try it you’ll love it!
