I was staying in a hotel nearby and this was the only restaurant open late. I took my chance and drove up to this quite residential neighborhood, but as i stepped in, i was greeted by a live band and a room full of diners. Excellent food and flawless service. Ramon at the bar was fantastic! Highly recommended.

This is NOT a restaurant where you should go to eat a great meal...It's a restaurant where you should go to EXPERIENCE a great meal! I had the duck, which I recommend enthusiastically, and paired it with a Michigan Riesling from Black Star Farms. The semi-dry wine was the perfect pairing with the duck and sweet blueberry glaze. For dessert, I selected the chocolate mousse, which was also very good. Bring your friends for a first-class meal and pleasant company in this quaint neighborhood hangout, and prepare for a pleasant surprise.

The atmosphere was cool. I have to say that the chairs kinda suck, I was afraid to move for fear the chair would break. My husband felt the same way. My food was different, but still very bland, I had to add a good amount of salt. I had 2 white Russian drinks and I believe there was more ice than alcohol. I felt nothing from the drink whatsoever, but it was tasty. For $10 a drink it should been bigger or at least had more alcohol. We took a piece of peanut butter pie, and it was absolutely delicious!

We had the duck breast and vodka pasta was very good great flavor had a live band on Thursdays so we got to enjoy that as well as the great service

It was crazy busy with people at every table and in every seat at the bar, and the staff actually seemed to be ENJOYING themselves. What a breath of fresh air! Smiles, efficiency, attention, kindness, helpfulness, fun, politeness, respect, and I could go on, but I think people will understand what I'm getting at :) ★MUSIC! They have a great lineup of musicians who also love what they do, and it shows in their music and interaction with everyone else. It's lovely. ★PRICE/VALUE Unexpectedly delighted when someone else paid, so I don't know, HOWEVER, I can't imagine one wouldn't find their experience worth every penny plus a generous tip!

Finally visited my neighbourhood pub, O'Duffy's, on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at the beautiful historic bar with a friend for drinks. Outstanding bartender & congenial atmosphere on a quiet day. Often there is live music in the evening. A local gem!

Had a wonderful experience here this past weekend. Came in and hung out with the cutiest little girl and the lady behind the bar, Olga, I believe. Olga, you are super cute and interesting, next time I come in, I'm getting your number! The Italian bread I got to go was INSANE. Full garlic clover roaster and soaked in olive oil. My GOD. Phenomenal. The Turkey Pot Pie was by, without a doubt, the BEST pot pie I have ever eaten in my life. And this is coming from a former baker. I don't know if I could do what you're doing. Simply incredible. Go check this place out, it's phenomenal!!

The service was great. We would have preferred the quieter atmosphere of Cosmo's, but it can't be helped when businesses are short-staffed. Most of the food was very good, but the pasta with vodka cream sauce was mushy and tasted like it had been in the pot for a very long time. 😢

The wait was a bit long (1.1 hrs for a table) but they were extremely busy. Food and atmosphere always a 9.5!

Went with a big group and the service was fantastic. We all had a great time and everything tasted amazing. I had the pork tacos and margarita, great combo! For dessert, the tiramisu was the best!

Good pint of Guinness, good music and good atmosphere. Bartenders and patrons were very friendly. Will be back again.

While I've enjoyed Cosmo's and O'Duffy's to get together with friends for years, I recently attended a private event at Cosmo's and was even more impressed than usual! The evening felt so warm and intimate with our group filling the restaurant, and the chef and other staff were so kind and accommodating. A full restaurant is a great challenge normally, but I imagine the challenge increases when the restaurant is full of people who have all ordered at the same time! The staff took it all in stride, made sure we had more than enough of what we needed and were kind to boot. I had the famous spinach and feta burger and the tiramisu. I'm not sure I've ever eaten anything better than those two dishes! I'll be back soon with even more appreciation for this local favorite that you shouldn't neglect, especially if you're visiting Kalamazoo. Special thanks to Ashley for making this event possible!

I have a huge number of food intolerances. I had salmon and white rice which were excellent. That may not sound like much of a choice, but I have been to restaurants where I could not eat anything, a restaurant where I could only eat fish, could only eat rice. The others in my party enjoyed their food. This was our third visit there. Beautiful old wood bar. Excellent service. Food is made from scratch. White rice was not on the menu but rice with stuff in it was on the menu which shows they cook from scratch.

We went to Cosmos Cucina for Sunday brunch today. It was easy to get a table; they weren't busy. The wait staff was welcoming and friendly, made sure we were taken care of. Husband had the Eggs Benedict and he said it was very good. He also had a bloody Mary, which he didn't love, he said the pepper used as a garnish was odd tasting. I had the yogurt granola parfait, which came in a biel nit a parfait glass. It was ok but I didn't lube the dried apples in it. The restaurant is on the 2d floor (the O,'Duffy bar is downstairs.) The stairs were kind of steep and scary for me with some balance issues. Prices were about average for the area. We would consider going there again, but I would order something different

Stopped in to have a quick drink - Sidney and Ramone were great! Sidney made the BEST vodka lemonade I’ve had in a long time! It may not sound like a hard drink to make..but it was perfection! Ramone was super personable and fun!!! Highly recommended!

the patio is very quiet and a great place to enjoy a meal. the spaghetti and meatballs were fantastic regardless of the tomatoes being a bit chunkier than i prefer.

Great food with a dash of racism. If not for the hour wait between being seated and getting out food, owner came out to chat with the couple next to us about how dangerous the neighborhood had become over the years. This couple having been seated after and receiving their food 30min before us. My wife being the only PoC in the restaurant, couldn't help notice we were the only table without our order. Not only that, they charged us the higher price for a combo; a slap in the face for what was the worst service I've seen in some time. To top it all off, the table that got their food before us oddly invited the patrons to applaud the staff. There really are two Americas. Be better Cosmos...

Was pretty disappointed with how long we waited there without even being approached by any staff to take our names or give us a time estimate. People behind us in line had reservations and were also waiting to be seated.

Nice surprise find. I’d never been there. Cosmos is closed but O’Duffys was nice. Great food and an ok drink selection. No high end bourbon but the cocktails were great.

COSMOS is a wonderful Kalamazoo restaurant! The food is always delicious and healthy. Love that they use local farm fresh ingredients.

Tucked away in the Vine Neighborhood, O'Duffy's, the best bar in Kalamazoo always makes you feel like you are in your neighborhood bar. There are, thankfully, no TVs. Instead, the hum of conversation, friendly staff, great drinks and amazing food from Cosmo's Cucina in the bar or upstairs in the restaurant. My favorite gathering place.

We are indeed attached to O'Duffy's and Cosmos Cucina, our local pub in the Vine District of Kalamazoo, MI. We usually have their weekly suggestions with our drinks, but sometimes go for a proper meal with friends. Their somewhat eclectic cuisine is always an enjoyment although timing is a recurrent issue. With the coming out of the pandemic they are trying new arrangements, so now we sit at a table painted with the Irish flag in the parking lot round the back, but we feel safe from viral intrusions. I recommend their New Zealand lamb rack or pasta with asparagus, never a disappointment.

Still the best neighborhood bar in west Michigan! Our fav is the gorgonzola burger and a pint of Guinness...but their entire menu is delicious.

Great food and a cozy Irish style pub. May have found my new favorite bar in town.

Service was extremely slow - from the kitchen. We waited over an hour for our breakfast meal. Waitress was very attentive.

One of the coolest spots in Kalamazoo. Best place for an amazing 5 star meal that didn't break the bank. Old building gives this place character and a welcoming atmosphere. One of my most see places, you will not be disappointed here.

Food was incredible, the homemade pasta truly set the dish apart. Great ambiance, highly recommend giving this place a shot. It is small upstairs so I recommend at the very least calling ahead or making a reservation.

Ordered tomato basil soup as they were out of the Caesar salad. Who runs out of salad?? Then wanted the chicken pot pie but that was sold out so got lasagna. The soup was interesting. Not your typical tomato basil. It was more consistency of pizza sauce. Not bad but it seemed slightly burned as it had a Smokey flavor - not sure if that was intentional. Then the lasagna. Portions were fine. Came with a mini salad (???? Per above). The flavor of the lasagna was there but it had been reheated and had been sitting around a while. It was dry. You know what was really good? The bread. Fantastic bread. This was my first time here. Shall I come again? Service was good. Was way too expensive for what I got. With a drink it came to 40 bucks. Sigh.

We had a great experience. Extremely busy but still excellent service and atmosphere. We will be back. We enjoyed talking and sampling some fine Irish whiskey. Looking forward to trying a dinner entree here. We only had room for dessert, but it was awesome. Thank you!

Delicious food and fantastic atmosphere. We had a bit of a slow service, our drinks took a while to get to us and so did our food, but when it got there is was fabulous. That Peruvian chicken was absolutely delicious.

Fresh! Very pleased with the overall taste and quality of the food and ingredients. The Cornedbeef hash was excellent and perfectly prepared. One thing to note, speed of preparation and service was slacking. I went on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t that busy but it still took 45 minutes to get our order. Again, overall, great food!

The food is always good. The bartenders know how to make a good mixed drink.

I came here with my family of five and we were very elated by our experience. The food was so fresh, flavorful, and good sized portions. The vibes was comfortable, friendly, and beautiful dining room. I would be happy to return next time im in Kalamazoo

Cosmo's and O'Duffy's (Irish pub downstairs) are great! The waitstaff are fun and efficient, the food is good and more varied than you'd expect based on the Italian designation. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. The building is historic, previously housing various neighborhood restaurants. The light upstairs is filtered through stained glass. The seating is arranged in groups, making it feel smaller and more intimate than it is. There's outdoor dining on the second-floor deck! O'Duffy's, downstairs, is presided over by Molly, a good-natured and beautiful Burmese mountain dog. Try the Sunday brunch, or stop in for drinks downstairs at O'Duffy's in the evening. The pub menu is good, as are the drinks. Note that Cosmo's is all upstairs, so not very accessible if stairs are an issue. O'Duffy's is accessible.

Love cosmos. Usually, they’re pretty busy for brunch. Highly recommend calling ahead to reserve a table/check availability! Also, they are closed on random weekends and most holidays, so at the very least, just call ahead to make sure they are open!! Great food and friendly staff 🙂

I often go here with my girlfriend and her family. It is our favorite place to go out to eat in Kalamazoo. Their food is always excellent and there is always a great atmosphere. Their duck is one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had.

As always, the service, food and ambiance were amazing. I had the Smoked Salmon Scramble and it was a culinary delight. Paired with a Bloddy Maria and some marbled rye, it was the perfect lazy start to a Saturday morning.

Recently tried Cosmo's for the first time. Overall it was a good experience. I had a dish contained poached eggs with hollandaise, corned beef hash, rye bread and potatoes. The poached eggs had solid yokes, which isn't how I prefer them. Generally, poached eggs are supposed to have runny yokes, and I'll ask for that next time. The corned beef hash was where the dish shined. Cosmo's corned beef is excellent. I bet they would make a very good ruben. The rye bread served with the dish was very good, and the potatos were also good.The hollandaise sauce was bland, which is a shame because hollandaise should be so flavorful. The portion size for my meal was good, though my wife's was small. The prices are reasonable, but maybe just a little bit overpriced. The service was decent, not great, but not bad. The wait for the dish was a little long. The atmosphere was pleasant, second floor above an Irish pub (very similar to the style of the Crow's Nest). Overall, I enjoyed the dish, and the experience enough to try Cosmo's again.

Great bloody mary’s, great breakfast specials and selection, friendly service, and excellent atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique happy little place to enjoy with friends.

We have always enjoyed the location and atmosphere of O'Duffy's/Cosmo's. Tonight we decided to go with the bar menu, and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (on their menu), but no tomato, cooked medium, with fries. Our waiter informed us that fries are not available because "they don't like to cook them", but if I upgrade to the Wagyu I could get the fries. Ok, disguised $4 upcharge to get fries. Btw, what kind of Irish pub in the U.S. doesn't have fries (i.e. fish and chips)? The burger shows up with a gigantic roasted tomato and some kind of white cheese. I pointed out that I specifically asked for no tomato, and am served a burger where tomato is the star of the show. I asked to have the burger remade, and our server was quite huffy about the whole thing. A few minutes later I am served a rare, completely plain burger, no cheddar cheese, no bacon, no nothing. I managed as best as I could, and imagine my surprise when the bill showed up with the full charge for the Wagyu Burger! Completely unprofessional, the server should have involved management. When he cam back to pick up the check, I asked for the Wagyu burger to be comped, and much more huffiness ensued. Btw, all other food and drink for the evening was excellent. Perhaps it is time for them to narrow down to the Cosmo's concept so that us diners won't be troubling the kitchen by ordering items from the pub menu.

The menu is very creative and everything on it is delicious. You can upgrade your burger to wagyu beef and it will make it the best burger you've ever had. Try the mushroom burger with the cherry sauce.

Had a lovely breakfast on the deck. Brie and mushroom omelet and blueberry buckwheat waffle we're both great.

The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The prices are a little high, but the food was worth is.

I eat well here every time I’m in Kalamazoo - always surprised at the new flavors but happy to see old favorites on the menu. Most best is to enjoy a drink or two downstairs prior to the fine dining.

My first time eating here was on Valentine’s Day – so the service we received was probably not representative of their service on a normal day. But I was disappointed. Our waitress took forever to come back and take our order, and our food didn’t come until almost an hour after we arrived. She never came to check in while we were waiting for our meals, though she was able to stop and talk to the table next to us multiple times. The salad I ordered to start was noticeably salty, and my vodka pasta was lukewarm and the sauce was very sweet. We paid nearly $80 for 1 soup, 1 salad, and 2 entrees. I might give them one more chance, but ultimately I left disappointed by the steep price I paid for mediocre service and food.

My husband said Irish Pub and my brain said fish and chips. The menu said everything but Irish food. I was lost, sorta mad and ordered a Guinness to make it all better. Then I ordered another Guinness because when my mind is set on something... Finally I decided on the oven roasted duck breast and substituted regular mashed potatoes for the mashed sweet potatoes. I am so glad there were no fish chips on the menu. The duck was delicious. Though two Guinness beers don't usually have an effect on me...I swear I saw a dog walking around that place ; ]
